The only thing good about Richards Donuts ?? is actually the Donuts ?? Which is actually ?? the point right? Well one would like to feel welcomed when spending $26 for a dozen. Yes you read ?? that correctly, that Dozen Donuts ?? you see in the pics, cost me a hard earned $26, far cry from the days of $7 to $8 a bakers dozen. A great selection of fantastic pastries. Greated by the sweetest woman ever (handful of doughnut holes). Went kinda crazy and was quite surprised by how reasonable the prices were. Goin back soon. Fantastic.

I had two maple bars and they were one of the best that I have ever eaten. To my surprise there were a couple of donut holes thrown into the bag. The only negative experience was that they are still so afraid of getting sick that they still have all the plastic barriers up and it was a little bit hard to communicate with them. What has happened to our favorite donut place of all times? So disappointing! Our family has been enjoying treats here for as long as I can remember! Great place for donuts. Several flavors and kids love them. Staff is very friendly and I loved that they were very patient with my small grandkids ordering their different donuts. Only cash or zelle is accepted. Not credit cards. It is only for eating donuts. There isn?t a sitting area.

Bring cash! I am a very picky donut connoisseur and Richards is in my top 3 favorite donuts to consume (and the only one in Bend). The best pastries they make are their classic donuts, they are so fluffy and fresh, you won?t be disappointed. Their chocolate cream filled is incredible!! Fresh donuts are great, nice people, and great selection. Think of them as the farmers market donut stand in a run down strip mall, nice mom and pop operation - however prices are very high (mixed dozen literally set me back $28) and they do not acept credit or debit cards, only cash or venmo.

Went in to grab 1 donut for breakfast and walked out with a whole box the variety was great and the girl behind the counter was very nice she explained what certain items were with a smile on her face and Imo the best fonuts I've found in Bend, absolutely fresh and delicious. I will be back in.

Id have to agree with the majority on apple fritters. They should be soft and pillowy with bits of apple swirled with cinammon instead of flat and greasy with little apple.make them smaller but thicker. Do it for a week and see what kind of feedback you get. Put a small sign up."rate our new apple fritters". I bet you'll be surprised!!

We came to pick up some donuts for Fat Tuesday 5 mins before they are closing thinking that the doughnuts will be not as fresh like in the morning but oh my goodness ?? we took all different flavors and all were delicious and fresh ?? it was so nice surprise to see the young man put some extra mini donuts too! Yum yum yum. Walked over from the rv park during our stay. This place is amazing. You can?t go wrong here. I have not had doughnut this good in maybe ever. I would say this is a must if you stop into bend. Make sure you have cash!!! No cards accepted.

The fritter was pretty mediocre. I had high expectations based on the great reviews. It was over baked and very thin. Not enough apple or cinnamon. Cash, Venmo or check only.

Doughnuts are good but it's cash only. They do this to save money on card processing but ironically, they probably lose way more money from all the people who leave after seeing the sign. Making your customers pay a larger ATM fee to avoid paying a much smaller processing fee is ridiculous. They also don't have any music playing and the employees seem miserable.

This is my favorite doughnut place in Bend. 4 stars because cash only, and the parking. It was recommended to me by Mr. Bill Hedger, and when I'm in Bend this is where I go and recommend.

Best donuts I've ever had!!!

I used to get donuts here often but will never go back again. The donuts are OK and pretty much what you would get at a donut place from the 1980s. Some of the donuts leave a sort of waxy/chemically film in your mouth. I believe it is some of the glazes, perhaps the clear one. The older woman that is there regularly is fine but her daughter is obnoxious and vindictive. The donuts are great, but they won't accept credit cards or ATM cards. Required me to use an ATM in the store which of course cost me a service fee. I usually need donuts for a work event and buy several dozen and charge everything on credit cards so I can easily track my spending each year. Not accepting credit cards, or even an ATM card, is really bad and I won't be coming back.

These are the best donuts I have had in a long time. They are super fresh as well and more were being made as we bought ours. Wish I had gotten pictures, but they were gone too soon. The apple fritter was lightly crispy on the edges and soft in the middle with lots of apple...just as it should be. Reports from others in my group are that theirs were super yummy as well. Definitely want to remember this place for next time.

The best donuts in Bend, if not the world. Huge selection of different types of donuts (yeast, cake, French cruller, twists and fritters) and every one (well, I've tried most) perfectly executed. Friendly staff, patient while deciding. Fortunately for my waistline, but not my tastebuds, I live far away and only get here on visits to Bend, but it is the first place I go after seeing family.

Best donuts in Bend and a local institution. Been coming here since they first opened over 25 years ago and were the only true coffee serving, sit down Donut Shop in town. The ownership has changed but the donuts are still light and chewy with a nice light crisp fried crust and never too oily. It's not the hipster or fancy donut stop but it's the place I love taking my family to.

Who doesn't love Richard's donuts...I love thier flat crisper than crisp apple fritters.... Much better than a fritter filled with puffed air! The buttermilk bars are my favorite.... So yummy....crispy crust and a well flavored beautiful tender crumb. My favorite for donuts in the area for sure!!

We are staying at the RV park next door and when we saw the reviews for this place the night before my husband set an alarm for 4:30 so we could get donuts. I am not a fan of sweets usually, but these are the most lovely donuts. They only take cash, but people complaining about that are ridiculous. I'm sure that has a lot to do with why they are able to keep prices more affordable. I love this place.

This place is filled with super yummy treats. It is very hard to choose what you would like. My husband and I ended up ordering three different donuts and splitting them. Everyone of them were delicious. And I think the maple bar was the best I have ever had and my hubby agreed. The freshes, light baked delight of maple goodness. I definitely want to go back next time we are in the area! I would be dangerous to my health if I lived close by this place.

The apple fritters are the best in town in the best in Central Oregon probably the best in the world. Really they have the best Donuts and they're a good price too. The people there work tirelessly to give us fresh donuts everyday. I'd like to thank them and send them an air hug of positive energy and sugar.

So glad we stopped here on a whim! It looks unassuming on the outside but such fantastic and fluffy donuts, and the donut holes are like little clouds of heaven. The ladies there were also incredibly nice and very easy to chat with, and both Mai and Kham (sorry if I butchered the spelling) were just absolute sweethearts to my wife and I. Very clean and accessible too, the only downside is that we don't live nearby!

AMAZING!! The staff is so friendly and helpful, and the donut selection was incredible even a half hour before close! We got a blueberry cake, apple fritter, and chocolate glazed buttermilk bar. Went to buy a dozen donuts this morning, told them the exact donuts that I wanted, so I thought and trusted them to get my order right so I left and when I got home to eat and enjoy my donuts I opened up the box and found that all that I told them was not there, no apple fritters, and missing 3 more donuts when I ordered a dozen I got 9. Do these people listen and do they not know how to count! WTH!! Ruined my desire for a donut this morning.

If you love donuts and you haven't been to Richard's you are missing one of the best parts about Bend. Their donuts are deliciously fluffy, so much that you can eat even two without feeling sick or guilty. Richard's has been a tradition for my family and, in my opinion, is by far the best donut in town. Their cream-filled have quite a reputation, but I haven't had a donut or donut hole there that I haven't thoroughly enjoyed. Don't miss out on one of Bend's best breakfast pleasures.

I really like donuts. Lately however, it send as though not so much until I found Richard 's. Turns out to many donut friers are leaving me with too much grease which is why I didn't like them. Richard's however, are light and not greasy. We even ate one we had leftover the next day and it was still good.

I Asked if I could get a donut off the cooling rack. Ended up with two bars, one chocolate, one maple in a side ways bag. The topping was so warm that I let it cool as I drove for a bit so that it would not run. Lots of fun. Next time I'll look in the cases but warm donuts are the best.

The donuts here are only good after theyre made. If you wait 10 minutes, they lose much of what made them good. The dough is plain and has little flavor other than the icing. They taste hollow when bitten into instead of fluffy. Alos cash only is a little strange. I probably will not be coming back.

Grabbed a coffee and my son a donut this morning. The woman behind the counter was super sweet and patient and even threw in a couple extra donut holes for my son without us knowing. This was my first time in and what a great first impression it made! We will definitely be back.

Always have a great doughnut here, and never a bad experience. Staff has always treated me nice and been polite. Shop is always clean. This is the only place i go in town. They only except cash, shop there's that, but it's well worth the small inconvenience for their amazing doughnuts.

These are easily the best donuts in town, if not all of Oregon. Richard's is a local staple. Other donuts are taboo and it should stay that way. If you are from out of town, reading reviews, give this place a try. Their apple fritters and cinnamon twists are absolutely massive and taste amazing! I have been to Voodoo Donuts in Portland multiple times and they are incredibly over-hyped. What Voodoo does in gimmicks, Richard's makes up for in quality and care put in to each of their donuts.

Richards donuts has always been the best place to get donuts in bend. A community staple too. If you bring donuts anywhere the first question someone will ask is "are they from richards?" Better bring cash though that's all they accept.
