As a treat for finishing the school year, I took my two young kids to Rise Espresso & Dough Co. for the first time on Friday, June 13, 2025. We arrived during a huge rush so we stood in a long line (which is actually a good sign). We finally got to the front and ordered three donuts?one for each of us. My 8-year-old and 5-year-old each got a Reese?s bar and I got myself an apple fritter. The fritter is baked in an extra large size and I lucked out by getting the last one. Amazing gluten free treats! Rise is my go to for specialty pastries for friends and family with dietary restrictions. I especially appreciate how they accept orders up to the day before pickup, while other bakeries require at least 48 hours of notice. I can?t recommend their gluten free banana chocolate chip muffins enough. You can?t even tell they are gluten free. The staff is always extremely friendly and accommodating as well.

I haven't tried their food yet but in regards to their coffee. With the helpful information the lady gave me .. I ordered my coffee and it's was great. On my way out I heard about the dairy free options... And let me tell you what I think it's going to be my first stop on my payday lol.

OMGoodness, I have lived in this area for decades and never have stopped in here before. This donut shop is the BEST! Staff is attentive, kind and patient. The donuts are AMAZING! So many to choose from. My favorite was the peanut butter and jelly! Wow. We will definitely be back next time we indulge in a donut craving!

Well I am ruined for life. This was my first time here and This place just ruined donuts for me everywhere else. They might be the best donuts in the state. The chocolate isn't super sweet, but just the right amount of sweet. Like Amanda who was working this morning. They are not cheap at all, but so worth it. You will not regret the price, the calories or dealing with all the stupid round-a-bouts to get there.

This is one of the best donut locations. If you want something fresh and yummy! They sell out of the best ones quickly, so come in early! I've loved this donut/coffee shop for many years now and will keep coming back. ?? ??

I only wish I had taken a photo before I ate it but it was seriously the most AMAZING gluten free cinnamon roll, and I pretty much worried for the next two hours whether it really was gluten free, it was that good! (Happy to report that I had no unpleasant celiac symptoms to follow). Owners are exceptional people. Well worth the drive from Idaho for future indulgences ??

A MUST STOP!! The shop is bright, clean, and very inviting! My husband and I asked for two ?yummy? drinks, as a dealer?s choice, and wow, they did NOT disappoint!! I asked Dani to pick two of her favorite donuts for me to try. I ended up with an apple fritter & blueberry donut. My husband ordered the maple bar. All items were AH- MAZING!! This place not only has the greatest name? the doughnuts and coffees are so delicious!!! I had the maple bar and apple fritter? so so good!!! My friend had the gluten free dairy free ones and said they were so good!!! The owner is super kind!!

Kind of a hidden gem, tucked next to a gas station? but so great! The fact they fry the donuts in beef tallow is automatically miles ahead, way less guilt for the treat! Super friendly as well.

Great coffee experience! I was greeted outside and again upon entering by a different employee. So many tasty options. I picked the pumpkin harvest latte and a maple bismark filled with buttercream. Our Saturday morning go to place. Fresh donuts, best coffee, sweetest staff AND GLUTEN FREE donuts and cinnamon rolls!!! So happy this place is here. Even if they sell out of a specific kind there are still endless choices to pick from for my kids. I never get donuts anymore with GF/DF restrictions so this place makes me so happy! Scrumdiddlyumptious used to be so good, and these donuts are PRETTY bad. They?re super heavy, the icing doesn?t go to the edge on top, and the flavor just isn?t there. Leaves a weird film in your mouth. Plus the barista kept questioning our choices when we were trying to order drinks.

Donuts were super fluffy and tasted amazing, they were large servings too and nicely priced for the 6 we got. They didn't have much variety left when I was there but it was an hour before closing on a Monday, so I'm sure if we went earlier they'd have more. But we still got donuts we were hoping for so it worked out. Will be going back next time I'm in the area :)

This place is awesome and the staff is super nice! I think I don?t have a higher score because of my own personal taste. The coffee was a little bit too bitter for me (but so is Starbucks). This is an excellent neighborhood coffee house & doughnut shop. Classic coffee drinks and donuts alongside allergy friendly selections as well! The energy is low key, relaxed, and simple. The pastries are excellent and the coffee is good.

My husband?s favorite donut place. I finally tried them this morning and they didn?t disappoint! Everyone was so friendly and really got my morning off to a great start. The owner even gave me tips on how to send the donuts to my husband overseas! Huge portions too.

We really enjoy these donuts and the friendly service! My favorites are the blueberry fritters, cinnamon rolls w/ buttercream & peanuts on top, and the old fashioned donuts. My husband?s favorite is the Bavarian cream. They also offer good sized pup cups; our dog loves them!

This is the first time we had tried this place. Their donuts are delicious!!! We arrived close to 10am on a Sunday and they were sold out of most of their stuff however, we got the apple and blueberry fritters, a maple bar, and an old fashioned. My family and I stopped by passing through. Picked up a half dozen donuts and so glad we did. The apple and lemon fritters were delicious! I came in this morning for the first time. I was curious about the protein coffee. However, I was informed all their coffee is absolutely delicious. I tried a white chocolate mocha, got an old fashioned doughnut with maple and chocolate drizzled on top, and an apple fritter for my husband. Cost was pretty good, like 12$. The coffee is wonderful, the old fashioned doughnut is absolutely amazing. I recommend this place. I inhaled the doughnut.

Honestly, the latte was good and the donuts were good but there is nothing exciting about this place and service was really slow considering it was not at all busy. But be prepared for only three basic donuts; chocolate covered, sugar covered, or glazed. And none of the donuts are labeled, so they all just pretty much look the same with different shapes. Amazing find! They have fresh gluten free options that are very delicious. If they can make doughnuts, cinnamon rolls, and cookies taste so good I can only imagine what the normal ones taste like.

Without doubt, the best doughnuts in Spokane! So fresh and delicious, with a great selection. Service is wonderful as well. Erin is the best! Though I live a bit further away and there are doughnut shops closer to my home, I'll gladly make a longer drive for these delectable treats.

Been going here for 9 yrs. Loved the doughnuts. Usually drive thru for me. I walked in to terrible service from lady at till. No greeting, just looked at me. I paid for 3 doughnuts including tip. Only words spoken from her was how i put my card in reader incorrect. No thank you for coming in, etc. Lost my business. In this day and age, service goes a long way. P.S. So this morning was my first time coming to Rise. First and foremost when I pulled up the smile from Tasha and her wonderful attitude was awesome. The coffee!!! AMAZING! The donuts scrumptious. We got a few gluten free and dairy free treats for Valentines Day and were DELIGHTED! The espresso chocolate scone and the donut were both amazing. We can't wait to go back. They have plenty of seating and are a great spot to stop with your family for a treat!

An adorable bakery with delicious products! I ordered some vegan maple bars and original glaze and they were amazing! We couldn?t even tell the difference. My nana is recently lactose intolerant and was so sad to not have any goodies for Christmas. These donuts made for the perfect treat! The gluten free options are INCREDIBLE. The chai maybe earl grey (?) cake was to die for. The texture is perfect even 2 days later and traveling cross country with it. My car had a flat in -2 degree weather, and I was thankful for this place where I could enjoy a cup of amazing coffee while waiting to be rescued. I live just down the road from this place. I honestly cannot find words to describe how much I love this place. The ladies behind the counter are always nice, even when they seem flustered about being a little bit busier than usual. I really love the fact they went out of the way to get almond milk for me so I can more enjoy the awesome coffee and donut. May I recommend a Medium White Chocolate Raspberry mocha with almond milk at a low temp with a Boston cream filled Donut? Love this place, love the smiles

There?s two things I?m extremely picky about - my coffee and the donuts I?ll be enjoying with it. This place excels at both! The donuts are large, fluffy and perfectly iced/glazed. The coffee is strong, but not overly bitter and the owner definitely knows how to make a specialty drink. Next time I am in Spokane I will make sure this is on my list to visit again. I grew up with Scrupms donuts, these are not the same, very disappointed. Very little flavor, tough and dry. I used to say these were the best. Now, I can't recommend at all. And very overpriced.

Donuts are good coffee is not. The donuts are giant which is great and we decided to snag a coffee while there. It was too bitter for my taste, my husband likes bitter coffee but didn't like his either. Gave it another try thinking maybe it was a fluke, unfortunately I wasn't a fan again. They seemed like they were roasted a bit too long.

Do not get the gluten free options if you are allergic/celiac. They should be advertised as gluten friendly, definitely made me sick. Other than that food was good, prices are reasonable and service was decent

There are a lot of reviews complaining about donuts being gone early and all I have to say is ... ?Of course they are gone early! They are fabulous!? Get there early and remember that legit donut shops close when they sell out!

every dang day when i drive to work i have to physically distract myself so i do not go here and purchase a gluten free cinnamon roll. a couple of these cinnamon rolls would easily be my death row meal. gf donuts are mid but the cinnamon rolls are god tier.

We tried one of the signature pastries: donut meets cinnamon roll with buttercream and peanuts. Very sweet but good. The girl scout cookie latte was not oversweet with generous whipped cream on top per request. Would go back.

I just finished the last of my donuts that I picked up yesterday. They were still pretty fresh and tasty. They were delicious the first day, and I bet they are super good if I could only get myself out of bed to get there shortly after they open. Ha ha. I have tried many donut shops in town and this will be my go to donut shop. Not only are the pastries good the staff is very friendly. It?s a smallish place with a nice neighborly atmosphere. Try them if you are in the east valley.

The donuts are tasty, but over-priced. Standard offerings like maple bars or chocolate bars are easily a dollar more than they should be. Other donut shops at least justify higher prices with either bigger donuts or non-standard offerings. *Update 9/7 response to owner - We were there on 7/24 with an order of (1) maple bar, (1) apple fritter, (1) chocolate bar, (1) chocolate filled, (2) chocolate cakes.

Didn't find anything special about these donuts. Came early in the morning so I could try them fresh. Mine didn't seem fresh more like they were laying overnight. Too expensive for 1 donut that pretty much taste exactly like a store bought donut some store donuts taste even better & are like $1.

Found this great spot just down from the Spokane KOA when we stopped for gas, and happy we did! Delicious gluten-free donuts and sweet rolls and wonderful espresso drinks with dairy-free options. So tasty!! ????
