Red Donut Shop

Small shop in the downtown area of Lexington, about 40 miles from Charleston. Donuts are freshly made and there?s a wide variety to choose from. Some flavors are seasonal by the way. Oh! And if u want a donut that comes with filling, you can select from four different flavors: personal favorites where vanilla and lemon. They also have specialty coffees. Their vanilla frappe was good as well. The two young ladies that were behind the counter were friendly and knew their donuts!!

These are the best donuts in Lexington. The donut holes are amazing! But don't get a dozen. Get two sixes. Some aren't too good at math, but I'm pretty sure that getting two bags of six for $1.99 each beats the twelve for $4.99 bag. But I digress.... The donuts are soft and fluffy, various topped versions like maple bacon are fabulous, and any filled donut is filled when you order it. The earlier in the day you go, the more choices there are. Now, go.

Lovely local shop of delicious doughnuts. They have a nice twist in that they will fill the doughnut with your choice of filling...custard, vanilla, raspberry and lemon. Custard was my choice and simply yummy. You can't leave without getting an apple or blueberry fritter. There are small chunks of apple which is a lovely change from other fritters I've eaten. Staff was friendly. There are a few tables. Sitting next to the big windows is a must. Stop in. You will enjoy it!

I just moved to Lexington NC. I was looking up things to do and places to visit, food wise and Red Donuts came up. I love the aesthetic of this town and Red Donuts has to be one of the staples because their donuts are amazingly delicious ???? hands down. I never want another donut if it doesn't come from Red. I believe another location in NC opened up but I'm not sure of the location. Anyway, if you're passing through Lexington and want donuts. Definitely visit Red Donuts.

Stopped into RED Donut Shop at the corner of E. Second St and Main in Lexington NC. Donuts in and of themselves are good, but Red Donut has a very light and tasty. They fill the donuts on the spot. The cake donuts are soft and moist and the cinnamon rolls have a nice airy-ness to them. I highly recommend make this a quick stop if you are passing thru the area.

First and foremost I am so proud of my classmate from ECPI College Saro for the success he has had with opening and maintaining the only donut shop in Lexington "Red donut." Honest review here. Went in on a whim for a quick snack with the kiddos. This donut shop is conveniently located directly across the street from Lexington Police Department? so there?s that. We love Red Donuts and go there frequently for sweet treats. This time we were looking for something special for our Gender Reveal party with family. Doughnuts seemed like the perfect treat to make a pink and blue display. Red Donuts was willing to help and wanted to make sure that they did just what we wanted - offering various combinations, colors, fillings, pick up time, etc. We would definitely recommend Red for a quick snack and for your more special requests!

I don't have much of a sweet tooth, but I will say I've been converted! These donuts are by far the best tasting donuts I've ever had hands down! From the quality, the airyness, soft chewy bite with the well balanced sugary taste is by far the best in its kind! Dunkin, Krispy Kreme and Duck donuts donuts don't even come close.

I used to be just a Krispy Kreme gal. No more. These are the best doughnuts I?ve ever had. I can?t eat everybody?s doughnuts. But these are so light and airy with amazing flavor. The fritters are the best. I just tried a bear claw today and annihilated it while driving down the highway. If you?re not on a diet, please go and inhale one of these pastries. You will not be disappointed!

Nice touch that donuts are filled as purchased. Keeps them from getting soggy and allows one to choose the filling of preference. The young lady working on Saturday late afternoon (7/27/24) was very pleasant and presented the business well. Wish I had caught her name. I got two chocolate frosted long Johnson with vanilla filling... one for dessert and one for breakfast the next morning. Thankfully, I don't live nearby or these treats would become far too regular!

Donuts were absolutely delicious. More pricey than KK. The girl working was awsome. Clientele was a bit snooty perdy people too snooty to say hi or good morning back to you. Definitely not my place. I'll stick to KK. At least the customers aren't assholes there. Good luck

Since I am a donut aficionado I can say I really enjoyed their donuts. Very light and loved the filling options. Worth the 30 minute ride. Don't miss the bear claw!

LOVE their donuts! Their maple bacon donuts are the best! Had some fresh and they were SO GOOD! I prefer this place over Krispy Kreme! You can also choose any filling for your donut and they fill it in front of you!

Oh my goodness this donut shop is worth the hype! They sell some cake or old fashioned-style donuts, but their specialty is the yeast donuts. They sell some yeast donuts with glaze or frosting, but I personally think their stand out is the jelly donuts! You can select a powdered sugar donut or glazed donut, and pick raspberry, strawberry, lemon, custard, chocolate, or vanilla jams or creams to fill the donut while you watch. My mom and I went in on a Saturday around 4pm. Although we only saw donuts in the display case, we were not disappointed. We bought a dozen of random donuts and were very impressed. The freshness of the donuts were top notch. They were still soft and fresh the next day. The girls working were super sweet and patient with us. My mom left her drink on the counter and one of them ran out the door to bring it to us. Will definitely go again!

First time here. The doughnuts were really good. The issue I have is the price, $16.99 for a dozen doughnuts. Just be careful because they have hidden pricing, they don't tell you until you are paying for your doughnuts. I would recommend you give them a try.

Today I witnessed them allowing a 15 year old brat to love herself in front of not only an older lady treating her young grandchildren but a young woman taking her clients on an outing. Second time here and great service both times. We're happy with the selection and the store is very clean. Their apple fritters and bear claws are so yummy. Went here today for the first time and I can't wait to come back. The donuts are super fresh and delicious. The best part is that they fill the donuts fresh right in front of you. There are about 6 or 7 filling choices. A very original idea that gives you a fresh filled donut that actually has a bunch of filling. They also have cake donuts and other pastries. My first time trying Red Donuts. I never got a chance to be in Lexington when they were open so today was the day I got a half dozen. I got 2 Bismarck?s, 2 Long John?s, a classic glazed and a fritter. I loved that I got to choose what filling to put in my Bismarck?s! When I got home with them and opened the box I could smell how fresh they were. My friends all agreed they were delish, fresh, just sweet enough and plan on getting another half dozen in the future.

This is not my first purchase. When this place first opened, they had some of the best doughnuts around and at an appropriate price. Yesterday, we stopped by for the first time in over a year and grabbed their special. Over 25 bucks for what endeded up being bland and glazed bread. Cinnamon rolls didn't have any taste until a faint whiff of flavor in the middle. Apple fritters didn't have any apple in 2. Just fritters I guess? The others were just what they had due to limited selection and lack of options.

The glaze donuts are delicious and always fresh. The ice cream is very good, however they don?t carry lids for there containers which I found a bit odd. We tried the flavored donuts, the Red velvet & Oreo(chocolate one) donuts and they lacked flavor. The prices are reasonable and customer service is decent.,

This place is excellent! I have been here several times recently and the quality and freshness of the donuts is exceptional. I especially like the filled donuts that are filled right in front of you as you order! The blueberry fritters are also a unique item. I love donuts and this place does not disappoint! Good donuts. We tried a few different things. The red velvet cake donuts were a little sweet combined with the frosting. The donuts did have a bit of a greasy taste to me, but they were good. The blueberry fritter was the best. Crispy outside, soft inside and lost of blueberry. The filled donuts are filled to order so they don't get soggy and you can choose your glaze and filling combo.

My family took me here for dessert on Mother?s Day! Fabulous little gem in the heart of Winston-Salem. The freshest, lightest donuts, and they will even fill your donut with your choice of filling! Staff is friendly, the coffee is fantastic! We will be sure to visit here again!

Got the custard filled and the cream filled and they were the BOMB! Cute little shop that also serves a decent cup of coffee (regular only), some Boba teas and a cooler of assorted bottled drinks. I grew up in beautiful Southern California, where donut shops are abundant. So when I heard there is donut shop in Lexington I had to make it my mission to try it. I was not disappointed. Paid $20 for 6 donuts that were stale and falling:crumbling apart.. was not as good as it usually is I guess since it was a Monday instead our usual weekend outings.. but yuck

Liked the injection of flavor into the doughnuts, gave them a fresh kick. Really, you can choose a flavor to be injected into your doughnut. Kids got a kick out of that, could be marketed a bit better. Store was clean and service friendly, atmosphere could be improved upon. No pics this time, sorry, ate them right away.

I was let in on a best kept secret in Lexington when visiting friends who own the Back-Yard Retreat Garden and gift shop on main street. They told me about a donut shop right up the street from them, I was shocked I have been going to Lexington for years and never knew this. They have delicious donuts, I ordered an apple fritter and a large coffee. Paid about $4.00 and a few cents which I thought was a little high but they through in a blueberry donut that was a pleasant surprise. The lady who owns it is Asian I think but her English was very clear so no communication problems. It took about 15 minutes to get through the line and there were only three orders ahead of me. Best place in Lexington to get donuts, and always fresh with a great selection. If you are looking for a Boba Tea place however I wouldn't recommend going here. The Tapioca Pearls taste like they have been overcooked and soaked in water as they are pretty flavorless.
