Rollen Donuts

It is all about taste, servcie and how cleanliness. Rollen Donuts exceeds in all three. My favorite is their maple bar. I travel a lot and haven't found one better than theirs. The service is fabulous and if you come at the right time, you can see them being made.

I like bittersweet, so I got the chocolate twist. These were sweeter than that. They let you see the process right in front and if they aren't busy they will make individual custom orders right on the spot. If I'm in town I will visit again.

This is one of the best donut places ever. Especially go in the morning when they're nice and fresh. I get them for my youth group every Sunday morning. On a side note they have other options that are meat and cheese coffee and other such things. ????? Next week I remember to get a picture.

They make good donuts but the place is filthy I had a donut that had a piece of hair in it. I tried to get a refund but they didn?t believe me. they need to wear hair nets!

Family favorite, the Rollen donut was handed down to the present owners, and they have meticulously carried the recipe to greatness. I remember the original owners and the lines keep coming g for their airy, flavorful donuts and croissant ham sandwiches. Great full roast coffee and prices are great. Family owned and friendly people.

We got there late (went for National Donut Day) so selection was limited. They only had one raised left (with some crumb topping) and it was SO good.

Rollen donuts are the best donut shop in Merced. They have a great assortment of donuts that will make your mouth water. Their jelly filled or custard filled donuts are the bomb. If that doesn't float your boat the donut holes will for sure.

The donut are delicious. They are fluffy, still warm and melts in your mouth. The oil they cook the donuts in is fresh. No burnt taste at all. The owners are very sweet If your heading to Yosemite or visiting someone at Mercy Hospital you must stop here and get a box. You will not be disappointed. They're breakfast ham, egg & cheese croissant is a favorite.

The Donuts are as fresh an good as they were when my grandmother used to buy them here for the crew working at one of our Turkey ranches when I was a boy. I'm now a grandpa and really enjoyed having a fresh donut in Merced again. California has the best donuts. I'd have given it 5 stars but inside seating is very utilitarian.

Easily the best doughnuts you will probably ever have. Made fresh every morning. Everything is very fresh and never dry. Get there early for the biggest selection and warm doughnuts. Ive been going to this location for 20+ years and even though the owners have changed the techniques and flavors were passed down and adopted perfectly. Owners are nice and awesome people who love what they do. Definitely can't leave without at least a dozen donut holes.

I came from out of town to get their cinnamon crumble twist donuts because they is da best! They always use fresh oil because they never taste like oil, and they spare no expense on flavoring them properly and abundantly. Give your mouth a tasty treat and check it out!

I stopped by as I returned home from a camping trip. It was around 5am, I didnt know anything more than the sign read " open" and the reviews were generally good. I walked in and they were making the donuts fresh right before my eyes! the layout is open and the kitchen visible from the counter, nothing to hide here. I ate three raised donuts, that morning, two plain glazed and one maple, and they were practically perfect. I dream of those donuts often, and hope this wild ride of life brings me there once

Gotta say, discovering Rollen Donuts was a truly delicious surprise. Everything is fresh and made right there behind the counter. The jelly donuts are filled right in front of you. Fresh and wonderful, all in a friendly family-run store. Even the savoury croissants are delicious. And the prices are ... extremely friendly on the wallet.

Super friendly and quick service. Donuts fresh, competent, and good value. We fed my mom a birthday-breakfast Apple fritter that she loved, and the moist, dense, not-too-sweet cake almost won over my die-hard team-raised daughter. Merced is increasingly a college town; we were in and out quickly but I really appreciated the zero-hipster vibe, without a hint of intolerance from the regulars. Part of why I love the valley!

Saying "the best" is common to hear lately but if you want the best apple fritter hands down you should consider visiting one morning. The glazed, maple, or powdered, donuts and bars are also great. They have been so fresh that they almost fall apart and melt in your mouth. When near Merced fishing we have go by Rollen!

Ive been coming here for about close to 20 years now, best donuts i have had. Really crisp and fresh. Theres only been one time that ive gone and the donuts were cold making it not taste so good.

Cooking and service areas are dirty. It brings to question the cleanliness of the food products they sell. The price is not competitive in comparison to other donut shops in Merced that sell better quality.

I miss this place so much.Rollen was my uncle ..I spent many mornings .making donuts.and scrubbing pots ..looks like they are still making them the same way we used to..that's exactly the way the original old fashioned looked from day one...I can taste those cream filled as I type this...

Rollen Donuts is my favorite donut shop here in Merced California it's better than Yum Yum's are any other want to be donut shop I love rollen donuts especially like at between 5 and 7 a.m. Because the donuts are fresh and soft and they just melt-in-your-mouth practically and it goes great with McDonald's coffee cuz coffee is only a dollar at McDonald's for any size so it's Grand

We were trying to purchase donuts for a school event and needed them ready by 5am. This is the only place in Merced that said they could handle it. We are so grateful they came through for us.
