Customer Reviews

We stopped in our our way out of Menlo Park. I ordered the "oriental salad" with chicken. It was super tasty. I picked up a couple of their cupcakes and glad I did. They were a nice treat for us on the way home. Everything looked delicious. I'll definitely return to sample more!

Ordered by son?s birthday cake for 35 people 5 days before the party! Lara was so helpful in advising which cake and what flavors to go for. We went with chocolate cake with Oreo icing. Absolutely delicious cake . All the kids and their parents loved it! Highly recommend!

We got cupcakes for my daughters birthday from Lavender?n Cream and they were so amazing ! Brightly colored, with a fluffy cream top, moist, soft and delicious ! There are several flavors and we took a few of every type. The kids loved it at the party ! The special lavender cupcake has a cute lavender color and a faint aroma that makes it totally unique ! Besides cupcakes they have all kinds of sweet goodies : cookies, macarons, pastries, gelato, cake pops, cakes and custom cakes, coffee and so on. There i

If you?re searching for the best coffee in Menlo Park, look no further than this charming French pastry caf?. The coffee here is perfection?smooth, rich, and expertly brewed, easily the best I?ve had in the area because they use illy. The pastries are equally outstanding, with a wide selection of traditional French treats that are as delicious as they are beautiful. From buttery croissants to delicate fruit tarts, every bite feels like a trip to Paris. The staff is warm and attentive specially the owner of

This place is under new ownership. The pastries are delicious (I got the lemon tart, my friend got the mocha cake) and they have a wonderful selection of drinks. Some kind of unusual drinks which I super appreciate. It?s also super pretty. The ambiance is really nice. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

We were looking for a nut-free cake for my son birthday, due to an allergic guest. Lavender n? Cream had a cake ready to go and boy it did not disappoint: their passionfruit mousse cake was absolutely heavenly, light and beautiful. Did not last the celebration - it was gobbled up! Thank you again for saving us in a pinch!

Lovely shop, everything looks delicious! I visited this past weekend & selected a fruit tart to go. Absolutely scrumptious!

We were SO impressed by Lavender ?n Cream! We?ve used them twice now, 2 years in a row, for my son?s personalized birthday cake. I upped the stakes a littlebit this year and requested a 2 tier cake with custom space decor. They knocked it out of the park!! The cake looked amazing and tasted great too! We had so many people reach out to request their information too. Highly highly recommend!

I absolutely love this gem we just found. It is like heaven for me. Everything in the shop are decorated with Lavender and color. The Lavender Gelato were amazing! Awesome service! We will definitely come back soon! ??

Really delicious pastries and cakes. I ordered custom kids birthday cookies and a custom birthday cake and it was a hit! They also have Middle Eastern/ Mediterranean Cheese and spinach Fatayer. Kids loved their cake pops, cupcakes and cookies. I also tried their salads. They were freshly tossed and their portion is generous. Highly recommend!

This place was a little hard to find. Luckily, they had a little sign with a mini menu that kind of pointed you in the right direction. Went here for a tasty treat, and boy, did I find it. The lady who helped me was super nice and helpful in helping me pick the perfect desert. I was in a chocolatey mood and got the opera. It was like a tiramisu, but instead of tiramisu, it was a chocolatey version. It wasn't overly decadent or sweet. It was a perfect balance. It was just what I needed and paired it with

I tried several of their pastries and I highly recommend. They make really good custom cakes for birthdays and special events. Their petits fours are a must! They always have some ready to pick-up. I also recently tried their sandwiches and Mediterranean pies and they were all excellent!

The customer service was great- I was attended promptly despite it being a busy lunch time. I had a hard time choosing because they offer a variety of delectable looking sweets ranging from cookies to cupcakes to cake slices tarts and eclairs. They also offer sandwiches salads and coffee - a beautiful lavender color themed caf?. I chose the standard vanilla cupcake and a red velvet. I was glad to feel the cupcake was cool - ( they are kept behind a glass refirgerator display) upon tasting the frosting I

Great pastry spot for a sweet breakfast. Got the breakfast croissant on my second visit, and wow, we're not at Starbucks anymore, Dorothy! Crispy croissant, smoked salmon, classic egg, and a side of fresh salad with dressing!

I order mini Scones for a garden tea party from Lavender n cream they were the best I ever had, everyone loved and enjoyed them, not to mention the petit fours as delicious as they could be. The packaging was professional to keep them fresh till they got to Santa Rosa. Thank you for excellent service and delicious sweets

Went here around 7:30pm order a croissant sandwich and some cookies for a House warming. The croissant sandwich was the best I've ever had and the cookies were apparently the MVP of the party. Easy 5 stars

We LOVE this place. We live around the corner and come all the time. Their prices are so reasonable for the exceptionally high quality. They are always very kind and accommodating with special requests. We once ordered a gluten-free and dairy free cake for a friends birthday who has a lot of allergens. Needless to say, we were all blown away at how great the cake was even though we had such a specific request. Our favorite through is the Oreo cheesecake!

Low quality cakes and high prices. They initially made good cakes to attract customers now they?ve watered down the ingredients and jacked up prices. Now tastes like walmart cakes

Can?t say thank you enough to the team at Lavender ?n Cream, they made an amazing vegan cake for my girlfriend?s birthday. They really knocked it out of the park, she?s saving one of the little candy mushrooms because it?s ?too cute?. Thank you again!

Best patisserie! We bought the apple tart, tiramisu, coconut balls and they were all so delicious!! The place is also very authentic and you?ll feel like you are in France! We also did our engagement desserts including our engagement cake and everything looked so professional! Highly recommend for all occasions! Loved every detail

We ordered a birthday cake and cupcakes for my son's birthday. The design was amazing! They nailed it. Highly recommend.

Beautiful, delicious, and kind owners who make everything themselves! Our favorites are the opera cake, eclairs, fruit tart and apple tart. Also custom ordered a strawberry naked cake that was OUT OF THIS WORLD. So. Good. This place is a hidden gem.

WAY TOO DRY!! I was ready to forgive the fact that the cake topper fell before we sang happy birthday (you can't make them THAT thick and expect them to stay up with a single toothpick - see the picture). But then we cut into the cake and it was WAY TOO dry. The only redeeming characteristic was the frosting. Don't let the looks fool you...it's what's inside (or on top) that counts. I'd find a better place with a better tasting cake.

?I had the quinoa salad ? it was tasty and fresh! Their desserts are absolutely delicious too.?

Pretty and fancy looking cakes with a nice selection.

Perfect patisserie spot to end date night, wife was happy. Had the Opera cake and enjoyed. Cute spot.

I ordered a carrot cake for a birthday celebration here. It was so tasty and a huge hit with everyone. The "usual" baked stuff from their cases are good, but not as good as this ordered cake. I love the atmosphere here though. Their decor is so cute and calming. I love all their purple lavender themed seats and table decorations. :) And there's plenty of seating outdoors when the weather is nice.

Great little patisserie. The teu thing: amazing eclairs and other French 'gourmandises'. Very pretty: lots of lilac and lavender ( of course:)) truly a family business. Located in a lively shopping area. Go! You won't regret it.:)

What beautiful desserts! In my post-dessert haze - as best as I can recall - here are few of the dozens of thought bubbles that ran through my mind as I drooled over the display.... I was drawn to the passion fruit mousse, then the lemon tart - a beautiful miniature lemon meringue... Oh but there are swiss roll slices that are equally beautiful... And what about those pastries and cake pops in the other display?!?! But, it was a chocolate night... (Oreo cheesecake almost won. Almost.) So with the assis

Hidden treasure! We didn?t even know they had such incredible food. We have started going here for breakfast and warm evening dinners. It?s like the best French cafe food in the middle of Marsh Manor. Oh, and the pastries are delectable. Plus proper gelato! What?s not to like?

Really great bakery. We got a set of fun desserts - my favorites were the Oreo cheesecake and the almond tart, but we also thought the coconut chocolate ball, tiramisu, and cake pop were good. We?ll try the egg croissant sandwich next time we are nearby for breakfast. Prices were decent for the area. As a separate note, I?ve never seen a bakery with such great hours. Awesome to be able to swing by marsh manor for groceries or takeout and pickup dessert too.

Very tasty looking desserts, cookies, ice cream, croissant sandwiches, salads, etc. I got the cookies which were amazing! I wish they sold almond croissants or chocolate croissants though. Owned by a very nice couple - the baker was the person who took my order!

We love this little family-owned bakery! They?re the nicest family and created the best whale cake for our son?s 3rd birthday. He was looking forward to seeing it all week and it did not disappoint! It was a huge hit with all the 3-year-olds and absolutely delicious. Their breakfast croissant sandwiches are also delicious!! Support this great small business if you can!

Lavendar n Cream made my gender reveal cake and FAR exceeded my expectations!! Working with Lara was seamless, I sent her a photo of my vision and she executed to perfection. Her communication was outstanding and the final product made me and my guests gasp and overjoyed with how beautiful and detail oriented the cake was. Lara was willing to work with me and make adjustments to my order as needed, her flexibility was a standout. This was my first time working with Lara and I can't wait to work with her aga

Tried this bakery on a whim. I ordered the passion fruit mousse. I could eat this every day and nothing else! It is sooo good. Can't wait to try more of their desserts and pastries.

The staff was very friendly and kind. The place was beautiful. I ordered a pumpkin cheesecake, Oreo cheesecake and cookies. The cheesecakes didn?t taste like normal cheesecakes and the crust was very hard making it hard to eat. The cookies were good but don?t recommend the hazelnut ones.

This review is only about the tiramisu and Lavender Vanilla Cake. The tiramisu was flavorful, but the bread to ?mousse? ratio was more mousse than bread. Lavender vanilla cake had dry bread with very sweet cream. I wouldn?t purchase any of these particular cakes here.

For a $70 cake it tasted like a cheap cake. Don?t recommend

A pretty but very dry cookie it was so disappointing after one bite I had to throw it away and I love sweets?

Great selection of pastries, all done with attention to detail. The tiramisu was the perfect balance of richness without being overly sweet. Also highly recommend the lavender cake, delicious! They also have breakfast options to eat on the patio, the omelets look great too!

Wow it?s so delicious I can?t wait to come back

I got two Swiss rolls here (one chocolate, one vanilla) just now. Had a bite of each and they were both stale (especially the chocolate one). Went back to let them know about it and the guy behind the counter (who had earlier handled my order) basically argued that although the rolls might taste stale, they are in fact fresh and were made this morning (I bought them around 6pm). I was frankly quite offended by this which felt like gaslighting. I was sitting at the next door brewery when the lady from the de

5 Stars for customer service, thank you. BUT its over priced for quality of food Coffee was okay Croissant sandwiches was too pricey 10.50 for just cheese and bacon, but the Croissant was fresh Vanilla Eclair was STALE! I spit it out not edible, the pastry was hard and soggy bottom, the cream was hard Passion fruit mouse, again cream on top was stale, barely any sponge and the mouse was very sour and watery I wouldn't recommend and won't be going back

I am so happy this shop opened. The staff is friendly and the place is cute. I tried chocolate eclairs. The chocolate mousse inside was airy and the pastry itself was delicate. I like their flaky croissants too. I am looking forward to trying more pastries!

Great desserts! Had a cheesecake, and a chocolate mousse, and everything tasted amazing and fresh. The staff is also very nice

They are very friendly. I found the best passion fruit cake here! I love the tiramisu too! I visited 2 days in a row lol. Can't wait to try their breakfast and coffee next time...

It was a very long wait for my food, and there ended up being a bug in my salad!! They tried to charge me double than what was on their menu for chicken in my salad (which they originally forgot to include). The sandwich itself was tasty, and I wish I could have been able to enjoy my salad too.

Edgar and Lara run a slice of France in Marsh Manor with beautiful breakfast croissants and delicious patisseries you can enjoy in their relaxing patio.

I was really really wanting to love this new bakery. I ordered an 8" chocolate cake with white buttercream as a xmas present for a good friend, who likes that exact flavor. The cake was beautifully presented, however, as soon my friend cut into it, she could tell that the cake wouldn't be good. The buttercream was crunchy and hard to cut through and the color of the chocolate cake was very light brown. We both took one bite and we couldn't take another bite. The chocolate cake did not taste like chocolate,

Delicious desserts and ice cream, loved the peaceful atmosphere, the only thing I might suggest it?s to put a glue dot or a little piece of of tape on the bottom of the boxes to hold the pastry or dessert in place, they wiggle on the inside and kinda ruin the dessert ?? other than that super recommended ???

We had Lavender 'n Cream catering our floral degree. Cookies, fruit & sandwiches. Everyone enjoyed.

Croissant was so fresh. Salad dressing very tasty. I would definitely come back.

Very disappointing cakes :( I spent almost $60 on a very dry, but pretty cake. It?s their new lavender cake and it was a birthday gift for someone. As someone else in the reviews mentioned- the cake it?s self is VERY dry and crumbly. It felt like a total waste of money as I now need to go find a better fake somewhere else. The only good thing is that it?s quite pretty with the designs they use - just not edible. Another off putting thing for me was that I ordered a 6? and was called and told only the large

We bought a cake that we customized a day in advance and even though we were in a rush, the staff was very accommodating and delivered on their promises! The cake also turned out amazing! Definitely recommend it!

This is a very cute patisserie with amazing pastries, cheesecake, salads and sandwiches. They have the best French roast coffee and the staff are very friendly. Love it!

Breakfast was excellent. I had a egg croissant with avocado. Bacon, cheese and spinach. The croissant was amazing. Everything was so good and fresh.

A great variety of amazing pastries! Highly recommended both the deserts and the "savory" menu (sambusac). Delicious... :)

This places has a small but tasty selection of sandwiches and paninis, making for a light lunch or dinner.

Amazing and well made deserts. Very friendly service. The middle eastern pies on the side are delicious. They?re hard to find.

Had some of the best desserts I have ever tasted!

Delightful delicasies and middleeast style coffee I had too!

Tried this place a couple of times and the cupcakes are pretty average. Frosting was just plain odd. Also not cheap

Cakes are amazing. Had a custom order made, and everything was delicious AND beautifully made.

Bought a tiramisu cake. It was $53 but it wasn't good.

Very charming family owned cafe, with amazing service , great food Highly recommend this place

I like the small cups of tea that they served :-). Cakes are very tasty.

I don't know where he's from, but today I came to buy a cake and a coffee. I told him I'd like a carrot cake please. He looked at me with a what's up face and said, "Sorry, I don't speak Spanish."
