Almost didn't come here because it had 4.1 stars, but really glad I did. Picked up two dozen donuts for a party early on a Saturday and the Donuts are on point! This spots great. Wish it was closer to my house. If you are thinking about it, this is the spot you were looking for. Classic donut shop with great donuts.

The Bavarian cream and apple fritter were delicious. The owner was very friendly and also speaks Spanish which may be helpful for some. A+ from. Added bonus, he has some pictures of his 6 cute dogs and is willing to happily converse about them and doggies in general. Also, it's about a block away from the coast which is nice if you're staying in nearby hotel.
Lucky donuts is a real treat. I love their selection of traditional donuts, but really enjoy their alternative offers. Such as their fried apple burrito, it literally changed my life. My kids love the donuts with cereal toppings, and my wife loves the authentic Mexican pastries. Their breakfast sandwiches are good too.
Honestly, I don't know how this place has 4+ start reviews the doughnuts taste old and rubbery. I got a replacement and it was bad too... do not recommend!

We found this gem a couple years ago. Now it is our first stop every time we are in San Diego. Everything is amazing! Order the apple pie burrito- you will thank me later.
Perfectly cooked donut, really was cooked like a scone. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
This place is ran by an old man that needs to retire he got upset that I parked in front. He started to say that I needed to move my car. The lot has many businesses and I went to visit the cell phone repair shop. He started to follow me and take pictures of my car. I told him if he was so upset about my car being their to call the tow company. He followed me and started to disrespect me in front of people.
I must say, I'm genuinely surprised that this place didn't have a lengthy line stretching for miles outside. Their fritters and ham/cheese croissants are absolutely exquisite. And let's not forget the awesome apple pie burrito they offer. This place is truly a hidden gem, especially if you find yourself in this part of San Diego in the morning.

Our family has gotten donuts from Lucky Donuts 4 or more times. They are not the most amazing donuts... they tend to be either too dry or too greasy. But, we keep going back because the staff are friendly and it's the best donut place in Pacific Beach.
I'm honestly offended that this place didn't have a line a mile long outside of it. Exquisite fritters and ham/cheese croissants. The apple pie burrito is awesome also. This is a gem if you're in this part of SD in the morning.

Had the chocolate croissant and it was amazing. He warmed it up perfectly. Boyfriend had the cinnamon roll and he loved it. They had a great selection from donuts to authentic mexican pastries. Great to grab a pastry and hit the beach!
I think Covid has slowed business b/c selection is way down. Also, I had a cream filled that was definitely past due freshness (had a sour milk flavor). Hope they can get back on track.
The older man that was working overcharged me and refused to cancel the order or refund my card. This was the first time I went there and I won?t be going back. That guy is a thief.
Love their sugar donuts. Their coffee is Farmers, a local brand. The prices are average but they do bake and sell mexican bread along with a variety of donuts. They also make breakfast sandwiches using coissants and bagels, to include eggs, ham, bacon or sausage.Their open from 5am -2pm, Mon.-Sat. and Sun. 5am-12pm.
The man working here is a jerk. Do not come here if you want to leave upset and without donuts? worst service
Great donuts and breakfast sandwiches. If he was out of a type of donut he made it fresh. Egg breakfast sandwich was also made fresh when ordered.
Get there early, if you don?t want to settle for the reject donuts. No negotiating apple fritters for donuts if you want a dozen so you get stuck with lots of sprinkles. Next time I drive a little further

Unlucky donuts! How about YUCKY donuts? Donuts are a treat but not when they taste like disappointment. Tasted like they were fried in OLD oil. Should have gone for a breakfast burrito next door.

Really wanted some doughnuts for the office. Passed this place several times before, decided to give it a shot. Lady working has a horrible attitude, poor costumer service , just angry maybe because it was so early. Not sure, but made me decide not to buy the doughnuts.
The english muffin breakfast sandwich with egg, bacon and cheese was outstanding and made to order. So awesome!!!!!!!
Shop is unassuming but hands down the best donuts I have ever tried. We tried regular glazed, chocolate with sprinkles, blueberry and maple.

Says they open at 5 am. Was outside at 5:20 am and door is locked with no lights on. Guy in the back cooking saw me and just went behind the wall so I couldn't see him anymore.
