Everything here is beautifully made and everyone is so nice. A little bit of chatter upfront and tables that needed some attn, but all in all! I was thoroughly impressed with the cake I ordered a couple of days in advance. The online ordering process was smooth, and I was able to provide detailed descriptions of my request. Within a day, I received a call to confirm my order and process the payment. The cake itself was wonderfully moist and fluffy, and while I'm not usually a fan of fondant, I really enjoyed theirs. I'm sadly disappointed. I asked for a very simple Top Gun cake. I scheduled a time for pickup and ordered about a week in advance. I got there 15 minutes after the scheduled pickup time (traffic) and after several minutes of waiting, I deduced that it was not ready and it appeared to have been picked up from the floor of the walk-in fridge? I ordered twelve dozen cookies, heart shaped, light purple frosting, white sugar sprinkle, with lettering. I received exactly what I ordered, except I was disappointed in the frosting. Many, many cookies had frosting dripping over the edges and pooling, and other cookies had darker streaks of purple, as if the dye had not been fully incorporated. They were delicious, and we ate them, but for $342 I was expecting a more professional looking cookie.

I didn?t order from here, my boyfriend did for my birthday cake, and I was pleasantly surprised by this cake when I laid eyes on it!! Very beautiful and very delicious!

Ok I will start with the positive. The chocolate cake was very good. Super moist. They layers were thick/tall. I called and ordered a carrot cake for a birthday. They told me it would be ready in the afternoon. Upon arrival to pick up the cake. This place is so good! I ordered my mom's retirement cake for her retirement from the Air Force from here and it turned out awesome. The employees in the bakery were so helpful and got back to me extremely fast. This cake encapsulated everything I wanted to represent her being an Idaho native while being a jet mechanic. I very much dislike leaving a negative review but the quality was so shockingly bad that I think it needs to be said. I ordered 12 sugar cookies and 6 vanilla cupcakes. They advertise having home made buttercream. What I received looked (and tasted) like it was bought from a box grocery store. There are plastic kid rings for decoration on the cupcakes. The lobby is always busy but the staff is very efficient and, although there was a long line when we arrived, we were out of there in less than 10 minutes. Lots of good reviews for Pastry Perfection, however, I stopped in this AM and picked up some old fashioned donuts and they were not good. The donuts tasted of old cooking oil, seriously, the dominant taste was funky grease vs. a great cake or tasty icing. To be clear, I love an old fashioned donut, but not the ones I had today... Pretty bad tasting stuff.

What a fantastic traditional bakery! Their breads and pastries are delicious! Every cake I have had made to order has been tasty and beautiful! There is also a coffee bar inside. This is a great place to stop by and have a treat with a kiddo or catch up with a friend!
