Their new place is nice! My go to donut shop. The donuts are made fresh daily, so you can expect a soft, melt in your mouth experience with every bite. The shop itself has a casual vibe and the staff are incredibly friendly. Their coffee pairs beautifully with the donuts too, making it an ideal stop for a morning pick-me-up. Definitely worth checking out.

2024 Visit , Just Ok. Last year everything was amazing. Perhaps they changed the recipes. In speaking with other customers they say they have definitely gone the cheaper route in making the food selections. Donuts don't taste the same, no longer bursting with filling and the apple danish looked great in the display but tasted not so great. Nice little store. Everything is always fresh and delicious. Rather pricey for some items, but that's probably because most things are locally made. Definitely recommend the doughnuts and pies.

I am from Ohio and make the trip without question regularly. Some of the best donuts i have come across through out the country and I can eat them without any worries, even with some digestive issues I deal with. The people at this location are always very sweet and super helpful.

Nice local Amish bakery and market. They are known for their cinnamon caramel donuts, appropriately named 'Amish crack'. Very addicting and usually have samples out for you to try. Aside from that, they have a host of other foods and goods celebrating Amish culture. You'll have to stop yourself from loading up your basket with everything you see.

Employees were rude bc I came in 10 mins until close. He was upset that he had to do his job i guess. Hopefully you get paid hourly, and maybe the 10 mins you had to work bc of store hours put you in over time. But with that being said the food was awesome Worth the grumpy kid making way more then he deserves.

I always try to stop by this place when I'm in town visiting family. It's hard to go wrong with donuts dipped in caramel and powdered with cinnamon sugar. Wide variety of other flavors, but it's the classic that keeps me coming back. And I heard that they started doing the donut holes again, which are the PERFECT balance of caramel and cinnamon per bite.

Looks great inside but they don?t have any baked goods left. Lots of canned goods. It says deli but I didn?t see anything that would qualify as a deli item.

Came to Rise and Roll for your apple fritters. 1/2 dozen was $12.95. Yours were half the size. I can get the same thing at Essenhause for the same price/size. Until then Martins apple fritters are good enough.

Sad news, they moved, small space, no seating area, parking area socks, Guy serving wasn't that friendly, prices went up alot.

Great selection of homemade Amish food. There is also a service counter to order doughnuts or ice cream and a small seating area. Friendly staff and clean establishment.

Lots of nice samples, but they are all over the store and not necessarily by the product they are set out for, so walk around and look for samples then make your choices. Based on the sample selection, you can't go wrong. I ended up buying mostly individual things to sample with my group, the only exception was a loaf of "sausage roll " bead ($12.99 a loaf, totally worth it!). Something for everyone literally, they even have a gluten free section.

This bakery is AMAZING! I?ve had their apple cider donuts and their pumpkin bars, and they were delicious. My favorite was the Pumpkin Bars. Perfect balance of cream cheese icing and pumpkin spice. The cake was so moist it practically melted in your mouth. Fabulous goods and quality ingredients.

Our family loves doughnuts. We're always looking for good spots when out of town. These were very good. There cinnamon doughnuts were especially wonderful.

When I 1st moved here, I asked staff at hotel where is good donuts. The girl at Hotel said Rise n Roll. She said the donuts are like "crack" (highly addictive) She was right! These donuts are amazing! Made fresh daily in an Amish community they are, quite possibly, the best donuts I've ever had!

Online orders should be ready for pick up separately from walk in. Thats the point of ordering online. Great doughnuts. Holy God are they.

Don't bother coming 1-2 hrs before closing. They will pack up all the donuts in a box and try to sell you 6. I just wanted 2.

Excellent service and outstanding product! These are really yummy pastries and Amish delights abound in this pleasant establishment. The best service I've found are the early morning staff that really make you feel welcome and happy to spend your money for a good product. If you can ignore non -welcoming looks from the staff that work after the morning group , which I do cause the food is so yummy, then you'll enjoy your visit here. Was in town for work and my company had cinnamon donuts from here as our morning snack. They were so good that I had to find this place and get some before I left, to bring them home to the family. Store was neat and clean, service was great. Had a wide selection of Amish style food, donuts and pies. But if you go I highly recommend those donuts!

Amazing bakery goods, especially the caramel cinnamon donuts! The other donuts are also delicious, but I was disappointed by the cappuccino I received. It was clearly an "instant" mix and it had terrible flavor. For such a nice bakery, it would be nice to see the addition of "real" espresso and coffee options to complement things.

Is there a reason they only make the cinnamon donuts on Wednesday Thursday and Friday? My husband has been trying to get some for a while and they either are sold out or, as they told him today, they don't make them every day, they will be able to on Wednesday. A colleague always raved about cinnamon caramel donuts. I thought "I get it already. Besides, they can't be that damn good". I'm in South Bend, so I decided to make the short drive over while I'm in town. My god! The cinnamon caramel donuts are totally worth the rave. The peanut butter filled and bismarks are crazy good too. Now I have to apologize to him.

Their caramel powdered donut is the best donut I've ever had, anywhere, period. Friendly and open early, the morning after my second son was born my wife had me wake up at 6:30 so I could go get her one of their amazing cinnamon rolls.

A nice bakery venue, staff is pleasant, store is spacious and airy with a pleasant atmosphere. Do the have gluten free products? Yes, a few, but if you want actual gluten free bakery goods, this isn't the place. They have a few more-packages things, and they have a gluten free frozen section, but there are absolutely no gluten free fresh baked goods. This store should be listed as a bakery with a gluten free section, no fresh baked gluten free.

It's be five starts if they hadn't closed the cafe. Seriously yummy breakfast. Ahh well. But this place is still pure evil. I am an apple fritter sommelier (okay maybe that's just for wine) and I have to buy their fritters six a time. Ask about the crack doughnuts next time your in.

My wife and I are huge donut fans. Whenever we travel, we find local donut shops en route. The cinnamon caramel (aka Amish Crack) and caramel with bavarian filling are among the best we've ever had. Great customer service and free small coffee to boot. Highly recommended!

I don't normally eat donuts. I had two of these cream filled, cinnamon donuts in a 2 hour period. I was so full I couldn't move and I got that kind of sleepy you get after Thanksgiving dinner and passed out for the night. It's the next day and I still feel full.

Best donuts in the area. Compared to Krispy Kreme, Jack's Donuts, Martin's Supermarket Donuts, Dunkin Donuts these take the cake. They are soft, moist, good portion and have a different variety of flavors. Even a day old they are pretty soft and hold up well. Anywhere else the donuts will be dry, over priced and small, or just plain not very good. Love their donuts. I wish they were open later in the evenings for when you get cravings for something sweet.

Went to pick up a box of "Amish crack" (Maple powered donut holes). Beats any brand local or national. Took off a star because I was going to get a load of fresh bread, but was told they only do flavored bread around holidays. Kind of surprising considering all the other bakery items they have.

I've had their "Amish Crack" donut before, delicious! But actuality going into this quaint shop was just fun. As a Yoder.. And having some experience with the Amish cuisine.. This bakery is a godsend. Cinnamon rolls are phenomenal and they have MONSTER COOKIES!! my grandmother used to make these when I was a child. Incredible donuts and pastries. Staff is always kind and attentive. We love to get the fresh donuts but also the day old ones which are always discounted! Still great treats.

I really like stopping in at Rise'n Roll. The bathrooms are always clean and the store is kept up well. It is always fun to try their new donuts. They also sell pies and other little snack items.

My wife insisted that we stop at Rise'n Roll on our drive from Pennsylvania. I was a little sceptical since it added a descent amount of time to our drive.... But. Out was it worth it!!! These donuts are AMAZING!!! Fluffy and chewy, but not doughy. They are COMPLETELY covered in cinnamon sugar, so make sure you have plenty of napkins when you eat them! This is definitely a place to stop in South Bend if you are there or just passing through.

A South Bend classic! Definitely check them out. They have so much more than their most famous cinnamon sugared doughnut. Jams, sauces, and pickled goodies are amongst their other offerings.

Omg. I came to visit some friends, looked online for don't places nearby. Came across the reviews and this place it's amazing!!I got their signature donut and it's amazing!! Not to mention the free coffee with purchase. When I cone back to visit we're already planning on coming here for breakfast so I can try the Explorers temptation.

I felt that the service could have been a little better. The donuts were definitely great and everyone enjoyed them. Since elkhart opened its store, I will definitely try them out.

As we all know by now, Rise'n Roll is incredible! They have coffee. And creamer. But this area lack's a COFFEE HOUSE! Such as the excellent Main Street Roasters in Nappanee. Why not combine the two and make two exceptional "must haves" in one location?!?

Their signature donut is to die for. There's a nice selection of baked goods, sauces, and so on to buy from the small shop. Dining area needs some TLC - it's a bit boring - but this is a place to stop. The Chore Boy's Joy, a sausage roll slathered in sausage gravy, is to die for. For bakery goods there's no better place on town, and you can get everything you can imagine here. There's a reason good bosses cater morning meetings with Rise 'n Roll.
