I am a die hard Shipley?s fan, but I pass it up to come here often!! I love their donuts and I highly recommend!! When I need an extra bag, they provide it, no hassle. I appreciate that! With that being said, I come in often, and one would think I would have built some type of rapport. The husband, he def speaks with a smile, but the wife never smiles or builds that same rapport. It?s off putting to say the least. But others may have a different experience.

Tried this donut shop for the first time. Best donuts I?ve had in a long time! Forget the other big chain companies. This is the place to go. Will be back to try their kolaches.
I've tried so many times and love supporting small businesses but some reason the owners don't seem very nice to me or my kids. Often feels like they don't want my business. We don't buy a lot of donuts but still I shouldn't feel like he wants us to hurry and feel rushed picking the donuts the kids want. As a business owner myself, I treat everyone with a good service no matter how big or small the orders are. A simple Thank you or a smile would go a long way!
This is a small, unassuming shop that offers large, delicious donuts. The prices are lower than most and I was impressed by the selection of different varieties. They also have kolaches and breakfast sandwiches available. Two thumbs up!
This is a great place to get breakfast weekend or weekdays. If you are a early riser and want to get breakfast for office or for yourself at 4:30 am in the morning, this shop is for you. They have great variety of kolaches and donuts. Oh, yeah coffee is great too. It is on my way to HWY 288, very convenient. The owners are very sweet and will accommodate your requests.
I'm updating my review based on my most recent visit. The first time I went, the place was closed at 6am despite indicating that they opened at 4:30. This time they were open. It actually looks like the fellow is running things on his own right now, so I can appreciate the place being dark if something comes up. Got to have a donut and kolache today and both were very good. So, with the risk that the store may not be open from time to time, I can recommend this one for a good option for kolaches and donuts
This place is awesome. The service is top notch. The is a wonderful variety of breakfast items and bakery items. My kids love the kolaches and donuts with various toppings. I like the kolaches made of chapel hill sausage and ther glazed donuts. It's always a pleasant way to start the day. Awesome addition to the area.
Consistently consistent. I frequent this shop almost daily, i tell everyone i know about this hidden gem. Prices are very good especially for the quality of product. Offerings are all made in house from scratch. The pistachio old fashion is my go to usually
I love this shop. They have my favorite kolaches. The bread is so soft. The donuts are also delicious and am always served with a smile.
Mr. Sam the owner was welcoming and pleasant to speak to, offering me some good business advice. Purchased the turkey kolachie and sausage and cheese kolachie..both very good, plus he gave me a couple of extra donuts. Good luck on your new opening in Richwood!

Very good donuts made there not shipped in like some other places. I like their dough recipe a lot. Very nice professional family owned do it shop and one of the best around. Highly recommend.
I will never try this place ever again because it says it is open every day until one o'clock and I show up at 11:30 and the door is locked. When I proceeded to take my daughter and put her back in her car seat and get back in my car, a guy open the door and looks at me to get my attention and I already brushed him off because he was probably keeping the door locked and doing something else other than serving his customers. For me, this donut shop in PL next to Circle K is like no other, a real gem. OMG WTG on the dough. Try his Chappell Hill sausage kolache it's very good.
I wish I could give this local business 5 stars, but I gave it 2 chances on the breakfast sandwich and got an egg shell both times. I told the young person at the counter, but he didn't think it was worth bringing it up with the owner.
The coffee is burnt , they don?t have real half and half on the counter. No sugar packets only Splenda and sweet and low. They have fake powder creamer. If you call ur self a coffee shop then have real coffee and real amenities. I can get better coffee at a gas station . I am really disappointed thinking I was going to a real coffee shop/ donut shop.
Not a fan sorry. I had their jalape?o kolache and it does not have enough jalape?o if any. Also I had a piece of plastic on my kolache. Their bread is good but they need to stuff them differently.
Really friendly. I'm always greeted upon entry. Kolache are very yummy and I love the velvet donut he makes on the weekends.
