Best donuts in Cincinnati!! I am a local and go here once a week. They have amazing staff, that truly care about the customers. Everything about Marcella's is special.

Found my new donut spot! The best customer service ever - recognized it was my first time here and happily walked me through all their different kinds!! They have all been so good and will definitely be back for any other future donut cravings

Amazing little shop with sweet people. We stopped by late morning, and there was a good variety of donuts. Everything tasted fresh. Our only complaint was how difficult it was trying to pick which donuts to get.

They never mad my order, but offered to refund my money and send me to pick some up at another location. I settled for a free t shirt and the little drive. Very friendly. Co-nuts are my favorite. Drove 45 minutes away just for the cronuts.

They may be rated really well and have really good doughnuts, but when you don?t have any donuts by 9:30 on a Saturday morning that is poor customer service.

Stopped in at 7am as they opened (Sunday), the lady behind the counter was a sweetheart helping me pick out some donuts for my daughters. Glad I grabbed a full dozen because the kids (and I) loved them. Excellent donuts, will be going here from now on!

The service was friendly and quick. The donuts were good. The jelly for the jelly donuts was obviously high quality master from real fruit. The only issue was that it had so much jelly when we picked it up the bottom started to fall out. Well worth the visit. I'll be back

The size of the donuts are humongous but I must say didn't care nothing for the taste of the donut itself or the oil that they used to fry them in. I used to make donuts years ago from scratch for another company and I must say definitely not what I was expecting. We'll go somewhere else to get a done donut. It's not worth the stop or the cost just way too costly for the quality and taste of the donut.

I hate to put down a local chain, but I didn?t like them at all. I couldn?t finish a single donut. They were way too sweet and heavily oily. My kids didn?t care for them either. Amazing customer service, though. ??

I'm going back and forth between giving 3 or 4 stars. Chose 4 but ultimately went with three because every time I come to the Mount Carmel location they are closed. Today which is memorial Day weekend, a very busy weekend, you would think that they would make enough donuts to last until closing time. Closing time is only 12:00 p.m.. but it said on the sign it said ..sorry we are out of donuts, go to one of our other locations. What if somebody drives to another location and they're out of donuts too? Perhap

My first time at the Eastgate Boulevard location the Clough Pike location was sold out of their donuts, I got a dozen glazed donuts, and I bit into a taste of heaven! They also were so kind and polite. Thanks, guys!??????????

Their donuts are among the best in Cincinnati. Service is quick and the staff is very friendly. They added arcade machines which are very fun for the kids to try while we wait in line.

Cincinnati loves its donuts. I love Marcella's. Their fare is the tastiest of all the local places I've tried. This location has the sweetest little helper, and it's a real treat to talk to her. Get there early, though. The pickings get slim after mid morning on any given day. My favorites are the cinnamon buns, the chocolate cake donuts, and the fritters. Their glazed are just perfect.

The staff are all so courteous, but the donuts are off the chain!! They are so good and have the classic as well as unique flavors, including the cronut, a donut made from croissant dough.

The best donuts in town. Very good. They have 3 locations and I love the different kinds of donuts they have. Baked fresh daily. Competitive prices with the other donut prices. Employees are very pleasant and helpful. Also they have discounted prices too. Close to closing time you can get deals too. Buy 1 dozen get 1 dozen free of course the dozen free us their pick but you can't go wrong. Don't know if that deal is all the time but it was going on when I went in. Hands Down my favorite.

I understand this business model but if the donuts sell out almost every day by 10 maybe change the hours of operation or just make more donuts... Marcella?s has THE best donuts. There are three locations on the Eastside of Cincinnati. The main bakery is in Amelia, there?s another one in Eastgate, and the third one is on Clough Pike. They have a wide variety of delicious donuts, cronuts (a cross between a croissant and a donut), and my favorite?apple fritters! They open at 6am. Get there early!! The Amelia bakery opens at 6pm if you want to pick some up for the next morning!

My husband placed a to-go order for me to pickup for my father on Father?s Day. Let me just say that Marcella?s pulled through and I think they?ll be begging me to bring doughnuts the next time I visit. The doughnuts were incredible and truly left a lasting impression on my family.

Marcella's is a favorite of mine. They're always fresh and delicious. They have the usual classic varieties and flavors, but also fun inventive ones. Bought a Cincy Savers to Marcella's Donuts, which I often do to try new places. I tried to purchase 6 donuts to try for me and my wife for a total of $11. I gave the lady behind the counter my $10 Cincy Savers and was told I needed to purchase a dozen donuts for $17 in order to use my $10 coupon. She acknowledged it was not stated on my coupon for that I needed to purchase a dozen donuts but she said it was something they were doing anyway. 1st time in here at the Mt Carmel Tabasco location..I was hesitant because of soo many people upset with a lady by the name of Carmen at the Amelia location. Grant it I know everyone has a bad day. I was worried If I did something wrong here like ask a question they didn't like they would respond 'NO DONUTS FOR YOU"! Not the case at this location . The ladies were super helpful. These are a high quality product. The only thing better in Ohio is Bills in Centerville. I will be back!

Its very hit and miss here. The plain cronut and the fritters are usually decent, but everything else is very blah tasting and regularly stale. Often the items taste like old fryer oil too, it's disappointing.

UPDATE as of 4/1/22 I feel that, after a year of less frequent visits to Marcella's, it's time to just write them off altogether and find my doughnut fix elsewhere. While the customer service is always exceptional and friendly, I can't justify paying $2 for a doughnut that is clearly not freshly made. From Cronuts, to the one topped with breakfast cereal (all of the completely out of the box thinking specialty donuts) to the classics and, of course, my favorite - the Cherry Fritter (oh yea!)...any kind you choose is going to be great! We had stopped at the Amelia shop and loved everything we tried. It's hard to find GOOD doughnuts. Not that greasy stuff at UDF. So I was thrilled to see the shop on clough pike. I really like this place's doughnuts. They put the perfect amount of glaze on them and there's never any globs of it on the bottom like at Busken Bakery. Pretty good selection of different flavors. Their kettle danishes are great. I wish they would do their own take of the cheese kettle.

This doughnut shop is the best i have ever been in. The employee that works at this location is so amazing and sweet. She is like a mother and grandma that everyone should have. She treat everyone so nice and goes out of her way to help you and has such a sweet voice. I really do love her if i do say so myself. And the doughnuts OMG are so amazing and worth every penny. Hands down the best donuts in town! It's nearly impossible to choose from their wide selection of classic and unique flavors. A small, inviting bakery with excellent customer service.

They have a great selection of fresh doughnuts! You can get your standard array of doughnuts here and are better quality than other doughnut shops, but the specialty ones are what really set them apart. You can tell they use real cream and custard for their filled doughnuts, rather than the artificial stuff they sell at Krispy Kreme or DD. They also have some really unique varieties as well. Plus, the staff is extremely kind and helpful.

Holtman's is a 4. THIS place is a 5 star donut shop based on taste alone. Better than Holtman's... nuff said. The yeast donut has a crisper exterior and softer, "meltier" interior. I'm not a fan of cake donuts but my son got one and I stole a bite. Very moist and tender. The shop is nice and the staff was friendly.

Tried to go several times during their supposed open hours, all between 7am and 9am, and they weren't open. Once we were finally able to go in, around 7am during the week, no one else was in there. The employee was extremely rude, pressuring us to quickly decide what we wanted and we had never been there before. Extremely bad first impression, especially since it took several tries to even get into the business. Haven't been back since (2 mon ago)and we live right down the street.

I love this place so much. Why bother going downtown for Holts when this place has three locations and no huge lines? They have amazing original glazed doughnuts. They have yeast and cake doughnuts, which I honestly think the yeast are better. Better texture, great flavor overall. Not to say the cake are anything to pass up! Wacky toppings too and CRONUTS. I hate writing this because so far everyone I have talked to hasn't heard of it, and I like not waiting for my doughnut fix.

Their donuts seem to have the highest fat content of any donuts i've ever had. Downright greasy. They seem to have no concern whatsoever for the health factor of products. I eat Daylight donuts and Dunkin. But i can't finish even one Marcella's: I just can't do that to my body. Threw one away today and made toast. Time this company gets into the 21st century.

I have had Marcella's before when are patients bring us a treat. But it was my first time in the bakery. Let me just say absolutely amazing group of people who I met in there.

Pretty crowded on Mother's Day as you would expect but the wait is worth it if looking for a good donut. Friendly staff and wearing mask requirements to keep you and they safe.
