I am not not a big mochi donut eater - my wife and daughter are. BUT I have to say MoDo mochi donuts are delicious. In particular, their donuts can easily pinched apart so you can enjoy one round 'bump' at a time.

Cute place for a quick snack. Love that the dohnuts are made to order! The staff was amazing and flavors really hit the spot. Definitely a spot worth trying!

If you like fresh hot mochi donuts Modo Hawaii is good for it. There are no pre-made donuts on display for sale. When you order the staff will make and dip fresh hot mochi donuts for your order. I like that they're not too sweet. You can also buy drinks, ice cream and poke bowls. Just make sure you bring some wet wipes as the donuts can get messy to eat from the icing but still really tasty.

If you like mochi donuts, I don't think you need to try these unless you are trying to catch them all. The dough of the mochi donuts are all the same so you are simply paying for different glazes. Now, those I find to taste quite similar but I don't have the most refined taste buds. But I did notice the texture of the icing to be more sticky than solid. I recently visited Modo Hawaii in San Jose, and the donuts were absolutely delicious! They are made fresh to order, so you have to wait about 5 minutes, but it's definitely worth it. Melt in your mouth best mochi donuts I?ve had! I?ve never had ones that were straight out of the fryer but that?s how I got them here and they were so freaking good!! The donuts are off the charts! Particularly, the lilkoi flavored donut was just the right sweetness with a little fruity tang on the glaze. Their price list says $23 for a dozen but during the promo, they're charging individual donut pricing even if you purchase a dozen. So instead of $20.7 (10% off $23), you'll be charged $21.6 per dozen which is $1 less saving per dozen. I tried to escalate to the manager but they said there's no one they can escalate to and just ask if I want to cancel the transaction instead.
