The absolute BEST donuts! They?re giant, not overly sweet and have the best chewy texture. I love the original glazed, can?t beat it with a cup of coffee! This was our first time in the shop (we usually get ours to go) and we received great service and loved the overall downtown donut shop vibes. Highly recommend!

We decided to try Paul's this morning for breakfast. My husband and I both got the bagel sandwich. I got a strawberry sprinkle donut and my husband got a raspberry filled. They were absolutely phenomenal. Soft and airy, and the strawberry topping was delicious. The bacon, egg and cheese bagel sandwiches were delicious also! If you're in Burlington and surrounding areas, I highly recommend this place.

I ordered a chocolate cake with chocolate icing. When I arrived to pick it up, it had vanilla icing instead of chocolate. When I asked for it to be redone, the baker told me he didn?t want to trash the vanilla icing and essentially was too lazy to remake my cake so it would be best if I went to a different bakery.

Just stopped in to get some great donuts for my girlfriend and I and had a brief chat with a gentleman working there and this is definitely a location that needs the love and respect of its community! In this day and age The Baker is not held in as high of a position of regard as in days of old and locations like this and delicious treats like these should be cherished. ?????????????. Paul's is amazing!! Everything we've had here is delicious. Great prices and super friendly staff as well. Breakfast sandwiches are great too. Love Paul's and come here every time we visit (though keep in mind they aren't open on Sundays)

I have a friend who no longer drives. Monday she was craving maple bacon donuts but the shops were closed. This morning, after Ash Wednesday service I tried to go to the shop near my house to surprise her but they were closed. I tried to think of where I could get the donuts and I remembered the shop near my mom's neighborhood that my mom talked about. I called up and although they didn't have any made, the manager offered to make some for me. My friend was happily surprised & Paul's has a new customer!

Best donuts in North Carolina- I?m a foodie from Houston, Texas and I?m impressed!! Donuts and cookies are simply delicious !! There are all types of pastries available but I?ve had only those two thus far!! If you find yourself in or near the Burlington area please stop by and see for yourself.

Ordered a giant donut cake for my husband's birthday & Al helped me. He was super helpful and thorough and OMG the donut was so delicious & huge. Not one single complaint. Everyone loved it! Can't wait to go back and try the other desserts!

10:19 am on a Friday and out of doughnuts. No jelly left, clerk said they could make what I asked for, only to return and say they were out of doughnuts. Three glazed left and several chocolate with cream. I wanted to try several jelly filled, one raspberry, one lemon and a blueberry. The clerk didn?t tell me they charged extra for using a debit or credit card. I asked if they took cards, but the four percent fee wasn?t mentioned. I didn?t realize it until going over the receipt. I went to this place because I was curious about coffee. I've been looking for a good coffee place, Starbucks, quality coffee at home fresh beans with a Breville espresso, and other places, but this place is by far the most delicious coffee I've ever had. I tried the crossant too and is ok. I order a double espresso btw.

I love everything in that place! Nice people and very generous. I will definitely return even tho my commute is 25-30 mins. Do recommend 100%

I didn?t expect much from this spot. I was at the parade and freezing and was looking for some hot tea or hot chocolate. I stumbled upon this place and it had a long line. The inside is outdated but the staff were nice and talkative. I ordered hot chocolate and a morning bun and it was absolutely delicious! I was surprised!

Excellent customer service above and beyond. My daughter had the most beautiful birthday cake. Even received birthday wishes from the baker himself!! If you are looking for a beautiful cake, look no further. We will definitely be returning.Thank you for making her day special!

They have bagel breakfast sandwiches that are great and very reasonably priced! Also the sweet and spicy donut holes are next level! You have to try them!

5/2025 update: Still great espresso & bagel/egg breakfast. OMG fantastic donuts! Been here a couple of times and it's always good. The coffee's not my favorite, but the baked goods are excellent. The new apricot donuts are delish. Love this place.

I grew up and lived in Burlington for 33 years, now I live in Greensboro. I always try to make it over to Paul's where in the area. The people are very friendly there and the doughnuts are the very best. You really should go there yourself!

Paul?s is a staple of the graham/burlington community. The donuts are incredible, the cakes are creative and affordable, and surprisingly the coffee and chai is just as good as the pastry. Staff are super friendly and accommodating, and the variety of sweets they have is seriously impressive. We went pretty late on a Saturday morning, and they still had plenty of options to choose from, including breakfast sandwiches. Highly recommend this place!

Paul took extra care to understand what I was looking for. The cake he designed was beautiful and delicious. They delivered right to my daughter at her college Everything was perfect and I would highly recommend Paul?s. .

My husband and I were lucky enough to be in town first thing one weekday morning while traveling from Canada with work. We shared two donuts, and OMG - absolutely mouthwatering!!!! As self-proclaimed foodies, these are a real treat and well worth the visit if you're in the area. From the sounds of it, these donuts sell out very quickly (literally, like hot cakes!), so best to call ahead before making the journey, especially if you can't get there within the first few hours of opening.

What a cute little local shop. The pastries were so good! They need high chairs though for little kids. There weren?t any when we went the other day. I hurt myself falling in the giant potholes in their parking lot so be careful.

Stop by here while in town today and got my children a sprinkled strawberry glazed donut. My daughter said she gives it a million stars. My mom and me loved our strawberry filled donut. Very nice lady.

Amazing donuts. I always love it when my wife brings home a bag with Paul's stamped on it because I know it's premium stuff. Today, I visited them for the first time. Very friendly staff. I had a big order with very specific requests, which is to say that it was a pain for them to do. They handled it very well, quickly, and without complaint. They use the slogan of "best donuts in town," and they absolutely deserve it.

Great place, owner is very kind and answered all the questions I had. The selection was phenomenal! Donuts / cookies / cakes / coffee, it's all there and at great prices. Decent parking lot and lots of sitting room inside. I highly recommend if you're in the area.

First time in today?? A family member recommended it and we were 1 and 1/2 hour drive away. It was well worth the trip. Staff were friendly and helpful and the donuts speak for themselves ?excellent ? . We will definitely stop in again.??

Not only are the pastries delicious, family favorite are the bear claws, but the owners went out of their way to help us out when we left a purse in the store and weren't able to return to Burlington until after hours. They came and met us at the store, 2 hours after they had finished for the day. Great food and Wonderful People.

LOVE this shop! Even before I was pregnant. Have ordered cakes for my children more than I have eaten a sweet treat. The service is impeccable. Clean place, quick, and delicious! Just picked up another one of my daughter's birthday cakes from there, and, while I was waiting, of course got a little snack. The man serving me went above and beyond in accommodating me and my 7.5 month pregnant self. Couldn't ask for a better shop near by in all regards, but, if you're pregnant, seriously..go there...now ;)!

Amazing service and donuts! I was picking what type of donuts I would like with my dozen, and I asked if the big honey bun donut would count as one in the dozen. He said no, they are sold separately. Then, when I checked out, he wrapped one up and gave it to me for free! It was so nice. And the donuts are just delicious! Do yourself a favor and support this cute little shop.

So first time here today. My family loves donuts so we are trying all the local ones since we just moved here. It is a very cute and roomy shop. Plenty of space to enjoy a pastry. The boys had sprinkle donuts. I chose a filled peach donut. If I didn't pick it out, I wouldn't have known it was peach. Very little filling, no oozing at all. The boys of course devoured theirs. The total came to $4.70, and was told they had a $5 minimum for cards. I totally understand why small businesses do this so now you know

Now Paul's has the best donuts, period, but today they'd sold out (that's how good they are!). So I sprang for the cinna-bun and added their signature sweet & spicy coating. I would give this place extra stars if I could!! We went for the first time today and everything was fantastic. The donuts, the cookies, the owners/staff, the atmosphere. Try the spicy donut holes if you like a spicy kick. SO good.

Stopped for a simple coffee. Ended up chatting for a hour. Coffee was great and the counter person was a lot of fun. Had a croissant that was crispy flaky deliciousness. We will go back again the next time I'm in the area.

Great experience! Drive-thru is so convenient for grabbing breakfast on the go! Bagels and donuts were fresh and delicious! Staff is friendly and they even took note of our doggie in the back seat.

Called in today wanting to place an order to go. The lady who answered was short, kept asking me to repeat myself and had so much background noise during the entire call. She ended up getting frustrated after only a few seconds and told someone else to take my order. Then I was told there was no carrot cake by the slice. This did not sit well with me so I ended up not ordering. Please do better with your customer service.

OMG. We've only been in Burlington NC for about 4 months and finally made it to Paul's Pastry shop today and we were blown away. Not only did the donuts, brownies and donut holes just melt in your mouth, the owner was a delight. We will definitely return to see them again.

Love their donuts...they are the best around and have been sense the original owner open the shop. In December 2019 I ordered two pies to take to Christmas Dinners and was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED and embarrassed. Chocolate pie was $15 and Pecan pie was over $17 dollars. $33 Dollars thrown away! Worst chocolate pie EVER...could not eat it. Was made with a graham cracker crust and filled with what tasted like chocolate donut frosting...was so sweet no one could eat it at Christmas. The Pecan pie was pretty...

Picked up a few dozen to take to VA, patient service...hard to choose with so many wonderful choices! We found cheese cookies, gingerbread men, muffins, and bagels. Always fresh and the largest around...freeze them, they are delicious!

Cannot recommend this shop enough! Called with 24 hours notice and they delivered fabulous treats to my son for his birthday! Wonderful customer service and great cupcakes and cookies.

GINORMOUS pastries! Prices aren't half bad either. Make sure to go early if you want one of their HUGE bear claws. They sell out more often than not. They close at 2 PM unless they sell out that days pastries.
