Macri's Italian Bakery

Took a bunch of Paczki home. They are so delicious, not that sweet just perfect with coffee, tea, or alone. My favorite is the strawberry with whipped cream. The services are great, very organized, and friendly. Definitely will go back to try their food court menus.

They remodeled and it looks great inside and looks more inviting to stay and hang out. They have baked goods, gelato, pasta, coffee, pop, and can buy pasta and sauce to make at home along with other goodies. The staff is nice and prices are up there but made from scratch baked goods so of course be on the top price side. Has off street parking.

The things I could say about this place is endlessly positive. I can't say I've ever been to a place where the lady taking care of us was so awesome it was truly a life changing experience between the service and the baked goods. This review is solely on the bakery and the disappointment I have had in my experience with only the blueberry muffins. This is no exaggeration when I say that EVERY TIME I have purchased a blueberry muffin I am disappointed because it usually has only 1-3 blueberries. First time ever coming here. Staying few days in Michigan, seen this place on the news talking about P?czki's sooooo drove down to South Bend to check them out !!!! Carmela & her team are truly fantastic and we were SO happy to work with them to make the cake for our wedding in August 2022 at Notre Dame. The cake turned out so delicious and also looked gorgeous. Not sure why of the negative reviews but we had a pleasant experience and wouldn't hesitate to return. We ate italian grinder,ham and cheese panini, arancini riceballs ,and mozzarella sticks. Food was good, service was great and employees all were friendly and helpful. Everything was clean including the restrooms. We will return to eat there and get pastries from the bakery.

We went and had a quick family/friends lunch today here at the deli. We opted for the create your own pizzas and also the spaghetti and meatballs. We were able to snag a couple delicious patisseries while we were there. Highly recommend for a family-friendly destination that has a variety of options to satisfy all types of cravings.

Stopped in for lunch and had a great meal. I ordered the Orlando pasta. The dish was fantastic! Pasta is made fresh, portion is generous and the cream pesto sauce is delicious. The breadstick on the side was also very good and very fresh. My wife ordered a wrap and really enjoyed it as well. Before leaving we also grabbed dessert. I?ve been buying cakes from Macri?s for a few years and up till now the ice always been very satisfied with everything. This was my first time here and I was recommended by a colleague. I tried the fresh strawberry Paczki, it was delicious. The Italian grinder panini was delicious as well. The atmosphere is a little chaotic because there?s no clear instructions. You have to get a ticket and wait to be called if you are ordering from the bakery side. My girlfriend, child and I were in tonight for dinner. Food was great. Service was good. Though I don't understand the concept. We always come into the Deli side. For 3 of us, it is usually $70. this place is amaaaaazing. we showed up 15 minutes before closing and bought about $40 worth of pastries and cookies. highlights: BEST carrot cake EVER ong it was so delicious I'd drive back just to get it again. pistachio cheesecake was wonderful. thumbprint cookies were fantastic. and the cannolis were so good i didn't want to share.

They sell a lot of hard to find pasta sauces. Super clean with friendly staff. Garlic cheese bread and the sauce they serve it with are very good.

This is soley based on the service. The food is always and has been a 10 in my book. I went in yesterday morning just to beat the crowd for packzis to order some which I did- I was not greeted with a smile more of an annoyed glance and what do you want. It was about 7:30-7:40 am.I picked out 5 and found out I need an order of 6 for preorder- she was even more annoyed with me. Nothing friendly at all. This is the best place in south bend. The bakery is phenomenal. The food is amazing and the staff are super. If you want a good meal or some bakery items this is the place to go.

Would have given 5 stars, but my most recent visit was not pleasurable. Due to the fact that I felt like I was being rushed with my order, the lady didn't even crack a smile or anything while preparing my goods, I may or may not return. And yes, I remember her face.

Macri?s Bakery is my go to place for an amazing lunch. It?s great during the week for a quick lunch break. The San Francisco panini is always amazing along with their custom made salads and pizzas. Can?t forget to pick up a cookie on your way out. They are seriously the best cookies in South Bend. I recommend either the double chocolate or the chocolate chip peanut butter cookie.

I enjoyed a lovely Southwestern Wrap birthday in this mesmerizing Italian caf?. The decorations and art in the walls are incredible and create a warm atmosphere alongside of the constant shouting out of orders and the smell of fresh baked deserts and breads. Truly a special place to get pasta, wraps, pizza, baked goods. They?ve got parking in the back too! May take a minute to find as the signs aren?t easy to read. Outdoor seating is available too.

Came in at 4pm and ordered Chicken Alfredo from kiosk. Alfredo sauce watered down. No.silverware for dine in customers. Plastic fork is not ideal for long heavy Alfredo noodles.

The cutest little gem in South Bend! My friend & I ordered homemade pasta, (which was DELICIOUS) a wood-fired Pizza, and several items from the bakery. Everything was SO delicious, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful, as it was our first time visiting. We will definitely be back!

Glad to see the remodel is complete. Nice fresh look. Good to see the bakery offerings have mostly remained the same. Had an excellent coffee cake, blueberry cream cheese with a glaze - highly recommend. Bought some brownies, cupcakes & muffins, and cherry squares, which were, also, a crowd favorite. If you have the opportunity, you should stop by for a great treat.

Hands down the best Italian cuisine in South Bend/Mishawaka/Granger area. The food is exquisite and the service is fantastic! The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Love , love, love the food and the service. The baked goods are my top favorite. Get the amaretto almond cake. You need it in your life?? They also have THE BEST Cannoli in town. Try a TV bar too! I also like to get an assortment of cookies for the cookie jar at home. The olives and mushrooms are yummy and don't forget to pick up some Authentic pasta and sauce for cooking at home. I went in with my three small children to get gelato after their flu shots, and I asked for each child to have one scoop. This first confused the employee, who then told me I would be paying for the full price ($7) of two scoops regardless. So instead of pricing per scoop, I was charged $14 for two of my children to each have one scoop of gelato. Pretty frustrating and way overpriced. ??

A very Fine establishment that makes you feel welcomed. When you walk in to Macri?s you are noticed and greeted by employees. The owners are very humble and hardworking, you can even see them daily around the bakery and restaurant. Their food is amazing and I can?t believe they have a pasta station that is out of this world! A MUST SEE place to visit if you are coming through Southbend.

In an age of fast food and mass produced meals, this is a treasure! The bakery has choices to make your life difficult - except that EVERYTHING is good. The quality of the food is matched by the service and personality of the staff. Their service is fast, they are helpful when you are undecided, and you can call ahead and place an order. There is also a restaurant attached - I have never been but friends I know who have been RAVED it about.

I have never had a bad cookie or pastry in this bakery. The service sometimes can be slow but their product is superb. I recently tried a different chain bakery but will never go back there. Macri's is for me. They don't make a big to do about what they do, because it shows in the quality of their product. GREAT JOB!!! Highly recommend to anyone.

Amazing food and amazing service. Don?t like how they set up everything with construction, lunch it menu is only until 3 PM. Doesn?t say on Google that lunches until 3 PM. Lunch menu should be changed until 6 PM because the people that get off of work late would love an amazing appetizer or sandwich.

From donuts to cookies, cakes and bread, you can't go wrong here and I've tried just about everything they offer. Their tiramisu is wonderful. Their Vienna loaf is excellent. Got a pizza, it was really good but not very flavorful, almost but not quite. Good crust, could be better. The desserts are awesome and the selection is pretty impressive. Super nice people, very clean, family friendly.

Bakery items were out of this world. Staff Associate was very efficient and polite. Store was just busy due to large volume sales of pachikis. Maybe a more organized method for pre-order items vs walk-ins. In the store's defense, the staff were moving the customers in quite quickly.

This is far and away the best bakery in the Michiana area. All the food is top notch and the staff are invariably kind, patient, and impressively efficient. The prices are excellent, and even day old doughnuts are fought over like gold whenever they last that long at my house. If you need baked goods for any sort of gathering or get together, you cannot go wrong with Macri's.
