Meridian Goatstar Donuts and Coffee

I got a buttermilk donuts and they were so very good. The lady was very nice to me. I asked for donuts with no frosting like the buttermilk bars but they did not have them. She asked why no frosting and I told her my wife is diabetic and have had some trouble finding them with no frosting. They are still a GREAT place to get donuts.

Went in at noon on a Saturday and there were maybe 5 donuts to choose from. The dining area was totally empty and completely filthy. I had to clean the table myself. The cashier was incredibly rude and not helpful at all. She refused to give us a cup of water with our purchase and when I asked for napkins she went out of her way to not hand them to me. The donuts were ok. Would not recommend

Best donuts in the Treasure Valley! It's very small but the employees are very nice and the place is nice and clean. And they have a good variety of donuts available. The bear claws are amazing, and the cinnamon swirls, apple fritters the size of your face... I haven't met a donut there I haven't liked.

Pretty good donuts but every time I come here I?m kind of amazed at how rude the employees are. It?s actually kind of funny just how little they care about even pretending to be nice. As long as you don?t mind the employees treating you like an annoyance, the donuts are pretty good.

Good tasting donuts. Come early for hot fresh donuts as they sell out early. Friendly Customer service & plenty of drinks too choose from too.

Okay so as far as that atmosphere goes it's a donut shop so it's fine. You can either sit down or take it home. The donuts are incredible and that's why we keep going back. I would say my only negative thing to say is it the lady that's always there helping comes off a little cold to me well I don't think she's doing it intentional I just don't get a very inviting vibe from her and sometimes she can make me feel like I need to rush when I need a minute to figure my life out even if there's nobody behind me.

Why have hours listed if you are going to close early every day? If you are posting that you are open until 5, then have someone on site baking until you close. Being "sold out" and closing at 1pm is ridiculous. You are losing customers and potential ones, like us.

Im a transplant from Texas been here for 9 years now and Goatstar has something most places in Idaho doesn't have and that are Kolaches which is a regional thing to Texas and I love visiting this place to get me a Kolache. Disappointed with the Meridian shop.... purchased buttermilk donut around 9:30 am ....tasted stale(?) and like old oil (?). Also, the glazed were. Way too sugary....the blueberry cake donut also tasted of old oil(?)....a terrible aftertaste while eating on the way home....TOO BAD! PLEASE FIX!!!!!!

This is a must stop for us every morning when we have an appointment in the area. Great tasting donuts, lots of different kinds to choose from. The lady is very sweet and friendly every time we stop in.

I work with special needs adults. They take their time to choose. But the lady who was working today, 4/30/24 in the morning, was not patient at all and was rushing everyone. This is not great service for special needs individuals. Maybe they need to learn how to treat people better.

Tried twice to get donuts during operating hours. Already sold out of glazed before 9am and they won?t be making more. Other attempt was 2-hours before closing. Door was open and no one came to the register. They need to change their hours to closing at 9am if they aren?t going to make more donuts during their posted operating hours.

The donuts were tasty. They tasted fresh, not old like other reviews had mentioned. The young lady at the counter was also very kind. We would come back here the next time the donut craving strikes.

Best place nearby for an awesome maple bar. Of all the donuts I've tried across the country I'd rate these a solid 8 out of 10 for selection and 9 out of 10 for taste. Perfect crisp to their flavorful bread and if someone can master maple like they do I will always return. Thanks for being consistently delicious!

Unfortunately I ordered for the first time thru door dash and out of the dozen donuts I specifically asked for only 2 came the other 10 were substituted by the business and not even close to what I asked for. Love the donuts but the woman helping us was so rude and for no reason at all. It was upsetting to me because I had my 3 children with me and we were out for a special treat and special time together. She was rushing us even though we were choosing quickly and nobody else was waiting! Rudest service I?ve had in a long time!

My son's favorite donut shop, the bacon bar is his favorite donut. Great prices and friendly service. A sweet treat before hockey Saturdays or church Sundays! The place isn't huge so it can be difficult to find a seat but we rarely eat in, usually take our donuts to go! A good selection of drinks too.

I was searching for a Dunkin Donuts near the Meridian Speedway, but ended up at this donut shop. Cute place. Donuts looked really good so bought 3 dozen for our midget group. They were so good!! They have a good assortment of donuts and every one we grabbed was 90?, same as what you'd pay at a grocery store but better taste. Very yummy and my daughter loved the chocolate cake donut. I'll be returning (again, and again...)

Went in early afternoon. While the donuts we did get were tasty and fresh, half or more of the racks were empty. Friend I was with wasn't able to get what he normally gets and went in intending to get. Might have been late in the day for a coffee and donuts shop but would have been nice if the racks were full.

Good donuts. Hard to find reasonable priced donuts anymore but ... WATCH YOUR TAX when they are being rung up. The tax rate is always wrong. I finally quit saying anything about it because it's just what they do I guess. Not sure how they get away with it.

Delicious donuts and quite a variety! The only reason I'm giving them 2 stars is because they never have donuts made, ever. It's rare that I find them filling up the display cases with donuts. I go in on a daily basis for donuts and I am never able to buy any, I don't understand the point of having a donut shop if your not making any.

These are the best donuts in town. They are reasonably priced and the coffee's pretty Dang good too. If you want the best choices, go early, don't wait till the afternoon when they're sold out. If you want more frosting get a bigger donut.

Good donuts, rude customer service! Prior to picking out half dozen donuts, I asked for a small box instead of a small bag, this was apparently a huge inconvenience as I got a terrible luck from the young woman working the donut shop. Absolutely the best donuts! Great selection and good prices. They have a small selection of drinks but a Starbucks is right next door so grab a donut then head over to Starbucks for your latte. They open early in the morning, which is the best time to go in because the donuts go fast.

Walked in and the place smelled like old fried oil. Asked for 5 donuts in a box and the younger woman proceeded to put them in a bag saying they can only do a box for 6...really? First and probably last time there. Donuts were good at least.

This place is the best little family donut shop in the valley. I am a huge fan of the apple fritter - it is amazing. Also, they are convenient located not too far off the freeway in Meridian. I've never walked away disappointed in their quality and they beat other donut shops in the Boise area I've been to, hands down.

Stopped in at 5:30am, 2 days out of a week. Tuesday was closed, Thursday they were late opening. Only had a couple doughnuts in the case so I left. Stopped by later that morning around 8ish and looked like everything was picked through. When asking if they had another item the lady answered very snooty like. Good doughnuts but not great customer service and no set hours. May give it another shot later.

Their donuts have an addictive quality and they are so good! I love the maple bacon donuts and the crullers. Service is friendly and swift. If you love donuts, this is the place to stop whenever a craving hits you!

Not many donut shops in this area to compare to but I've had a lot of donuts in my lifetime and these are some of the best. My only issue is that they don't have coffee readily available. It always seems like they have to brew the coffee after I order it. Which does mean it's fresh, but if I'm in a hurry it is irritating.

The donuts are good, but what donut isn't? I got one with brown frosting thinking it would be chocolate however there was no flavor at all. I even ate it by itself in case the donut was over powering it. Like I said it's good, but not special.

This place is not fancy.I do not know if they have vegan options or not. Not my thing.The variety is good and all that I require from an honest doughnut shop! I do know that you cannot get a better doughnut at a better price in town.The service is excellent with small wait times. Not a hip hangout, but dont let the no frills atmosphere keep you away. Yum! Great selection, even if you're not a 5am early bird, which I am not! It's a cute little shop, simple and nice service too. We only do donuts every once in a while, but this is the spot we go to. The beverian cream is delicious, nice sized donuts, lots of flavors and frostings. Something for everyone here!

Horrible donuts. No cinnamon or tast on the cinnamon rolls, no apple on the stale Donuts. Just fried flour. Not worth the carbs and definitely not worth the money. Quit trying to save a penny's . Make a great donunt and they will line uppout the door.

Bought a dozen mixed of old fashioned and buttermilk at clients request. Got back to their office, and as everyone started to eat every single person, 7 of us, asked how old these things were. The were hard with crunchy edges and stale! I should have known since when I went in there were very few donuts left of this kind. My guess is they make them only a few times a week and let them sit in the shelf till they are gone. Absolutely TERRIBLE! Wal-Mart shelf donuts are better.

Donuts are great. Usually go to both Eagle and Meridian locations depending on where we are at the moment. Last couple times in Meridian, lady at the counter has been rude and dismissive. Today when we didn?t pick the pre-picked dozen and wanted to pick our own, she became short with us and walked away from the register as soon as she told us our total, before we even paid. Will not go back to the Meridian location.

Went to this place on national donut day. As expected they were busy and as I drove by the inside was packed I hesitated going in. By the time I parked they had the place nearly empty and they still had a great selection of donuts. There prices are low considering other donut shops around and definitely worth the extra time it takes me to get there.

These donuts are excellent. Our kids love it and my wife will no longer eat donuts from anywhere else. The owners are super friendly. Great place, highly recommended.

Dk has always held a special place in my heart from my childhood. I have always gone to the one in boise but the meridian franchise is closer and just as good! Fantastic service, great prices, and of course, the best donuts I've ever had! I frequently choose DK over dunkin' or Krispy Kreme any day of the week. But, when they offer an authentic homemade flavor, they are exceptionally hard to beat by mass production operations. ;)

The girl behind the counter didn't even know what she was selling . She told us that one donut was like a pig in a blanket with sausage. It was hot dog definitely and she tried to describe the cheese and said it had jalapeno. Yeah it had a little bit of Jalapeno in it but it was nothing like what she sold it to be.

Just happened to see this shop while driving through meridian today, my kids asked if we could stop. I am so glad I did. The creme filled doughnuts were amazing. I already had eaten one until my mother looked at them and notice the mold on them. I hope that I don't get food poisoning. That will be the last time we would buy donuts from them. OK the service is always good here the donuts are always tasty but really rub me wrong this morning is it the lady working behind the booth or the counter someone I?ve never seen her before she?s not wearing a mask she doesn?t have a mask hanging from her neck and has been working for at least 30 minutes handing donuts and dealing with customers she?s the only employee in the business. Best Donuts Around, Our Favorite is the Maple Bacon Bars they are yummy. But you got to get there early to make sure you get your favorites.
