I can go on and on about the items they provide in this black owned family business. I will first say the donuts are outstanding. The popcorn I don't even know where to get started on that. and the nachos are delicious as well. Oh lets not forget the shaved ice that is literally just like snow. Outstanding customer service just overall great and kid friendly , best part everything is sold all year round as well you know I had to ask. :) If I cant physically come to the shop I will be placing an order online

Poppin dough is literally popping! When I tell you the doughnuts are so fresh and delicious, delightful all wrapped into a little cake doughnut. My husband is picky about doughnuts and hands down he is already placing an order for the next time and we just left?? Omg this place is amazing!!!! Not to mention it?s black owned!!!. Customer service to me is everything. I walked through the door and Richard greeted me saying he will be right with me. That?s how it should be. He can tell I never been there Before. He let Me know everything they sell and he allowed me to try some free samples. Get this EVERYTHING IS HANDMADE!!! This establishment is small and looks a little rundown but it has great service and if you like cake donuts opposed to yeast donuts this is a great place for you. The donuts taste amazing, especially for me the chocolate ones. They do offer various sizes on popcorn, they do offer shaved ice made to order as well as nachos made to order. Overall I say what they do for the neighborhood and for their customers is great and the value is still good even though inflation / bidenomics has hit the economy.

The Caramel and cheese popcorn is So DELICIOUS, I enjoyed the donuts and customer service too. I will definitely be back.

We went for the first time the other day. Donuts were great. Carmel was the best everyone said. The guy working gave us a sample of the munchins and popcorn ( which we ended up buying a large bag). Everything was really tasty. We will be back on our next cheat day. Very helpful and friendly

The popcorn is delicious 3 flavors in the medium and the shaved ice....OMG! And they make their own flavors! Yyyaaasss! Worth the visit!

Visited today from out of town. Usually closed by the time I come to visit. I saw the reviews online and couldn?t help but see it firsthand. The shaved ice is a dream literally snow that melts in your mouth. For the first time I had a shaved ice that wasn?t too sweet it was perfect!I enjoyed a wine cooler and coconut flavor combo. I was here when they first opened. I'd come and grab a donut before I went to my work study for school. They were always really nice and they have delicious donuts. Very personable and kind people. You can tell they care about their business and I'm so glad they're still here even through COVID when so many other businesses didn't survive. I hope they can become a franchise some day and provide this type of quality to other communities.

Beyond friendly. Delicious yeast and cake donuts. Shaved ice that does NOT skimp on the syrup. Definitely going back for their popcorn. Was offered free samples, told our shaved ice included two flavors and the woman making it asked if we wanted it piled high, knowing my 5 year old probably couldn't handle it. Really great experience all the way around.

Tried the Chicago mix at an event in Humboldt Park, it is soooo delicious!!! Idk how they put so much cheese on the cheese popcorn! They're not skimping! I've never eaten popcorn this fast before and I'm so excited to see sour dill flavor on the site, so I'll be in next week to get some ??

I was at a basketball tournament last weekend in Atlanta. My daughter purchased the popcorn and we instantly fell in love. I?ve been staying in this neighborhood for the past 3 years and my family and friends have been coming here weekly to satisfy the crave, so many flavors or popcorn and shaved ice. The doughnuts are great also. I love the hospitality and yes THEY ARE BLACK OWNED.

Delicious. First tried them the donuts are fresh and delicious. I like cake donuts and theirs are very good especially the Carmel and Carmel donut holes. They were out of the Carmel cake donut one day so the owner told me about the donut holes, he worned me to buy the last few he had and after I tasted them when I left I was sorry I didn't listen. Great place to try, haven't tried the shaved ice yet but heard the flavors are delicious as well.

All the other times I have been here I have had a good experience. But recently on 06/19/2020..I walk in automatically everything seems out of control..which was understandable because of the busy holiday. I have my order taken...had to repeat it over 3 times. I slowly get pieces of my order last thing I was waiting on was my popcorn. One of the workers call out the popcorn which was a cheese and Carmel. So I grab it because I thought it was mine but then realized someone ahead of me had that same popcorn.

I walked in to be greeted warmly and the experience got better from there. The young ladies were very nice. While the popcorn was my favorite, my little one enjoyed popcorn & doughnuts. Shaved ice was great too.

I just can't get enough of the caramel cake donuts... they are my favorite. The shaved ice are very addictive because you can choose from so many flavors and the flavors are delicious and very different from any other place I've been to. I love Poppin Dough.

All ima say is.. they popcorn is way better than Garretts bro! I ran pass this place by mistake this morning and stopped in, seen it was black owned was a Plus for me, got a vanilla caramel and a strawberry donut and some cheddar and Carmel popcorn and mannnn that shi was sooo GOOD I?ll deftly be a regular now. 100% recommended.

They have the best popcorn. They have many flavors and good customer service. But the best compliment I can give them is that their popcorn taste like Garrett's used to taste.

These donuts are so good. The cinnamon rolls is amazing. My son got the snow cone and he really enjoyed it. They also sell popcorn. I will be trying that next. I love this place ??????.

Donuts are always fresh, perfectly sized, and delicious. I grew up on slushies, icees but never shaved ice. Which of itself, is great. I recommend for anyone looking for an afternoon snack.

Although their Cheesy Carmel is the best hands down, I was surprised by the additional upcharge fee for just getting that flavor alone. I mean why would I mix Cheesy Carmel with another flavor? Please post the additional upcharge fee in writing.

Good options but I waited 20 minutes for a shaved ice but they were really nice!!! Looking for to seeing the Arian special on the menu. She says that strawberry cheesecake and mocha flavor is a hit!!!

Nice home grown business and extremely friendly and helpful owner... Allowed samples of popcorn products. Only suggestion is to look into finding different storage containers for sample popcorn because the samples aren't as fresh as they can be.... Other than that the place was great....

The food was poppin, great customer service. Will definitely come back and recommended. My favorite was cheesy caramel popcorn. The shaved iced was good as well. Good food, good people.

The Apple Fritters are bigger than your head & simply delicious...both crispy & tender! We cut ours into 4ths. They also serve shaved ice with amazing flavor combinations. There's something here for every taste.

To my family, Poppin' Dough is the gold standard of what Black family-owned food business should do. Reinvention (interior remodel), branding, flexibility (cycling products in/out), superior service, owner involvement, quality product (shaved ice), and a well-kept shop (clean lobby). A hidden local gem that more people should try!

I come here every once in awhile to purchase the old fashioned glazed and the chocolate glazed. The donuts are so good I had to limit my time going here, because again they are that good.
