Rise Southern Biscuits & Righteous Chicken - Durham Southpoint

I used to LOVE coming here with my boyfriend, for years. He always got the Buffalo chicken sandwich, and I loved that they had so many vegetarian options that were honestly the best I'd ever had. Recently both of these things (including the whole veggie section) disappeared from the menu without notice. We're both quite upset:/

I ordered through DoorDash & I was surprised at how fast it got here and I am certain that these biscuits were made somewhere in heaven if there is such a place!!! Perfection!! The art of making biscuits is a serious thing and whoever makes these biscuits is a very special individual lol!! ?? I've been in town for 3 days and I've eaten breakfast here everyday! When you really want the best breakfast biscuit this is the place! Are there chicken biscuits are second to none and their sauces are really superb. Really great service and a delicious menu of biscuits to choose from. Perfect for a quick bite or pickup, but not much seating indoors if it's cold out. I had the southern chicken biscuit and that pimento cheese did not disappoint!

YUM! You use a touch screen to self order and then wait. You can also order online and walk in and pick up. Pick up is from a locker. The lockers are genius! Limited seating inside and tables outside if weather is good. Lots of parking. Kind employees! Highly recommend!

My fries were delicious I thoroughly enjoyed those. Although the chicken biscuit was honestly a 1/5 the biscuit was dry and hard, the chicken was rubbery i?m guessing it was overcooked and sat out for too long because it wasn?t hot. The pickles were ok the best thing taste wise on the biscuit I only ate 2 bites before I just gave up on it. Everything is self service and I unlike others prefer it that way although I can understand the frustration for the pos asking for a tip?for what exactly ?

Order from here pretty often. All of a sudden was told that my order was already picked up. I have a very unique name and with their system you have to enter the entire first name and the last initial to pick it up out of the box so not sure how something like this happened.

It bothers me when places like this ask for tip and don?t default to 0%. In fact, tipping 0% required putting in a custom amount from what I remember. I ordered biscuits for my team at Meadowmont Animal Hospital and the experience couldn?t have been better or easier! I miss the old counter setup where you could interact with their staff but using the app was so easy.

So, this was a serviceable chicken sandwich, but Rise used to be such a local gem! At this point though, it feels like we could have gotten the same quality chicken biscuit from a fast food place for cheaper and with faster service. The chicken on their biscuit was thin and a bit tough - maybe it had been under a heating lamp too long? Either way, their biscuits are just not worth the price point anymore. It's so disappointing knowing how great they used to be, and realizing how mediocre they are now.

The most delicious biscuits contain runny eggs, Rise is the only local place I can find that has delicious biscuits. The coffee is always fresh and the pastries are addictively good.

My food was cold. The sausage was so nasty I could even eat it. They have a self serve kiosk and expect you to tip, pay your workers if you can charge this much for mediocre food you can pay a fair wage. The line gets held up because no one can work the kiosk and it?s only one.

I was running late this morning and accidentally chose the wrong location for my biscuit. I was super sad about missing breakfast but the staff was super understanding and helped me get my biscuit. Great service and understanding. Thank you again!!

Tried them out for the first time yesterday and was disappointed with the food I received. I called and the manager on duty happily refunded my money, and did offer another meal but I declined (was happy with the refund) and told them I?d try them again. Ordered biscuits this morning and they were delicious, and I believe the manager recognized my name on the order as there was a free donut in my bag. OMG! I thought this place would be overhyped by my friends who had recently moved down to Chapel Hill and I'm so happy to say that it was not. I've been eating here since they first opened. It just keeps getting better. Their ability to serve a tremendous amount of people at once is mind-blowing. Right up there with Chick-fil-A if not faster. And omg that bacon, egg and cheese is the bomb.

It had been a while since I've been here, and it's certainly not the same. The donut selection used to be 12 or more donuts, now there's a pretty slim selection. The Maple Bacon used to be a bar with a full piece of bacon, now it's a tiny donut with broken pieces - and the dough does not seem as rich. The Apple Fritter has shrunk. My Fried Green Tomato Biscuit was also not as flavorful as before. The only thing that seems to have stayed the same are the prices.

I've been here a few times when traveling through the area and am never disappointed! I like the "Avocado Toast Biscuit". It comes with a slightly spicy sauce that's so tasty. I had this with okra for breakfast/lunch yesterday and recommend.

I am not a fan of biscuits, so I like that Rise allows you to build a breakfast sandwich on a potato roll. I got the Country Ham with fried egg and cheese. Delicious ?? Don't sleep on the fried okra! I have been a fan of Rise since it opened a decade ago. Mobile order is fast and easy. The biscuits are delicious. Fried green-pimento cheese sandwich is my fave.

Seriously the best fried chicken biscuit! I added a fried green tomato...it was amazing with the bacon and pimento cheese! They were super busy, which is typical for all the rise locations. The only thing that was disappointing is they seem to have less donuts than they used to. I know all the locations are a little different and sell accordingly. But it won't deter me from returning. I do want to try the cheddar biscuit the next time...how amazing would that be!

First time at this location this morning and I was surprised there were no display cases and only kiosks to order. I got home and opened my box to reveal this monstrosity that was supposed to be a cinnamon roll. It was burnt and hard as a rock. Had there been a display case and I saw what they looked like I wouldn?t have bought this. Donut and biscuit were ok. Won?t be returning to this Rise.

The new self order station is very hard to navigate. They don't offer the cheddar biscuit upgrade for some of their options. If you want to customize your biscuit you have to order stuff on the side and add it to your biscuit yourself. The build a biscuit ends up being 3 or 4 dollars more if you try to build the one you want instead of ordering extra sides to add to an existing biscuit They also don't do any of their biscuit or donut specials anymore, which was part of the reason I started coming here y

Ordered the delicious chicken club and it did not disappoint!! It was so delicious, along with the rise seasoned tots!! Amazing place, I highly recommend the build your own sandwich with lots of veggies. The fresh veggies pair perfectly with the savory eggs and biscuit. The drip coffee is amazing as well. I've been getting breakfast here every other week since I moved nearby and realized I haven't written a review. Highly recommend the beignets and apple fritters as well! All in all, a gem. When the weather is good, the outdoor seating is excellent.

This Rise location is best for takeout due to lack of dine in space. Otherwise, the quality of the biscuits and service from employees is great. I ordered online and arrived earlier than scheduled. It seemed quiet in this branch so the employees prepared my two biscuit order and handed it over soon after I arrived.

This rise location was extremely unorganized and poor customer service. After ordering online and waiting an extra 20 mins after my order time, the food was cold. It took a total of 40 mins for us to get 3 biscuits. Never coming here again. The manager poorly managed the situation.

Donuts and biscuit sandwiches are very tasty! Online ordering makes it very convenient, especially for weekend mornings when they're super busy. Staff is generally pretty warm and friendly. My only complaint is that they used to have such a great selection of unique donuts, flavors and styles you couldn't find in the chain stores. About a year or so ago, though, they've become more mainstreamed and have cut back significantly on those rarer offerings, so I don't find myself wanting to go there as much.

Glazed donuts at $2 a pop only to be stale and dry. The beignets were tough but okay, definitely better than the donuts....overall: No thanks they were less than desirable. Not sure if it was an off morning as I've had them before and they tasted better . The woman who handed me my order was pleasant which is why the 2 stars beyond that i will pass. What once was a great place for breakfast has devolved into an impersonal ?modern? dining experience. You dont talk to anyone. The donuts are no longer hand made on site, and have significantly less options. My experience today has taken over 32 minutes for 1 biscuit and 3 donuts. I?m sure the original owners made some good money, and they did a great job. But this new experience is simply terrible. I?m calling to cancel my order now.

When I pay $6 for a ham biscuit that I order on a self-serve kiosk from a store that advertises that they pay a living wage, I really don't understand why I'm then asked to tip. I also don't understand why it takes 12 minutes to get a basic biscuit. If the biscuit had seemed fresh, I would have understood that timing. We get rise about once a month since we live nearby. When they are on it, the biscuits are amazing and huge and perfectly cooked and the chicken is fantastic. But when they are not on it, they have forgotten toppings, chicken has been cold, etc. I wish they were more consistent. They still do a good job of changing up the menu and just launched a new menu about a month or so ago. Overall would recommend.

The Southpoint location is always reliable. They are efficient, they always get the order correct and the food is always delicious. The store is always clean and accommodating. If you need a biscuit fix, RISE is one of the best places to fulfill it.

I came with my dog, and they offered to bring my food outside to me so I didn?t have to leave her alone while I waited inside. Very nice of them
