We visited after our lunch nearby because the donuts looked scrumptious from afar. Even at 1:30pm, they still had lots of selections available. The donuts were fluffy and soft. - custard: it was creamy and had perfect sweetness - raspberry donut: The raspberry jam was plenty and very good (not too sweet with a little tartness).

I recently stopped by this donut shop and was really impressed by the quality. The donuts were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly crafted, with a great variety of options. The maple bar and blueberry cake donut stood out as my favorites. I?ll definitely be back for a reliably great donut every time.

I only come to Marie's when I'm doing my laundry across the street it's always fresh and delicious. If you come early there's always a line which is why I went to begin with. If the locals get it so often it says Lot. They're right and I'm new here but what I can gather is Marie's is a staple of the Freeport district. Everyone has Loved this place for years and it just feels familiar.

Light-textured donuts, cheap, open very late. The cream was a little artificial tasting but still more real than Krispy Kreme. The hot chocolate was from a bag one of those sugary ones got very from a nice bank, not worth it for 2.50.

They rotate a few flavors and types throughout the week, but they have your staples always. Everything is outside and there's no seating. I thought they?d be warm for sure but no such luck?. i?m thinking they probably have to wait for them to cool down before they can put any kind of toppings. Maria's is a great little walk-up donut shack serving your traditional selection of donuts and pastries. They have a good variety ranging from old fashioned, cream or jelly filled, maple bars, cinnamon buns, apple fritters, etc. My favorites are the blueberry donuts and the cream filled donut. The cream is light and not very sweet, which is perfect inside the glazed donut. The staff is very friendly and the donuts average about $1 each. There is an extra fee for using a payment card for purchases under $5.

This is the best donut place! When we go in the morning the donuts are always fresh. They are so nice and light not too dense. Depending on the type of donut you are getting. If it?s a buttermilk or cake donut they are naturally a bit more dense. But every donut I have had here is great! In my opinion it is the best in all of Sac. I would highly recommend.

The line was long but it went fast. We ordered a strawberry donut, razed glazed cinnamon sugar, and two raised chocolate. The donuts were very good. This donut shop has been open since before I went to middle school at least 40 years ago and they?re still serving great doughnuts! They open at 10 PM. You have to come in to get a fresh buttermilk bar. It is the best!

Sunday, 630a.m. treat at Marie's Donuts. The drive over was kind of quiet, but get to Marie's and the regular flow of customers is in progress. Such great folks smile and ask for our orders. Luckily, the donuts are piled high this early in the a.m., so I easily score a couple maple glazed Old Fashioned donuts and an apple fritter. The tiny parking lot was teeming, so a little patience was in order. One guy in a work van couldn't help himself and honked the horn for attention. Uh-oh, on an early Sunday a.m.

There was a $5 minimum on using your cc, so we added a strawberry donut & some donut holes. The maple bar and cinnamon & sugar donut were good and the strawberry donut was ok. Donuts are exceptional, well worth standing in line for about 10 minutes. 4 stars because of the lack of parking. Had to circle the neighborhood several times before I finally found parking in the Freeport bakery lot. Felt guilty so also went there as a customer. Yummy

I found them because a travel news article rated them the "best donuts in Northern CA." Saw the rave reviews on Yelp and Google and decided to check out the hype. Best donuts I've ever had. Their donuts are perfectly balanced. Not too sweet, not too doughy, light and airy and just perfect. Bought some in the morning and still tasted fresh and soft at the end of the day.
