I always notice this shop when I drove by, but it was always closed. I was being curious, and found out that this donut shop only opens a few hours a day. Out of curiosity I stopped by around 6am, and there were 4 people (including myself) getting donuts. The owner was very friendly, and he asked what brought me here. I told him that I was curious about the donut, and his hours interested me. A lady behind me recommended me to try their apple fritter, and I got it. The owner shared the story about this donu

The donuts were very doughy. I wasn't such a big fan. The person behind the counter had a really nice attitude, was funny and kind but unfortunately I don't think I'll be coming back. On the bright side. For $20 dollars a dozen donuts... they are massive but you may have to microwave them a bit to get a better taste.

Owner is super nice and affable. He sold out an hour before I came but still offered to make a new batch. Bc he is so beloved he is constantly chatting with customers (better not to go if you?re in a rush). I don?t like apple fritters and truly the best I?ve ever had. Dough is lightly fried. Icing is light and not too sweet. Apples were al dente and not mushy. You gotta go early bc they easily sell out two hours before closing.

Passed by Monarch Donuts dozens of times without giving it a second thought. Some good press about the apple fritter and, more importantly, the good works of the owner moved us to stop by. We were not disappointed. The fritter is light, not overly sweet, and delicious. Moreover, Jonathan the owner is a humble, warm, and welcoming man. He truly made our day. Thank you, Jonathan.

I am staying at a hotel nearby and a couple times I had walked by The Donut Shop but never at the time that it was opened. The owner always gets everyone with respect, kindness, and friendliness. He makes THE best apple fritters! The doughnuts are soft and perfect... and not to mention, delicious! It's in a very unlikely area, but that makes it even better. His French vanilla cappuccino is perfection! Oh, and it's cash only. So make sure to stop by the bank beforehand, like I did!!

Great, classic donuts and friendly service, but make sure to get there early. If you're looking for new-school donuts with colorful glazes and unusual toppings this isn't the donut shop for you. If you want an apple fritter, buttermilk bar, long john, or standard glazed you likely won't be disappointed. The only standard donut type that might not satisfy is the jelly. The jelly donuts here are a sandwich - donut cut in half with jelly holding the halves together. Not bad, but maybe not what you want.

What a morning i had today. I got up from bed had bad sleep and was rushing to work and then i forgot i promised my boys some doughnuts i had to stop by on my way. He had a great energy i don?t know his name but he seemed so energetic and his energy made me feel good!! You guys have to try this place. The donuts are amazing and the owner was so nice. I was walking by and I was lucky enough to stop. I had gone here once before a few years ago and wasn't impressed. I came back recently on a whim and wow wee what a difference! These are some really delicious donuts with a fresh taste. Mario and I found this jem of jems. We were waiting for Goldstein's to open we ran across Monarch donuts.The BEST donuts I have ever eaten. They were delicious, delectable and as promised delicate fluffy with just perfect lite crunch.
