While traveling, any time I see a Mom&Pop donut stop, as we head out for another leg of our RV journey across North America, we check them out. This place is the real deal. Donuts are said to be made fresh daily. Clearly the 2 filled sticks I got this morning weren't made today. The dough was stiff and chewy. The icing was hard. The inner cream filling was liquid around the sides and very cold in the middle. Almost separating from being a solid cream. From experience, these are signs of older donuts, which were either frozen or refrigerated from a previous date. For the price, I definitely did not get what I paid for. Pats donuts is a must try if you are in Lima. All of their donuts are delicious, but there are two specific donuts that I highly recommend. The first is the croissant donut. Dropped by Pats today on a little road trip. Nice donut shop. The lady working this morning was so friendly and funny. A definite asset. Got 2 donuts and she bagged the separately for me. The prices were fair, about average with other donut shops. Will be sure to stop again if I'm going through Lima in the morning.

As one of my hometown favorites....I have to stop and get a "Midwestern" style donut when I'm back from the West Coast. Always good service and good prices. Admittedly, not all of the donuts seemed super fresh on our most recent visit....but still pretty darn good.

The staff were incredibley friendly, the doughnuts are incrediblely amazing and they had such a good variety. They were fresh and they are so amazing. The store was clean and just an amazing experience. I've heard so many good things and finally got inside. They did not disappoint. I highly recommend.

I was visiting Lima OH for the weekend and our son told us about Pat?s Donuts and Kreme. I can?t say it enough but Pat?s has The BEST ??donuts EVER! ??Honestly and truly the most delicious donuts I?ve ever had. You cannot skip this gem ?? of a place and I strongly encourage you to try them. I cannot forget the sweet, kind woman ??that took my order and her coworker (young man) too. Not a place to go back. Service was kind but the look and taste of the goodies sold here were way below average, an expensive low quality snack if you consider the skills needed to decently glaze a donut .Not an enjoyable place to sit and eat.

I want to support small businesses as long as they arent greedy and have good practices. This location REFUSED my US cash(very sad), said boss won't let her accept it. Also told me I had to use my card (which they charge you to use) and I asked to discount the charge since she was making me use my card vs my cash and she said he won't let me do that either. Wow. Been coming to Pats for many years and we got some filled sticks at this location that were half the size of the Elida road one. Still paid full price. After a horrible night in a hotel I could not wait to just finish my drive home. I past this place and decided a little treat and a large coffee was just the thing. I made two U-Turns to stop in, and it was the best decision. The coffee was good and I was grateful that it was a mild brew in a large cup. Over $20 for a dozen basic doughnuts and the customer can't even pick out which doughnuts... Staff was rude when I requested some jelly doughnuts be in the mix and they asked if I was picking out each doughnut or letting them because if I do it, it'll be more expensive. Staff pointed to a sign saying that an "Asstortment" of doughnuts contained the following... Assortment was spelled wrong. Staff said that was probably intentional. Too expensive & lack of professionalism.

Apparently the service and food quality has gone way down as of 08/16/22. The very rude staff cooked our pizza with a flame thrower and called it good to go about 2pm. They said to bring it back, I asked them "why? It was either the only black one that went out or 1 of several the day!" Ide post a pic here but don't wanna turn any stomachs! stopped in for donuts, im 45 and these are seriously the best donuts I've ever had. They had a sign on the door that they were short staffed and to be patient with service. in my opinion, the 3 ladies that were there handled the large crowd that was there did it wonderfully.

I went in this morning to grab some donuts, love them by the way and the employee was so nice. However she handed money with her hand that had a glove on and then handled food with that same hand. It was 1:30 in the afternoon so the donuts weren't obviously fresh. The peanut butter buttercream was not good in my opinion, but I've never had that flavor of buttercream before. Everyone else in the car felt kind of "meh" about their own flavor of donuts except my toddler loved his donut holes. ??

Had never heard of this place. On my way home from a doctor appointment I saw it and turned around. OMG they were delicious! The 2 young girls working were very helpful, nice and courteous! Only downfall was they don't have whole wheat donuts??.

Pats used to be very fresh but the last few times we bought them they are like they are Day old! Grandkids used to ask to get them but not til they will go back to having fresh donuts! Well tried Pats again recently because we have gone there for years and thought things might have gotten back to being fresh. The employees were very nice and waited on us quickly. But Like I said before seemed like they were old or over cooked filled sticks were not soft and kids ate almost half before they got any filling.

Good donuts, but they move way to slow. It takes almost 10 minutes to make a breakfast sandwich. 2 people will be playing around in the back and 1 person working up front with 5 people in line.

My boyfriend and I went there this last weekend and he was bring out the donuts and his shake and hot chocolate and the hot chocolate splashed out of the top of the lid onto arm, he had gotten second dargee burns from it! Now his wrist is just terrible looking and pained. I just wish the lids were better made so liquid didn't easily come out and not so hot even for hot chocolate.

Great experience, but the maple bacon wasn't as good as I thought it would be. The donut mixed with a croissant (Forgot name) was AMAZING! They should have stuffed that with the maple bacon!

Wonderful people great donuts

I ordered a pizza for pick up (of course) and the person told me it would be 35 minutes so I wait to go pick it up and when i go there the guy tells me he dropped my pizza on the floor so of course with only a hour lunch break I couldn't wait for another one. We order quite a bit but I will definitely not consider that again. Extremely frustrated and disappointed.

If you like REAL donuts that are made in-shop and deep fried the old fashioned way....THIS is your jam! The cake donuts have a crisp underside where they've drained on the cooling rack. I have gotten donuts there the donuts weren't fresh I bought them different times the past year so I stopped going. I told my son to not get me anymore so today he brought me one. I gave it one star just to write a review I don't recommend it.

I work nights..after work in the morning i called Pat's and ordered a breakfast pizza...when i got there they said that it was burnt...they offered free coffee drinks...free donuts...free breakfast sandwiches...i asked if i could see the pizza...i like some brown on my cheese..they wouldn't take money for it..so i put the money in their tip jar...a real class act

I used to go here as a kid. We moved away when I was 10. I recently stopped by after about 30 years. The filled sticks were exactly how i remember so good I almost cried.

Always friendly service! The donuts, Fresh and filling. And for me, the donut isn't enough. I always have to buy donut holes!

Nothing in stock yet they take no ownership. They are just too lazy to make the proper amount. Then they put a sign on the door (a poorly spelled sign) to shift blame. Also alienates half of the customers.
