I work nearby and order to go quite often. I have also dined in many times. Seriously the best homemade food around. The servings are great. Check the specials daily, try something new!

Absolutely love this place! Have had so many things from here! My favorite ever was a sticky bun latte! Pictured was some of their Valentines Day specials. Glazed Donut French toast, Sticky Bun French Toast, Half a Mess and a special Valentines Day coffee flight! ?????? Prices are reasonable and food is delicious (definitely grandma's cooking that doesn't care about the calories!!)

Very unique restaurant. With delicious sandwich?s and soups. We took home a whole bunch of baked goods. Can?t wait to try them. Worth 1.5 hour drive. Will be back.!!

I have heard that the food here is splendid but we always come here for the donuts. A huge selection of specialty donuts and our favorite are the donut holes ( especially the whole wheat ones). The place is always full, some days there is a line out the door, and the staff is cheerful. I love it when they ?force? me to try some of their new cookies, donuts or baked goods

I would highly recommend this place! The Jalape?o Popper Burger I had here was amazing, and it was one of the best burgers I have had at any restaurant since it was so unique and tasty!

This place is great! I got the mess (1/2 portion) and it was HUGE! The ordering process is a little odd, but it gives you an opportunity to view their amazing baked goods. My friend got their steak breakfast sandwich (also a massive serving) which was also delicious. The doughnuts are super tasty as well. I will for sure be coming back, and recommend this to anybody in the area!

Oh, what a yummy place! I have been here twice, and the food has not disappointed me yet. Get there early, or you'll be waiting awhile. They only take in complete parties (not your normal seating), so make sure everyone in your party is available. The seating area is small.

I finally went to mamies for the first time, they actually have alcohol in here?? I got an iced salted carmel latte it was perfect, new staff just started so please be patient and considerate of training. Definitely a great experience here will return they have every flavor imaginable for your coffee and lattes. Desserts are all homemade there as well. If you're in the area make a trip in they close around 5pm. They also sell funny socks and shirts inside as well.

In town for a wedding, we stumbled upon this quaint yet bustling small town gem. Although table service for the tail end of Saturday breakfast was spilling down the ramp, we simply headed over to the bakery side where we were treated like family in assisting with our to-go order. Waiting for our warm delicious food turned out to be the best part as it gave us an excuse to linger over their eclectic baked goods where we added a few over-stuffed donuts to our haul.

First time trying & was well worth the 1hr drive for breakfast. The portions were huge & and had no choice but to take the rest to-go. Baked goods were outstanding & so many options to choose from. Will definitely be back.

They offer decadent donuts as well as dozen/half dozen of their traditional yeast, donuts, special formula, potato donuts, and some cinnamon sugar. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful in our selection.

A gem of a place. Homemade buns n bread used for the enormous burger and "reuben" which were excellent. The wife's burger was seasoned just right, topped with an actual slice of Am. cheese, 2 big slices of tomato n great lettuce. That bun was like, if a biscuit and a yeast bun had a baby, they would make a delicious soft pillowy but dense bun. Home-brewed teas and baked goods too. A++ Really friendy staff.

This is a local gem and a must stop if you are in the area. Portions are VERY generous. Everything I have ordered over several visits has been on point. The bakery is also noteworthy. I highly recommend this establishment.

I love this place but I do avoid it when it's crazy business because it's small inside and flairs my claustrophobia. Lol it's worth it though. Because of covid, we had to stand outside in line before going in. Got in line at 11:40 AM with one group in front of us. We got in, ordered and got drinks and received our food at 12:20. This place had been recommended to us and was very busy. Lots of take-outs and tables filled up fast. Upon walking in you are treated to the sight of racks of appealing baked goods before ordering at the kitchen counter. Mamie's makes an excellent breakfast, and are well known in the area for their Reubens (which are delicious), and their donuts(which are immense). The dining room does get crowded very quickly, and after you try their food you will realize why.

Tried to have two omlettes delivered 300 feet from their restaraunt. Why didn't I just get it myself? That's a good question. I have a heart condition and it's hard for me to even walk to the bathroom. I have a weak immune system and it's not a good thing for me to rub elbows with the great unvaxxed in their shoe box sized restaraunt. This is my favorite place to eat in PA. Everything I have had here is great. We live almost 3 hours away, and when recently looking for a vacation destination, we chose a hotel nearby so we can eat here as much as possible. Try the reuben, try the doughnuts, and then try everything else. Went there for breakfast on the weekend and there was a line out the door. I love that kind of place. Never change!

It was a little drive but not too far I live in altoona. It was definitely worth the drive. The staff is nice and friendly I loved the yeast donuts they were delicious. You get what you pay for.

We tried this place for breakfast on 1/13/24 7:45am. We had a 5 star experience. They took our order immediately, and we were able to browse the baked goods selection before being seated. Don't miss an opportunity to consume one of these donuts! The specialty coffees were delicious, and the food was first rate. The steak egg and cheese sandwich is a must have! Definitely give this place a try!

Mamie's made from scratch food never disapponts. I love their doughnuts, cheesecake and pies. The Reuben is #1 and their mint and cinnamon iced teas are my must haves. My only problem is choosing what to order because EVERYTHING is absolutely amazing!

We were warmly greeted and had our orders taken in between rush times when there were lines. We had fantastic sandwiches, french fries and drinks. The Rueben is amazing, and burgers are flavor-filled. We took plenty of donuts and cookies for later and to share with family and friends who missed out on the fantastic experience. We thanked all the folks who work so hard to provide a great experience. See you all again soon!

I live 40 minutes away and always enjoyed making a trip to Mamies at least once a month. We have raved about the food to our friends and make frequent recommendations because of the portion sizes and taste. Dining area is small and wait time seems a little excessive for amount of customers, but food made up for the small inconveniences. However, our last experience will be our final trip. Great little place. Seating is tight though so be aware. The donuts are amazing and the portions are enormous but you can order halves of pretty much anything. The ordering process can be a little confusing but the staff there are super helpful. Side note, tipping is optional here. They have notices saying so and that they pay their employees a livable wage rather than waitress rates. Definitely support businesses that go this route. Pay your staff rather than make it based on tips.

You have to stand outside until someone decides to bring you in to sit down. We waited for a while to be acknowledged but no one did. By the end of our wait, it was 1:18 pm, and then we read (on the outdoor menu) they don?t serve after 1:30 pm. Worth the wait (in line) for breakfast! Once our orders were placed, we proceeded to the self-service coffee bar. Our breakfasts were served quickly despite the busy dining area. The donuts, and regular food are amazing and the service is hit or miss but the prices of the baked goods are getting a little out of hand. A cream filled donut is $5!!! So yes...a dozen of cream filled donuts would be $60. Had the maple bacon pancakes. Very sweet, and a bit cold, but the sticky buns were phenomenal! Photos don't prepare you for how tiny the dining room is, or how close the tables are. Though the place is small, it's so popular, there's usually a line out the door, so be prepared to stand outside for 15 minutes or so. Most of the food is fantastic, and the prices are very reasonable. If you use a credit card, however, there's a small upcharge to cover the bakery's cost to process it.

Best bakery, also had lunch and food was excellent! Parking is hard if they are packed. Expect to stand in line to wait for a table, it's worth it though. The checkout and ordering is awkward you have to traverse through crowds of people and staff to order, pay and also to get to the drink stations.

We drove 40 minutes to eat here. It was worth it. After walking in, you're greeted with an overpowering smell of fresh baked sweeties and goodies. The decor is wonderful. The food is delicious and moderately priced. You may experience a bit of a wait for your table as this place draws a crowd with limited seating, however the wait is worth it.

This place is absolutely delicious and every baked good left my mouth watering! I had the Mess and my husband had the breakfast tuna melt. They were both fantastic. Of course, we couldn't leave without taking several desserts with us. We will be back for sure!

Wonderful! Everything is homemade! I have been on a very strict diet lately. My mouth has not been so happy in months. I highly recommend the Reuben sandwich. Wow! Just wow! We drove over an hour to get here because I kept hearing about the amazing breakfast . This place is incredible! There was a wait out the door, but there was help yourself coffee outside. I have nothing to compare this to. Hands down the most amazing place I?ve ever had breakfast. The ordering/seating/payment process felt disorganized. The food was ok. Decent flavor but definitely on the greasey side. I felt like it was overpriced for what I received. $26 for lunch and I didn't order anything that was very complicated.

LOVE Mamie's! And the Buffalo chicken grilled cheese sandwich was the best sandwich I've ever eaten! And of course, the baked goods are always delicious! Highly recommend Mamies!
