This was my first time trying a donut from this bakery. I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of donuts and cake slices. They offered traditional flavors, and unique ones as well. The donuts were fresh! They did however taste different from other donut chains. The donuts tasted homemade. Prices are fair. I did however take a point away due to the staff having expired chocolate cake slices from 2/24! I was really looking forward to trying the cake. Ordered gluten free doughnuts for my mom for Mother?s Day. Asked for ?Happy Moms Day? doughnuts with floral and pastel. Not super happy with the decoration since I placed my order a week in advance, but I should?ve been more specific. Had a GrubHub pickup order at Grateful Donuts this afternoon. I've never been here before, so I didn't know what to expect. Was created by the owner when I arrived it was very friendly and helpful. He gave me the order then he let me know that he put extra doughnuts in the box with the half dozen mixed donut order. Definitely impressed me that he would give extra doughnuts to his customers when most places are barely giving you enough.

Cute little bakery shop with a variety of delicious doughnuts as well as cakes. I placed an order for a spiderman cake for my son & grabbed a box of assorted doughnuts on the way out. There were so many yummy flavors to choose from. So far my favorites are the carrot cake, fruity pebbles & maple doughnuts. The staff was friendly & the treats were delicious. 10/10 recommend trying out this little spot!

We ordered 8 dozen custom cupcakes for my baby shower from this shop. The pictures for reference that were given were realistic looking flowers. We picked them up the day before my baby shower and the cupcakes were not what was ordered at all. Even the colors were wrong. They are so messy, Walmart could have done a better job. Love this place. Have been multiple times and they are always kind. The guys at work love the donuts and get excited every time I bring them. Just tonight we got there a minute before they closed(not knowing). I told them they didn't have to go out of their way to make us a coffee since we were so late. I was told "It was no problem and it was perfectly okay." Just feel like service like this should be recognized.

I?m disabled and ordered through DoorDash. When I received my order part of it was left off. Called Monita?s and they are saying it was cancelled and refunded through DoorDash. DoorDash says call Monita?s. If I had my own business I would never tell a customer they are just out the money. Will never try this place again and will make sure everyone in Gardendale knows not to buy from this place.

WOW! I don't know how long their stuff was out when i got there, but it couldn't have been long at all! Of course i got there after noon, so a lot of options were sold out ( That's the norm for any bakery imo), so I got their strawberry cake donut and horn option. This was my first visit to Grateful Donuts. The owner was so nice and hospitable. I got home with my assorted box of donuts and started with the donut holes and apple fritter first. They have traditional favorites like apple and peach fritters, I am a fritter person and these are top notch...and they have daily creations always doing something new...coffee bar is great especially if you like your coffee strong the espresso is the way to go...I had the JAMAICA ME CRAZY blend...most of all it?s just a fun place to drop in because the staff are fun people to talk with and just good people!! I ordered a cake from here via Facebook Messenger. The owner responded very quickly to each of my messages! I think I gave a week advance for the order and in store it's posted that she needs at least 24hrs. I was required to pay for the entire cake up-front which wasn't much. Her quote was so reasonable. These folks are awesome! Today they had a major hiccup with some staff that called in but they were able to handle the order of 5 dozen assorted doughnuts with only a small delay. The staff in our office loves them and so do my customers. I think they do a great job there and they know your name when you come in to buy from them...not something that many places do anymore but they do and it's worth it.

Monitas?s Bakery is a great addition to Gardendale. Over the last few months, I have seen a transition from the previous bakery to an updated and cleaner version at Monita?s. It is so convenient to have a donut shop and bakery so close to home. The owners are wonderful. He even said call me anytime with special requests and we will be happy to accommodate. Definitely worth a visit and return visits for any of your bakery needs!

Found Monita's on line this morning and when I saw all those donutes I decided to look her up. Easy to find on Main St. just look for a small white and pink building. They have a great selection of donutes and other baked goods and the coffee was great as well. Nicely appointed store with super friendly owner and co-worker. If you don't go your just depriving yourself of some tasty donutes and fritters. I will be back ladies count on it.

The cookies and cream doughnuts were dry and I ordered regular cream filled donuts and didn't know they filled them with white icing not actual cream so imagine biting into something that's slathered in chocolate icing only to be met with a rediculos amount of white icing definitely wasn't worth the 16 dollars for the dozen
