Customer Reviews

As a longtime fan of Dot & Dough and later Mochi Lion, it truly pains me to write this review, especially because I have a great deal of respect for one of the co-owners, Eric. However, I feel it?s important to be honest in the hopes that it encourages improvement. One of the ongoing issues I?ve noticed is the incredibly high staff turnover, which may be why I rarely see the same employee twice. This likely contributes to inconsistencies in both food and drink preparation. For example, on my last visit, I

I got the potato style half and half corn dog and a chocolate mochi donut with sprinkles. The corn dog was good and gave me one of the most insane cheese pulls of my life. Where it loses some points for me is where I forgot to get or ask for condiments, and I did not get reminded to take them. One could say it's my fault, but ultimately, I would have liked to have some ketchup, mustard, and/or relish to enjoy my salty treat. The doughnut was really good! The dough is not too much of anything and the frostin

Just shared the best first time experience here today. The donuts were absolutely taste ?? I tried Milk & Cereal. A cute flavorful warm fresh donut with a nice crunch. Definitely 10/10 ?? Lovely and polite customer service. Would come back again FOR SURE!!!

Decided to try this place finally. We usually go next-door to scoops and tap but we thought why not try this place out! Made to order fresh. We tried one of their best sellers, the rainbow taro. It?s very different than a doughnut. It is made with rice flour. It?s fresh and hot ! It has a nice chewy texture ! That?s why it?s best to eat it fresh ! It only took a few minutes, but it was good - different than a donut but still good ! I would come back and try different flavors??

Shoutout to Mark at Mochi Lion for recommending such an amazing food. Their suggestion was spot on, and the flavor was absolutely perfect. Great service and great taste can?t wait to come back for more!

I am glad there is a Dot and Dough that opened a lot closer to home than the one in Pasadena. Although I am not quite so sure it is a good thing. Mochi donuts are so, so good and addicting. Soft and chewy on the inside. Don?t even talk about the malasadas? Heavenly. I am just speechless. I love the Caramel Macchiato and the Belgian Chocolate filled malasada. This is by far one of my shortest reviews but the 5 stars should say it all. Service was nice and friendly too?! Perfect combo, imho.

Trust me when I see this, this will probably be one of the best donuts you?ll ever eat. It is unorthodox because it is made out of mochi, but that?s what makes it so special. When eating a regular doughnut, it feels very heavy, but with these every single bite feels light and airy. Each bump of the donut acts as a little munchkin for every bite. The texture is silky and sweet and is the perfect cheat snack lol. Also don?t forget to support local businesses!! This is a 10/10 treat

I?ll start off with the good but am frustrated. We had a single doughnut, it was good enough obviously better when fresh but good. Decoration was cute. Now the part I?m frustrated about is how I didn?t realize that I was made to give a tip. My friend who was with me caught when I signed the iPad and auto pressed continue that the dollar tip was highlighted not the no tip. Now don?t get me wrong, it?s not a lot of money but it?s the morality that bothers me most. That was scummy to take that from me especial

Got the $20 combo with 2 korean corndogs and 3 donuts/malasadas. You HAVE to try the ube malasadas! Strong ube flavor but not too sweet. Korean corndogs were crispy and fluffy! The staff was very friendly. Honestly an upgrade from the old dot and dough place. Soft opening PROMO: Buy any korean corndog, get a churro donut FREE!

Made to order, but quick. Donuts came out hot and fresh after about 5 mins from when I placed the order in store. Great customer service from the one lady working by herself. A little pricey, but at least it wasn?t stale/room temperature.

FINALLY a good donut shop in the area! So close to my home ???? I loveeee mochi donuts! If you haven?t had it before, I recommend you do! I also tried this Filled Mochi Donut (chocolate flavor), and it was soooo good. I?m sure everything else in this store won?t disappoint!

The donuts were AMAZING!!! Especially the mochi filled - I recommend the taro one. The woman at the counter gave exceptional service and the donuts were very fresh (made upon ordering).

I love stopping by Mochi Lion! Their mochi donuts are way better than their malasadas, in my opinion. And their corn dogs? So good. My favorite is the half sausage, half cheese, but honestly, you can?t go wrong with any of them. I haven?t tried a lot of their drinks, but I definitely wouldn?t recommend the ube milk tea (or whatever it?s called). It doesn?t taste like ube at all?super disappointing and honestly undrinkable. But to be fair, that?s the only thing I?ve ever gotten there that really let me down

Stopped by this donut shop which also served Korea style corndogs. Love their donuts and boba drink. I will revisit if I?m back to the area.

Mark prepared my order of mochi donuts and they were delicious. Moreover, he has a cheerful and bright personality. He has great customer service skills and he is a great donut cook.

Highly recommend these delicious mochi donuts! I had their matcha, rainbow taro, original and cinnamon sugar flavored. Love the freshly made and crispy dough. They are not overly sweet and nicely paired with Latte. Enjoyed the excellent service too! Would come back for MORE

trained here for a possible position and was not given fair chance. Girl who trained me brought her boyfriend and was kissing him the whole time and very rude to me. i was excited as the people at Mochi Lion Donut have a nice demeanor and it came to a shock. Manager is a horrible communicator. i will be going other places to have mochi donuts. Also boba is left out on a counter all day. Gross. Lastly the actual store itself looks dirty. dirt on the floor, chairs and window sills

I myself had just got the single mochi lion strawberry and it was very delicious. I would also like to come out and say the service was nice very patient, very calming and very polite. The atmosphere was really appealing, the music was a good vibe, also the weather was relaxing. Would definitely recommend to any sweet or food lovers!

My family and I stopped by Mochi Lion on a Friday night after visiting the farmer's market, and we were so impressed! The frosting on the doughnuts were a little melted from the heat of the corndogs but they were still super tasty. The corndogs were also delicious, and the service was excellent. Shout out to the young man working in the face mask (so responsible!) and polo shirt who was so polite and friendly. We'll definitely be back!

Came here twice to try them out. 1st time here and we received very good service, but the food was not so good. Came back a second time and service went out the door. Not returning for a 3rd time. Save yourself the trouble and eat somewhere else.

The aura was perfect and the taro mochi donut was PERFECT. My server Destiny was super kind and made sure to answer any questions I had!

Very satisfied with Dot & Dough! Their donuts are so delicious, the owner/cashier was very friendly and helpful. Definitely will be coming back for more ?

Great Mochi donut and Masala place. Their ice cappuccino is roasted to perfection. Highly recommended

As someone who usually doesn?t care what a place looks like, I am obsessed with how adorable this place is. Lovely atmosphere, fantastic food, and incredibly friendly service. Would absolutely recommend

Ordered on DoorDash, I got the filled mochi donuts and they were good. However, the matcha latte was one of the worst I've had. I'm a huge matcha fan and I could taste the powdery texture. I let it sit for a couple of minutes and all the powder sank to the bottom.

Mochi donuts were soo good! Their drinks were great also. I got the horchata latte it was amazing.

Super nice when explaining it was our first time there and recommended some great options that were really good

Tasty donuts, cute location, accommodating staff, and good pricing. I got a matcha white chocolate mochi donut and it was great, not too sweet or too heavy like other donut places. The staff was very kind and gifted us a bag of mini sugar mochi donuts for free, which were just as delicious. I?m not a local but it was definitely a highlight of my time while visiting Covina, I hope to come back again soon!

The donuts were not fresh, and the hot chocolate lacked richness, with a diluted flavor and minimal chocolate taste.

What can I say cute little location Kathryn helped us and she was extremely helpful. We ordered the mochi doughnut with the cocoa pebbles on top and one of the Malasada donuts with chocolate. The donut was absolutely amazing. The chocolate malasada was OK. The chocolate was not very good so we went back and ordered one just plain everything was fresh and tasty and didn?t take very long at all. Come by a few times and the location was close so I was happy to be able to try it this time 10 out of 10 we?re tot

The oreo chocolate donut was pretty good, they did have other options available for donuts, and an assortment of donut holes, or filled options available. All of which looked very delicious it could be very easy to end up over indulging on any of the assorted sugar treats they have available. Was not crowded when I was there, in fact the strip where Dot and Dough is located seemed to be an up and coming spot, with other restaurants to check out.

I went here seeing the good reviews. But you order through a tablet and the drinks didn't have sweetness level and forgot to tell the lady in the backround, so it was super sweet. The donut is freshly made but I got an after taste.

Nice, clean place. I had the mochi donuts. They were still warm. I didn't like the donuts with the hard candy on top but everything else was good. NO CASH SALES so have your cards or cells ready. Drinks were also good. Just a long wait for me. But good for Covina - something different.

The dough on the mochi donut and masalada was great! But presentation was not great. We got ube masalada. Ube filling consistency was watery that it was pouring out. Banana flavor tart artificial like banana Larry taffy

Cute little hole in the wall will try again

I love the atmosphere and staff here! First time coming and by far the best tasting donuts I?ve had! It was worth the 30 min drive! I now found my go to spot !

The mochi donuts were warm and tasty. Tried the horchata latte and it was dank

Everyone in our house party loved the dessert! Definitely will order again !

The filled malasada matcha and ube is a must try. A real game changer. Im glad they have one nearby in a good neighborhood. The price is also reasonable and not that expensive since its made fresh.

Just delicious. More pix coming soon!
