Wow. I was skeptical when I walked in because to be honest the place is a bit run down and behind the counter was quite a mess, and there was a bit of smoke in air from something having been burnt... Anyways! Selection was pretty low, even at 930am on a Tuesday. I got the cinnamon roll and hot damn, it went right into my top 3 favorite donuts list! So light and fluffy and the best part was it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. Perfect amounts of cinnamon and a nice thin glaze... The price was very reasonable, onl

We walked down to try these donuts before heading to the arch for the day. We got there early, and they still had a good selection of donuts. I had a lemon donut, which was really good, and the glaze didn't leave that weird film on your teeth like some other chain restaurant donuts. The cake donuts were also good and soft. Atmosphere was basically just kinda run down inside, bathroom was out of order and they didn't have any almond milk options. So I would suggest going and grabbing some donuts as they are

Good for a fast snack! Enjoy self-made fresh donuts and more! Coffee was OK. No hot chocolate available, but cold one. Not expensive! So recommended! The inside look although could be better. Positive is, that you can watch the bakers make donuts! ??

This little hidden gem in St. Louis is everything you?d want from a local mom-and-pop donut shop. The donuts were incredibly fresh and delicious, paired perfectly with a simple cup of black coffee. The shop has a slightly run-down vibe, and the area might feel a little sketchy, but that?s part of the charm ? it?s authentic, unpretentious, and clearly loved by locals. The service was friendly and the staff are funny. For what you?d expect from a local mom and pop shop, they?re doing awesome, and I love suppo

It?s the only place I?ll trust when it comes to donuts and fritters. It ain't a big claim! Don?t be fooled by the interiors. The place looks messy, I?ve seen smoke around the kitchen area, the staff is busy, but the donuts are every cent worth. We?ve been to several donut locations and always come back to Pharaohs. You just cannot beat their donuts. We?ve had their apple fritters, glazed, cream cheese, cinnamon, and everything in between and each one has been better than the one we previously had. They do

Fantastic HUGE donuts. Came pretty late in the morning as donut shops go but they were making and pulling out fresh donuts. Super cheap, friendly staff. Probably my favorite cinnamon rolls ever now

One of the best donuts I've had in a long time the original glazed melts in your mouth like butter(year after update) they have done a lot of remodeling to the store and still more to come but the doughnuts haven't changed still amazing we spent 35.29 for a dozen of bakers mixed 2 23oz waters(2.09 a piece) and a iced vanilla macchiato(4.50) if you are in the st.louis area I highly recommend you stop in and see them the stuff is supper nice

The staff was so friendly and kind! Not just that but the donuts are amazing definitely in my top 3 donut places I've ever had! The cinnamon roll was so good I split it with 3 people at a convention. We all went to get donuts there the next morning! I had the cinnamon roll, lemon, Bavarian, strawberry filled, and apple fritter and none of them disappointed!

Best donuts on planet earth! My boo bear had the glazed donut that was still warm y'all !! Insane yummy and I had the custard which was so good! Also had the iced chai which was amazing. This is our new go to spot.

Walked by this place on Saturday, went back Sunday morning. I picked up a selection of 6. The glazed donut was hands down the best I?ve ever had! I only wish I had an extra day to go back!

My first time! Best donuts I?ve had?..EVER! Worth the trip. I was in and out. Friendly staff. I read the reviews before going, was hesitant because I don?t like to support places where the service is sketchy. But I assume if it?s crazy packed they are like any other business trying to get customers in and out. The location isn?t ideal, in regards to parking, but don?t let this stop you from going. Maybe go when it?s not the peak breakfast time. I?ll definitely be back. The lemon and cinnamon crumble are my

Stopped by St. Louis downtown corner of Pine and 9th at Pharaohs Bakery, grabbed some donuts, they were delicious!! This young lady was a sweetheart, sorry forgot your name but not your kindness! We were far from our home in NJ but enjoyed this vacation treat. Highly Recommend!

The service left a lot to be desired ? no welcoming greeting, inattentive, and a very unfriendly. It definitely put a damper on the experience. However, the donuts absolutely made up for it! Every donut was fresh, and clearly made with care. If you?re willing to overlook the unwelcoming customer service, the donuts is well worth a visit!

The donuts were soft and delicious, but I gave 3 stars because the prices are extremely high. I tried to buy a dozen variety pack, and it came out to $37 ? that's just too expensive. Unfortunately, I won?t be returning.

genuinely, the most amazing donuts we have ever had. 10/10

In my opinion, these are the best donuts in St. Louis, if not the U.S. Staff is very friendly and personable. The chocolate Long Johns are a favorite. No fake taste here. Everything is fresh and near perfect. My daughters love watching "Chef" make the donuts. Overall, one of St. Louis's 'must visit' locations.

We stopped in to grab an assortment of donuts and I was shocked at the gourmet selection. They have your basic glazed, sprinkles, and cake donuts, but they also make really beautiful donut creations! Like a chocolate donut cut like a sandwich with fresh strawberries and whipped cream in the middle. The staff was super friendly and the donuts were a hit!

Delicious donuts. Got here around 11 am on a Saturday and a lot was already sold out which is bad but for the business it?s great. Still had a good selection. Got the turtle cake donut and some glazed donuts which were still very warm and that made them taste a whole lot better. Turtle cake donut was amazing as well. Staff was very friendly. Interior of the donut shop looked like it?s under construction and the smoke from the hot oil made it uncomfortable to eat inside so I took my donuts to go.

Visiting STL for a wedding and stayed around the corner from this gem. Unassuming from outside. The doughnuts were amazing. A simple glaze done right. A coffee roll, fresh the next day because we couldn't eat day we bought. And the sweet potato doughnut they gave us to taste was beyond. The ladies behind counter were friendly and helpful. Probably best doughnuts I have had, maybe ever.

Yall, this place is amazing! I love donuts and try them in different cities all over the country. This place is good! I was surprised. I could have hung out in there with the two that were working all day, they were amazing!

Every city I travel to I make it a point to check out some of the local donut shops. This place is one of the best. Super friendly staff and the strawberry cheesecake donut? man. If I was walking and dropped this donut into a puddle of god knows what, I would still consider eating it because it was that good.

The donuts here were fantastic! They were some of the best I have had! The service was quick and the staff was very friendly. All this on a busy Sunday morning for them. The overall interior of the establishment: lobby/foyer, entrance, public spaces could definitely use a face lift. We initially thought we were walking into the wrong place. It was a little decrepit and scary looking. Other then that, great presentation on the donuts! We will be back when in the area again. Thanks!

Super nice people and phenomenal donuts. Like some of the best I?ve ever had. The cinnamon roll And cheesecake donut are amazing.

This is hands down home of America's best donuts. The atmosphere is amazing and the customer service is awesome. If I had one complaint its that there are only 12 donuts in a dozen??????

The doughnut was good. Service isn?t. Also the caramel ice coffee i purchased was an iced vanilla chai that i was given in a hot cup that she disappeared and made in the back. I threw it away right when i tasted it.

Quite possibly the best donuts that I have every had. There were a number of reviews making this claim, but I went there with skepticism in my heart. The kids and I got a wide selection to try, and were blown away. The traditional glazed is the keystone of donuts, and Pharaohs knocked it out of the park.

These donuts are amazing! Stopped in to grab a dozen for my work meeting and ate two before I even got to the office ??

Although the donuts are top tier, I will not patronize anymore. I purchased a baker's dozen (13 donuts) with 11 glazed and two specialty donuts. My total was a little over $38. If I purchased only glazed, the total would have been $20. The specialty donuts purchased separately would have been $3 for one and $2 for the other, but since they are in the baker's dozen, it's $15 extra!! After getting clarification, I was told that no matter how many specialty donuts are in the dozen, it will be $38. Therefore, I

Don?t remember how I stumbled upon Pharaoh?s, but these donuts are worth the trip for either location. What you?ll find here are the best textured donuts no matter what kind you enjoy. Grab a dozen with some variety and I promise you won?t be disappointed. The employees are friendly and the prices are extremely fair compared to the superior quality - served with love! Good vibes, awesome donuts!

Very fluffy and sweet donuts. The glazed and apple fritters were amazing. A must try in the area.

There are two locations. One is on 9th Street. The other is located in the Central West End and they both have equally delicious pastries. Pharaoh?s Donuts have a recipe so amazing that they taste the same at 8pm as they do if you purchased them any 8am and you don?t have to microwave them to bring them back to life!!!

I love Pharaoh's Donuts! They have the best glazed yeast Donuts and their apple fritters are fire! Those key lime custard filled Donuts are awesome! So much flavor! Pharaoh's serves some of the best Donuts in St. Louis!

I researched donut shops before going to St. Louis. I chose Pharaoh's Donuts, and I definitely wasn't disappointed! I have to say that they are a must when visiting the city. The apple fritter was perfectly cooked: fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Their award winning glazed donuts are delicious!

Update . Jeannine just told me to wait 30 mins for twist donuts . Then when I go back inside she tell me another 35 mins bc they didn?t make any yet. And so rude about it . But it?s 9/10am, y?all open at 6/7am it?s should have been ready ! SMH. Trying the other location. If it?s no better then I?m done with these place. They rude, unprofessional and unorganized !! Danielle is rude. Customer service is horrible. The donuts are good but not worth all the attitude and frustration of waiting !

Was visiting for Memorial Day weekend for an event at the Ball Park Stadium loved the glazed and twisted glaze that I got. Ate them In less than 5 mins 10/10 probably some of the best donuts I?ve ever eaten in my life 100% would go back and price was super reasonable for quality of the donut

Really good donuts here. I would give 4.5 if I could. I really like the Apple fritters. The Boston cream filled donuts are top tier. The glazed toppers were devoured. If you buy a dozen they throw in a free donut for a ?bakers dozen?. The thing you must experience is how heavy these donuts are. I imagine it is the filling, not sure. They taste delicious! The cinnamon rolls I did not like. They were very ?donuty? for lack of a better term. Additionally they had the doughy texture of being undercooked. I do

Even at 8:30 on a Monday morning, the selection was great. The woman at the counter was patient and helpful, willing to answer questions and offer suggestions. The doughnuts were reasonably priced. There is limited seating, so our family took the doughnuts to go. They were everything you want in a doughnut, light and fluffy inside with a bit of a bite. The frosting was very good, the caramel frosting being a family favorite.

Sunday 1/5/25 between 7am-7:45am I arrived at pharaohs donuts. Customer service here is great every time I go here. However this morning the lady that took my order customer service and attitude wasn?t so pleasant . She ask for my order from the back of the store which I refused to do because I didn?t want to have to yell it out to her. I ask could she separate my donuts with the wax paper because my wife is allergic to chocolate which I ended up doing myself because she didn?t properly do it. I also witnes

I went on a limb on my way to work for one of the snow days we had. There were no avail parking spaces but that?s understandable, it was snow everywhere! When I walked in, no other customer was in there just the workers. The lady asked me what I wanted. I asked could she give me a moment while I got a response from my co worker via text what she wanted (my treat of course). The lady energy was horrible while she told me to let her know when I was ready. When I was ready, she told me to hold on while she box

These donuts are absolutely amazing! ?? Fresh, warm, and made with lots of love! The staff are always so nice and patient when you're selecting your goodies! This new location is absolutely beautiful! It's so open, lights of lighting, and ample amount of seating. You can eat those delicious donuts and watch the hustle and bustle of downtown traffic! ?? Go and check them out you WILL NOT be disappointed!

Good donuts. Some of them are too much for me. As in too much sugar. If that is your thing you have found your place. Some of the more plain donuts were my favorite. Lite and airy. Definitely a hole in the wall place. In fact it looks like you are walking into a closed business its such a hole in the wall.

Excellent donuts! Highly recommend the cinnamon swirl- no pic because it was eaten in 10sec. Lovely staff. Great quality. Currently enjoying my sugar high!

Excellent donuts. Soft and airy with a wide variety of flavors available. Cheesecake, Death by Chocolate, Choclate Custard just to name a few. If you are in downtown it is worth a stop to enjoy the best donuts in St. Louis City.

AMAZING! If this say something, I don?t even like donuts much but once I heard they?re considered the best of MO I had to come try and I will definitely be back!! So good and soft

Went here for the first time this morning and was so happy I did! Service was so welcoming, donuts were delicious, and the coffee was perfect. Definitely found my new donut spot in STL!

This is the BEST kind of donut shop. Small, and off the beaten path. Located in downtown St Louis, if you blink you might walk right by it! But the donuts are some of the very best I have ever had(2nd only too Peterson?s Donuts in Escondido, California) they melt in your mouth. Go get some NOW!!!

Better than any of the modern donut spots. Fluffy and delicious donuts with classic flavors. The owner and every employee is courteous, hard working, and all around great humans. They serve a local craft coffee, Coma, and even have espresso drinks!

No better place to start Opening Day in St Louis than Pharaohs Donuts! ??

Fantastic, welcoming, appreciative service. These donuts taste royal! A grand stop on our vacation. I highly recommend this for both local and tourist parties.

The maple donut was so soft and delicious. The frosting was a bit too sweet for me but it was still good with their coffee. Their cinnamon roll was the best I have had. It was fluffy, melt in your mouth roll. Not dense at all. I highly trying this place! The staff was so helpful and super friendly. I purchased 2 dozen to bring back to Chicago to share with friends!

Stopped by for a quick apple fritter and they delivered. It was a sugary, tasty mess which is what I was looking for. Prices are reasonable and the hours make it usable.

Battle of the Doughnut 3 Saturday morning is a time for sleeping in, watching cartoons and trying out another doughnut shop that an insistent co-worker suggested. Arriving shortly after the shop opened, I watched a man walk out the door with three boxes of doughnuts. I began to wonder, what was going on in the small business located on the corner of N. 7th St. Don?t expect a fancy shop with massive machines and a dressed-up dining area. This is a straight up, real deal when you push through the one working

Stopped in on our way out town. The donuts were amazing and staff was so friendly. Highly recommend!

The donuts were amazing! The best my girlfriend and I have ever had. We were in the area for the eclipse and stopped by St. Louis for a day. We have been talking about making the 4-5 hour drive back again to St. Louis just for this donut shop. The donuts were perfectly fluffy and sweet. The workers were warm and welcoming. They even helped us find things to do in the city!

Here's the deal! These donuts were hot, fresh and absolutely delicious. You would not be cheating yourself If you gave these donuts a try.

Great selection! Tasted fresh

This a very friendly, family-run shop that is exceptional. The quality of dough on their yeast donuts is perfection! They're thick with a fluffy texture that has enough firmness to give an amazing chew. I would encourage any donut lover to come here in the morning to get an always-fresh batch; you will not be disappointed!

Feels like a hole in the wall but don't let looks deceive you, this is THE place for delicious donuts! When I am craving the best I go to Pharaoh's. The glazed is bomb and the apple fritter is a personal favorite. Why not grab some donut holes while you are at it. They also have special ones each time I've gone in. Yum!

Was truly blessed to find this Black owned/family business in downtown St. Louis. The line wasn't long (for a Saturday) the customer service was awesome and the donuts...oh the donuts make you melt in place. I will definitely be back. This place will take all the business from World Fair once the word gets out...oh and they do the Bakers Dozen too...

The donuts were awesome. We got there late in the day and there was still a decent selection and the staff was very kind. The smell of fresh cooked donuts almost knocked me over when I walked in. You could see them making more donuts fresh in the back. Great all around!

Love this place because the donuts are definitely the best in St. Louis. They are moist and fresh every time I order. I share these with my coworkers at least once a year and they're always a hit.

This place is has the BEST donuts in St. Louis! They are FRESH, SOFT, YUMMY, and the staff is so friendly and full of fun jokes! The glaze, I'm not sure what they do different but its perfect! Sorry, Donut Drive in... you were the best until I had these. 2nd best now.

My go to place for lemon donuts that no other place is consistent on making nor even having on their menu. Staff is so nice and the prices are reasonable. This environment reminds me of the donut shops in Chicago and New York. Pharoah Donuts made donuts for the elderly couple who use to own World's Fair Donuts before it closed and went with new owners.

Unassuming entrance is easy to miss. But once you're inside you can see the dough being prepared & fresh sweets coming out of the kitchen. Doughnuts are fluffy & melt in your mouth. Good service from the staff.

Heard enough good things about this place to check it out and it delivered! We got 8 and every one of them was amazing. Will be back tomorrow!

Probably the best donuts I ever had! Although the store doesn?t look very clean but it?s a must try if you are in stl.

I am eating this donut in the park across the street an it is on of the best donuts I?ve ever had!

I?ve heard a lot of good things about this place and maybe I caught them on a bad day but the donut was so greasy it soaked through the bag not much flavor outside of that and couldn?t manage to eat it with the coating of oil it was leaving behind in my mouth

Absolutely delicious. Wide selection, great customer service !

Everything they make is incredible my delicious. My personal favorite was the cookies and cream which had a whipped cream topping. It was a knock out donut and I look forward to the next time I?m in St. Louis. The staff is wonderful and helpful and 12/10 would recommend to everyone.

Walk too quickly, and you'll miss the little door that leads to the best donuts downtown. Try the red velvet glazed, they are amazing! If you're looking for snazzy, this ain't that, but isn't it about the donuts? Yes, it is...

The best donuts in STL city and county! I just drove 30 min to get some before work they're so worth it, always fresh!

Get the Apple Fritter and Chocolate Cake donuts. These two alone are worth a trip to Pharoahs. We tried some other donuts as well that were pretty good. Can't beat the prices either. If you are in the area definitely stop by and try them out.

We ordered 5 donuts for a very reasonable price. The man working behind the counter was very friendly and pleasant. He even went out of his way to make donuts fro us. The donuts tasted fresh and tasted delicious.

The donuts taste great, but it seemed like neither of the girls at the counter wanted to be there or it was an inconvenience for me being in their shop. It?s a shame because the neighborhood looks really run down. Meaning there aren?t many options which is ironic with the arch so close. This shop is really the only good place downtown for a quick breakfast, it?s a shame the employees don?t perform with more integrity knowing their shop is the only one in the area..

BEST DONUT SHOP EVER! ??????? The service was a blast! Had greatest time waiting in line and being helped for great apple fritters, cinnamon rolls and donuts!

Service rude, place run down & dirty. Donuts just okay, they are very greasy. Love to support STL local business and minority businesses but the attitude of service counter employee just turned me off to supporting them and how the kitchen work area looks dirty was another turn off. I?m confused by all the great reviews of this place?.

1st time going and the donuts were so good. The donuts melted in my mouth. My son and niece got the Oreo stuffed and they loved them as well.

This is by far the best apple fritter I?ve ever had. Extremely friendly people running the business as well!

Great donuts! Friendly folks here. Wish I had come when the donuts were freshly made in the morning although still good in early afternoon.

I've heard rave reviews about this place for a long time and finally tried it. I was able to find street parking. One of the streets it's on, including the building it's in, appears to be under construction, and there isn't great signage; however, I'm sure it'll be nice when it's done. I got the fritter and glazed donut. Both were great, but that glazed was by far the best I have ever had and has ruined every donut for me now. I was lucky to get a warm one around 9am. It's a low key place that will exceed

The experience was very disappointing this morning! November 3rd 2024 Came to buy donuts like I do every morning The attendant Asian guy was waiting on a customer in front of me. He took the man's order and walked off and started Mopping the floor. Just left me at the counter. Didn't ask what my order was nothing. Then I asked why can't I be waiting on. It turned into a whole issue.Just sad!!

This morning, when I went to buy my donuts, I encountered a lady named "Sister" who had a very indifferent attitude. It was my first time there, and instead of explaining that she would put my glazed donut in a separate bag, she let me leave without the thirds donut that I had paid for. When I called to inquire about the missing donut, I received a rude response, with the person saying that I could only get the donut if "Sister" was working the next day. My concern is that if I were providing a service and

Thank you for a delicious donut before leaving St Louis. The best (handmade!) Donut I have ever had.

Holy. Moly. These were the most delicious donuts I have ever had in my almost 50 years of life. I simply cannot believe the glory that is Pharoahs Donuts. I had a simple glazed donut, and I almost cried as I bit into it. Lovely.

If I could rate this place 10 stars, I would. Service was friendly and helpful. Donuts were easily some of the best I?ve had in 50+ years and the best in a long time. My wife?s friend used to live in STL and she said the one place we had to make time for was Pharoah?s Donuts and she was right. No photos because I was too busy enjoying the donuts.

Great Downtown Donut Shop! Don?t miss the cinnamon crunch old fashion and old school glazed jelly.

Love this place. Best old fashion glazed I've ever had, and all of the donuts with toppings still managed to be light, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweet. The staff and other customers who came in were all incredibly friendly to me and my kids. My favorite place downtown!
