Heard about this place and glad I made a little trip to visit. Great old school New York vibe, friendly staff, and donuts more than lived up to the hype! Got a chocolate coconut cake donut, then a classic maple glaze & coffee roll. All of them were awesome, but I am particularly fond of coffee rolls and this one was beyond good! Generous amounts of cinnamon sugar in between the layers, and perfect dunked in a black coffee. ????
Just as good as Peter Pan Donuts (but so much more UNDERRATED!). These donuts are delicious!! Crispy outside and incredible flavors. The Blueberry Glaze was incredibly blueberry-y and the texture of the crisp outside was sheer perfection. There?s nothing better than a classic donut and this place does it right!
Old school donut shop with a twist. I got two cake donuts - sour cream and pistachio. The pistachio was very good with a nice pistachio flavor. There was also a rose cream flavored donut, so definite Middle Eastern flavor notes for some donuts. If I am in the neighborhood, I would stop by for a pistachio donut, but not sure I'd go out of my way to make a visit.
Some of the best, truly classic donuts you?ll have anywhere in NYC. I always get a red velvet cake donut, but the pistachio cake, rainbow cake, and simple glazed and crullers are also fantastic. Still gotta try the Oreo cake donut and the new Dubai Chocolate donut!
Finally got around to Moe's and it went above my expectations. Very cozy inside, super nice staff, amazing donuts ...especially the knafeh pistachio donut, dossaint, creme brulee...they were all delicious. The cheesecake donut is very sweet while the pistachio was milder than expected. Definitely coming back!
Tried a bunch of their donuts recently. My favorite was the chocolate chip cake donut, excellent crusty glaze and nice morsels of chocolate chips inside. The glazed yeast donuts were good as well, soft and fresh, and not too dense. The cruller with cream inside and on the top was fresh, but this along with some of the others were overly sweet. I would have enjoyed these donuts more had they had less sugar.
We traveled from the Bronx for this place! The customer service was incredible. So nice and sweet and helpful. We got lots of different donuts but I tried the Dubai chocolate one and it was the best donut I've EVER had! And we went right before closing. Tasted fresh and soft. Had plenty of the Dubai chocolate topping. Just awesome. Would for sure go back!
I want to love it but it?s just okay. Definitely a lot of hype. They?re not too sweet which is good and a lot of choices. I was looking for something fresh and soft, soft like Krispy cr?me but their dough is closer to Dunkin and a bit stale.
Without hyperbole the best donut shop in New York City. The atmosphere is very lowkey and welcoming, and the donuts are far and away the greatest you?ll find in the city. The maple frosted is my personal favorite; apple spice cake is second. It?s very non-pretentious and has a family run energy. Couldn?t recommend enough, I have to go anytime I?m in town.
Got the pistachio donut but it?s not something I?d go out of my way to get. The flavor was good.
They sold me a large cup of cafe with a broken bottom, the caffe spilled all over in my bike bag, and made the backed stuff I purchased soaking wet and I had to throw it away. As I showed this pictures of the disaster to the worker, he pretended he doesn?t speaks English and wouldn?t want to reimburse me for this. This place is not very friendly and I didn?t had a clean impression of the service personnel. Just gross. Leaving there every day $6-10, they could have gave me a new cafe and a new Apple fritter.
Great place! I always get mad at myself for not coming here more often. The food is delicious and always very fresh. I love the sausage egg and cheese - the sausage is amazing (a longaniza maybe???). The blueberry cake donut is also one of the best for those like me who its the only kind of donut i go for. I like to pop in for breakfast and read at the counter - its never too packed which is a huge plus for me. Can?t recommend enough.
Moe?s Doughs is it. I don?t want to meet anyone who reviewed this spot less than a 5. All star donuts, pick your favorite. Blueberry cake, sour cream are classics. But don?t forget the apple fritter. I don?t even like apples and it?s the best fritter I?ve ever had. To say nothing of the a1 seasonal murals on the shop storefront. Just walk in
A Halal donut shop in Brooklyn?! Lemme put you on! I'm telling you I ran after I heard that they reopened again. That Samoa donut has been on my mind all year long. They run out pretty fast so head over early! Moe's Doughs has a great combination of classics and experiments. You can never go wrong here. They also serve halal breakfast sandwiches and of course the infamous halal maple bacon donut. I had the following and you should try it as well: Caramel Cheesecake, Samoa, Snickers , Rocky Road, Oreo Cake,
Love these donuts! When I get a craving for a donut I gotta go to Moe?s! Today I tried the Maple bacon donut and got a box full of donuts for my office party later. $15. Affordable and high vibrational. Also they accept debit and credit card with no minimum and tap.
Pretty good donuts. I got Pistachio donut and Red Velvet one; both were good. They are sweet, nicely baked, and have somewhat like? biscuity texture? Biscuity or cakey. Cost a reasonable prices too, considering the area. Even though I got them in the end of the day they still tasted ???? even tho not as fresh. Staff was nice and quick too. Recommend!
Went there for donuts and grabbed a blueberry, pistachio, and chocolate chip. Found them all to be much better than the chain donuts and at 3$ not a bad price.
Every flavour was divine! we ate them all before taking pics that?s how good they were but I got a pic of this banana cake donut. The pistachio, the apple spice and the Boston creme were delicious! The owners are also so friendly! Do not miss out on these donuts
I?m usually not a donut person but Moe?s donuts are fantastic. We got the pistachio one and it was another level for what a donut can be, with a Middle Eastern touch.
It?s a solid doughnut but I though it was a little dry and didn?t have a particularly strong taste of chocolate. But for $2 it?s a hefty size
If I could I would give Moe's six stars just for their apple fritters, they're huge and delicious. They make a lot of other great donuts, too, but that fritter is **chefkiss
Real, solid donut/doughnut shop. They kept bringing out the fresh ones from the back. I tried three (3) old fashioned cake donuts. A blueberry, a pistachio, and a coconut. They were all delicious. Not too sweet, not too cakey, great texture, and just the right amount of toppings. Looking forward to trying more.
Not my type of donut I see there are other great reviews but for me these donuts are not good they are dry and the way it is sweetened is just not for me. Everyone?s pictures of them are exactly how they look. My husband came home with them and was definitely disappointed and he has a big sweet tooth.
Donuts served fresh all day. Friendly service, bright and clean establishment. We ordered a dozen, and it was so hard to choose! All of them had distinct flavor with no aftertaste. Hearty yet not heavy. My favorite is the toasted coconut but the chocolate sprinkle is fantastic too. We will be back!
Skip the line at Peter Pan and go here. Its more of a locals spot, a few short blocks off the over-beaten path of Manhattan Ave where tourists think they're still in Williamsburg. Moe's offers tons of unique options plus the classics. There's never a wait and the prices are the same as PP. Plus, Moe's takes credit cards and they didn't put up that lame "Blue Lives Matter" flag like PP did last year.
I LOVE THIS PLACE. The donuts are sooo good!!! My one problem is that once i bought some donuts and one of them was the pistachio and they gave me a differ t one when the pistachio was there? But it?s fine. At least their yummy??
Moe?s has delicious doughnuts! A very classic, old school doughnut shop vibe. Definitely try the Dossant - the doughnut/croissant shaped like a croissant - it?s wonderful! Also, the blueberry and rainbow cake doughnuts are tasty. The apple fritter is classic, so large and very good! They always have a large selection and are constantly making more, so it?s fun to go back and try new flavors.
Look, they definitely make the donuts fresh, but there's an orange citrus hint to the honey glaze. Not my cup of glaze. The only pastry I liked was the cinnamon roll. Would I return? Probably not.
Cute little doughnut spot, wanted to give it a try for awhile. It?s good, I liked the blueberry jam doughnut better than the chocolate chip glazed but to be fair both delicately delicious.
So hard to rate but I decided to give 5 stars for their regular donut! I got one Bavarian cream donut and one pistachio cake. ?Their donut dough is amazing! It is so so so soft and chewy when you bite and pull it apart. ??However, the cake one is normal, not that moist and soft. Also, the oil smell is strong which makes the donut a little bit greasy.
Atmosphere/layout *Six seat counter; wall counter with stools Service: Quick Food/drink *Glazed donut - good with a touch of lemon taste *Sour Cream Cake donut - solid
Be careful when buying. THEY SELL SPOILED DONUTS!!! We bought tons of donuts here and we tried one in the store and it tasted like spoiled food! We tried to return the last 3 that the cashier got from the counter display they won?t refund or give us the new ones they took out from the kitchen. Tried to explain properly to the cashier and guy from the kitchen and they don?t want to accept the spoiled donuts they sold us and least give us fresh donuts.
Best donuts in Greenpoint. Such a wide variety of flavors. Fresh out of the oven or end of day, they're just as good. I love the sausage, egg and cheese bagel. Real sausages, not a patty and the coffee is decent too.
Got here late but still had the last cheesecake caramel. It is very tasty, great balance between tender donut and chewy caramel, and between the sweetness of the cream and saltiness of cheese powder and added salt. I knew there is an awesome donut place in the area because my coworker brought some to work 5 yrs ago. 4 yrs ago I tried to find the place and went to Peter Pan which turned out to be very disappointed. I think Moe is the place I look for.
Legit if you don't wanna deal with the crowds of Peter pans for the same exact quality of doughnut you will be thrilled to come here. The staff is the most kind and chill people ever and super sweet ??
Omg the best donuts!!!! Super fresh and yummy and sooooooo inexpensive! Total old school Local place and the croissants are amazing too!!!
These donuts are okay but.. I asked for a pistachio and the staff gave me a blueberry instead I also got a red colored donut which is the staff said it?s red velvet but this one didn?t taste like red velvet, I think it?s raspberry or Rose and I didn?t like its taste :( overall disappointing
Superb donuts. Fun variety. Excellent coffee. Prices right. Pleasant people. We'll be back. I don't want to spoil the surprise, but it's also the most odd donut I've run across.
The donuts are decadent. They are sure to satisfy your sweet craving with their wide variety of desserts.
I live across the border in distant lands (Astoria), so I've only ordered delivery, and I feel guilty when I do, because it is further than I like to make delivery people trek. But I tip well, and the doughnuts are amazing. Cheaper than [insert nationally-known brand here] and far, far better! The pistachio donut is its own food group. Run, don't walk! Or, you know, get delivery.
Donuts way too sweet!!!! I ate apple fritter my teeth hurt for 3 days , i never felt ever in my life such a discomfort of acid eating my teeth it?s was so powerful I just took 3 bites, and just threw the rest away, if you got teeth of steel enjoy! But you can?t be human eating these donuts and not experiencing what I just explain above
CAN YOU PLZ TELL THE SERVER TO WEAR GLOVES. I DONT WANT SOMEONE PICKING UP MY FOOD IN FRONT OF ME WITH NO GLOVES ON. Also, THE NEW GUY IS RUDE. He gets an attitude if you want to change anything or ask questions. You visibly see him getting upset. He need a mask too, his mouth is nasty looking. FOOD-100% better than Peter Pans. Moes has gone through a lot of changes. The young guy and girl no longer works there, moe was closed for a while, I was devastated. It has reopened but plz be more clean. And
Delicious donuts!!! Super fresh and TONS of frosting if you order the white sprinkle one ???? I also heard the maple donuts were great as well!!
I found a small roach or an ant in my doughnut. Would not recommend. The owner also said she sometimes makes the doughnuts with ants for extra protein ??
Great food, great prices. They even take cards. Had the white chocolate one. Sensational. Will be back v soon.
Hands down the best donut shoppe in nyc. I frequently trek here when my boyfriend and i are craving donuts. When Peter pan didnt have french cruellers, Moe's was serving them up. Personally i think Moe's donuts are a bit better than Peter Pan's. Plus the fact that they aren't as busy as Peter pans and they take credit, it's a win for me. It's a small 2 man operation with heavy burden on Moe the baker/owner, so show these guys some love and support. I will say, I went at 7am for donuts on a Friday, but they
Huge selection of traditional and more exotic flavors, good prices, and friendly service. Prices are low, to boot. We got the bavarian cream volcano (kind of an old fashioned / buttermilk bar hybrid with extra custard) and it was dense and rich and delicious. Great spot!
Good Pistachio and Sour Cream donuts. But way too sweet. Plus, pistachio broke in pieces after two bites. Why? ????? I?ve never seen a donut do that.
solid local donuts. i prefer cake donuts. the maple was poppin and the sour cream is probably the best i've had in the city. they broke in my bag but still tasted great
This place is a little gem in Greenpoint. I love the pistachio donut and the old fashioned glazed.
The pistachio cake donut wasn't too sweet and had the flavor I expected in any pistachio based pasteries. It had the appropriate color for its area of origin (Greenpoint, Brooklyn).
If every neighborhood had itself a Moe and his doughnuts, coffee and grilled food the quality of life in NYC would skyrocket!
Donuts are good. The classic was slightly dry. The dough was better on the ones with toppings but those can be a bit too sweet sometimes. Still a solid donut.
Incredible donut shop by a former employee of Peter Pan Donuts. Never a line and killer coffee. Come here instead of Peter Pan Donuts honestly.
After buying thousands of donuts from them, I can assure you Moe's dough is the BEST in NYC
Incredible pistachio donuts and the other cake donuts are excellent too. Person at the counter did NOT want to be there though haha. Will return for the pistachio donuts!!
First time at this shop. I saw donuts in the window and had to try them. I was there in the afternoon, the donuts were pretty stale. Not as fresh as morning, is my guess, but still pretty crisp and crusty on the outside and soft cake inside.
Moe?s Doughs are tough to resist on my walk home every day! I think their donuts are more like cake compared to Peter Pan?s donuts which remind me of a pastry. The best ones from here are the apple fritter, pistachio, blueberry and the chocolate coconut. You will not be disappointed by the quality and taste!
Amazing doughnuts. My favorite was the Cinnamon Roll. You can really taste the quality ingredients. Definitely recommend.
Let me tell you: these donuts are amazing. Diverse selection of original donuts, all of which taste great. They are freshly baked in the morning when they taste especially delightful. Their inventory is usually emptied by 5:00, a trademark of their popularity.
The best in BK, arrive early and be blessed with warm doughnuts that taste like love and feel like pillows in your mouth. Toasted coconut and honey dip are my favorites. There are so many options; fortunately, you can't go wrong. ??
We ordered 2,600 assorted donuts from Moe's Doughs in Ramadan. Ramadan is a month of fasting and giving back. The entire staff of Moe's dough was fasting while they prepped our order + a few other big orders that came in. They gave us a phenomenal deal, made delicious donuts and the service was superb. You would think that after not eating from sunrise to sunset and then make what I'd assume is 5k+ donuts you would get hangry but nope. I've always been a huge fan and will always be a returning customer!
Most of the donuts are too sweet for me but I realize that?s a personal preference. They do have some interesting offerings ? today I saw they had a cannoli donut. I mostly come here for the apple fritters since they?re HUGE and a really good deal. Blueberry cake donuts are also good.
Looks better on tiktok, taste is okay nothing special, apple fritter is way too sweet and the maple bacon has a unique taste.
Not consistent with the donut variety. Went there two different week day mornings about 8a and they did not have the great offerings. So sad.
Apple fritter is amazing. Glazed croissant amazing!! Don't let looks food you these donuts slap!
Some of the best donuts in the city, Peter Pan gets all the attention but this spot is right up there.
We were so excited to go there. My son ordered a cheeseburger and got food poisoning from it. Terrible experience. The cashier was very disorganized didn?t let me make the full order. He was serving new incomers. ?! Like why? Please do not order burgers from that place!!! We won?t be coming back there EVER!
I find the product to be decent but the service sucks. I've patronized 3 times total , as the place is in my route to work. I usually take another way, but the G is out right now so I frequent that block. I stop in and the Hispanic gentleman behind the counter is ALWAYS unfriendly. Always. Nothing has happened to cause it and I only ever place my order, pay and exit. I wont patronize at the establishment again due to the poor service, but the donuts are decent. Also, today I arrived to work, only to discove
Stopped in to try the rainbow cake donut and wasn't disappointed. Nice crisp glazed exterior and a colorful explosion of cakiness on the inside. Not bad for $2. Will absolutely be back.
Muffin had a healthy serving of what I believe was Blueberry, and was only 2.25! The top was a bit sweeter than the bottom, which you may like if you have a sweet tooth The chocolate donut was a bit too sweet for me, and not as chocolate-y as I hoped for
All the doughnuts and pastries are incredible. The star of the show is the apple fritter.
Greatest donuts of all time. Cronuts are stellar
The best donuts in town. Possibly even Brooklyn. Maybe even the entire 5 boroughs. Definitely better than anywhere is Staten Island.
I love the donuts here Very unique I ordered from them twice and would really recommend the kunafe donuts Those were so good
I have to admit, even though I'm not a fan of donuts, I found Moe's to be absolutely delicious! The donuts are like cake but not as dense, which I really appreciate. I had the pleasure of trying the old fashioned, red velvet, dulce de leche, orange, and pistachio donuts. I enjoyed all of them, although I found the dulce de leche a bit too sweet for my taste - but then again, I understand it's supposed to be sweet. One more thing that really stood out to me was the fact that they accept credit cards. It ma
Good donuts, good prices. Delivery is also amazingly fast. I'm a donut conosciour, so its not in my top 3 , but they are good nonetheless
Better than Peter pans. Almost no line. A lot of cool stuff here. Can't wait to go back. I love this place.
Terrible food. Order bacon egg and cheese. It was so bad. I never thought a simple bacon egg cheese could be so disgusting. Also ordered a donut and never got it. Cappuccino?s taste was like the ones you get at the deli machine super sweet and too much milk. Just terrible!!! No napkins or utensils plus nothing I asked to be done was performed. So disappointing!!!
The original baker from Peter Pan opened his own donut shop about a decade ago, and its superb! The donuts are rich and sweet without being overwhelming & they offer truly unique flavors like pistachio. The owner still mans the counter and is very friendly!
Idk what it?s like in the actual store but alot of places have this delivered to your gentrified spot to pay more and I like supporting local business ? Blueberry cake donut - best you?ll ever have - I think they candy fresh bluebs. This salted caramel yeast donut just changed my life. Back story: a a long friend of mine had a stroke and she just f Kept begging for donuts and now I wish I got to feed her these ??
His restaurant is so good!! All the doughnuts are unique in their own way and it makes it perfect to be in!!
A good place for doughnuts, especially if you like cake doughnuts. I thought their coolest doughnut was their doughnoli (doughnut + cannoli). I have had their rainbow doughnut on another occassion. It was pretty interesting.
cool little donut counter and I do recommend you go in to try the pistachio doughnut but my problem with it is it?s a cake doughnut and you don?t know that until you buy into it but I will say it?s a very good well put together and moist cake doughnut if nothing else. Nice subtle real pistachio flavor and worth the trip, not the best donuts in Brooklyn by a long shot
Great quality. As good as Peter Pan Donuts. They can improve sitting area and atmosphere though. Maybe some music ??
Absolutely scrumptious donuts. Always fresh. Great selection but it?s best to come early. The environment is very relaxed and unpretentious. I love Moe?s Doughs! ?? As for the Peter Pan comparison, I think they?re both on the same level. Personally I like Moe?s honey glazed better but it?s just personal preference. They?re both really good. I still choose Moe?s every time though.
The best donuts/doughnuts so far: light, the right amount of sweet and deliciously more-ish? with a special bravo for the french cruller: amazing
