Customer Reviews

Beautiful area with great restaurants and shops. I can spend the entire day in this Village.

Beautiful place to walk around on Good Friday. Enjoyed Reynolda Gardens and ate lunch at the Village Tavern.

Fabulous for brunch and high end shopping. Also favorite spot for lovely walk in 125 acre park. In particular in the Spring it is beautiful with thousands of daffodils in bloom. There is also a greenhouse and gardens designed by landscape architect Thomas Sears. Reynolda has a home to tour and option to join as member which gives access to museum with interesting, ever changing art. Being an Org Design expert, love the fact that the Katharine Reynolds, original owner 125 yrs ago, was an early caring employ

We went to the Village Tavern, it was horrible. We specifically asked for inside seating because we don't want bugs annoying us while we eat, we'll, once our food came, so did the flies. I spent more time waving them off than eating. Had we had the chance to eat, the sashimi tuna would have been good, and the calamari also, but I would not recommend this location unless you enjoy sharing your food with insects.

We felt very unwelcome by the staff upon arrival. We had a party of 16 on Mother?s Day and received a bit of attitude from the host who seated us. The food was exceptional and our waitress was very attentive.

Was there to set up a wedding for a lovely couple! The staff was very friendly & helpful. After the set-up I went walking & driving around. There was so much to look at. All the different types of plants & flowers were absolutely gorgeous! I never knew it was as big as it is. I highly recommend checking it out! It's one of the best venues I've been to. If you're getting married you must check it out. If you love nature. It is a must see!

Other than parking, I love Reynolda Village! The original Village Tavern, the only one I frequent! My eye care is A Proper View. They are outstanding! Highly recommended!

It's such a lovely place to hang out on a weekend day . Shops, dining, and casual eats, including a teahouse . The nature and walks are amazing. Some stores are over 100 years old . Quite pricey though...

This is a great place to visit even if you don?t plan to visit Reynolda House. There are a number of great shops to visit. Grab some dumplings at May Way. Yum! The Village Fabric Shop is my happy place! Before you leave, be sure to grab a doughnut and coffee at Dough-Joe?s! The parking is spread out throughout the village and there is a great opportunity to walk around the village as well as the trails. We go often!

Nice quaint area to shop. If you're not into shopping, very nice place to walk and enjoy walking trails as well. If you're hungry while you're there, stop by Penny Path for a crepe!! Sweet or savory they have it all and never disappoint!!!

Reynolda Village is a charming place. Great for people watching, and a fantastic opportunity to patronize local merchants. Most or all of the shops are family owned and operated, and they generally know their clients; often by name. If you?re an out of town visitor, take time to visit the Reynolda House as part of your Reynolda Village experience!

This was my first-ever visit to Winston-Salem. I didn?t get to explore the whole area, but I?ll definitely be back next time I?m in North Carolina for another business trip. Such a lovely town!

Reynolda Village enchants with its lush, historic ambiance. Nestled among restored early?20th?century estate buildings once part of the R.J.?Reynolds family farm, it resembles a quaint English village infused with Southern character. The architectural heritage, landscaped paths, and thoughtful layout make it a peaceful and picturesque destination.

Awesome place. The donut shop is the best! Village shops are pricey but neat stuff. The gardens pretty too

This is one of my best places to walk my dog. I have a pitbull and he is not aggressive nor bark at anyone while we are walking but people tend to be very afraid of my dog bcs he looks very intimidating but not at this place, this crowd of people are different very friendly and dog owners. My dog and I love this place ??

One of our favorite spots to leisurely walk around, visit the shops, or go on a walk. Just beautiful!

We love going to Village Tavern. Such a beautiful brunch spot! We go here all the time and we always sit outside on the patio. The staff is amazing and always very careful about my food allergies. Food and ingredients are always so fresh and of the highest quality

Went to Silo Bistro and Bar prior to taking the nice nature walk into the Wake Forest Campus. Silo was great. Good food and drinks, great music and efficient and friendly staff. This village was a great first stop before walking into the campus. Beautiful short trail. No way to miss the campus. I definitely suggest parking here, relaxing for a minute with a snack and drink then walking into the campus.

Love going to Village Tavern. We sat outside & enjoyed the day along with great food & service. Not your 'everyday menu'

Really cute place to walk and discover new shops. There is everything from coffee, restaurants, and clothing shops. The trails are also pretty to walk through.

An eclectic mix of shops and restaurants. Had a great time walking around the area.

Beautiful place to walk around and enjoy some quiet. Adjacent to a great walkway and the beautiful Ronaldo gardens. Many of the stores are fairly pricey and not very family accessible, but those that are like the bookstore & coffee shop are fantastic for a family outing.

Penny Path Crepes updated their menu, so as expected prices went up a bit, but so did the taste, quantity, and quality of their crepes! The spinach and artichoke crep e with Canadian bacon was excellent with lots of filling, and the pear crepe was so good with the cinnamon, walnuts ,and whipped cream. If you haven't been there recently, try them again. We were really happy and we visited again.

This is definitely my Wife's and I chill spot in Winston. Everything about this place is simply amazing and picture perfect.

Best restaurant in Winston-Salem!! Lovely staff!!!!!

Super cute, I loved the atmosphere! I went to the bookstore and it was so cute

Had a beautiful serene day with the old lady at Reynolds Village. Good food, great coffee at the cafe, and a beautiful stroll through the botanical gardens. Even the drizzle couldn't ruin the moment.

Cute area to walk. Nice shops and restaurants. Coffee shop was very good.

We walked around early in the morning before most of the shops were open. It was a beautiful area especially the garden. We plan to go back another day later in the day and look around some more.

Not a huge fan of the shops here, but the restaurants are great! Penny Path is always good for a small group, although lacking in typical drink options. Village Tavern has great portion and drink options, and the food is consistently high quality. May Way Dumplings takes a little too long to get the food outdue to their super small kitchen. I'd love to see what this place could do with a typical commercial setup because the food is pretty good. Drinks are hit or miss. Dough Joe has never disappointed!

Went to Dough-Joe's Coffee & Doughnuts for a beverage and muffin, both of which were very good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice area to also relax outside and enjoy the scenery and light fall breezes.

I love these shops, so many choices here from food to fabric.

Nice shops and restaurants. The only one I didn't like was May Way Dumplings - overpriced frozen and dry.

Great spot to soak up some of the local flavor. The village tavern is one of my favorites for lunch or dinner. Visitors always love the views and the pretty buildings.

Very fun place to walk through shops and restaurants. Adults and kids will enjoy it here

Great place for a hike, great food, spa was amazing!! A great location to have a good day!!!

Love this place. Great shops and restaurants and a beautiful walking path.

A perfect place to walk, shop, and grab a meal. Beautiful walking paths and unique restaurants. Our family (2 young kids, 2 adults) loves to walk past Reynolda House & Gardens and then grab doughnuts from Dough Joe's. Or grab dinner from May Way Dumplings or Village Tavern.

Beautiful shops and nice walking path. Great shops.

Great little area to walk around and enjoy the day. Lots small shops. Be aware that parking might be a problem and I would highly recommend reservations for the more popular restaurants. The village tavern is nice and there is a coffee shop, a noodle place and a few other restaurants. I think there is some historical significance to the area as well but I didn?t look into that.

Beautiful Place to visit.. they also have shops and restaurants. You can picnic also so bring your walking shoes and a blanket..

Ate lunch at Village Tavern and was very good! Beautiful area with plenty little shoppes to walk around.

Food is good seating limited indoors. A lot of seating inside tents during cold season's. Tents removed through the warmer season's.

Loved the gardens, the house was nice, just disappointed that more bedrooms were not open and decorated. The dumpling restaurant was amazing, don't go on a Sunday not many stores open.

Super swanky... I bought a certificate for my wife with the most helpful and knowledgeable salesman to date, at European Touch!!

We met 2 other couples there who we had not seen in a very long time. We enjoyed walking the street, visiting the cemetery and church. We had coffee at Lot 63 and crepes at Copper Penny. Really enjoyed our time there.

Love the vibe here. Lots of different kinds of shops

Village tavern is so good!! We had the lobster dip and it was so delicious!!! ?? the bread was baked to perfection. The lemon drops were the perfect amount of everything. Sweetness, bitter bite, and the lemon ?? was just enough. O I also put a little blueberry sour straw twist on it!!

Came by on a Sunday with friends while we were in town exploring The Triad. Unfortunately it was a bit of a dud. There wasn't much of a variety of shops/food options and many of them were closed which is unfortunate for a weekend visit. We grabbed dumplings which were good but felt a little random amongst the village lol and then also doughnuts that were kinda underwhelming. We were hoping for a quaint and cute stop to browse around but not necessarily someplace I'd recommend for a tourist stop

Always a nice place to take a walk

The food and drinks were delicious! We really enjoyed our experience there! Can?t wait to go back!

I loved this spot! Great place to walk around, shop, eat, and explore. The gardens were incredible! Dough Joe's had some really great coffee and the restaurants are really good too. The waterfall is beautiful. My only complaint is that everything was spaced out pretty far apart. Other than that, this is the perfect spot to spend an afternoon!

I have yet to encounter a bad experience here. Everyone had been so warm and inviting. The architecture and walking trails are beautiful. Charming location for picturesque dining and fellowship. A true gem!

Excellent food and service in a very pleasant setting, tables indoors and outdoors. A great way to savor our first visit to the adjacent Reynalda House with its fine collection of American art.

Great place to visit. Dough-joes are awesome. Gardens are beautiful. House is amazing. The only negative is the clothing stores are way overpriced. Even the on sale prices are really high. Lucky for me I'm a nature girl and the waterfall, flowers and trees get my full attention.

Reynolda Village is beautiful at night ??

I only visited The Village Tavern (which I have reviewed in a separate post.) I will say this is a very nice looking area... somewhat similar to the Biltmore House village shops.

My first time here. I absolutely LOVE the shops.

This place has been a nice destination for many years. Even when a favorite shop Cafe or office closes, another interesting one pops up and takes its place. Not cookie cutter chains, but interesting businesses. Parking is sometimes challenging, but the effort pays off in the end.

What a lovely place with shops, restaurants, and walking trails.

The path is nice and has some stone, some grass, and some mulch. Plenty of room for dogs to walk and smell. Also attracted to go walk Wake Forest which gives a lot more options for distance and variability. Waste bags and garbage cans throughout

As always a fantastically lovely time sitting outside patio ! Our lovely, charming waitress Ashlynn is fantastic! She genuinely enjoys her job & makes one feel positively relaxed when u dine here! All the staff are great as well!

Love love LOVE Reynolda Village... Beautiful walking trails for dogs and their humans, restaurants, shops and then history!!

I have adored Reynolda Village & Reynolda Gardens since our family moved to the area in 1990. And it's only gotten better! Beautiful outdoor setting with walkways that wind through the beautiful landscape. Plenty of trees for shade, lovely trails to walk down and gardens to meander through. And if that wasn't enough there are some terrific shops and restaurants! Something for everyone and every price point.

Cozy but elegant place. Nice restaurant & cafes!

My daughter an I love the shops and area restaurants!

Love this place. Always get a great meal. The outside seating is great especially when the weather is fine

I can't believe I have lived in NC over 35 years and NEVER been! What a great place to visit! It's like the jewel of eastern (kind of) NC like Biltmore....the history you can see and feel, the house tour and thinking about living back then and the grounds....oh my gosh...the grounds with all the trails OR just plop down and take in all the grand essentials and read a book OR not to mention the wedding venues and did I mention all the beautiful art work in the house! So much fun and so much I didn't even men

I enjoy walking the paths through the Reynolda House gardens. Gardens are in bloom from mid March through late November. The paths cover both open fields as well as wooded areas, and are all relatively easy although not all smooth. The restaurants are varied, from coffee and donuts to a tavern with good food. The shops are mostly upscale. It is a great place to visit for an afternoon, and you can also stroll over to or from the Graylin Estate, which has very nice accommodations

I was there for a retirement celebration. The food was excellent, the waitress was extremely attentive to our table. I will go there again.

Their lunch specials are such a budget friendly price. We've been several times because their food is scrumptious. I especially like their drunken noodle dish and the thai curry. It is a good place to go if you are vegetarian or vegan as well for meat eaters. They are accurate in the time they say for pick-up. I highly recommend dining here.

Parking is bad with poor signage. Beware they are quick to tow if you go some where other than the venue immediately next to parking. Handicap signs are not to code or clearly marked and some have fallen over.

This area is very well kept and seems safe. There was a lot of walkers and joggers. The shops were busy, but not too busy. It?s a great place to spend an afternoon. Lots of variety. Saloons and specialty shops as well as food and drink.

Sunday stroll around the gardens ended up in a small bar and we had a great time. Staff was friendly and drinks cold!

We always enjoy walking the grounds of the Reynolda House Museum and the Shops at Reynolda Village. So many unique places to eat and shop or just walk your pet, Winston loves it! ????

Great find and it was 1/2 off bottles of wine night! Score! We had a wonderful dinner, nice ambiance and waiter was on point. Definitely worth the drive and you can lean a little history about the Villiage!

Very cute place to spend an afternoon. They have plenty of things to keep you entertained. Beautiful gardens, crepes, coffee, and shops! Loved my time there. Really feels like your in Europe.

The Service first of all was excellent... Dinner at Village Tavern atmosphere was relaxed, and classy. They had outdoor seating with great social distancing. The food was really good...filet mignon tacos, black beans and rice. Yummy. Pear Martini sweet but good...the pear was scrumptious!

Dough Joe's is a must try. I tell everyone about their donuts. Melt in your mouth, warm goodness. Coffee is great too, but the donuts are the star here

Penny path cafe. Excellent. Amazing

Discovered Theodore's 2 weeks ago, been there twice already after church. Cozy and great food!

Not a lot of places to sit since students will set up camp and hang out for a while. Overall, cute ambiance, great cake donuts, and good coffee Recommend the strawberry glazed

Wonderful shops and restaurants. Be sure to visit the Reynolds Museum.

Nice area with great walking trail

Over the last several months the care of Reynolda Gardens has grossly gone down hill. There is trash piled up in bodies of water, on hiking trails and on fields. Multiple times now my family has seen turtles stuck in this filth. We have called to let grounds keeping know whenever wildlife has visibly been negatively impacted, but they don't seem bothered. Posting this in hopes they'll clean up for the wildlife!

VILLAGE TAVERN, where do I begin!! What a delightful dinner to end my girls night out!! Food was delicious! The wait staff was amazingly helpful and attentive. The asparagus was soooo tender. I will go back when I am in the area Money WELL spent!!

I would only go back if I wanted to eat at a certain restaurant or shop at a certain store, it wasn't the browsing I thought it would be. Would not recommend if what you want to do is casually wander through stores, there just isn't that much to see and while the shops are high end they don't offer anything that unique. This is specifically regarding the village shops, not the grounds/park area, I would definitely go to the flower garden and house to wander.

Visited the Village Fabric Shop, and Heather, one of the new owners, was the perfect hostess. So helpful & full of energy. Cute shop specializing in modern fabrics and loads of patterns for quilting and sewing adorable totes & children's clothing. Great location, next time I'll be sure to allot time to hit some of the other shops and have lunch.
