The donuts are amazing. I was born in Escondido and I remember always having my father bring these donuts home. They have become more expensive. The thing that just didn?t make sense is that they took out the option to pay with cash. The service is awesome but taking out cash is a downgrade.

The donuts are huge. I was not expecting the twist to be as massive as it was. That is by no means a problems it's the opposites it was a very pleasant surprise. What Happened?! If there was a graph of the quality and flavor of Peterson?s Donuts over the last two years it would look like a hockey stick. Their cake donuts now taste like a generic dry donut and the famous Peterson Pillow donut which id supposed to be a cronut style, has been reduced to undercooked layers that is bland and lifeless. If you notice that there isn?t a big line around the block anymore?there is a reason I feel like when a business sells to new ownership, the ratings need to be reset.

They have the most selection I've ever seen in donuts. There's a donut for everybody and anybody that loves donuts. They're not normal sized donuts they are huge donuts could last you a couple settings. And the nice thing is they're open 24 hours Every day of the week. Being a connoisseur of donuts I can tell you right now you definitely need to visit Peterson?s Donuts. They?re open 24 hours a day. We stopped by to get two dozen donuts on your way home at midnight. EVERYONE was so friendly and helpful. The donuts are delicious and they are very generous with the icing as you can see. The three chocolate in the box were mine to eat right away. It was okay, the apple fritter was overcooked and tasted of burnt oil, same with the pillows which were really disappointing. The strawberries on top of this doughnut were not fresh and tasted as if they had been sitting overnight in a fridge. Overall really disappointed. The woman I spoke to on the phone about a refund had a very defensive attitude and I do not recommend this shop. The doughnut bar has much better staff and quality. Heard of Peterson?s for sometime now and finally in the neighborhood. There are so many varieties that one will have to come multiple times to try them all. All the cake donuts we got are moist. My flavor is the strawberry cake. Bring cash. There is a small fee to use the debit card to pay for the donuts. It is great that it opens 24 hours. However, mornings must have more varieties than 3PM. I will have to go back in the morning to get some cream puff and donut holes.

You can just tell these donuts are gonna be good, and they are! The bread is more cooked than usual, so it'll be harder/crispier than Krispy Kreme or Dunkin, but not stale. Food was OK. Big portions, but not as good as expected. They were out of the strawberry cruller and they were out. Ordered the maple bacon pillow (similar to a cronut) and they said they were out. It is definitely nice that this place is open late. They have a large variety of specialty donuts. The hot croissants are delicious. Something to be aware of is that the later you go, the selection does get smaller and run the risk of getting a stale donut.

This place has been a staple in Escondido since the mid-1980s. Reasonably priced, great selection, always fresh and tasty. Their peanut butter cookies are off the charts! It helps that their staff is awesome. Only downside is you might have to wait in line because they are popular.

Fresh inexpensive donuts open 24/7. A cheerful corner stop with a great amount of parking and covered patio. The service was cheerful, patient and knowledgeable.
