Larry's Ice Cream & Gelatos

Be prepared to wait during peak times. We waited almost 30 min....... No inside seating. Outside area has a few tables and bench. Ice cream quality is good but a little pricey. $20 for a quart of ice cream? ???? $27 for a quart of Gelato? Ouch.

Ummmm YUM! Everything so amazing! I had a milkshake the second night and my husband had the root beer float, first night we both got two scoops of ice cream. Will definitely be back!

Had some great ice cream here lastnite. Wife had the cookies and cream I went with the Butterscotch swirl in a coconut chocolate waffle cone. It was fantastic. Line was out the door when we got there. And it wasn't even 5 minutes we were up at the counter and placing our order. Very fast series

I tried the bubble waffle (very yummy) the Gelato did not taste like Italian ????Gelato but good american ice cream My friend had wanted caramel ice cream, but she woman did not recommend the ????German Chocolate?? Being coming here for over 20 years. Good quality ice cream but prices have gone through the roof. 1 adult, 2 kids, single scoop in cups and 2 gummy bears almost $30. And?. They took out their indoor seating. Now you can enjoy ice cream outside in the 90 degree heat?. No thanks. Less than 1 block away another ice cream store at a fraction of the price and indoor seating!

This place has such a charm to it. There was so much to pick from it was almost overwhelming trying to make a decision. My family stopped here after a weekend at the beach, just a a few hotels down. I can say they greet you when you enter and will give you samples to taste. Many flavors and choices to choose from. The ice cream is good, not homemade, just standard tub ice cream. I wish I could brag about the cones. One ordered a waffle cone bowl (stale), and another ordered the bubble waffle. Larry?s got it all! From hot dogs to ice cream to donuts. When we arrived there was a long line that went outside, but it moved quickly. The three employees working moved Expediently and we had our ice cream in not time. We ordered ice cream, gelato and all were delicious. There?s not room inside to sit, but there is an area outside with tables.

Came here a few weeks ago with high expectations for the ice cream, donuts, and bubble waffles. I got the coconut/oreo donut and the vanilla bubble waffles. I took my first bite and it tasted disgusting; sour, old, spoiled batter. It was not even along the lines of sourdough bread or any batter that i?ve ever tried. The icecream flavours were delicous. Larry?s was so good! My husband had a malted and I had icecream. I love that they had mini size- which was perfect! The staff was super nice! Definitely our go to place while we are in Florida.

Larry?s is Bomb! Ok walked up and lots of people eating ice cream outside. Once Inside your greeted with a large chalk menu with tons to choose from. the staff was super friendly and the gelato was Ah-mazing! I had a peanut chocolate dipped waffle cone with a large scoop of banana Carmel praline! Yum!!! Hubby ordered plain waffle cone with cookies and cream and mouse tracks as the second scoop of gelato New Favorite St. Pete stop.

Really good flavors in all varieties. We could recommend this place to everyone who likes ice cream. The stuff was helpful and gives advice for the best choice. Only the price is not so good, its pricy. Anyway we would go anytime again.

My goodness where do I start? If you are in this area, you should go to no other desert place in town. Larry?s customer service was top notch, just super friendly. The prices were actually pretty well in line with a solid ice cream shop. The fact they had a ton of varieties of crazy ice creams from Milky Way, Snickers, and garbage can plus your regulars and gelato and crepes and donuts and more more more more. Very nice young man helped us today and was patient with some of our indecisiveness. They have tons of flavors available! I asked if he could make a banana split in a cup and he said yeah, I can do that. As he handed it to me he said he?d never been asked to make one in a cup. It?s a bit pricy but soooo good! In the evening, it can be very busy with a line out the door.

Disappointed in the soft serve but regular ice cream was ok. Very expensive for what you get. Lots of flavors but not sure quality is there.

We got two ice creams and spent over $16.00. One of them was a kids scoop. The gelato was mediocre at best.

Every time we spend the day at Fort Desoto we end it at Larry's Ice Cream. This visit was early so we got some donuts. All donuts are freshly made on the spot and they have quite the mini donut selection. So good! The place is really colorful too. Lots of fun.

Great ice cream. Tons and tons of choices. I could go everyday for 3 or 4 months and never repeat a flavor. Plus they got goodies like popcorn, hot dogs, and the soda selection, let me tell you, 5 Star Michelin selection. Very good.

I love coming back to Larry?s every year and I?m always exited to come back. It is the best way to finish off spring break! I had the Superman with chocolate sauce this year and next year I think I want to try the chocolate peanut butter!! I also love how much outdoor seating they have!!

Cute place, the ice cream and guys at the counter were excellent. I am rating it 1 star because while we were there the old lady in the corner was extremely MEAN to this young employee. I am assuming she is the owner, she wasn't helping customers just walking around and belittling her employees while there was a line out the door.

I wish I could give the place negative stars but I cannot so a one will do. This place is genuinely terrible! The manger is very rude to her staff and what I assume is her frail old mother who always sits in the corner completely out of it. The staff is amazing and helpful but that manger is terrible and needs to either fire herself or have someone run the place. I will not be coming back here. EVER AGAIN. Do better Alison.

80 flavors!!! What more could you ask for??? My friend got the bubble waffle which is a literal waffle as the cone! I got two scoops in a waffle cone. Everything looked amazing and freshly made! There were delicious looking specialty donuts and rice krispy treats! Would love to order ice cream here again! The staff was friendly and helpful.

We found this little icecream shop close to our hotel. This place has it all. Very delicious. They have 80 flavors. They sell donuts and more. Thave a place for familys to sit out back.They are my new go to place when I'm here in st Pete's beach.perfect 10

Great location next to the beach . Parking is a little difficult, but the icecream was so good ! I got the waffle bubble cone , and it was nice my sister got the fruity pebble donut it was fresh and good , quite pricey for sure , but the icecream is good and the precautions for corona are taken seriously.

Great selection of soft and hard serve ice-creams, awesome doughnuts and a huge variety of other sweet treats and desserts! We tried about 8 flavours between us, each of which were great and took a box of mini hand-crafted doughnuts to go. A cool spot, some outdoor seating, and well worth a trip for some ice-cream.

Being one of the few last Florida Crackers, I was raised on Smurf ice cream at Larry's. I'm so happy that it is still around and still serving Smurf! I fled Florida because it became overrun several years ago. Am happy to visit Larry's when I go visit family.

Fantastic ice cream! Tried the Reese?s flavor. And the waffle cones were delicious. When we stopped by, the line was long and we waited well over 40 minutes but it was worth the wait!

Larry's ice cream is the best ice cream joint I've been to! With 80 or so flavors, there's tons of variety for whatever you want. They can make any flavor into a shake. The prices aren't that bad for how delicious it is, but if there's a line, it's certainly worth the wait!

Larry?s ice cream on the beach is a nice place to grab a wide variety of dessert options. The ice cream is hand scooped and the offer gelato as a bonus. I?m a sucker for old fashion dishes so I usually get the Banana Split. They offer donuts also so you can?t go wrong with the friendly staff and affordable options they give you.

Completely unassuming from outside but the inside is a different story. This place is a little slice of heaven in St Pete Beach. We came for donuts and gelato and everything here was out of this world. I got the chocolate espresso swirl gelato on a home made waffle cone and it was the most perfect treat. We also got their mini donuts by the dozen. Total perfection.

Ice cream was good but not out of the ordinary, line was long. During the wait they did offer a warm free mini doughnut sample. Which are cute, and I was excited about but honestly it left an after taste of dirty oil in my mouth, we went around 9pm. Staff was nice and once it was our turn we got our Ice cream pretty quick. They have a lot to choose from, they also serve food, milkshakes, donuts and more!. And due to the area, they have limited parking.

After moving back to Florida, I was so happy to discover that Larry's Ice Cream is still open! In the late 80's and early 90's, I pretty much grew up on their peanut butter fudge ice cream (which still tastes the same today!) and vanilla coke.

Incredible service by the young man who helped us. Willing for us to try various gelato flavors, offered us a mini donut as a sample when I found out we couldn?t buy them individually. What a great spot! Only wish there was indoor seating on such a hot day out! Definitely recommend this place for the food and service! We were excited to try this place. Several review were really good. That is why I was so disappointed. We both got smalls, costed over $12 and they were TINY. My ice cream was just about frozen and had a freezer burn taste. I don't think I even ate 1/4 of it. I believe it was the Pirates one. My husband got a banana flavored one and it was okay. So all in all were disappointed and wouldn't go back. Sorry

I was gonna get ice cream while in St. Pete, thought about Bas*in, saw a long line at Larry's, I made the best choice! All kinds of flavors, waffle and regular cones, cups, shakes, DONUTS!! Supporting home town stuff! Definitely worth a stop!

Line was out the door and I would've passed but my family insisted. We got in pretty quick they had a lot of people working so don't let the long line scare you. Ice cream was good we all liked it. Lots of choices. We will definitely be back again and won't let the long lines fool us.

Seriously. This place is a joke. $3.49 for the absolute smallest scoop of ice cream I?ve ever seen served anywhere. I?m not sure where the stars they get are coming from. I know most people wouldn?t accept this. Ordered almond joy and snickers. I received peanut butter and something with butterscotch. I can accept the mistake. The ice cream is okay but nothing special but the prices compared to the size is a serious joke
