I did not know what I stumbled on after picking up some Dutch Bros coffee nearby... I saw there was a donut place so I decided to pick up a few. This is now my new favorite donut place which stinks because I live 2,000 miles away. The yeast donut was perfect. It was light and fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness and crisp on the outside. The chocolate cake glazed with superb as well. Crispy fried but super tender on the inside. If I live near here, I'd probably not ever lose weight. So so good.

Really fresh and tasty donuts. My favorite type of donut is chocolate iced and these were light as air with a delicious chocolate icing. I love a good cinnamon roll and theirs was the perfect ratio of cinnamon. The lady working there was very friendly.

Oh my god the donuts are so fluffy and tasty. Best I have ever had, it?s like biting into clouds. The ladies working there are also very friendly too. Will come back.

Warning, the donuts are addictive. There appears to have been a changeover in ownership or management. A few of the recipes seem to have changed. The white frosting seems more watered down. But they tend to have more donuts on hand lately in the morning. They're also open on Mondays now.

Excellent! At 11:00am only a few items remained - that told me how good it was going to be! The Boston Creme had just been made so it was still warm when the custard was piped in...amazing!! The apple fritter (balanced amount of apple and crispy edges) is also a must try! The prices were very reasonable. Looking forward to visiting again!!

Good fresh donuts! I've been meaning to stop in as its close to my daughters school and we made it finally! I had an old fashioned that was great and she loved her sprinkles. Thank you Fry's' bakery for being out of donuts one morning which lead me to try Original Rainbow Donuts! Their raised yeast donuts are so fresh, they melt in your mouth. They also occasionally make blueberry or cherry fritters, a nice change from apple. Everything we've tried has been so good! Saturday mornings are busy there and the owner/server is always friendly.

Not impressed. $10.88 for 7 donuts?!? That's ridiculous. They are over proofed and look better than they are. Not horrible, they taste ok but I've had much better for much less. I won't be coming here again. Rainbow donuts on 1347 E McDowell Str is WAYbetter and WAY cheaper.

A really nice mom & pop style donut shop. The lady who works there is always friendly and welcoming. Honestly, the best donuts I've ever had. Unbelievably fluffy. The glaze is like eating a cloud. Always fresh and warm. Coffee is pretty good too. Prices are great. If you're going to indulge with a donut, don't waste your money at a chain donut shop or a grocery store. Support a local business that actually cares about their customers and the quality of their products. 10/10

EASILY THE BEST DONUTS I HAVE EVER HAD! I didn?t want to spoil the surprise by taking a picture of them, but they were AMAZING!! Friendly and welcoming ownership and amazing coffee as well. I'm not normally a donut guy but WOW these donuts are good. Great texture, not greasy, wide variety of flavours ... these guys put the big chains to shame! And the lady that greats customers is super sweet and patient. If you had fallen out of love with donuts, this is the place to fall in love again.

This Donut shop used to be excellent. They put up a sign they had to increase their prices, I understand that....However, guess what, they also did? They decreased their fillings, (except for the jelly donuts which are basically food coloring and glob). It's sad how owners get greedy and after they start out with a good product and get the ratings and the dedicated customers, they become complacent and the quality goes south! Will be finding a new place moving forward. I've supported them for the past 10yrs

The glazed croissant is amazing. Also had the regular donuts and they were still warm and melted in your mouth. Highly recommended. Will be back soon.

Absolutely the best donuts and croissants you can get in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area- you must try if you haven?t been as one bite will tell you everything you need to know. Donuts are really top shelf and second to none but I was shocked at how amazing the croissants were as well!

I'm a big donut fan, but didn't love the donuts here. I picked apart 2 apple fritters, but could not find a single spec of apple. The croissant donut thing was WAY TOO SWEET for me, as were most of the donuts we got. The blueberry cake donut had a lot of blueberry flavor. We ended up throwing away about 90% of what we purchased. Just not so good. Giving 3 stars because they were very nice. Come early if you want a selection of raised donuts. The owners are so incredibly friendly and helpful. The donuts are made fresh so sometimes there?s a wait, but it?s completely worth it. The donuts are the best we have ever had! I recommend getting them warm if possible. I really like that they serve Thai iced tea - my favorite beverage, so that?s a plus!

Amazing donuts! Some of the friendliest and hardest working people I've met. Always a friendly greeting. This place is run by a husband and wife (I believe) and they're great people. They do get huge orders so sometimes the selection is limited but pretty much every donut they make is great. Highly recommend.

Awesome donuts! We visit somewhat frequently, my only complaint is that in order to get a good selection you must arrive early because they sell out fast, which goes to show how good they are. They do have a service so that you can order a day before to secure your selection, need to try this out!

A great donut is one that exists! Not sure about the inventory control here, I love these donuts but strike 4, no matter the time interval 7-8:00 AM or 8-9:00 AM, run into less than 20 donuts on stock and empty shelves for variety. Must be that good, but the chances of landing one, not so much :(

I got there late so the selection was smaller but the donuts did not disappoint. Always fresh and the taste is consistent. The apple fritter or bear claw are phenomenal.

We went on a girls trip to Scottsdale and Original Rainbow Donuts was one of our highlights of the trip! We were greeted by the friendliest face each visit and the selection of baked goods was always incredible. Each donut or croissant we tried was delicious. We will definitely be back in future visits! Best cronuts ever, arrive early. Stopped in for cronuts but they were sold out for the day, understandable as it was nearing closing time. Instead tried a couple of other options and placed an order for pickup the next day. Next day arrived a 7am and walked in as my cronuts were being boxed. No matter what time of day you go here, they are always low in stock of classic/raised donuts. I even went to their store before 6:00am they are almost out of the classic donuts. I came here on a weekday morning and got an apple fritter, glazed cake, and cinnamon crumb. The apple fritter was amazing, and it was my favorite one. It was chewy inside and crunchy outside, and it was quite thick. The other two were pretty average, nothing to rave about; I did appreciate their freshness and not being too sweet. The three donuts came out to be $4.38 post-tax, a bit pricey but they were quite big.

Can't fault this place one bit for their donut selection. They're open early everyday and there's always something fun for the kids to try. My eldest will drag me out of bed on the weekend to take here to grab donuts for the house before daybreak. Cool place, even better family tradition.

We used to go to another popular donut place but they are so unfriendly and overpriced. We went to Rainbow and ordered the same thing we always hot at the other place. At Rainbow, they were bigger, better tasting and even my kids mentioned how nice the staff is. We will now be going to Rainbow for all our donut needs.

I only walked passed this Donut Shop and did not enter the store. However, from what I have seen through the windows, this place has a wide variety of different Donuts to choose from. I will give this store a five star, because the place was pretty busy with several people carrying out boxes of Donuts.

its kinda expensive. i got 12 mixed donuts for about $24. i think you have to be there in the morning. otherwise they will run out of donuts. if you dont mind higher price and going in early then this is a good donut store :(
