Oliver's Donuts

My favorite donut shop in Pittsburgh! Oliver?s Donuts have just the right amount of crisp on the outside with a wonderful soft cake-y inside. (Why yes, I have thought a lot about my ideal donut.) They have a great mix of unique seasonal flavors and familiar classics, plus plain and specialty coffee to go with them. Can?t forget that it?s a great lgbtq+ friendly business as well!

The vegan Rosemary olive oil was delicious! Appreciate the vegan donuts - they had the rosemary olive oil and an orange olive oil as the vegan options today.

I loved my visit! Delish coffee and unique flavors of donuts. A relaxing atmosphere with comfy chairs. The place is clean and aesthetically pleasing. After your coffee fix you can walk around to find locally made arts and crafts.

Not worth the price whatsoever or the hassle. The service is mediocre and the product less than that. 66 bucks for two dozen donuts that contain no more different stuff than any standard donut shop and they are tiny in comparisons to large city offerings. Go to Better Maid or any non hipster based business and you'll see such a better product for so much better prices. This place gauging people is wrong and hopefully everyone notices and a better shop can go in.

I had the most delicious cortado and the seasonal Honey Cardamom donut. Super friendly service and lovely space.

I really hate to give a bad rating to any restauraunt, but the service at this place has let me down one too many times. Today marks the third time that I have gone up to order from the service window as I normally would, only for no one to come up and take my order. The last two times the window wasn't even open, and none of the employees made a signal on what to do or even acknowledge that I was there when they had clearly seen me. They serve one donut, with different toppings. It?s a cake donut. Similar to the new fad donut shops. As a donut shop, it?s disappointing. They do a good job with coffee but have few options! I think the biggest draw is the vibe. Kudos for doing the vegan thing. The market concept is cool. You?ll find better donuts elsewhere.

I?d honestly give these donuts zero stars, if that was an option. I bought a box 6 donuts, each a different flavor. I paid $22.00 (included an 18% tip because the counter help was friendly). I tried the coffee one first and it was dry?tasted old! Then I took a bite of each to see if any were good?they definitely were NOT! Horrible and dry and stale!!! Even the glaze looked/tasted old. I?m so mad that I wasted that much money on 6 stale donuts that taste like cardboard and sawdust.

Dry, over-priced hipster donuts. Coffee was acidic and lukewarm. In a place like Pittsburgh with so many classic (reasonably priced) donut shops, why go to this one?

Had the pumpkin doughnut and the vanilla doughnut. The vanilla one was the best (and available year round). The staff was friendly and prompt. Ended up also getting a latte. I recommend using the service window on the side of the building, since the inside can get a bit crowded

Finally got a donut on my fourth attempt. The times posted on social media for when to expect donuts was really inaccurate and you can't call and ask for availability. Got a huckleberry donut. It was good, but not $4.50 good. Seriously, the prices for their donuts are just outrageous. $42 for a dozen. I'm not upset that I tried it, but I'm never going to buy from here again unless the prices come down significantly. There are plenty of donuts in town that are just as good for cheaper.

Great donuts but a little pricey. The chocolate cake donuts (chocolate chai, chocolate sea salt, and death by chocolate) are really lovely.

I mean.... Look at these beauties! The 2 in the back are chocolate/ sea salt, the 2 in the middle are vanilla, bottom left is chocolate maple bacon and bottom right is Huckleberry. On a scale of romances to documentaries, Oliver's Donuts is the romance you expect. I missed the grand opening of Oliver's Donuts a year ago. Ever since then, I've been hoping to get there. i spend a ton of time in oliver?s donuts, and it?s one of the best places for coffee and to work from virtually in lawrenceville. i literally haven?t had a donut like this before, they are absolutely delicious and the coffee is top tier too!!! i?m a self proclaimed coffee sob and i?ve never had a bad cup of coffee here. the whole staff is super nice. really glad they?re apart of the lawrenceville community.

The matcha was so bad I can?t believe they serve that to customers. Maybe their other things are better but don?t come here for a matcha latte.

They're pretty good as far as cake donuts go. Slightly larger than standard (angle of my photo makes it look small lol). Crispiness on the outside was nice. I thought they were slightly dry inside but my partner did not. The chocolate one had a little bit of chocolatey goo inside - not sure if intentional, but it was tasty haha. I think it was from the glaze soaking into the hole? Also, they've lowered their prices by 50c each since the previous reviews but I forgot to take a pic.

My wife, on Saturday morning 7/20/2024, asked my daughter and I if we wanted to go try this place. We got there from the south hills around 10:30 AM. Coffee wasn?t great and staff attitudes matched. We asked for our coffees to be made to sit in. They were made in togo cups then poured into mugs. Not worth trying if you are a coffee lover. The barista working did not seem to care

Super bummed. I?ve been wanting to try this place for weeks. I specifically planned to make the 2.5 mile walk from my house. Arrived at 8:30 and door was locked/nobody at the side order window. The Donuts are dry and expensive. You want them to be good because the flavors sound very interesting and are unique but they are not.

I really want to like this place and leave a good review. However, the service I experienced today made me decide not to come back. This was my second time here. Let me preface with this: if this was Dunkin Donuts I wouldn't have cared so much. But I came here to support a small local business. Amazing donuts and equally outstanding service in a creative, cool and fun co-retail environment. Donuts are always made fresh with amazing quality control. You get your money's worth with these donuts as they are distinctively larger than the average chain. Creative flavors make it worth the visit.

If you're a Lawrenceville dog-owner this is a great place to stop on your daily walk! They have a little service window on the side or you can pop in and take a walk around the independent shops. I also LOVE the atmosphere--it's a really cute cafe with big windows and lots of plants--a great place to work or hold a one-on-one meeting. As far as food/drinks go, I have loved every tea I've tried here even more than the one before. Try an iced london fog or a hot cinnamon plum tea! I'm not a donut person reall

These donuts are beyond amazing and are the best donuts in Pittsburgh hands down. The vanilla is my favorite the depth of the flavor along with the perfect glaze top makes it unbelievably delicious! The new vegan Chocolate Ginger is to die for as well.

$25 for two donuts and 2 coffees? My boyfriend enjoyed the donut he got, but the strawberry donut was sour and I couldn't eat it. Coffee was okay, but hard to mess that up. Cute spot and love the cat on the merch, but way too expensive.

Had the lavender lemon donut. Donut was brightly flavored, with a perfect tender crumb and a balanced sweetness. Couldn?t ask for a better pregame for a Saturday bike ride through town. Espresso game was on point. Will definitely be back again to try the other flavors.

They sold us day old donuts for $3 each. At first I thought maybe they just sell dry, poor quality donuts, but one of the donuts in our box was warm and delicious and all the reviews say they CAN make a good donut. I feel ripped off and they don't even have a phone number for me to call. If you're going to charge so much, don't you dare sell stale donuts from the day before.

Their selection is small but represents variety. Their recipe offers quality details like lemon zest in the batter. The donuts are cake style. The flavors are a combination of flavored toppings and donuts. Their huckleberry donut is a special flavor you can't easily find elsewhere. I had a delicious cappuccino and Lemon Lavender donut at Oliver?s donuts today. Both were well worth it. The flavors are unique and the donut itself was a great consistency, sweet and tangy. Highly recommend!

This place is great, the donuts flavors are delicious and the type of donut is a bit unique around here in the best way. These are clearly made with TLC and worth every penny. They also support local businesses and coffee brands outside the normal you?d get elsewhere. Go here for quality, go here for the vibes.

Very pricey so I don't know how often I'd visit. I wish they more variety of flavors but the Huckleberry and Chocolate sea salt are delicious. They are cake donuts and wish they had "fried" ones as well. They should consider it in the future and maybe come a bit down on the price because I doubt a business can remain with prices like that even if they're good. And as for the person that referred to Giant Eagle donuts....Giant Eagle wishes they had quality.

I recently visited Pittsburgh and a friend recommended this place. Check it out, you won?t be disappointed. The staff are all very friendly and the service is quick. They even have a window you can order through if your in a hurry. The coffee was great and the donuts were even better. There are other little shops in the market house (the same building) as well worth checking out as well.

After much awaited anticipation I finally got to try one of their donuts. The donut was good, but there was nothing exceptional about it, at least to justify paying the $4.50 price. I recommend going to the French bakery La Gourmandine down the street a few blocks. You will get better delectable sweets for your money.

I was waiting inside for 40 mins to get my pick up order which said it ready for picking up 50 mins ago, then staff came to say there is no order for me actually but another guy told me twice they were making it for me. I understood there is some preorder rule on website and I miss reading it, but when another staff finally asked me if I still want my order, I said yes, then they just grab the leftover donuts from the bags they were going to throw out. The space is beautiful and the doughnuts are even better. I think the most well executed is the chocolate sea salt (which is delicious), but the classic vanilla is my favorite. You know the doughnuts are good when the vanilla is the best. I stop by all the time for a coffee and a doughnut. Check out the bookstore across the hall too!
