Sandy Pony Donuts

Had Sandy Pony donuts for our wedding, and it was a slam-dunk choice. We got so many compliments from guests on having done this as opposed to a traditional wedding cake. Affordable, delicious, colorful, and it comes together fast.

Cake donuts, they were fresh, the glaze was just right and everything tasted good. I think the presentation is a little mediocre which worried me on the taste but turned out good. I only gave a 4 start because they only have cake donuts and the price is a little up there. For a specialty shop the folks behind the counter were great, the price was fair and the food was good.

Came for a quick mid morning snack on Sunday the 29th around 12 pm. We were the only ones here, service was quick and the donuts were warm. It was a cute small shop with great music playing. I had the blueberry pie, my partner had the yabba dabba doo-nut, my kids had the pony party and snow cap. They were all very delicious and we have some to take home and try later. We will definitely be stopping by again at some point when in the area now that we know it exist.

Got a half dozen donuts for the first time yesterday. They were all delicious but the Sand Dune was heaven! Almost forgot to snap the pic before we dug in. Staff was super friendly.

I came on a rainy Tuesday morning so I can't say anything for a normal wait time. But I was taken care of immediately and it was really cool to see the donuts dropped into the oil to cook. I sat in my car and meant to wait but couldn't cause the smells that were emanating from the donut box were too tempting. I ate the Porky Pony donut....oh my goodness. I?m a little annoyed. I?ve been coming here for years and unfortunately moved away from the area. I called in advance this morning to confirm they were open on a holiday and I was told yes, we are open until 12:30pm. I repeated ?12:30? So I meant to take a picture once I got in the car. Unfortunately, because the donuts were so warm and smelled so delicious I totally forgot and remembered as I was done eating. Ordered the Yabba Dabba, cookies n' cream, and the pony party. The one that surprised me the most was the pony party, the strawberry glaze did not over power the donut and worked well with the sprinkles. The fact that the donuts were warm made the whole experience delicious. Can't wait to try the rest. Update: we went for more :-D

I waited a day to make sure I was not as upset after my visit. I visit this place every first Monday of the month and I went on 2/5/24 like normal. I love the $1 donut Mondays and have been coming to this location since they were located in the Annapolis Town center. I get the same order every time as I really enjoy the donuts. Gluten free options available! Staff was very knowledgeable, and shared which ones were "celiac safe" versus "gluten free friendly." Ordered ahead and pick up was very easy. And, most importantly, the donuts were DELICIOUS!!

Phenomenal, these were so good and at a great price. I got a chocolate and a fruity pebbles one and they came straight out if the fryer. Again these were amazing and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Also the dark roast coffee was great. All in all a great experience.

I've had donuts all over the country, and these are the best. Fresh fried, melt in your mouth chunks of heaven. Never too sweet, perfect size. We love going to Chincoteague for them, it's become a tradition. There will probably be a line, as there should be with all the best things. They're worth it!

Stopped in to check it out and was pleasantly surprised to discover they are served freshly baked and topped to order. Was a little apprehensive when I saw they were cake donuts since in some places those can be stale but these were amazing! These did not last the weekend as planned and we ended up finishing the whole box in one sitting. Well worth the food coma!

Let's get straight to the point. They look mediocre. But they are the best donut I've ever had. You cannot go to Dunkin or Krispy Kreme after going to sandy pony because it feels like a waste. Everything about this place is great. The donuts are specially made. Very different from Dunkin, much better. And there service is on another level. They ask if you need plates and forks which is vary rare now.

This place is great! My granddaughters insisted that I leave a review because they loved it so much :-). The cake donuts are the lightest ever, there are many different flavors, and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The donuts were warm, which surprised us, and they were served very quickly. We love this place. My younger son has food allergies, and they are really good here at preventing cross-contamination. This is the only place in town that I have found where he can have a donut safely. Plus, the donuts are awesome! The acai bowls are splendid, too. They also have bubble tea. What's not to like?

The real deal. I'm shocked there isn't a line out this place every morning. We have tried a bunch of flavors but the French Toast donut is without a doubt one of the greatest things to come out of Annapolis, Maryland. Sandy Pony Donuts are delicious! Finding a (good) gluten free donut has been a huge challenge for me in the last eight years since developing an allergy to wheat/gluten. Their gluten free donuts are amazing and the owner made sure of inform me about their process of making the donuts, cross contamination and what flavors would be safe. When I?ve ordered in store the employees are very careful in the preparation to avoid cross contamination. My husband and family are also huge fans of their regular donuts!

We used Sandy Pony for our wedding to add to our cake. They are very responsive, and great customer service. I was able to order a lot of donuts with ease. I had some help to find out what was popular when I wasn't sure what flavors to get or how many flavors to have at a wedding. Very affordable and they tasted amazing of course. I was disappointed when I saw that these were cake only, THEN I TASTED IT, it is a cross between a cake and a crispy creme. NEVER HAD A DONUT SO GOOD. It was served warm and rivals any fried pastry I have ever had. Very good donut.

The owner, Ben, and his staff went out of their way to answer our questions and make sure that we had a safe and delicious experience. Highly recommended!

Love this place. My favorites are banana coconut and the cinnamon bacon one. I always get the coconut bubble tea. I do understand why people don't like the bubble tea here because it is not typical or traditional but it still tastes good so I don't see the problem ?????. I don't find it overpriced considering your doughnut is literally made when you order it and warm throughout the car ride home. I have to say the few negative reviewers seem like they would be hard-to-please customers at any establishment.

We've been here a dozen times and always a great experience. Try the Pony Pile - a warm donut with ice cream, a great after dinner treat or anytime. These donuts are wonderful! Hot, moist, a variety of flavors and better than that other beach donut place. The owners are often there and so friendly!

The donut experience here is very different than at a Dunkin. At Sandy pony you have a base donut and they put flavored glazes and toppings on each one. I tried nine different flavors and they were all delicious. The service was quick, extremely courteous and helpful. The donuts were to die for. I highly recommend.

Sandy Pony Donuts impressed me a great deal. It's the first ready-to-order donut shop I've been to. I bought the mud pie, which is their chocolate glazed donut with chocolate sprinkles. The donut itself had a good density to it and was hot and fluffy. It honestly was just fantastic and I devoured it in under a minute. The customer service is friendly and the atmosphere in the store is great. I'd feel dishonest to rate any less than 5 stars.

I. LOVE. SANDY. PONY. They have the best donuts I have ever eaten. I go there frequently. I go multiple times a day. The people who work there recognize me and my friend. I discovered them while driving to work one morning and after having the Ms. Sandy, the Sand Dune and the Banana Coconut, I have fallen IN LOVE with this place.
