NC Jelly Donuts

Stopped in here on my way to Greensboro and these Donuts were honestly freaking amazing. I haven't had a real GOOD donut in so long I forgot how good they can taste. They were super moist, and huge! I got here around 11 and everything still tasted super fresh and not stale in the slightest. The filled donut I got had SO MUCH filling in it. They do not skimp here! We loved the donuts we bought here. So many varieties and I love that you can choose a filling to go with your chosen donut. Stay was attentive. It was busy when we stopped in but they are organized. The donuts tasted super fresh! Well worth the drive.

Wow the freshest donut ?? I had in 10 years. Don't even bother going to the Dunkin donuts store on the street. Hand made from scratch. But when they run out that's it for the day.... Custom filled available too, come on and get your fat pill. It's worth it with a fresh cup of coffee ???

When we come to Eastern NC, my husband insists on stopping here every time. He is an apple fritter connoisseur. He says NC Jelly makes the best. He loves the ones with pecans. It's best to get there early. They sell out fast. On Saturday mornings, be prepared to wait in a line, but it moves fairly quickly. Everything we have ordered has always been good and fresh.

I was in the area and decided to try it out for the first time and they did not disappoint. It was around 6:30AM and they already had a line inside the shop. The donuts were fresh, airy and not too dense. I like that you can choose your own filling. The maple bacon and blueberry is a must try!!

Some Yelp survey came out in May listing the top 50 donut places in the US, with 3 in NC. This was not one of them, which seems inane to me. This was my first time in & they were out of a lot, I'm not surprised cause they had constant traffic in. The donuts are sooooo good & moist! They also can fill the donuts with the filling of your choice. I opted for the red velvet, glazed & apple fritter all 3 was delicious I paid 4.75 with tax. I'll definitely be back!

Best Donuts I ever had...right next to Dunkin Donuts in Mebane NC,but far better in quality and wide choices to customise from. Friendly staff. Often ran out of donuts before closing time due to their popularity. Easy to reach and plenty of free car parking in front of the shop.

Drove to Mebane for the day for business and found this local gem. Some of the best donuts ever! You can custom fill them plus they have both cake and yeast donuts. Plenty of parking.

This place may just have the best donuts in North Carolina! I very much enjoy Duck Donuts when I want a cake donut, but when I want a raised donut, this is definitely the place to get them! You can choose what kind of filling you want in your donut, and they stuff it right as you order it. Highly recommend!!

Giving 2 stars because the donuts are very good. But I preordered them a week before an event and paid for them. When I went back the following week to pick them up, I was told they had no order and was given attitude. Finally, someone remembered me and the order, and I had to drive to the Burlington location to pick up some extra donuts they had. NC Jelly Donuts has the absolute best donuts, donut holes, and apple fritters. Their donut holes are around $2/dozen, and are big and so good it's hard to describe. If you've never been, you need to go. I'm not kidding about the apple fritters. Unless you hate apples and happiness you owe it to yourself to try one.

You order your donuts and then choose which filling they should put in each donut. Last time I was there, the filling choices were: apple, custard, strawberry, choc, lemon, raspberry, buttercream. They also have a few things that are not intended to be filled, like fritters. (I asked them to fill the cinnamon rolls, which was actually quite good, IMHO!) BEWARE! When they run out of donuts, about noon, they close the shop. Get there early!

By far the BEST donut shop... their prices are affordable. The donut is almost double an average size donut.. and beyond delicious. I always stop at this donut shop, when I'm in town. Best donuts hands down!!!! But!!! EVERY SINGLE DAY they close early because they run out of donuts!!! If you post your hours being from 6 am-6 pm make enough donuts to serve to your customers until 6pm or change your hours!!! I am so frustrated!!! When do you actually close?? I work at a hospital and a family member brought our staff doughnuts from here. They were absolutely incredible. I'm mad they're 2 hours away! Better than Krispy creme in my opinion. If you guys ever start a doughnut truck please come to Baptist hospital in Winston Salem!

Don't tell me you have a favorite donut place until you've tried NC Jelly Donuts. Sure, it's a strange name but they produce the best FILLED donuts anywhere. They are fresh and practically exploding. They fill the donuts by request and right in front of you when ordering in store. They do have other baked goods there too but the filled are out of this world.
