OMG. So good. Prices were fair. Parking was easy. Specialty donuts were excellent. They also have coffee and a variety of delicious snacks!

Olfe Chesterton doesn't have anything like this. I would say this is a number one. Excellent donut comfy Even though I shouldn't be eating them once you get them, you can't stop. Thank you all for having such a wonderful store. We'll be back

The donuts are amazing! They are huge, soft, and stuffed with fillings (bought the stuffed donuts ?? only). Parking is tight and it is a nightmare to get out of the parking lot, but the donuts are worth the effort. I've been craving them since someone gave me one.

The Rise and Roll bakery has always been my favorite for their chocolate chip cookies, but sadly the recipe must have changed because they are definitely not the same. Hopefully they will get back to their original recipe!

We have just moved to Valpo so I ordered these donuts with out ever having even been and I am so happy we went with this bakery. The lady I spoke to on the phone (I think she was a manager or the owner) was so nice and helped me pick out the donut for our party theme. The price was great and they were SOOO delicious!!! Updated: Since you asked why I didn't give you a 5 star review.....When we walked in the store 5 minutes before it's closed. A staff came out and said, "We are actually closed for business." We responded, "The sign says 'Open' and the door is unlocked." I was going to get other baked goods but because of what he said I just rush and browsed through the baked goods and didn't get anything other than 2 donuts. There is a reason they were voted one of the best doughnut places in the U.S. Large selection and made fresh daily. 4 star on atmosphere because no place to really sit. I have no idea how anyone would say these doughnuts are small. They are large with generous amounts of different fillings. They are addicting.

If you don't try the toffee crumbled, caramel iced donut, you'll regret it for the rest of your life. Promise! Edit....they have started skimping on the toffee and when I mentioned it, they shifted blame and told me that's how it's going to be. I bought 4. 2 had a decent amount of toppings and 2 had toffee dust. So their explanation tanked immediately. Poor decision. Boo. Hiss.

Absolutely phenomenal! I walked in and immediately smelled Middlebury, IN. I bought the Chocolate Covered Strawberry and Lemon Jelly doughnuts today and they are to DIE for! This is DEFINITELY the place to make your "regular spot." SO GOOD!

The flavor is the only thing that's the same about these donuts, they shrunk to about ? the size they originally were, way less filling and they are no longer as fresh. The donuts are absolutely delicious. Very soft and fresh. They are even good the next day. The caramel cream filled are my favorite followed by the old-fashioned donuts. For the quality I feel the price is reasonable. I recommend going early to get the best selection.

I?ve been to Valpo bakery 3 times. Each time the donuts tasted old, dry, flavorless? telltale sign of mass production. The last time there I tried my all time favorite treat, apple fritter. So disappointing. The apple fritter lacked apples and cinnamon, the main flavor ingredients. There were only 2 tiny pieces of apple and barely a hint of cinnamon. We host our biweekly company meeting at Rise N Roll bakery. The staff is very accommodating to our needs. The customer service is for exceeds our expectations. As for the donuts, well they are voted America?s number one donut.!!

I love the layout but when I came in the young lady behind the counter looked at me and didn't speak and looked away. I wasn't upset by this because I know some of the young generation struggle with social skills seeing they do alot of there socializing via smart phones. I ordered and the donuts were good. Not my top choice but still were great donuts. Everyone has there preference.

We have been a few times. Great donuts for a great price. They're always packed full of filling. We recently brought our kids when they had Santa. Best decision I've ever made. Barely any line and a great Santa. Give it a chance.

It says they have gluten free donuts. But they in fact do not. They have Katz frozen gf donuts. Well, they said they have them sometimes, but not today . Don?t advertise you have stuff when you don?t. I can buy gf donuts from the grocery store.

Took my sister, niece, and great niece for their first visit! Ate our doughnuts there. They loved it! We all bought some take-home goodies!! Will have to go earlier next tim. Some of the doughnuts were already gone. You also get a complimentary free small coffee! Super sweet ladies there!

The interior is so cool! Clean and trendy without being too hipster. Nice building and love that it's so close to the uni. They also work with locals to run fundraisers, which is so important in this community. Of course, like everyone else, I love their donuts! I'm glad I don't live in that building anymore or I would be extremely overweight and a true glutton for their donuts.

We really enjoy this place. Their donuts are delicious! And they last for days, without getting stale! My only complaint is that some of their flavors miss the mark. But their cinnamon Carmel donut, which is their specialty I think, is phenomenal! Some of their other flavors are really good, as well, just not all of them.

I called to confirm they were going to be open till 5. (I have never been there) so I drive out there and when I got there, they said they ran out of donuts awhile ago. Well, why in the hell didn't they tell me that when I called?? There were 3 other people who came out and was unaware of no donuts too. When people call they should let the people know of the status. I heard they r amazing. I'll try another time earlier in the day. Wel, my third time back, and it's only noon. And not one donut. I give up.

I just cannot say enough about this place. I cannot think of any other pastry place that I will gladly drop $30 a visit. Get there early because the best selections are sold out by 12. Well... Disappointed. They don't have old fashioned cake doughnuts and the Carmel ice coffee was hardly that. I'm a 1st time visitor and didn't enjoy the iced blueberry doughnut I did get. Lastly, the person at the register was tolerant of us at best. However, the older person was nice.

Rise'n Roll went above and beyond for our wedding! We ordered through them for the dessert portion of the reception! When we went in to see their options, they gave us a free half dozen to try for the upcoming celebration. Upon ordering, they were very flexible and helpful with their suggestions and they were able to give us exactly what we ordered very quickly. Everyone loved the donuts and were asking where we got them! My wife and I happily hyped up Rise'n Roll and recommended it to everyone!

Filled donuts are barely filled. Bought a lemon cream and there was a dab of filling. Also got a blueberry danish which tasted like it was days old. This is the second bad experience with the valpo store. The girl told me they receive their goods from mishawaka it must be their day old donuts. I know the ?folks? in Mishawaka would never put up with this garbage. Stay away unless you want poor quality.

Never had anything bad from here!! Go early for the best donut selection!! The help is usually very pleasant, however there are a few ladies who are NOT friendly or personable at all.

My only complaint is how everything presented. It's awkward coming in and being asked what you want without knowing what is available. I had ordered a donut before I realized there were cinnamon rolls available, since they are by the register and packaged. I had rise n roll donuts instead of cake at my wedding and they were a HUGE HIT and very affordable. Working with Kat the donut queen was a wonderful experience and I would definitely order for an event again.

Everything we got was just OK. Didn't get donuts because they were out. People say they're addicted to this place, but some grocery stores have items that are better. (Stracks in Chesterton has an excellent bakery.) We were especially disappointed in Rise'n Roll's cookies. Every cafe/coffeehouse I've been to has much better cookies that actually taste homemade.

OMG!!!! Best donuts in town. Now I was a huge Dunkin? Donuts fan! But I heard a lot of my co-workers talking about this place, so I told them if this place is that good I will buy donuts for everyone in the office. I've been here 7 times now over the course of a year attempting to purchase ice cream donuts and every single time I've go there I'm told the icecream machine is broke.
