Before I leave for Dallas I decide to stop at this little shop that specializes in donuts. I get 4: 1 chocolate, 1 caramel, 1 chocolate with hazelnuts and 1 with chocolate and a mixture of corn flakes and fuffetti. The donuts are well filled and nicely decorated. The dough is a cross between a classic donut and a doughnut. Yummy, maybe a thoughtful thread, but yummy nonetheless. Loved their jumbo kolaches and efficient and friendly service. The kolaches were served warm fresh out of the oven. What made them stand out was the fact that the bread was slightly crusty/flakey and the hotdog was larger than usual, making for a more balanced bread-to-meat ratio. I?ve had fancier juicer sausages, which probably taste great on their own, in kolaches but for $2.80, the Queen Donut ones are a winner!

I've been getting donuts and other breakfast items here for years and never misses staff is very kind and let you take your time and don't rush you when you're trying to make a decision on what to get. Came to try the maple bacon. Would give a 4 It was good but was missing something. Maybe the bacon wasn't crispy enough. But was not bad. Cheese sausage croissant was good but little soggy. Jalape?o cheese sausage kolaches had the best flavor but too much bread to stuff ratio for me. The apple fritter was probably the best as far as flavor. Big selection and open 7 days a week. Friendly staff. If you are in the area go but not worth traveling for.

I've been eating their kolaches since I was a kid. I always get the jalape?o and cheese. I prefer donuts from Shipley's. Their donut holes are the best though.

This place makes me so happy ? I go almost every Sunday and my pup loves riding with me every time. I have a sweet tooth only for donuts, and of all the donut shops in town (I have tried almost all of them), I their glaze is the best. The cinnamon sugar twist is out of this world good. They have amazing prices, good hot breakfast items / kolaches, and a pretty on point selection of cold drinks including sodas, Red Bull, even strawberry milk. I tried the kaloche for the first time so my review is strictly based on that. I did not like it. There was waaaay to much bread and what's being called a sausage on the kaloche eas more of a hotdog. The service wasn't great but it wasn't bad either buuuut this was a first and last for me.

UPDATE: Things have improved since my last visit last year. It looks like new ownership again. But I recently visited on Saturday Feb 8, 2025 and the donuts were as delicious as my prior visits there over the past 10 years. They changed the recipe to be like the original. This place is a staple of the community and a local favorite. They do get busy but the wait is never too long. Everything on the menu is delicious, and everyone needs to have the meat donut! Is a donut stuffed with eight sausage bacon or ham, with egg and cheese inside!

Delicious donuts and kolaches! The dough they use for the kolaches has just a tiny hint of sweetness which is extra delicious with the savory filling! This place is no where near my home, but worth the drive! There's extra parking in the back. Line might be out the door, but don't let that deter you, it moves quickly.

Those kolaches are damn good. The boudin and the cheese jalape?o in particular. I come from The Woodlands for those. Well worth the trip. It's located across a gym and the bayou trail so you can treat yourself and work it off. I shall return!!!

Went on a little excursion today to sample some donuts - had the simple glazed, maple bacon and a sausage cheese kolache. Didn't really care for the raised n glazed or the kolache but the maple bacon was tasty! Service was friendly and fast!

I was very impressed with Queen Donut. I purchased three breakfast items, all were quite good. The prices are very reasonable. The service was quick and friendly. This place is definitely a cut above the other donut shops.

Very kind staff. He was funny when I asked where the name of the shop came from and we joked about missing the King in the name. The staff seem happy to work there, like they enjoy their jobs. I'll definitely return when I'm in town. I ordered cinnamon buns and sprinkled donuts. I'll get them heated up next time so they are warm.

I love the apple fritters from queen donut. Probably the best apple fritter in the heights now that hugs and donuts closed. The kolaches are also tasty and come in more variety of flavors and sizes than many other spots. Support a local business and come try out queen donuts one day

I tried Queen Donuts for my first time. We went early Sunday. The display case was full and there were plenty of smiling servers. The spicy boudin was very tasty. Cinnamon rolls were fresh from the oven and about as tasty as can be. Mrs Donuts on Memorial is the best in town that I have found, and Queen may tie them for the top spot - I will need to return a few more times to decide!

Queen Donut Shop makes the best donuts in Houston. The boudain jalapeno kolaches, meat donuts and maple bacon donuts take the cake.

Born and raised in Houston and have always loved Shipleys. I went to one about a week ago, got 2 donuts and 1 kolache, just sausage and cheese. Cheese was runny, poor quality sausage and stale bread. They have THE BEST sausage cheese kolaches in Texas. I love that it?s not overwhelmed with bread like other places. The sausage piece is huge and delicious. Anytime you go there, even late in the morning, the donuts are warm and fresh! The staff are super friendly as well and it?s a clean joint.

BEST donuts in Houston (or really anywhere). Kolaches are amazing. The kolaches are made with sweet bread so if you don't like that...what's wrong with you. Service is excellent and the family that runs the shop work harder than anyone. Other trendier donut shops in the area charge 2-3x what these guys charge... go support a small business!

I can't believe I haven't been here before! The first time I came across Queen Donut was on the busy Easter weekend were I had to take a selection of donuts and kolaches over to a Sunday brunch. Where as people were queuing up like made everywhere else, here everything was so orderly and smooth. I have gone here for over 15 years and until recently it had been amazing. But, the owners are no longer at the location daily or they have sold and and the food quality and service have gone down hill.

The line isn't out of the door for no reason! This morning hit spot is a locals favorite. The family owned business makes you feel more than welcome in their establishment. It's enough energy in the visit you feel motivated before even taking a sip of your coffee.

Hidden gem! Infinitely better than Dunkin, everything was FRESH and FLUFFY, maybe the fluffiest donut I ever ate! I took 4 extraordinary sausage jalapeno rolls to go with me back to Dallas. Even tomorrow they will probably be better than what's near my house. Idk they were okay average at best. I had old fashion, glazed, sausageKolache. Not real sausage it?s that hot dog inside a ton of bread. Can never find the Chappell hill type sausage anymore. I think Shipley is still way better at least they serve warm donuts if you go early. I went here at 830. Not warm so idk basic if u ask me

A millennia ago, baking donuts was my first job out of college. In my 3 month career, I sampled the product, quality control and all. I learned that a raised donut more than 3 hours from the fat changes texture and mouth feel. I try to stop for them in the morning before 10. I happened on Queen donuts for the first time as I drove by at lunch time. HOLY CRAP this place has the best doughnuts I have ever had. My wife had the kolaches and after her first bite she proclaimed it as fresh and the best kolache she ever had. As this is a family owned doughnut shop they only have the one location. In a way that makes me sad, but the upside being I won't gain 20 lbs.

The jumbo jalape?o sausage are my favorite kolaches anywhere. Pastry is so soft and there's the perfect combination of subtle sweet to compliment the succulent meat. Service is second to none. Even when there's a line you can be in and out in a few mins.

For those of you that like the more cakey donut (hence Dunkin, or Shipleys) you will be disappointed. However, if you like the more moist melt in your mouth type of donut (think Krispy Kreme) then this is your place. The staff is amazing. In and out in less than one minute. The selection is wonderful- donuts, kolaches, muffins, cinnamon rolls, and even old fashioned donuts. They taste fresh! Not old. The icing on the donuts is to die for delicious. Donuts were excellent. At least as good as Shipley?s? better even, depending which Shipley?s you compare to. Kolaches were so-so. Service was fast. I took off a star for the Kolaches and the $5 min credit card charge.
