Happy, upbeat service- answered my many questions about the menu with lots of patience and enthusiasm. Got our food quickly even though it was busy. And it was SO GOOD. We tried four of the sweet, filled malasadas and they were all delicious. The Bavarian cream one was our favorite as it wasn?t too sweet. A must try if you?re in the area!
I ordered just the cinnamon malasada and I enjoyed it. My husband ordered a Bavarian cr?me with strawberry drizzle, he wasn?t very impressed. The strawberry sauce was like a syrup and there wasn?t much cr?me for what you pay extra for.
Vibes are high at Onoh?s! We got spam & egg sandwiches and the Nutella malasada and it all tasted so good! The service was quick and we love that everything on the menu is unique and so different from all the other food places around here. 10/10 recommend!
My husband and I have been dreaming of Leonard?s Malasadas since we had them on Oahu, 4 years ago. We heard about Ohno?s and decided to give it a try. I got the Kaluha Pork sandwich, husband got the cheeseburger. Both were phenomenal! The pistachio was okay, but the coconut cream and Bavarian cream malasadas were fantastic! Definitely will return!
I was given a gift card to this place and never heard of it. What a great location over by the Provo Canyon. Great Sunday drive and food was amazing. Also the service was wonderful. Open on Sundays. Great place to go for breakfast on way up the Provo Canyon.
Came here for the first time and I loved it!! The spam breakfast sandwich was sooo good!! Perfect balance of sweet and savory and salty. The Nutella raspberry filled donut was so amazing as well!! Very sweet though so I recommend something salty on the side. I def recommend!!
Okay, this is a must try. If you are in the Provo area get here ASAP and try it! I got the Southwest and the Kalua and they both were incredible. I got the Island Breeze drink with a coconut water and it was the best lunch I have had all month.
Raised in Hawai?i and was not disappointed ?? Only complaint is that each malasada only had like maybe 2 bites of filling, so wish they were filled slightly more, but still really good! If you?re not sure what to order get the sweet cream cheese filling with guava drizzle & the haupia filled! Also can?t go wrong with bavarian cream rolled in cinnamon sugar. Hope to see a location open up in Salt Lake county someday!
I always drive by this place and finally had the chance to try it. Their malasadas are always made fresh, so you?ll get them nice and warm. They also have a really good hot chocolate. A perfect pair for breakfast.
The reviews are right! Amazing food. Spam was perfectly fried. Malasadas were 10/10. Texture and flavor was perfect. They came out hot on the outside and the filling was fresh and cool. I will be coming back in the near future.
The best donut place I?ve ever eaten at, better than Krispy Kreme?s, better than Days. We tried to find malasadas in Hawaii and there were not any shops nearby. This was perfect! The outside was perfectly fried and soft in the middle. Lots of filling super flavorful, not gross fake sugary, perfect creaminess. We got Nutella filled and haupia filled. We?ve had breakfast sandwiches here also, they are amazing, bacon, egg, and cheese, egg, sausage, and cheese, ham, egg, and cheese. We take our kids here after
Great service, super helpful with figuring out the flavor combinations! The food is sooooo delicious. I had the bbq chicken sandwich with fries and the Luau drink. AMAZING. The grilled chicken was so juicy and flavorful. The fries were super crispy! BUT THE DONUTS were absolutely divine. Definitely go for the raspberry drizzle on top.
My 4 star is completely based off of my flavor preferences. I?ve always had great service. Love the idea of this place. It?s a little expensive as is everything these days. My main request would be to have the sandwiches be on a less sweet dough. It?s a sweet dough for savory sandwiches. Always a pleasant experience and loved that they brought the fresh lime back.
It reminds me of Brazilian sonhos. Freshly fried and delicious. The dough is so good I could eat it by itself.
First time coming here and the staff were amazing and helpful. The place is clean and amazing. They have so many options. They made the food quick and hot. It was all delicious! Will be coming here more often!
Ordered the Keylime pie filled doughnut. Got the doughnut, but the filling was missing. So sad to have a jelly filled doughnut with no jelly.
Cute retro drive-in place in the middle of a beautiful, peaceful neighborhood! Dough is hot, fresh, and fluffy. I recommend checking out the flavor of the month and the Hawaiian flavors! I grabbed a box of ube cheesecake (too bad not seasonal) + haupia and kalua pork sandwich! I opted to get the drizzle on the side just so I can savor the malasadas on its own and also try it with the different flavors. The mango, lilikoi, and guava are so delicious, they should be its own filling! More Hawaiian flavors plea
We went and decided to try a little bit of everything as a group! We got a spam and egg breakfast malasada and it was one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had! We also got the kalua pork sandwich and that was a solid 10/10. We ordered their recommendation of a dozen for the sweet malasadas and all of them were ridiculously good. Will be back over and over again.
I guess Leonards set the bar too high. The malasadas were just good enough for the experience. I rate them 7/10. Not the best I've tried but good enough. Presentation of the fresh malasadas was beautiful. I loved the atmosphere, vibe and paying homage with the famous pink boxes.
We stopped in for some Malasadas. They also appear to serve sandwiches and other things, but we stuck to the malasadas. The wait wasn't bad. I think it took longer for the woman in front of me to order than it took for them to make her, and my orders. We go to Hawaii a couple times a year, and love to get malasadas from the local shops. These were bigger than most island malasadas. These were cooked all the way through, which was nice considering their size. My two complaints are pretty trivial, but stil
We loved the drinks, donuts, pulled pork sandwich and the fries were amazing without ketchup or any sauce
First time visiting and they had delicious sandwiches and malasadas! The only disappointment is that they forgot the topping on our order of 6 malasadas that I paid for. Didn't look inside the box until I got home and was super disappointed, so maybe check the box before you leave, but otherwise it was great!
The filled malasadas are so good, and we love the breakfast sandwiches. Tried the malasada bun burgers today and the burger looked and tasted like it was a microwaved frozen patty :( sad because we loved the idea of it but we would not recommend the burgers or get them again.
It's cute! But there's really nothing to ride home about with the malasada. The dough is amazing but the fillings and drizzles are dont match the dough at all. You are hit with these very processed drizzles and fillings that really bring the quality of the fried pastry down. Also the fillings kind of fall out of the dough and its so so messy, and not very fun to eat. More natural fillings would go along way taste and quality wise. But the star of the show is their sandwiches. Skip the sweet stuff all togeth
Top of the top best donuts in utah kind of tastes like a scone, then a donut is a good substitute for sconecutter, rest in peace, sconecutter
Not bad malasadas! I?m comparing them to Hawaiis malasadas and I?ll give them a solid 7/10 in comparison! I got the coconut filling and my son got Bavarian and we both were happy with our choices. Pretty delish!
Delicious food! Loved the outdoor seating!
The malasadas were huge, warm, delicious and they had a good variety of fillings to choose from. They have other food options, which we didn't try. I've been here twice, I recommend the Nutella cream! Heavenly!
Good but malasadas are literally twice the price compared to the ones you get in Hawaii. Im guessing maybe because not alot of people in Utah buy Malasadas, but I would be willing to bet they would sell more Malasadas if they were at least 30% cheaper. Overall, for a dozen malasadas, with fillings, and a drizzle on all of them, it?s $55..
Fun new place to try, we tried sweet options as well as a couple sandwiches. Go for the sweet ones, they taste great. The sandwiches were not amazing. The fries were pretty good too.
It?s so good. Their burgers are fantastic, such a fun twist on a classic. The malasadas are great and I highly recommend the drinks. Definitely check this place out if you?re in Provo
I?m a big fan of these malasadas. They resemble Leonard?s Malasadas from Hawaii closer than others in Utah. Great shell, pillowy dough inside and delicious fillings. The mango drizzle was my favorite. The nutella filling was whipped and buttery (preferred over straight nutella) and the haupia was delightful. Rumor has it that a passionfruit drizzle or filling is on its way. That just gives one more reason to go back! They will be putting back a phone booth to bring back the memories from the old LDS seminar
This place!! I was lucky enough to be able to try a couple of their malasada sandwiches (BBQ chicken & Monte Cristo) and I can die happy now!!! The malasada buns are INSANE! I got to try the sweet malasadas too and I feel like I?m back in Oahu indulging in my favorite sweet treats! I am obsessed! The owner Sophie is so friendly which is amazing! Can?t wait to frequent this place all. The. Time. If you want to be swept away to Hawaii for a few beautiful minutes while eating the best treat?s & sandwiches you
Ono?s is seriously THE BEST pastry shop on the Wasatch front. It?s not JUST a pastry shop. The sand inches of all kind are seriously not to miss. The hand rolled and risen dough is fluffy and yet chewy and just sweet enough. The mango drizzle and the assorted dips are definitely a MUST. ALSO! Do not forget to order a limeade as it?s the original recipe from when this location was a burger joint back in the day. The owner is a local woman in her twenties and is kicking a$$ and working hard to be successful.
We tried 3 flavors of malasadas and 2 sandwiches (Ono Cristo and the kalua pork). Everything was so delicious! The sandwiches were all 6.99. Great price for great food. We will definitely come back! Highly recommend.
We came to try this place based on several recommendations I have seen. It was better than expected we tried three Malasada doughnuts, lemon, coconut, and nutella. They were super creamy and delicious, I will come back to try more of the menu.
We visited the food truck several months ago and I love seeing how much Ono?s has grown! They now offer savory food, more drinks, and of course the malasadas. Today, I got the cinnamon one filled with the Bavarian cream! Even with it being the grand opening and quite a few people there, I only had to wait a few minutes! All seating is outdoors but there are a few stand heaters that help take the chill off. I look forward to coming again and getting a sandwich, those look great. I really enjoyed the malas
Went and sampled 3 of their donuts today. Personally I thought they were too sweet. I had the drizzle, didn?t try a filled one, which i hope is better than the drizzled ones. I asked for 1 without sugar and they still put sugar on it. We had the chocolate, raspberry and mango drizzle. The raspberry was by far the best, Mango was ok and no one liked the chocolate. ???????
Best dessert in UT. Quick & easy, fantastic pricing, and great flavors. Not anything like it around here, and much better than another cookie or soda shop If you're on the fence, just trust me that it's the best
The staff was great and so were the donuts! I had a Nutella and coconut creme filled donuts. They were both so delicious! I highly recommend going here! Better than any donut because they are fresh!
The Malasada with cream was very good! It was perfectly cooked and the sugar on the outside was the perfect addition. We also tried the hot chocolate and it was excellent. Very rich, smooth and creamy. Even on a warm day it was perfection!! Hopefully this business expands and comes closer to me!
Delicious burger and fries, pulled pork was mouth watering. Get the flavored drinks. Malasada?s are so good. Will be eating here again.
Ono?s has quickly become me and my wife?s favorite little dessert spot. We probably have an unhealthy addiction to the Ube Cheescake flavor. Absolutely slaps. Also the vibes are 10/10. The malasadas are way better hot so eat them while you?re there!
Absolute rip off. They don?t put any creme in the malasadas.
I think they're the best malasadas in Utah. We ordered all cinnamon sugar coated, with one plain, one chocolate-filled, and one lemon-filled. The lemon was tart and satisfying and the chocolate was quite runny but the flavor was delicious. Recommend.
Not only are the malasadas delicious, the service was great! We came early and our food was warm, soft and abundantly filled! Our whole family loved them! We?ve been back at least once a week for some nice morning treat!
Ordered 6 Onoh?s, each had a tiny squirt of filling, and a tiny drizzle of topping. Al six were squished into a 9x9 box on their sides with the toppings running off and onto the others. All for a total of $24.00. Very bland and boring. The social media ads are misleading. Didn?t try the sandwiches, perhaps that?s their prize product.
Definitely get the sugar coated haupia filled! And I just love that they pay homage to Ripples by having the fresh lime drink, you must try that as well!!!
Ono's is a super good spot. The atmosphere is great. We have came here once for the malasadas and were impressed. We've since come back a couple times, most recently last week, for the burgers and sandwiches, and have been blown away. The food is always very good. Both the malasadas, burgers, sandwiches, or fries. The sauce they give with the fries is great too. The Kalua burger is my favorite so far. The staff is always nice too. This is not par for the course for food joints, so kudos to Ono's! We don't
The malasadas are good, but the filling is almost nonexistent. If I'm going to pay an extra 75 cents for filling, then I expect to see filling. Had to add my own nutella spread to make up for the lack.
This place is so cute and the donuts are SO YUMMY! I'm so excited for their new location in pleasant grove so they'll be closer! Everyone needs to try Onohs!????
Ono! Was not quite the experience I was hoping to have. The workers were amazing! Kudos to them for working hard and being so polite. It?s a cool little drive in. I?m sad to report that I did not enjoy my malasadas. I got a couple of different ones, all with the Nutella filling, but the Nutella was not Nutella. I got a super salty watery chocolate substance that dried my mouth. It wasn?t the least bit appetizing. I?m kinda surprised that this place is still in business with the poor quality of food that the
Used to come here when it was rippels. Quick fast service. Under 10 for a sandwitch and a drink. Got the bbq chicken. Bacon was actually crispy. Awesome!!
I'd give it 5-stars, but there just isn't much to this place. You have a few options for breakfast sandwiches, and a few options for Malasadas (Portuguese donut-ish treats). The place was clean, fun paint, a pink phone booth, and tasty food in a timely manner.
Delicious treat. Got 6 kinds, for the whole family to share. We got some just like these in Hawaii. So yummy. Can't wait to go back.
One of my absolute favorite places to eat in Utah county. I love that it's not food you can just get anywhere. They've added some new options to the menu recently, and everything I've tried so far has been amazing.
If you want a warm, melt-in-your-mouth, does-and-gone-to-heaven donut this is the place. I got the chocolate-filled sugar-coated Malasada and it was so good. It was crispy, warm and delicious. Sometimes these things can be too rich but it wasn?t! Even the owner was there and was super kind and told us the story of how she opened the shop! 5 out of 5
Love love LOVE! I?ve had malasadas in Hawaii when I lived there and these EXCEEDED my expectations! Soft, fluffy, sweet, and just straight up YUMMY SO ONO! ????
I have never had a Malasada before this. So I expected more like a donut, not fried bread. I ordered 3 stuffed ones and a southwest chicken sandwich combo. The fries are like restaurants serve with dipped battered fries. It's really crunchy outside and soft in the center. Delicious. The sandwich was good tasting, but the Malasada was a bit too soft. I felt for the sandwich. I ended up taking off the breading and eating the inside ingredients. I couldn't tell which one was my butter pecan and what was Nutell
So fun that this is in Provo! It was fun that you could customize it, but it does start to add up the $$. Definitely worth a visit every now and then. You can make cookies at home, but if you need unique treats, this is the place.
I really love this place! For about 50 years, it was called ripples drive-in and when the owner passed away, his wife sold it to Ono and I loved they still have ripples recipes for their fresh lime drinks! That recipe is and there?s a reason for it and it?s delicious! I?ve also gotten the cookie butter filled, and the ice cream filled one and it?s incredible. I also love the Ono burger and the Montecristo.! All the stuff there is fantastic. Beckham happens to be my favorite because he?s my nephew.! But the
LOVE this place!! I got the pulled pork sandwich, fries, the lime drink, and the cinnamon sugar malasada with the coconut filling. Everything was SO good!!!!! Fries were super crispy and the sandwich was delightful!!!!! I almost bought a second drink because it was so delicious!! Highly highly recommend!!! I returned again a few months later and got the Monte Cristo. It was DIVINE!!!!
The Haupia Malasada is the BOMB!! It tastes so fresh and delicious. I haven?t tried anything besides this but hopefully I will soon!
This place is the very very best. The food is crazy good and the owner, Sophie, is super smart and kind and helpful. I would HIGHLY recommend this spot to any Provo locals? it?s just like ripples was but now it has donuts!! What could be better?
Holy cow, I cant wait for ab opportunity to come here again and try something else on the menu!! My donut was warm, fresh, and just the right amount of sweet ??
Loved the Nutella! Just wish the Haupia was thicker- but that was the only let down! Wonderful place, will certainly be returning!
We ordered 2 fresh Malasadas, one being a specialty one (which we paid the higher price for), and upon receiving our order we got 2 base Malasadas. After realizing, we asked the employee and he said they had run out of the pre-made one we had ordered. I can't believe that he did not inform us, and we had to pay the higher price for food we did not order. No refund was given, absolute train wreck of service and professionalism.
Very underwhelming. Just another influencer food spot to take pictures at. Very expensive as well. Pretty disappointing experience because social media made it look so fun and delicious.
Was looking for doughnuts. Google maps directed me into a residential neighborhood and there was Ono's. I stopped. I read the menu and the brief history and took a chance. I ordered two raspberry, two lemon, and two creme. I wish I had ordered six more. I'll be back.
?I don?t wanna oversell it or anything, but it changed my life.?-my fiance The service is great, the food is yummy, and the vibe is awesome
Love onos! Made on the spot fresh, hot and ready to go! My favorite was the haupia(coconut). I highly recommend this local joint. Make sure to go early because they sell out fast!
I can't believe this is in my neighborhood. A bit off of the beaten path but we'll worth checking out. The malasadas are warm, fluffy, light and perfect in every sense! I'll do my best to never eat a doughnut again so long as Ono's is here.
Loved this place! I tried the savory sandwiches . Need to return to try the donuts
Excited the shop is open! We tried a bunch of different flavors and they were all good! They also have outdoor heaters and tables.
Absolutely phenomenal. My experience was quick, and incredibly delicious. The cinnamon Malasadas we?re my favorite. I?ll be back!
Just okay Malasadas, they're a bit too dense, but I think that's because they're pulling double duty as sandwich buns. I had burger, which was pretty okay, but I bet the breakfast sandwiches rock. Now, one thing that was fantastic, was the fry sauce. I don't know what they're doing with their fry sauce but it's now my favorite in the state.
I ordered a breakfast sandwich and a variety of sweet ones. So fresh and delicious. If you can't eat them all there, they taste better warmed back up in the microwave rather than room temperature, especially the next day.
These are delicious. They are warm and so soft. I love that you can create your own flavor combos depending on what filling and what glaze/drizzle you choose.
Geez was I excited to come here and holy cow was I disappointed. I got a hamburger and paid $13 for sandwich fries and a drink. It was the most horrible hamburger I?ve ever had in my entire adult life and paid an arm and a leg. The patty was grey and cold and uncomfortably thick. It had a weird taste and I wonder now if the beef was old. I couldn?t finish it. It was even hard to look at. The worst was I paid 5guys prices for something so terrible. The fries were good but nothing special. The doughnuts I got
Service is really fast and masaladas are delicious. I love the cookie dough and Nutella ones. Eat them while they?re still to enjoy them the most.
We had the Cristo and Kahlua Pork sandwiches, and the fries and Ono's sauce were the perfect accompaniment. The fries were crispy and the sandwiches mouthwatering! I recommend the fresh lime to drink. The best one I've ever had!
Love the sandwiches on a scone type bun, and their frys are awesome. Going back next week
So delicious and the staff was very nice! Hot and fresh, just the way I like it! ... If you're getting a filled malasada, just be aware it is a little messy especially if you get it for your kids. But yeah, so good!
It?s like Krispy Kreme. But waaaaay better. Love the filling and the dough is all hand-rolled. Definitely coming back here with my friends!
The malasadas are great, they taste really good. However, there s barely any filling in them which is really disappointing. The first time me and my friends came here, we were hooked because the Malasadas were very full with filling. However, we have all been back twice and both times were extremely disappointing. It seems like they are putting less and less filling which is really frustrating because you pay extra for filling here. The service is not that great either if I am being completely honest.
First Time trying this and I absolutely love the flavors, my favorite is the Haupia filling and mango drizzle! I will definitely come back for some more!
The breakfast sandwiches are tasty but very greasy. The Manassas are awesome
Super yummy food! We had the bbq pork sandwich and I tasted amazing! Only reason for 4 star was servings were pretty small for the cost, unfortunately. But other than that cute place! Definitely not a place to get full though
