Food 5* - The donuts are ABSOLUTELY delicious. Nice and airy, not too sweet, melt in your mouth. The VERY BEST donuts that I've EVER had in my life! Service 3* - NOT really friendly and extremely limited with conversation - maybe one or two words and NOT ONE SMILE. Atmosphere 2* - Quaint, the atmosphere needs to be more WELCOMING and upgraded to encourage ALL patrons to come.

The donuts are just Ok. I prefer other donuts in the Hampton Roads over Ringo?s. I was not a fan of the 15 political signs in front of their store during the elections. I have not been there since I?ve seen all their political signs.

My wife and I did a hike at Windsor Castle Park, and we felt entitled to a doughnut. We heard this place had great doughnuts, so we swung in. I had a frosted cakey doughnut. Amazing. Most doughnut shops frost glazed doughnuts; it's really hard to find cake doughnuts that are frosted in the Hampton Roads area. I've been here multiple times and the staff is always very friendly. Lots of delicious donuts to choose from but get there early before they sell out for the day.

If your tired of Dunkin?, Krispy Kreme, and even Duck Donuts (too cakey), come here. Its definitely worth the trip. I shared with the people at my job and they love them. Presentation wise, they look amazingly handmade. Taste wise, not too sugary, not too cakey. If there was an attempt at making the perfect donut, Ringos definitely comes close.

These are some of the best donuts I?ve ever had. They?re small and not overly sweet and light. Perfect for dipping in coffee.

The doughnuts were a delicious treat. It was fresh, tasty, moist and soft. So far, these doughnuts were the best ones we?ve tasted and eaten. In my opinion, it currently beats all the chain doughnut shops. I don?t normally like Red Velvet, but the Red Velvet Cake Doughnut was excellent. The staff is nice, friendly and helpful.

Wonderfully friendly place! I can't eat donuts (gluten sensitivity) but my family said these are easily more delicious than Dunkin. Husband got me a cute mug, so I didn't walk away empty handed after all! Will definitely be back!

Donuts are great! Customer service was poor, the woman was being rude to us when we picked out our donuts and making us and others uncomfortable. It was our first (and last) time going so we were browsing the options. Won?t be returning or recommending to anyone.

What a fantastic shop! Different flavors all the time with a few of the same classic flavors you always want. Fresh every time I've gone in. Pricing is on point with what you get for your money. If you see the Boston Cream Pie flavor on your visit, it is by far the BEST Boston Cream Pie doughnut I have EVER had. I cannot recommend this place enough. Support a great local business run by locals in the community!

Only giving it a 3 overall. Been there several times. The donuts they have are great. Service is great. However I keep seeing pictures of this big selection. I've been there several times from 6 to 7 and all they have is the same couple of varieties of cake donuts. Cases should be full when you open. I'll wait for glazed or just drive to Emily's.

Ringos has the best donuts I?ve ever had. Better than any chain. Better than any other independent store, and I?ve lived in much larger cities and sampled all the options. Kurt has real pride in his work, everything he makes is delicious. Nancy is friendly and helpful, always a pleasure to talk to.

We finally got our donut fix!!! On our third attempt we finally made it during open hours and they hadn?t sold out of donuts ??. It definitely was worth it. We haven?t been able to find a real good donut shop in Virginia? until now! They are open until they sell out of all their yummy donuts. We thought the donuts were great - especially the apple donut. Everything was fresh and clean, and the owner / worker was friendly and personable. We just moved nearby and are happy to have this shop just down the road!

Absolutely wonderful! I never get here early so I'm sure I'm missing some great donuts that sell out early, but I've always enjoyed what I've gotten. Most of the donuts here are of the cake variety. I normally would rather have the yeast variety, but these are great. The cake is not too heavy and therefore I like it! If you like custard filled, they have one you should try. It's my husband's favorite!

We have been coming to Smithfield for years and Ringo Donuts are always either closed or out of donuts, out of donuts mean they are worth it. Who doesn't love a good doughnut and the place has the best. Provided you get waited on. I have stopped by there several times on my way to work over the past few weeks. The lady at the counter is always talking to whoever is seating at the table to the left. Friendly, I get it. But when you continue to carry on a personal conversation and don't even acknowledge a customer who comes in, that's bad customer service period.

This place offered a variety of cake donuts ?? with different toppings and airy glazed with filling outside the donut. Sugar balance was on point; however, the oil used to fry donuts did not taste fresh. Will try again to make sure I'm not having a bad taste bud day ??

This is THE BEST donuts shop ever! When you get a dozen the heft of the box is noticable, WHY? Because, they clearly add LOVE to the donuts. We drive quite a distance to get them. If you need to do the same, call before you go, the disappointment of missing them will ruin your whole day. If you want donuts go, GO! GO FREQUENTLY!

Hands down amazing fresh doughnuts!! They have two kinds traditional and cake doughnuts from all different flavors. Original glazed will forever be my favorite.....but you won't regret the squealer.

Best donuts in Virginia Ringo's donuts are baked fresh on site. They are lighter and have more and better flavor than the donuts you might find at the big chains. I think the best are the cinnamon and chocolate dipped in chocolate. My wife likes the sticky buns. To be honest there isn?t a bad donut sold at this store. Make sure to get there early on weekends. They close when the run out of donuts and this can happen on a busy day.

Ringos is my new favorite!! The hot crossed buns for Easter are the best I have ever had. I plan on returning for more to share with family. I hope to visit more often. Also the cake donuts were not greasy. They were so much better compared to some competitors in the area such as duck donuts.

Love the texture and flavors of the donuts. Personally, I hate cakey donuts (too dense) and this shop makes more bready textured donuts, which I LOVE. The dough was fluffy, airy and light. Most importantly the flavors are on point, donuts are not greasy. Nothing is overly sweetened. Will absolutely be a returning customer. If you haven't try this place I highly recommend?

Staff was rude when trying to order donuts, and was rushing us to order. Only had a limited selections of donuts. Had a bad taste to the donuts. Was not worth the 18 for a box of donuts.

Our son had his first doughnut here at Ringos. To say he enjoyed it, is an understatement! The people in this establishment are rays of literal sunshine and so sweet! First trip there and i was not disappointed! I've never had an orange juice donut, can't say that anymore! We tried 4 different kinds and loved them all.

Absolutely love this place. It gas fresh donuts everyday and to me aee the best ones I have ever had! And the prices are amazing and has wonderful customer service as well. Also has a sitting area if you want to eat in. Really can't think of anything negative at all.

Ringo?s donuts are my families favorite donuts. Nancy gives amazing customer service, and she always greets us with a welcoming smile. We also like to support this place because it?s owned by a VMI alumni, the school where our sons attend. We live 45 minutes away from Smithfield, but it?s so worth the drive. Our favorite donuts are chocolate glazed and honey buns, so yummy!!!

Unfortuately walked away with a dissapointing customer service experience. There was a misunderstanding that a customer had left the front door open after entering the shop (there were small children coming in behind her). The staff member went on to complain to another customer about leaving the door open, and would hardly engage or even make eye contact thereafter when ordering / asking questions. Seemed like an overreaction for what seems to be a busy store, with lots of people coming and going.

We're so lucky to have these delicious, freshly-made doughnuts available in Smithfield. They make both cake and raised doughnuts and my new favorite is their "moonbeam"...a raised doughnut that has a chocolate icing along with a vanilla cream topping that is heavenly. Of course their honeybuns remain a family favorite as well. Definitely worth the trip!

We LOVE this place! They are good when they first make them. But to me, they are even better 12, 24 hours later. Nuked in a microwave. I don't know how it's possible but these donuts are amazing. These Donuts are always fresh! They have many varieties of cake doughnuts that aren't over iced. I also make seasonal favorites that you can only get for a limited time. If you get there early enough you are able to watch them make the doughnuts through the glass. To get the best choice, get there early before they're all gone!

The lady was rude and had an attitude with me when I?m trying to pick out my donuts. Some of the donuts taste burnt and like a funny taste. I definitely didn?t care for the donuts and won?t be coming back.

My wife brought me home a Maple and bacon Donut from this place last year and I have been craving one since it was by far one of the best tasting Donuts I've ever had so we stopped in here on our way to someplace else and I bought six some and gave a couple to my co-workers they loved it as well.

This is the best donut shop in the Carrollton/Smithfield area. I had a red velvet donut and it was just great. Highly recommend! Get there early for the best selection (before 9am).
