Great donuts, great service! Some of the comments say it's cash only, but I paid with card (and it was an extremely good deal/great price)! I love a coconut donut, and the coconut donut here was easily the best I've ever had. Definitely coming back again soon. Update: been back two more times now, donuts + service have been impeccable and amazing every time. Love this place

The best apple fritters most of us have ever tasted. Great warm bagels(I had the SoCal and loved it). But my favorite part? Locals stopping in to say good morning to the owner on their walks and runs. Price was worth every penny. All in all a perfect donut shop

Great little place with good donuts! I had the apple fritter and got my girl the cake donut with pink frosting and sprinkles. The donut holes are really good too. Not overly done like most places.

A small unassuming shop that has the best glazed donuts and breakfast sandwiches. We arrived mid-morning so pretty quiet but I expect the line can easily be out the door during rush hours. It threw me for a little bit of a loop that it?s CASH ONLY as I don?t generally carry much cash but it?s clearly stated on the wall by the register and they do have an ATM machine in the corner. It?s worth a trip, give it a try.

The owners and service are great. They even throw in a hand full of donut holes with each purchase. It?s cash only but there is an ATM inside.

Best donut shop in San Diego!! I placed an order for 7 dozen donuts for my classes just one hour before picking them up. The OB Donut crew had them ready to go as soon as I got there along with an extra breakfast sandwich for me! ???? They carried them out to my car and were just so kind and helpful overall. More importantly, my students raved about how delicious and fresh the donuts were!! I?m going back to OB donuts for all my future donut needs!

So delicious!! This is an amazingly little breakfast sandwich nook. Bagels are so delicious. Sizes are perfect. Everything is fresh... but keep in mind it's cash only. Which is great! Keeps costs low and they have an atm inside just in case. Coffee is very delicious also. Nothing crazy fancy but it is hot and a great brew. Perfect for a bite after chasing sunrise by the cliffs!

When Santa brought the family a trip to San Diego, we asked our 6 year old what was a must for vacation. She said we had to get donuts. Looking for local places instead of chains, we found OB near our Airbnb. It did not disappoint. Everything was good, cake, glazed, Fruit Loops, cinnamon roll, if we didn't want to try other places we would be getting it again. Still might!

Cash only but totally worth it and atm inside just in case. Must try are the bagel sandwich and the apple fritter. Also got a regular sugar donut and it's so fluffy and just fantastic yeasted donut. Surprisingly I came for the donuts and enjoyed the bagel sandwich the best.

Welcoming, fast, and excellent service. My daughter initially requested a sprinkle donut and after we paid, she requested a donut with no sprinkles. A real donut shop is hard to find where I am from. So this was good to see. I had a bagel sandwich that was really tasty and an assortment of donuts that were amazing. Come and eat here, you will not be disappointed.

I've been going to this donut shop since I was little & Im 25 now; so happy to see this place stay after so long! Honestly one of my favorite places to get donuts along with Christie's(?) Donuts across from the PL Library. It's a 5ish minute walk from my house & the staff if always so friendly & welcoming. The donuts are always good & always fresh. If you come early enough in the morning they'll give you couple free donut holes. Not much else I can say really but this place is just the best place to go for

Some of the best and freshest donuts you?ll ever have. If you are staying in OB and you are a morning lark, OB donuts is the place to go get some coffee and a treat while the rest of your group is still sleeping.

This is my favorite donut spot. I can put away about 3 donuts and not feel sick because they are so light. And they don?t skimp on the glaze (I always go with plain glazed). Friendly service too.

A perfect glazed donut! The donut was thick yet super fluffy. It had the perfect amount of glaze. Shop is very hole in the wall vibe. Reminds me of donut shops back in New England.

accidentally went here instead of cliffs cafe which is next door and i was not dissapointed! the bacon egg and cheese on a bagel was way better. so flavorful and delicious for only $6. they even gave us a free donut! hole in the wall family business vibes (it is cash only)

Simple donut shop, they have good breakfast sandwiches and amazing donuts. Everything I've bought came with a free backup donut because whatever you buy won't be enough. Get the old fashioned buttermilk bars, best in the world.

Same donut recipes for decades and they're all great. Try the chocolate old fashioned and the apple fritter. The interior hasn't changed ever but that's perfectly fine, I go here for the donuts and they deliver the goods every time.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Visited from The east coast and wanted a good breakfast spot near our rental in sunset cliffs and once I tried their egg and cheese croissant and their donuts, I went back every morning of my stay. Now I'm home and craving them. They definitely make everything there because the donuts and croissant were the best I've ever had and the sandwiches were so fresh, definitely farm fresh eggs. If In the area, don't think twice about trying this place!

The owner of OB Donuts is so nice! My friends are I received great customer service and recommendations on which food items he liked best. He even gave us a free donut so we could compare the different kinds and let him know which one was our favorite. We will definitely be coming back here when we are in the San Diego area again!

I've become a ' seeker' of the best sugar donut in San Diego. I found my # 1 and it's at OB Donut Shop!! It was so light and fluffy I couldn't open my mouth wide enough. I can't wait to try all the other donuts! The service and prices were great. With a small town kind of feel, I'll be back again and again!

Make sure you have cash for this cash-only grab-n-chill bagel & donut shop! A delicious breakfast won?t cost you an arm and a leg here. I chose an egg and cheese bagel and two glazed, was not disappointed! The bagel was super cheesy and yummy. The owner and his wife are super nice and all smiles. A cornerstone of the San Diego donut scene for sure!

I highly recommend all the Donuts here. big selection ! They are soft fluffy and super moist not dense! I went there 2 days in a row.... and I am not a usual donut person! Didn't realize it was cash only, so I so I got a donut and a ham/cheese croissant that totaled to $7, I then realized it was cash only, and I only had $5 on me, so I went with just the ham and cheese croissant, and payed. however, the lady behind the counter still let me have the donut for free. First time here. Slow service. Long line on a Saturday morning. Took more than 30 min to get a bagel with cream cheese and charged me $4.72 for a vita coconut water. Maybe better for donuts. Absolutely no frills at this place.

FANTASTIC donuts! I cannot explain how pillowy and delicious these donuts are. The glaze is also not overly/sickeningly sweet like many other places. Great customer service, too. Tip: bring cash, they do not accept cards.

Stumbled upon this place by accident, but we were lured in by the donuts and we weren?t disappointed when we ordered the breakfast bagels. Quick spot for good breakfast bagel and a donut. Very nice workers, threw in an extra sweet treat for my son.

This is a bustling, reliable neighborhood breakfast stop for me. I'm not a coffee drinker but I hear its good from a few folks who do. I love their hot chocolate (not too sweet) and always get the Nova lox bagel sandwich. Family friendly on weekends with just a few tables, including outdoor seating on sunny days. Call one day ahead to special order the chocolate croissants, a not so secret treat.

So good! We found out about OB Donuts from the good folks at OB Noodle House - it happens to be their parent's business. Just a few blocks away from the noodle house, we end up here almost around closing (5PM). The lady is very friendly and efficient. There is only about a quarter of the donuts left by the end of the day, but they are still tasty and the coffee complements the pastries well!

Best banana nut muffins around! Nuts through and through! My second go to item is their ham and cheese croissant. Their donuts are the best, love their chocolate covered devil's food. Great coffee selection but no foo foo drinks. Open very early, 5:30 or so.

Cash only, worth it. Soft, sweet and delicious. My son loved the strawberry w/sprinkles. Traditional selection, doesn't always have to be Voodoo Donuts. You even get the pink cardboard box. ?? Nice locals were chillin' outside.

My husband and I love this place! If you're in OB looking for a quick and cheap bite to eat for breakfast this is the spot. The OB Supreme Croissant is our favorite along with the cinnamon roll. It is cash only but don't worry there is an ATM in the corner.

This is the place to get the best donuts in OB! They also have amazing breakfast sandwiches! They're so big that I eat half for breakfast and save the other half for lunch! Hard working staff. Love their dad! If you're there early enough they comp you some donut holes :-)

Cash only, but good donuts and breakfast food. Croissant sandwhich I had was huge! Customer service didn't seem overly friendly, but I wouldn't say it was terrible. Perhaps they just don't smile or chitchat like the customer service I'm used to. Seating very limited and doesn't seem to be air conditioned inside (small tight patio seating), but good for grab n go. Variety of donuts and drinks available as well and atm on site when you don't have cash on you. Parking behind the building.

Some of the best doughnuts I've ever had! These doughnuts tasted so fresh and melted in your mouth. I was vacationing in Ocean Beach for the week and got these doughnuts 4 times. My only regret was not going a 5th!

Great donuts and amazing breakfast sandwiches. The chocolate cake donuts are most, which is rare. The buttermilk and old fashioned glazed are some of my fav. The coffee is good too.

OB Donuts is our local claim to fame for breakfast on the go or a short walk from the beach. Their Maple Bacon Bar w/ a coffee completes a full breakfast! The owner's always friendly attitude is a great way to start the day!

My favorite donut store in San Diego. A wide selection of pastries and muffins, along with everything bagels, sandwiches, and cold drinks. Very friendly staff. Closes at 2pm or when sold out, and that happens often.

The donuts are fine and all, but being cash-only is a huge negative. If you didn't bring the necessary funds, the cashier will direct you to the ATM in the corner that costs you $4. Suddenly, your $10 box of donuts will cost you $14, and it's not such a great deal.

If you live in OB this is one of the places that cares about you as a local. Very fair prices, great food, amazing owners. AND they are actually open for breakfast hours. Sadly, it had hard for find a place in town to grab breakfast at 7am.

Let's all take a moment to reflect on the good times we've had while murdering a box of these tasty, melt-in-your-mouth bits of heaven fashioned by the gods themselves. Some of the best classic donuts you can buy. Coffee is great and bagel sandwiches are like no other. I bet they buy their bagels from PL Bagels. Gotta love it when delicious businesses work together.

I really went for the coffee and ended up getting a scone instead of a bagel. The scones are fresh and perfect. Coffee is also very good. Donut holes are tasty too!

Not really a secret, is it? Some of the best donuts in town, and it's one of the only places you can get a cup of Kona coffee. Nice folks serving it up, too. Probably too small to sit at tables.
