In the world of baked goods, it is nearly impossible to find vegan donuts, especially good ones. The quality and artisanship of the donuts here are unmatched and well worth the price. They have great flavors too, not just the standards. Almond joy, triple chocolate, and strawberry chocolate did not disappoint, we will have to check back in for the others!
This is one of, or if not the best donut shop i?ve ever been to. The service is good, and the inside is clean, and cozy. The food itself is incredible, as there are 40+ types of doughnuts they have. Each and every one is good. Personally I recommend cookies and cream if they have it, if you like sweets. If you don?t like sweet stuff, I recommend getting the original glazed, or homer donut. Coffee is also good! Lastly, the service is good too!
They always seem to be out of most of their donuts by 11:15am, which is over an hour before they close. They make a delicious donut but on several visits they are always out by the time I get there. If it were just once in a while occurrence that would be fine but this happens all the time. Please make more donuts to last until you actually close for the day.
I absolutely adore this donut shop! The variety of unique flavors is simply outstanding, and every single donut looks utterly irresistible. Personally, I'm a huge fan of their Yeast Doughnuts; they strike the perfect balance, not too dense like the cake ones. Plus, having coffee and Matcha available is always a delightful bonus. The Girl Scouts Samoas special was a definite highlight for me, but I couldn't resist trying the Orange Pistachio as well, and it was pure bliss. Highly recommend stopping by for a
Last seven times I dropped by to get donuts, they were closed. Maybe they?re still good, but I haven?t been able to get anything there for years. When they used to run their food truck out front, around 2020, they were usually sold out of most of their menu but what they had was good!
I?ve been stopping by the donut truck on U of I campus a lot recently. They usually have a vegan option (chances are higher earlier in the day before it sells out), and two weeks ago there were even three vegan ones at the truck! I wish there were less of the chocolate donut base though, I think they do the vanilla donut base much better. All the vegan ones I?ve tried have been a cake donut.
Their donuts remain unmatched compared to all other places in the area. Always sold out of the best ones by about 10/11 am, so make sure to come early. Would definitely recommend to anyone trying out a donut place in Champaign!
Pandemonium has some definite hits with their recipes! They are very sweet. I think the Saigon cinnamon and sugar definitely has a better flavor than your typical one. I think my absolute favorite was the chocolate banana cake. I could eat those every day. Definitely worth checking out.
I'm a huge doughnut and pastry fan so when I'm out of town for work I always dona search for bakery's in the area. Pandemonium came up wow! Amazing assortment of doughnuts! They had some traditional varieties but it's the specialties that made me stop. I had a Nutella shortbread raised doughnut and a double blueberry. Both were amazing. The Nutella shortbread really hit the mark though. Perfect doughnut and amazing flavor with a little bit of crunch from the crushed short bread cookie topping. They also hav
Best donuts by far. I moved from Champaign a few years ago and there has solidly been a Pandamonium shaped hole in my heart. Recently visited and stopped every day I could, you can't beat their donuts and iced coffee. No where in Seattle can come close.
EDIT 2: Forgot to add the star I mentioned, lol. Fixing that. EDIT: Awarding a late bonus star! Went back to this place pretty recently and they've definitely expanded their options for the vegan donuts! There were 3 options the day that I went including an excellent thin mint chocolate donut. Literally the first time in years that I've walked out of a shop with a full box of donuts I could safely eat. <3 Original review: Great little shop! Superb service. I plan on being a returning customer! As a person
It was?Pandamonium! Excitement while eating these doughnuts. We preordered the glazed, cinnamon, chocolate and toast crunch. They all were enjoyed
If you are looking for your friendly neighborhood doughnut shop, Pandamonium is the spot! From homemade yeast to full out vegan doughnuts, they have it all! I love trying out all of their classic and unique flavors. In fact, if you follow them on social media, they come up with new flavors pretty frequently that makes it even harder for me to not stop by on a weekly basis :) Even their coffee, which they utilize Counter Culture beans, are fantastic! From iced to hot, they can make it your way. They also ha
My fiancee and I ordered Pandamonium Doughnuts for our wedding reception and they were a huge hit!! The process of ordering 100+ donuts was super easy and James was super responsive and helpful! :)
Lots of offerings of donuts and you can't go wrong. Be sure to check out their brink and mortar store as well a donut truck. I got a chance to try the thin mint donut and absolutely loved it. The donuts retain their moisture well after they are made and the cake texture makes it a perfect filling snack.
Fantastic donuts, nice vibe, friendly staff. I didn't get coffee this visit, but noticed a lot of folks were, and I suspect their coffee drinks are good. Definitely our favorite donut spot in town so far.
One of the best doughnuts I?ve had in my life. I always stop by here every time I?m town. Yeast doughnuts are light and airy with a good mouth feel. The cake doughnuts are moist and sweet. They have an array of flavors to choose from and always have a seasonal specials as well . Try to wake up early or pre-order them online because they do sell out pretty quickly.
Absolutely amazing donuts. Lucky to have tried the cr?me br?l?e. Everything I wanted. The glazed (my fave, I like classics) and strawberry (vegan) were great too. 10/10.
awesome, the best local donut shop!
I recommend Lavender honey and Sigon Cinamon sugar. Both are fluffy and just supreme. Donuts here in general are very special. I think they make it better than some famous donut shops in Chicago. Even though It is a bit pricy (a lot more expensive than DD), I am willing to pay for their craftmanship on ??. I am always excited every time I try a new flavor!! Tip: I only tried the food truck at Urbana and some popular flavors are sold out really fast before 10 am. Go early, otherwise you might be able to g
Cool vibes. They have a really awesome mural inside and the overall esthetic is spot on. However the donuts are pricey and honestly not that special. Yes, the flavors are unique but the quality isn?t exceptional.
These are the BEST doughnuts! I live in Bloomington and make the drive for these more than I should but it's so worth it! I just love all the fun flavors and filled doughnuts! My husband and I eloped and had a casual wedding reception recently and ordered a bunch of their doughnuts - Everyone loved them! James made the process super easy for us and was great to work with.
I love that there?s always a variety of flavors to choose from! My favorites are the double coconut, samoa, mocha, and white chocolate macadamia. I find these are the perfect amount of sweetness for me :) The drinks are also always a good time since they?re unique and every drink I?ve had has been tasty! Service is also great!
I go to the physical location and food truck all the time. I love, love, love these donuts. I wait for special times of year when they have certain donuts available. I love that they have vegan options. I'm not even vegan, but they're delicious!
They have the best donuts anywhere. I was traveling 40 miles into town for another purpose, but I made sure to pre-order donuts on their website the night before. I see a midnight snack in my future. Oh, and they are so nice and they provide excellent customer service. Highly recommended!
Always an awesome experience! They ran out unexpectedly, made more on the fly and they were just as delicious if not better than usual. Also had one of their delicious London Fogs while waiting for fresh donuts...yum! 10/10 would recommend!!
My daughter and I visited for the first time and we loved it. We are both gluten intolerant and crave yummy tasting food!! ??. Doughnuts are a big no no. We both had vegan doughnuts and were soooo happy. The first bite was amazing. Thank you so much!!!
When I was in college at UIUC, it was always a treat to get to the Pandamonium truck before they sold out. So, naturally, when I got married in Urbana I had to get their donuts as a cake alternative. We got the mini doughnuts, and made our own display wall. They were such a hit! Everyone loved the doughnuts and we didn't have any left at the end of the night. This is a must-visit place for a treat if you're in the area- their doughnuts are always delicious.
Really fun flavors! Make sure you get there as early as possible because the cool flavors sell out quick!
Loved the doughnut ?? and cup of London Fog! Definitely will be back again.
Pandamonium has the best doughnuts I've ever eaten. They offer creative flavor combinations and the doughnuts are huge. Love this place!
We purchased doughnuts for our wedding last month from Pandamonium and they were fantastic! They looked beautiful, were delicious, and everyone loved them. We could not recommend them enough for big events or just when you?re in the mood for a delicious doughnut. :)
I bought a large amount of donuts from here for my wedding as our wedding dessert. They were incredibly easy to work with and they checked back in on the timeline for pickup to ensure that everything went smoothly. More importantly, the donuts were PHENOMENAL and everyone was raving about them the entire evening. I order over 100 donuts and every single donut looked perfect on pickup. Seriously would recommend to anyone ordering for large events, I could not have been happier with everything they did. Incre
We ordered mini-doughnuts as a dessert for our wedding and everything was perfect! The process was easy and organized and the presentation was lovely!
A great place for amazing doughnuts. Love they have a vegan option, hopefully they expand options!!!
My husband and I can't recommend Pandamonium enough! We decided to do donuts instead of cake for our wedding and it was a huge hit. Not only did they taste amazing but we recieved complements throughout the night on how great they looked too. James was super friendly and made the whole process easy, even when things inevitably changed during the wedding planning process.
Best donuts in town. Lots of different flavors. We have never had a bad donut here. A bit pricey but then when do you eat donuts everyday? You do? Ya weirdo. It's worth the price, you don't not get cheated on the flavor and size. I wish I could eat donuts everyday but at this stage in life it's a bad idea.
Fresh and tasty if you like yeast donuts.
Best donuts in town! Donuts are usually gone by noon, so get them in the morning :)
Delicious donuts, my mom likes to order these ahead on road trips!
The donuts are AH-MAZE-ING! I need to stop driving down Windsor cause I can't drive past it no matter how hard I try!
We order doughnuts from this place every now and then. I absolutely love seeing all the featured flavors and know I have to try them before they sell out! Preordering the night before is the way to go. Definitely a gourmet doughnut shop, but we don?t go anywhere else ??
My favorite doughnut place for sure. Highly recommend the matcha lattae
Quick and great customer service. Donuts are interesting but not the best I've ever had and definitely not worth the price. Building is not designed for you to stay. There are some cheap tables and chairs but no plates, utensils, or even napkins provided. It was fun to go once, but I don't doubt I'll ever go back.
I don't get it with this place. I?ve been twice now. Both donuts I had were decidedly bad: dry donuts with a ton of candy on top. Way too sweet, I felt lousy after two bites. And I only had a few options to choose from when I got there. Maybe I need to go earlier? But I got there before ten. What kind of business basically runs out within three hours of opening and doesn?t make more? But there?s no excuse for a dry donut. If you make them fresh every day and they?re still dry, you?re doing it wrong.
Best donuts in the area - in fact, to me most of their donuts are tastier than more famous premium donut shops across the country (Blue Star Donuts and Voodoo donuts leap immediately to mind). My favorites include Meyer lemon Earl grey and their matcha donut. Coffee is well made too!
The best donuts in the area! Highly recommend! The cereal killer is my favorite, I would recommend ordering ahead of time (day prior) because they are really popular and run out of favorites quickly.
Now this is what I call a donut. The most creative, delicious, wholesome, and beautiful donuts I have had. And I have been eating donuts since I was 4. They aren?t sickeningly sweet like Krispy Kreme or too bread like. I love the flavor combos. And the food truck is very cute!
Anyone who gives this place less than five stars has an axe to grind. The best donuts in town. I drive my preschooler to Montessori M-F and they ask for a donut every day. (We get 1 every other week.) Fascinating flavor combinations, a great staff--I highly recommend.
My husband and I come here all the time, having discovered them at the Urbana's Farmer's Market. We actually did a bulk order with them for our wedding reception on May 4th. The donuts were fantastic! They looked great, the service for the order was excellent, and we were even able to get one of their specialty flavors. We also ordered one of their giant donuts for our "cake cutting" and it also looked beautiful. Try the vegan chai cake donut if you get a chance!
Semi-cool, pretty expensive, very hipster. All the flavor comes from the toppings/icing i.e. the doughnuts themselves are very bland. Some neat flavors you might not have had before, but it was $30 (not including a tip) for 6 doughnuts, a small coffee, and a small hot chocolate, none of which were particularly good. Go there to impress someone, or if you want to try something new!
The donuts seem pricey but they are huge, unique, and delicious! Definitely recommend to my friends when they're in town.
Really, these are very good doughnuts! One of the places I thought was just hyped up but after a few visits and handful of donuts later, I am a believer. They offer both cake and yeast style and yeast style are way better. The dough is unique and doesn?t taste like your typical donut dough. Good chew, fluffy. Lots of flavors - only got to try about 8 of them, but there are a few more I need to try. So far, Cookies and Cream, Chai, and the Maple Praline are my favs. New store is pretty nice, coffee is
One of the few places in town to get a vegan treat. I've shared vegan donuts I've gotten here with lots of my non-vegan friends and co-workers. They couldn't even tell they were vegan. I'd love to see some more vegan flavors on the menu though. I know they must be popular flavors because they're often sold out of them. I've stopped going there these past few months because no seasonal flavors are ever added to the vegan menu. There are so many candies and sweets out there that are "accidentally vegan" that
These dounuts are really amazing. They looked really awesome. I have attached a picture they truly are crazy cool. Defently recommend this dounut shop.
My husband and I decided to try it out and was pretty disappointed. There were only 6 selections for donuts and very pricey. They have better selections at the grocery store. We probably won't be going back. They were good, but not for the prices.
First visit. Just a short wait but the doughnuts were worth the wait. Unique flavors and combinations. We loved it
So this is one of those places you rave about or you think is all hype and I'm the latter. I really wanted to be excited about them, I gave it multiple tries because they are local-owned, but I can only recommend it as maybe a fun one time experience. The flavors are unique, it's fun to pick out what to get, there's awesome local art on the wall - those are the reasons I can recommend trying it once when wanting a change of pace. Now, the things you should know before you go: 1) the prices are 2 to 3 times
Ok donuts. Disappointing customer service. I?ve been a regular customer for years. I?ve bought dozens of donuts for events, my children?s teachers, friends. The couple of times I?ve had an issue they were unable or unwilling to help. The donuts are ok.
Vegan donuts are incredible! Chai, triple chocolate, apple cider, blueberry are favorites. Lemon earl gray was also really good.
Had lemon n coconut. Really tasty. Went on Sunday when about to close hence couldn't pick up other flavors, out of stock. Next trip from Dubai n will pick up more. Thanks PD, was worth each bite.
Went there for the first time on sat feb 1st At 1:30?pm and get this ? ?No Donuts? how can you be a donut shop and not have any donuts.? Maybe the owners need to think who they?re letting fun this place. I won?t be returning. You loss a first time guest and I won?t have anything good to say about this place. A pitiful experience. On a positive note the gentleman working was very nice and apologetic. But I wanted a few donuts!!
Just tried their lemon blueberry donut and that is by far the most flavorful delicious donut I have ever had. Not a big donut guy and definitely not a big review writer but wow.
The frozen chai alone gets 5 stars. The cashier was patient, the frozen chai was the best I've ever had anywhere and the donuts are fun and flavorful but super cute too! Update: London fog tea latte taste like a warm version of bottom of a bowl of fruity pebbles and its soooo good
I spend 20.00 on a dozen of them... they are worth the extra money spent! The only problem i have is trying to figure out which donuts i will get?! They are all so yummy! Pandamonium Donuts could easily be in EVERY town!! Thank you for my new weekly treat!
I tried the vegan earl grey Meyer lemon and it was great! The doughnut itself was cakey and smelled faintly like earl grey while the sweet lemon glaze complimented it perfectly. The only suggestion I'd make would be to offer more than one vegan flavour a day and keep vegan options in stock since I went to the shop one day and had to come back empty handed since no vegan flavours were left. Delicious doughnuts - I plan to try all the vegan flavours with my eye on spiced chai for my next "kill".
Amazing gourmet doughnuts. The maple bacon fritter, usually available on Saturday, is my favorite. Also love the birthday cake, Carmel apple Fritter and cereal killer. Yes...they have a vegan selection every day. Get there early, when they are gone, they close. PS-get a punch card for frequent visits and get a free doughnut after the card is full. Watch Instagram for each days specials. They have a food truck too!
The donuts here are huge! They are also very sweet and very cakelike. If you think you can easily knock-back two donuts, think again. The cookie dough donut is filled with a cookie dough cream. My favorite was the raspberry-almond donut.
Interesting take on doughnuts. Nice toppings but the cake is mostly tasteless. Nice shop.
Came here after reading all the great comments from other people. BUT after spending $20 some dollars on a couple of donuts, i was disappointed. I was expecting some fresh delicious doughnuts but instead i got some dry almost stale doughnuts. The service is great though, the doughnuts are Pricey and mediocre, these are just beautifully decorated Dunkin Doughnut. 4 star for customer service 0 for quality of food
Just a friendly suggestion. Would you ever consider opening slightly earlier? I'm sure I'm not the only one whose day starts earlier, and would love to take 1 or 2 dozen of your donuts to work!
A wee bit expensive, and they could broaden their repertoire by creating a flavor palate that was something more than just sweet. But their donuts are very, very good, and their coffee is go as well.
I tried their Girl Scout thin mint doughnut and it was hands down the best cake doughnut I had ever eaten in my life! I will definitely come back and try some of their other creations!
Fun and inventive artisinal doughnuts and decent coffee/tea options. Get there early (especially on weekends) if you want to be able to choose from all the day's options, as many kinds will be sold out by mid-day.
Regardless of whether you go to the store or food truck, this place has not been listing their prices for quite some time. The owner is most definitely Korean and UIUC alum, and he needs to stop taking cheap shots and low-ball business practices. Their services have a long way to go (esp their little "punch cards"), and the owner is constantly on his phone and does not make any interaction with his customers. Remember when you did a little "fundraiser" to kick off with your food truck and the community hel
Delicious variety and flavors!come early for best selection. Pick up donuts at the truck. And try cake like style and fluffy dough style!
My daughter and I enjoyed the doughnuts. I very much liked the Peach Blossom tea recommendation. I would definitely like to go back sometime in the future.
The doughnuts were delicious, creative and attractive. The doughnuts scream of custom recipes-it would be silly to compare them to others with similar names. So, I suggest a jamoca almond fudge named Gilbert!
Always great service. The Donuts here are so good! The price is a little on the higher side, but you are supporting a local business.
Great donuts, convenient pickup from online order, have some very different and unique flavors, me and the fam were all very impressed at the donuts we got.
Good selection of flavors and they even have some GF choices. Go early to make sure you get the flavor doughnut you want because the popular flavors go fast.
This is my favorite place in C-U for vegan donuts. Not only are they delicious but I LOVE that they always have at least one vegan donut!
Fun place to sit and yummy doughnuts! I highly suggest the lemon doughnuts!!
doughnuts are delicious!! i always make sure to stop by the food truck and grab me a doughnut before class
Donuts are a bit pricey but very delicious. The truck is located outside the store and you can order donuts there. The store is for pick up if you order online the day before.
The cookies & cream has the most incredible filling. Also, the blueberry lemon is one of the best donuts I've ever had.??????
Horrible coffee, no gluten-free or vegan options even on weeks where they say they will have them. Total disappointment. If you can skip this place on your way through town I advise you to do so
