I am a huge Simpson fan, and of course, a huge pink sprinkled donut fan. I have wanted to try this giant donut for years. Well I finally did. I knew going into this that it probably wasn't going to be great. I was right. ?? Unfortunately, the donut tasted stale and it didn't have much flavor. Honestly though, I was getting it for the nostalgia. Where else can you get this giant sprinkled donut. Lol. I'd get a regular one next time instead.
I purchased this donut kicking and screaming because I assumed it would be dry and unappetizing. I was wrong. The big pink, which satiated three of us, was moist, perfectly sweet and delicious. In private, I could eat the entire donut on my own. Next time, I'll try the apple fritter.
Mmmmmm, donuts. Excellent and big donuts. If you love the Simpsons or donuts, you must try these donuts
I got a pack of 4 chocolate donuts for the family. It wasn't exactly stale I would say. But it was dry like a prepackaged donut that was opened and set out for display. It was ok. But for the price you would expect they fry one fresh for you. It was about 14 for 4. I'd have to say it was ok to the kids, but I'd probably never buy anything there again. The people were polite and service was fine. Just kinda garbage food for the price. You expect Krispy cream quality or higher for that much. Overall experi
Bought the humongous pink donut for $9 and some change because my teens insisted on it. I don't understand the hype. Basic, dry as a desert pink donut with sprinkles, and the workers that was there on 12/20/22 am were kinda rude - - as if the customers wanting donuts were a burden to them. I forgot to take photos of the Apple fritter I also ordered -that was a disappointment as well. I couldn't taste the apples or cinnamon in it. The cookies n cream D'oh nut were pretty tasty, however. Love the photo op wit
This is a spot in the park worth stopping by to grab a huge donut with pink frosting and sprinkles. The lady at the counter was super nice and she had a stock of individually boxed giant donuts ready to sell. We were not expecting much of a quality donut but I must admit that the donut was pretty tasty. Since I am a huge Simpsons fan, I didn?t mind paying $12 for one giant donut. This is not a sit down spot but more of a kiosk stand with few order to go windows. There are some benches and tables around in c
They have pretty big donuts and to be honest for the price they are not that bad. They are pretty filling. If you like donuts I think it is pretty decent and you won?t be disappointed.
My son loves the Simpsons and we weren?t leaving Universal Studios without ?The Big Pink?. Yep, it?s huge. I put a pen next to it for size reference in the second pic. The donut was delicious. The whole Simpsons area at Universal was fantastic.
We were lucky enough to be next in line when a fresh batch arrived on a busy thanksgiving week trip. I ordered 3 donuts for 8 people. 2 easily would?ve been enough. These things were massive. They were fresh and delicious and I?m really glad we got them. We took the last one back to the hotel to enjoy later. Which was fine, but of course, taste best fresh!
Had the vanilla ice cream with caramel and fudge. It melted fast but it tasted pretty good. I would've liked for them to have added more toppings though, and when they served it to me it dripped all over my hand.
Okay, my family was so pumped to get one of these at universal. The frosting was melted and the temp was in the mid 70s. The donut was completely saturated with grease yet somehow dry in the middle. It was $9.99 for the donut and 5 of us shared it with a portion size equal to one regular donut. Overall, I would not buy again but for nostalgia it gets 3 stars.
We ordered the Big Pink, mostly to say that we tried it. Our expectations were low, specially because we bought it late into the evening. However, we were very surprised of how good this donut was. It was very soft and very very tasty. We were pretty blown away with the quality of the pastry as a whole. This is a must try at this park. We took it back to our AirBnB and had enough for another 2 desserts. Enjoy y'all!
I of course had to come and get a donut while we were at the park. First of all a pro tip there is candy store right inside the entrance of the park and you can get the giant Lard Lad Donut there as well. Now onto the giant donut. Its really good. Soft and delicious with bright pink frosting. I don't think pictures convey just how big it is. Don't try and eat it by yourself as I don't think you could do it without feeling sick due to all the sugar. My wife and I split one still couldn't finish it.
Can you go to Universal without getting a Lard Lad donut... Nope! Great sharing snack between a family and just behind the stand is a hidden away seating area. Perfect for a little break and to people watch around the lake!
Awesome experience the donut was $10.99 and worth every penny it was so soft moist and had a flakey glazed portion under the pink glaze so delicious
I picked up an apple fritter here and not only was the thing massive but it was also delicious... Heard mixed reviews about the regular doughnuts but I can't complain about this... Even better slightly heated in the microwave!
The big pink Homer Simpson donut is adorable for the gram and that's where it stops. It was $9.99 for fried dry stale bland bread with icing. Cute as heck but inedible. Can't speak for the smaller donuts which looked better than the big fried dry bread. Coffee was also sub par. I wish someone had told me beforehand. Just trying to help others here spend their money at Universal which is across the board expensive more wisely.
Great donuts! Try the donut sundae!! It?s delicious. This place is right next to bumble bee man tacos too. So you can get breakfast and lunch and desert all at once.
Pretty good doughnuts that are a bit pricey but to be expected in an amusement park. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is due to how messy the counter was. It looked like someone has spilled a ton of coffee right next to the pay/pick up window. The clerk didn't seem to know or care. And it looked like people were throwing their used cream cups back into the bin even though the trashcan was literally less than 3 feet away.
Lard Lad is awesome!!!! They are always fresh that day and delicious. The Big Pink and Apple Fritter are $7 but huge!!!!! You could easily Split with three people. Don?t miss out this quick service if your in Universal Orlando.
My husband and I stopped by to get the big pink donut. Legitimately it was probably one of the best donuts I've ever had. There were picnic tables right behind the building so you can rest your legs while you eat. I would go out of my way to have another one of these donuts.
Excellent donut! Felt just like Homer Simpson at work
It is a must try in Universal Studios for all Simpsons fans. We recommend a giant donut. Basically it's like a million calories in one box, but great.
The worst donut I've ever had. It was way overpriced and legitimately tasted so old like rock hard cardboard. I actually spit it out! Would never get waste my time or money on it again. So dissapointing. Our local gas station donuts are 10x better at Quality Dairy.
This place has awesome donuts! The giant pink one is a meal unto itself, but it is amazing. See the knife in the bottom of the photo for scale. Grab a donut here, you won?t be disappointed!
Donut was delicious and huge. The "Big Pink" was also only $5 which seemed reasonable for inside the park.
Get the apple fritter! It only cost something like $7 and it is as big or bigger than the $11 donut. It was so delicious. One of the best kept secrets at Universal.
The lard lad donuts tasted exactly how i thought they would taste. It was a nice treat to share this large donut with a friend and eat to our hearts content. Give it a try after you finish at cleetus? chicken joint or krusty burger.
Was good, small donut selection and ice cream as well. Taco truck next door. Huge pink donut and huge apple fritter!! Enough to share!! Really!!
My kids INSISTED on Big Pinks & since we we were on vacation I seldom say "no." It was $23+ for two big stale "donuts." We actually fed most of them to the ducks in the pond right behind the donut shop. Cool photo op & concept but don't expect it to be tasty or worth the money.
Donut was soooo stale and service was ok. Not worth the money
big boy donut ! ?? (ft my sis and her husband eating the classic) So soft , especially for being so lard ! :) A must-get!
The donuts here are pretty good!!! The are Fran tasting too. Which was shocking. But sit outside and chill with your donut and enjoy the vacation. Go take a picture with the chief of police. This place was well thought out and very fun. Look across the way and you can see some characters getting frisked for graffiti on the gate.
If you are hungry, try the "Big Pink". Its a cake sized giant pink donut that's pretty good, but very filling.
We had the giant pink donut and I really was expecting something dry and not that good. However, the breading was moist and the glaze and icing were very good. We ate it faster than expected. We had planned on left overs for home. It was priced well for something that big and good in a theme park.
It was a basic donut in my opinion, it was more of the atmosphere I guess.
This was literally the best donut I had in my life. I got the cinnamon sugar donut and my kids got that famous pink frosting one.
So disappointed!!! The ONLY thing I wanted at HHN . Was this doughnut to be greeted by workers in the store telling me there will not be doughnuts tonight. Soul crushing!!!
Had to get The giant pink donut from Lard Lad Donuts. Very tasty! Instagram: food_and_travel0
10 bucks for a donut bigger than your head! A very good deal, delicious too! We had this donut as our lunch and were full for a few hours. Highly recommend!
Surprisingly great doughnuts. The big pink is a must, also recommend the doughnut ice cream sundae.
It's a giant donut! Yes, it is an iconic part of enjoying the park's immersive attractions. Kids loved how unique it was in size, had fun holding it next to their face, and if could feed all 4 of us. Beyond that, it's a donut, same taste you expect most anywhere. Frosting was nice and soft due to the heat.
It really doesn?t get much better than a HUGE, delicious donut for a reasonable price! It also counts as a snack credit on the Universal Dining Plan and can be easily shared between 2-4 people. Has a surprisingly perfect donut texture for it?s size.
Amazing donuts we love them
We stopped here just for the ice cream. While it was overpriced (like anything you will find in the park) it was very nice with a moderate portion. We really enjoyed the warm Carmel on the vanilla sundae. Very quick compared to many other places in the park.
Just like in the Simpsons :) not the best donut in the world but fun for props and pictures
The most dry donut I ever ate. Icing was so liquify and dripping everywhere. Box of 4 for 12.99$. Waste of money to be honest!
We have the annual pass, and they never have enough ice cream or the machine is broken, please fix that, we've been going there for almost 8 months and we still haven't tried the ice cream donut. Thank you. The donuts are a 10/10
Great theming and they sell huge donuts as well as regular sized donuts
VERY moist, soft and delicious! Most people don't know this, but you can get this donut at the bakery just inside the park by the main entrance of Universal Studios. They have plenty of fresh ones like this, boxed and ready to go with no wait!
Massive donut which tasted great, though a little bit pricey now. Have to have it for the experience though
I loved the small pink doh'not. It was plump and so delicious! It was so hard to hear anything because of Chief Wiggum's police car siren going off every few minutes. I feel so bad for the employees who have to hear that everyday.
We waited on a hugh line only to find out they ran out of doughnuts! It was 5:00 pm and I assumed they would keep replenishing through the day since it was madri gras. I wish they would have posted a sign saying they had ran out.
One of the more affordable options for ice cream and coffee. If you are not fan of the Simpsons you can still enjoy the sweet deserts. But for anyone that watches the Simpsons you will love the show references.
The donut and ice was good. I would go back.
If you go to Universal Studios you have to go to Lard Lad Donuts and get the big pink. It feeds 4 people and it is actually really good. It's even good the next day.
I got the big pink donut and it was very good. My kids got ice cream, and they enjoyed it very much. If you go you have to try the big pink donut!
Bought the big pink one thinking it would make for a cool picture. Didn't expect much from the actual taste of the doughnut. Pleasantly surprised by how good it tasted. Now a tradition with my kids.
if you get the big pink make sure it?s fresh first. Get your 1,600 calories worth. Mine tasted like it was a day or two old
These are the largest and most delicious donuts I've ever had!! It took two people to finish just one donut, and they are not as expensive as one might think
Delicious ice cream and creative donuts.
Fantastic ice cream! Fantastic Apple fritter! Honestly you can?t get a better snack and break than at the Simmons world
The Big Pink is a huge donut for a great price! It?s about the size of 3-4 normal donuts, and it?s included in the dining plan!
Mmmmm Doughnut. These are huge and good.
Get a huge pink donut - split it with the family. The donut was delicious and ended up being one of our kids favorite non-ride stops in the park.
Lard Lad Donuts at Universal Studios was good. We had the donut sundae. We would recommend.
The pink doughnut was ok, not a lot of flavor in the icing. Line went quick and price was ok.
Long line but the kind lady at the window and the big pink donuts made it worth it. Delicious, we even tried the bacon maple donut!
Big donuts, small donuts, pink donuts, brown donuts, donuts with ice cream, donuts with hot fudge, donuts sundaes, donuts with sprinkles, apple fritters, waffles, waffle cones, waffles with ice cream, donuts and waffles, waffles and fritters, donuts, fritters, waffles, cones, ice cream... I think that just about sums it up... all delicious too!
so good...love the big pink donut!!!
We had to get the giant donut. We planned on only eating half of it but couldn?t resist.it was good surprisingly not overly sweet. We washed it down with a duff beer.
Donut was dense. Soft serve vanilla was enjoyable. Would not have again. Stick to Dunkin Donuts or your local supermarket donuts.
Great Donuts!! Delicius. And my new friends...
Get that big pink donut! But make sure you get a fresh one because they try to hand out those day old ones.
Best place to get a huge Lard Lad Donut in Springfield. Be sure to grab a picture with Chief Wiggum while you are there.
Delicious donuts the size of your head, what else could you ask for at the Simpsons themed part of the park?
Best doughnuts I?ve ever had, and they were so big too!
The doughnuts are huge and delicious. Get one on your way out to enjoy at the hotel!
Get the Giant Pink Donuts you'll thank me later. The absolute best snack at Universal. ??
Great place for some quick donuts!
Multiple family members became severely ill after eating the pink donut and the apple fritter this past day. Not pleasant at all!
Great experience to here. The donut was huge. My kids loved it
They are drier than the Sahara. 2 stars for the nostalgia but otherwise 1 star.
Good fresh donuts. Carted out the morning of from the kitchens next door. They were out of apple fritters though.
The big pink is big and delicious looks like a cake tastes like a donut perfect for a family
i have peaked in life due to the donut.
This is a pleasure to have all and I really like food
