Mighty-O Donuts- Greenlake

Mighty-O Donuts- Greenlake

Reviews Summary

Mighty-O Donuts is widely praised for its delicious vegan donuts, with many customers unable to distinguish them from non-vegan options. Favorites include the French toast, apple fritter, and raspberry riot. The coffee, particularly the Coffee Bomb, and seasonal lemonades also receive high marks. Staff are generally friendly, though a few note inconsistent service. The cozy, neighborhood vibe and ethically sourced ingredients add to the appeal. While some find the donuts dense or pricey, most agree they’re among Seattle’s best, with loyal customers returning for years. Mighty-O Donuts is hands-down one of my favorite spots?not just for the amazing donuts, but because of the incredible people behind the counter. Jarrett is truly one of a kind: warm, kind, and always going above and beyond to create a welcoming experience. He brings such positive energy and care to everything he does, and it?s clear his team reflects that same spirit. Everyone is friendly, helpful, and clearly takes pride in their work. You can feel the love and intention behind every visit. Huge thank you

Delicious vegan doughnuts!! Super yummy- and the coffee is also amazing! Its very much worth the price. Thank you so much for a great breakfast, we will definintely be back! ??

This is one of my favorite places in Seattle. I've been going here for a decade now! The staff has always been friendly, the cake donuts deliver EVERY. TIME. And their coffee is so good too! There are large windows that look out over the peaceful neighborhood. 10 out of 10! I love this place.

Mighty-O has great cake donuts. My favorite is the nutty french toast, but they're all good. We also really liked the seasonal snowball donut. Their soy lattes are great. Our dog loves to come here, too! They gave us a little chunk of donut for him since they were out of the naked mini donuts. We've been to several Mighty-O locations with our dog (including on the Tour de Donut bike event) and appreciate how welcome he is.

I grew up coming here and am so happy it still has its positive vibes and devine donuts.

This place is great! The people are as friendly as it gets, and the donuts are fire!

Delicious cake-y donuts. They?re very sugary but not too greasy. Our top 3 favorites are the grasshopper (chocolate mint), raspberry chocolate and lemon poppyseed.

A nice barista saw me while I was on the side of the road with a flat tire, in the middle of a terrible rain storm no less. He got off his bike and saw me struggling, he patched up the hole in my tire and put it back on in the blink of any eye. He told me there was no excuse now to come check out Mighty o Donuts. I got in my car and stopped by for a coffee and a donut, and I loved it! It really restored my faith in humanity. I believe this young man?s name is Reece Green. I hope he?s doing well.

Best place to grab a feel-good cake donut and the coffee drinks are always the most delicious. Are they actual wizards? Please add more coffee to the coffee bomb, TY!!

Very good donuts, can't stop eating ?? Totally not so sweet. I'm pregnant, and they satisfied my desire of donuts but have to control my sugar level. Good product and friendly service. I'm glad I bought the half box with 6 donuts.

Great local doughnuts in a cute community. Worth the price, as these are quality and not cheap gross doughnuts that you will hate yourself after eating. Coffee sold here benefits the Seattle Zoo ?. Staff are friendly and doughnuts divine. A few seats outside make people watching super fun. ????????

Apple fritter 10/10, moist on the inside but still so crisp on the outside. I also tried the apple spiced donut which was dense, but still moist! I love that they have compostable wrappers, along with ethically sourced ingredients AND they?re vegan - which if you did a blind taste test next to any regular donut, you wouldn?t be able to tell a difference.

We ordered a half dozen and sampled a couple more! -Lemon Poppy Seed -Cake -Plain Yeast Glaze -Chocolate Peanut Butter -Donut King (which is vanilla cake, chocolate icing, topped with coconut) -French Toast I also sampled the Chocolate Raspberry and although I loved how both the raspberry and the lemon were real fruit flavors and not artificial they were not my favorite. My personal favorite was the Donut King! The staff was super helpful, and although the coffee machine was not working properly, they were

Mighty-o?s Has an amazing selection of donuts and coffee. In addition to that amazing fresh squeezed lemonade. all different types of lemonade! Once in a while they do limited time donuts which are always amazing.

Bought a ton of doughnuts and lucky for us they were 50% today! The drinks were alright. Since the products and vegan and cruelty free I would totally suggest trying them. Great atmosphere for sitting in and eating a nice treat. The place is quaint and I wouldn?t suggest bringing a lot of people.

Definitely the best donuts in North Seattle, friendly staff to. A little expensive but worth it, recommend coming early to get the donuts just as they are made.

Best donuts ever!!! I don?t live in Seattle, so I always buy a dozen to take home and freeze.

A very kind salesperson attended to rush of customers very thoughtfully and graciously. The banana bread donut I had surpassed my expectation! Deliciously wonderful!

Awesome doughnuts! I'm lactose and egg intolerant and their doughnuts are completely safe for me to eat. They are delicious too!

Great spot. All the donuts we got we?re awesome and my americano was ??, all withina few minutes walk in the neighborhood. The fact that everything is vegan is pretty crazy- I?m not sure how you make a good donut without butter or milk.

We came here as a family on July 6th 2022. I absolutely loved their drip brew coffee and donuts. This is a definitely go to if you're in the Seattle area. It had a great vibe. Also, their donuts are made from organic ingredients, and they never use animal products. That's really cool!

Told the guy what I liked for coffee and he nailed it. We're on vacation and have a dairy intolerance. All the donuts were vegan, I tried two both were delicious! If you need non dairy or vegan or just a donut in general try it!

Vegan donuts? Hell yeah! So many delicious flavors! Get there early for better selection. I stop by every time I visit Seattle.

This is the best Donut shop in Seattle! The staff at the Green Lake location are always so friendly & helpful, and the donuts & coffee are delicious! Great atmosphere and plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor. It is definitely a neighborhood gem! We wish they would bring back the cinnamon sugar twists because they were our favorite and we miss them :)

Mighty O Green Lake is my neighborhood donut and coffee shop, and one of the happiest parts of mine and my family?s morning. I feel like part of the family at Mighty O Green Lake - despite having so many happy regulars, the team there somehow knows my order and starts prepping it right when I walk in the door. I come for the excellent cappuccino and my kids and husband come for the incredible best-in-Seattle donuts. We?re forever fans of mainstays like their Apple Fritter and Lemon Poppy donuts, but also t

We had one jelly filled and one plain glazed. We stopped in mid week mid day. Options were limited. The choices all seemed a little sad looking and so was the location. Went and got our coffee across the street at Zokas.

The staff here were so nice! They also gave me a punch card you get for every dozen you purchase, who doesn?t love a good point system. And the donuts, obviously those were the best part!! We got one of each and they were all so good. It was hard not to eat it all in one day.

I moved to New York City 7 years ago, but every time I?m back in Seattle it?s tradition to stop by Mighty-O Donuts. French toast are my favorite, but you cannot go wrong! Love this place. 10 stars!

I love this place. Organic vegan doughnuts and juices that are delicious. The coffe is quite good too. They have several locations but this one is very chill. Parking is a little better than other locations.

Tip: for party, cut dozen donuts into 6 pieces, mix chocolate raspberry and plain with sprinkles. Place into large bowl. Festive and delicious! Most excellent vegan donuts. Outside dining. Friendly staff. Great variety, seasonal offerings. I wish there was one in Shoreline!!

Located in Tangletown (between Wallingford and Greenlake) is one the then best donuts in North Seattle. Love this place!

These doughnuts have been the start of many wonderful days, because it's hard to be unhappy after a visit to Mighty-O. The atmosphere is a wholesome meeting place for friends, family, kids, and pets.

I love Mighty-O!!! Hands down the BEST donuts in Seattle (and I've tried a ton of donuts here). They always have great seasonal and regular flavors, and their chai is the perfect blend of spice. ??

I love Mighty-Os!! I've been going here since I was a kid - the donuts are always delicious, and the people are always kind :)

Amazing that there is something so awesome that is Vegan and Organic, everybody loved them, we got a dozen to try a bunch however the cinnamon apple one was stale and not much apple flavor and the coffee didn't taste like coffee. But other than that we'd go get more and share them the sprinkles one was amazing.

The staff there was super friendly! The donuts were quite good. I tried two donuts, one of each of the cake-based and yeast-based ones. The yeast-based one was ok, Top Pot has better yeast-based ones than them, since theirs does not have much gluten (and I am a huge gluten fan). The cake-based one was pretty good though!

Lots of options and the apple fritter and glaze were on point but every cake donut was very dry. It's fine with a tea but after the tea ends it's tough to eat alone.

Stopped here for a donut and the place is very cool. I got the French Toast one and it was very good.

$15 for 3 donuts? I thought that was kind of pricey for just a mediocre product in my opinion. Not bad but not great.

Our family's weekly Sunday ritual is a visit to Mighty-O. The cake donuts are perfect, the icing flavorful and not-too-sweet (shout out to Raspberry Riot and French Toast). The staff is friendly and easy-going, all around a treasured spot in the neighborhood!

Came for the donuts on Saturday, but was pleasantly surprised and delighted by the Taylor Swift themed lemonades and music playing. We were in town for the concert, so it was a fun precursor to the night. I purchased a ?Lover? lemonade to drink while getting ready for the concert and it did not disappoint. The cake donuts were delicious, with the blueberry cream cheese being my favorite. The staff were all so friendly and helped us pick out our drinks/donuts. Will definitely be back next time I?m in Seattle

Perfect place to enjoy a quiet morning and the perfect blend of coffee and vegan donuts. Non-vegan coworkes ate these within minutes.

Huge fan of the raspberry donuts?glaze is tart with real raspberry flavor. Ambience is great, especially on a sunny day with the garage door open. Staff has always been friendly, helpful, and patient when there are long lines!

One of the only things that can get me out of bed on Saturday is my need for Mighty-O Donuts. Great selection always. The raspberry donuts are amazing.

Favorite local donut shop, bonus that it?s vegan too! Great seasonal holiday specials. And love that they are even open in the snow!

Delicious vegan doughnuts, friendly staff and covered outside tables. An excellent combination!

Normally I'm not a cake donut fan, but that was before I tried the chocolate peanut butter donut here! Great neighborhood spot with patio seating and roll up doors for the good weather days.

Mighty-O has AMAZING donuts. They?re a bit pricier when it comes to donuts but they taste incredible. The staff is also always super friendly & kind.

Some of my family is and/or has been vegan and this is where we would go in Seattle for good vegan doughnuts. Now, in my opinion, vegan anything is never as good as just regular food, but I will say this place nailed is for its customer base. I would still recommend it to non vegans and especially to vegans, this is the place to go for good doughnuts.

Always an amazing experience here. The donuts, coffee, and teas here are awesome. You cannot go wrong with Mighty O. Ever.

Life changing, best donuts I've ever tasted.

Great music and vibe. Pleasant staff. Get the Coffee Bomb.

Great local doughnut shop we stumbled upon will staying in the area for a weekend. Great hearty doughnut's with a wide selection of flavors and glares. The coffee bomb was my favorite.

The staff are friendly and the iced mocha I had was delicious but the donuts were not good at all. I had two nutty chocolate donuts and it was probably the 2nd worst donut I've eaten :(

Service is not great (have been at least a dozen times with my kids as it?s a block from my house), but I have had occasional decent experiences. To be honest, as a ?super taster? all I can taste is that the oil in their fryer needs to be changed - and this is a consistent taste. I love the idea of vegan ??, but the flavor of these donuts are off. We?ll typically drive to Top Pot (8-10 min drive) instead of the 2-3 min walk to Mighty O, just for the superior donuts.

Are you in the need for a hefty and filling donut? Come here! These donuts are absolutely delicious and filling. Upon walking in you are greeted and treated kindly. Then you get your choice of a wonderful selection based on a base of vanilla or chocolate 'cake'. And to be fair, cake is a better description because they are thick like a cake but light enough that you aren't feeling bogged down. The donuts are not overly sweet either which provides in my opinion a better experience overall. I would totally su

Yummy!!!! The BEST organic vegan donut shop I have ever been to. The grasshopper is a chocolate mint donut that is DELICIOUS!!! Highly recommended. Their prices are good and their staff are always friendly. Unusual locations though. They are all fairly grouped together. Would be fantastic to get some open up further from Seattle but worth the drive!

The donuts here are not the typical fluffy donuts. They were solid and thick but still good. There was a large variety of flavors to choose from and it compliments the coffee. The shop itself was a good size with about 5-6 tables and outside seating. It wouldn't be a location I would drive to unless I was already in the area. There is a good coffee place across the street from this shop.

For all vegan eaters and non, Mighty's O's will be a delight. These are moist, cakey, not too sweet donuts. They have a nice variety of flavors and beverages. Take your donuts and coffee outside to the tables and watch life go by. The only reason I rated four stars was because they are very expensive for donuts. Organic and vegan ingredients will cost you. It is less expensive if you buy more, so get a crowd or take some home to save. They are a once in a very great while treat.

Sharing an underwhelming experience... Coffee was *okay* and location is pleasant, but the donuts were far below expectations. Everything about them was... wrong. Our entire batch was misshapen. Even if "rustic" is their angle, it's too sloppy - even for me. The glaze was all cracked, loose, and not good... It all melted off. The maple bar didn't taste like maple, the creme anglaise in the bismarck was completely split and grainy, terrible! I really think their recipes need some work or the store needs some

The donuts are really good I'll hand them that. But does it justify the price? You'll have to decide but you definitely should give them a try. Seems like weekday customer service is much better and friendlier than the weekend crew. IMO. I have been there when they had run out of certain doughnuts so don't hesitate when decide to go. Definitely try the French toast donuts...so good.

Unremarkable. I love cake donuts but these were extremely dense. The lemon poppyseed was good but overpowered by the lemon flavor. The cinnamon sugar was tasteless. I?m not gonna say they were horrible, but I?ve definitely had better. Donuts are my weakness. If someone brings donuts to work, I resolve to wreck my entire day nutrition-wise. I could avoid these donuts all day, no problem. Anyway, friendly staff. Cute area. Plenty of seating.

VERY tasty, but also expensive. If you want a delicious donut, come here. If you want a donut that?s also reasonably price, don?t come here. The flavors are unique, but not mind bending, which is perfect for just about anyone who wants a good donut. We got the blueberry (soo good), and the French toast (amazing). Really good donuts. Just realize you?ll be spending more for a donut than almost anywhere else, but they are that good.

Our favorite donut shop in Seattle! The staff is friendly and the donuts are great. Our favorites are the devil?s playground and raspberry riot!

This is my favorite donut shop in the Northwest, barely edging out my favorite Portland shop because they are vegan so ALL my friends can enjoy them when I take a box to a party. And the donuts are delicious! Some people hear vegan and think "ewww, gross" but honestly, until I thoroughly read the website I had no idea they were vegan. The shop has a great atmosphere, nicely lit, comfortable, and it smells delicious because they make the donuts on site. Good coffee, very friendly staff, AND they have a chan

I swear this donut shop convinced me to move to Seattle. I?m not even vegan anymore, but who cares when (a) their donuts are so objectively good, and (b) they have milk and half-n-half for their coffee? The seasonal donuts are especially delicious ? my favorites are the fall/winter (apple cake and gingerbread), and January (orange blossom). Oh and blueberry (June). Now I want donuts.

Edited august 2021: quality has gone steeply downhill over the past 4 years. They often don't have any yeast raised donuts anymore, even when I go or call early in the morning, and when they do they are overcooked and dry. The staff is constantly changing and enforcing different policies (free refills, calling ahead for an order, etc) and it's a real bummer. I used to happily spend way too much money here and now I often walk in and walk right back out empty handed. 2017: Vegan donuts and super friendly st

Y?ALL these donuts were so. frickin. good. I like to think I?ve had my fair share of donuts. I?ve never met a donut I didn?t like, BUT these are actually top notch. We got the French Toast and Chocolate Peanut Butter - both flavors not often seen elsewhere. Both the donut and the frosting were delicious!! Very flavorful and soft. We came here on our vacation and were so pleased. And the staff was super nice. Thanks!

Changed my perception of what donuts can be, and now I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to properly enjoy any other donut. Seriously wish these were available country-wide. The donuts are all plant-based and there's a wide selection every day, and every one I tried was packed full of flavor that somehow managed not to be cloying as most donuts tend to be. No stomach ache from sugar and fat overdose either, even when I had to 'help' finish the leftover ones later.

Customer service has always been less than subpar for Ballard, greenlake and cap hill (where I normally go). It?s been a few years since I?ve wanted to review Mighty O but I waited bc I hoped it would get better. I?ve been to downtown once and the person there was kind and welcoming but that?s the only time I?ve felt a staff member actuallt enjoys their job. I only continue to go for the vegan donuts whenever I have a craving but I can?t seem to ever encounter a nice person at the register. All very bland,

I come here quite often (at least once a week) to grab donuts and/or coffee. I love the baristas--they are all incredibly friendly--and the coffee is some of the best I've ever had. Cant even go back to my old stuff! The donuts are good too. They're vegan too! My personal recommendations are the plain french toast and apple fritter.

I feel bad for this review because I love what Mighty-O is doing in terms of normalizing vegan foods and attempting to make them more accessible to non-vegans. I don't want them to lose business, they're doing a good thing. Unfortunately Mighty-O Donuts misses the mark. They serve only cake donuts and all the flavors I tried suffer from the same issues. The donuts have a weird consistency and are structurally unstable. The inner part of the donut separates from the outer part, the skin. The taste of the ca

My favorite donuts in Seattle They?re cake-y like, but for me that?s just perfect.

So glad we stopped by to check this place out! The donuts were amazing and the Taylor swift ?Lover? themed tea was delicious. The employees were super friendly and I will definitely be back for more next time I?m in town!

I love these donuts. Not only do they taste delicious, but they are vegan and made of organic ingredients. But really, the best thing about them is how well they taste. They are not too sweet and they aren't slimy soft like many other donuts are.

I live near Mighty-O and it's adds such fun flair to the neighborhood. The donuts are delicious. The French Toast donut and apple fritter are my favorites. I love having an easy way to get a treat for my friends who can't eat dairy or eggs.

Specializes in old fashioned cake donuts. Flavors were rich and the donuts were dense and had a real weight to them. Service was friendly and fast. Easily found street parking nearby. Would definitely recommend for any donut lover, vegan or not.

Great selection of flavours, both cake donuts and several types of yeast-raised. And after years going here, found out they're all vegan! Yes, the donuts are a little more expensive than other places: I think it's worth it to buy organic and sustainable. They do have punch cards so you can get rewards for coming by regularly.

Mighty O is hands down my favorite donut place in Seattle. They are totally vegan, but they don't sacrifice flavor at all. (I didn't even know they were vegan for like six months). They are also super visually appealing and delicious looking, which is big in my book. If you're looking for a dope donut in Seattle, go to Mighty O and you WILL NOT be disappointed. Two sugary donut thumbs up

The best donuts around. And they are made with organic ingredients! Walk around Greenlake then hoof up to get a couple of Glazed or Cinnamon Sugar donuts. Really, you can't go wrong with any flavor. The texture and flavor is unique. It cannot be described or compared to any other donut. Everyone I've turned onto these donuts asks me to take them back.

With due respect to the other local donut shops, these are the best in Seattle. They don't try to do overtly fancy or outrageous donuts, just straightforward cake concoctions, plain or with frosting. All the selections are vegan - I don't know how they're able to do it, but the owner came up with a recipe that avoided using any animal based products, and you don't notice any difference. The Green Lake store is the first one that opened; they have another store in Ballard. If you have a craving for donuts, w

The best donuts that I ever have in my life!!!! The flavors are creative. One of my favorites are Nutty French Toast and French Toast.

Edit: I've since come back here consistently after having a bad customer service experience years ago and the staff have been kind and donuts delicious. Love to have vegan treat options. Really disappointing customer service, someone needs to fire the lead guy here.

Soo good and fresh. Loved the different varieties to choose from. Staff was very friendly, love that it?s vegan!!

After trying it for a third time, I cannot recommend consuming your empty calorie cheats here. The donuts just aren?t good. There are much better options for your comfort calories.

I love donuts, but I'm allergic to eggs so needless to say Mighty-O's vegan donuts are a godsend! I love their yeast donuts most of all. Service can be hit or miss, but you can't go wrong with their yummy donuts! Last hour of the day the donuts are half off too. Not a huge fan of their coffee, I'd rather go across the street to Zoka...

Great neighborhood spot with great food and friendly service. But, VERY VERY slow and expensive. The staff should help customers move along and encourage them to decide while in line. If customers take time to decide, that?s totally OK, help the next customer while the former decides. Often a staff member is just standing and waiting. They could improve flow massively with just some simple and still polite service improvements. I often leave when I see even just a few people online. It can take near 20 mi

Don't go here if you're expecting a normal donuts. We had the maple bars and they tasted like sugar on top of dough. I am sure that these are great donuts for vegans but we had no idea that this was a vegan donut shop with organic ingredients. If you want a healthy donuts this is your place.
