My husband began going to Richard's as a single guy, then started bringing me, and now he takes ours kids. The owners are always so sweet to chat with. And I think they get quite a kick watching kids eyes light up at all the sweet treats. You'll find a lot of classic donut flavors here! Just be sure to get in early, they sell out fast. Family friendly, hometown feel.
The donuts are delicious! My favorites are the jelly donuts. They're always fresh and the owners are super nice and friendly. You have to go early because lots of people come here and they run out of stuff. Way better than Krispy Kreme!!
Richard's Donuts has been around for years. Great service from the owner, Crystal. Very welcoming. Her husband makes the donuts fresh daily. My favorite is the homemade scones. I highly recommend you stop on in and give it a try. You won't regret it. Also, they have a couple of old timers who sit inside and drink their coffee and chat it up with the customers. Hometown feel.
My favorite donut place in Sacramento. If you're an early riser, go get some fresh donuts between 4-6am when it's still warm. The best! Owner and staff are very friendly and provides great and fast service. If you want a big order, make sure you call to order the day before.

These doughnuts are the absolute worst, totally full of oil from being fried too cool I guess. Hate to write is review because the staff is super friendly. Absolutely wouldn't suggest these doughnuts. People bring these into my work often and it's not a one time occurrence is everytime.
My absolute favorite donut shop. I love their #4 breakfast sandwich. Get extra jalapeno if that's your thing. You won't regret it. Only down side is, if your like me and go in at 4:45am, chocolate bars are not ready ! ?? But aside from that, they have great donuts

I live in Mobile, Alabama and I was visiting my family in Sacramento California, and I was looking for some good doughnuts and found Rich's Donuts. There were people inside seated and enjoying themselves rather early that morning, and after tasting the apple fritters, Donuts and eclairs, I understood why ! To sum it up, after my son-in-law tasted these goodies he asked me how did I find this place which was close to his home but he didn't know about it? 5 Stars ??!
My family and I have been going to Richard's donuts for years now. They've never been anything but kind to us. Their donuts are delicious and their croissant sandwiches...yum! ?? A little advice, you have to go before 10:30, otherwise you will find yourself disappointed since they sell out FAST.
Honestly I didn't know what to expect walking in. I was pleasently surprised by the friendliness of the staff, the other guests, and the tastiness of the donuts themselves. The staff had my order of 2 dozen donuts boxed up in less than 2 minutes and I was back out the door within a total of 3 minutes. I couldn't have asked for a better visit. I'll be back soon for sure!
