What I like about this place that the donuts are made from scratch by the owners. There are no chemicals or preservatives in the donuts. I like to support small businesses. These owners are very nice people and appreciate their regulars.
Our family has eaten donuts every Sunday since March 2020. It's been a routine and something we look forward to. Our favorite local shops are Donutopilos and Sesame Donuts. On Father's Day, my wife said she was referred to RB Donuts, as one of her coworkers said RB was much better than both. As I opened the box, initially, I was not impressed. We have been coming to this donut store for almost a decade as a family and absolutely love it. Owned and operated by a very kind family, they go out of their way to connect with their customers. We know the father, mother, and son and love going here for both the donuts and to say hi to the family.

The donuts here are exceptionally good and fresh. I have gone often enough that the owner will automatically say what I want because I usually get the same thing and he memorizes the regulars. It's just a little hole-in-the-wall but it is good donuts and the owner is totally friendly. If you live in the Rancho Bernardo it's up by the 7-Eleven on Bernardo Center drive.

Donuts are very greasy and the oil needs to be changed as they all taste the same. Was overcharged for items I didn't even want. There were flies in the case. I will not go back.
First, the owner is a very decent guy and I hope they take my constructive criticism. Please consider a small selection of donuts that are fresh and cooked properly. I refuse to eat there anymore because I always get a belly ache.I don't know if it's the dough or what but something isn't right.
This is a small shoppe owned by a ma and pop (trying to make their bills on time). Go show your appreciation. They sell a wonderful product at a price that's probably too low to sustain. The donuts are awesome, fresh, and soft/fluffy/delicious. The French crullers are addicting. I went to Voodoo donuts in Portland which are touted as best in the nation. This is better, just without the marketing.
The coconut donut was great! Lots of their donuts taste very similar to each other. The donuts are so soft that they fall apart easily.
My family and I have been coming here for years. The doughnuts are always fresh and very delicious! There are so many varieties to choose from. Highly recommend the apple fritters and raised doughnuts, but you can't go wrong with anything. The owners are so sweet. This family owned establishment is a staple in the community.
The other reviews are right. One of the best parts about this place is the customer service. They do have quite a wide variety of donuts that is sure to please, whether you're looking for crispy, fluffy or dense. The coffee is also pretty good. It is a little difficult to find in the shopping area but it is worth the trouble. Recommended!
Excellent doughnuts, but even better service. I went there this weekend with my two boys (2 & 4yrs) and they loved their choices. The owner's son Jaime, was extremely good with the kids and even helped us out when my son dropped his doughnut on the floor before even taking a bite! I can tell that he truly cares about this place and that he puts his heart and soul into it's success. Best apple fritters. Soft, sweet and still good the next day. I drive all the way to Rancho Bernardo from Escondido/San Marco's because I can't find a donut shop up in my area that knows how to make an apple fritter. This place doesn't overcook their fritters!
RB Donut is a great place to make your favorite after exercise destination (yoga, Pilates, boxing, jogging, and even you Peletons, though I prefer riding my bike there) you deserve the finest doughnuts made in America's finest city. I?m sorry but the donuts here are horrible :/ Overpriced and greasy. I?ve went to this shop on a 2-3 occasions thinking each time I went maybe just a bad batch, but no overall rating is -1. Best donut shop is Donut Stop in Mira Mesa.
Stopped in today because it is Fat Tuesday & I was looking for decadence . I found it here! I got three donuts 2 butterscotch bars & one fancy colorful cake w sprinkles to share with my friend . We enjoyed them very much .

I would like to say these are average donuts, but I was disappointed by it. They're not terrible, they are just pretty oily, slightly too crispy on the bottom, minimal glazing, not the freshest tasting. Cheap price tho.
