Spent $35 on raw donuts and week old tasting coffee. We tried this place despite the reviews as we don?t mind paying more for quality. Well?we paid more but didn?t get that quality and the ordering was comical. I recently returned to Waco after six months and headed to Nightlight Donuts & Coffee to satisfy my donut craving. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. Omg!!!! This place was/is fantastic. I will ALWAYS stop in here and grab some of their donuts which are all made out of croissant dough!!! The staff was so sweet and had the best recommendations. Tried to give this place multiple chances, but I?m done. This was my first time at Nightlight Donut Cafe and I ordered the original and chocolate glazed donuts with a house coffee. The donut was pricey but the flavors were undeniably good. My donuts had a croissant texture and I was still very pleased. If you like donuts stop by and indulge a little. The young lady Ms. Stephanie was pleasant and gave great customer service. Wow! My son took me by here today. Truthfully, I was not expecting the level of wonderful that these donuts really are. I would describe them as ?artisanal? made and they are almost a work of art. Went on 01-12-25 at 1:30pm and the service was horrible. They were out of ice tea and lemonade and the worker just sat down and watched her phone. Nightlight used to be amazing but not anymore. Since it sold the quality of everything has really gone downhill. You used to get your donuts fresh and warm. Now, they are cold and stale, but still way more expensive than anything else in town. It?s not worth it! I just got my money back and left.

My first time trying Nighlight! I ordered their flavor of the month donut, which was pina colada! Pina colada tasted like a glazed donut and the center had the explosion of pineapple! So these are cronuts (croissant-doughnut). They are tasty for sure. If you?re thinking it?s a regular donut experience then you?ll be surprised to see the price at $3 per donut. I've never had a croissant donut (or kolache) before, but holy cow! They are amazing and I'm officially obsessed! We got the sea salt caramel donut, the blueberry donut, and a turkey/pepper jack kolache. Everything is made with a croissant base and it is all delicious! I have always been a die hard Shipley's fan but since my co-worker introduced me to Nightlight, they are my new favorite donut shop. Nice staff, but the food was not good. They did not have any donuts when I went, so I opted for holes instead. The original glaze tasted like strawberry cake. There was an insane amount of cinnamon and sugar on the holes that you had to drink after each bite. The holes are actually giant knots. If you?re looking for a classic donut, this is not the place.

Nightlight has some of the best croissant donuts (cronuts, if you prefer that word) I've gotten the pleasure to try. Theyre soft, and not overly sweet. I prefer croissant donuts, as they're a lighter option than the common cake donuts. I love that there are seasonal flavors, alongside a very solid permanent menu. Nice locally-owned doughnut shop that's open into the night. The croissant-donuts are tasty, but do cost more than standard donuts. I've only had one thing from their coffee bar, but it was good. The online ordering seemed to work well too, which isn't always the case with local places.

This is the second time I've given this place a try. I've been severely underwhelmed both times, unfortunately. Today I tried the Salted Caramel donut which is normally a flavor combination I absolutely adore. This donut essentially just tastes like chocolate. I didn't get anything close to salt or caramel. My 10 year old had the chocolate donut with sprinkles and he enjoyed it. But let's face it, I could have paid half as much and been twice as happy.

A different take that elevates a normal donut to a great tasting experience. Friendly people too which is great for customer service. The loyalty program is awesome as I had 2 bags of donut holes which is 10 huge donut holes and 2 fruity pebble donuts for 9$.
