You cannot go wrong with anything you purchase from this bakery it is literally the bomb.com. I came all the way from San Diego to try this amazing bakery. And let me tell you it was worth every mile hour and day that it took to get to it, I would absolutely come again . The only disappointment I have is with the customer service . The girl up front was friendly enough just doing her job and taking orders from the person working behind the scenes in the back room. I asked her if I can have my items that I p
Purchased approximately 60 dollars worth of mostly empanadas. Told them yesterday over the phone that we were taking 4 dozen empanadas accross the country driving to San Diego and dropping some off along the way to my mom. I asked for 4 separate dozens. Upon arrival staff said wouldn't bag them since they boxed them. I insisted and staff walked to the back and asked permission to bag them but was told they couldn't. I was sold the bags so I could pack them myself ( I could care less if bags cost a dollar
Sweet bread is so soft, frosting on cupcakes is a delicious buttercream. Old fashion set up. I love it!

Bread is freshly made, yes. I had the empanadas and was surprisingly disappointed. I hadn?t been here in years and was expecting the same taste that made them so popular many years ago. The recipe must have changed. I found the empanadas, which have a pumpkin filling, to be extremely sugary. It was mostly sugar beaten into the pumpkin filling. Drove down from Houston for the pumpkin empanadas that I?ve had since I was a child. Only to be so disappointed with the skimping of pumpkin filling in empanada. It?s nothing but bread. All other pan dulce is good, but pumpkin empanada just isn?t it anymore

The best!! I grew up most of my childhood in raymondville and this is our go to bakery. I even got my husband to love this place and he?s from El Paso he?s never tasted good bread like Lara?s.
I live in Houston and I don't get out that way too much. A buddy of mine from Raymondville turn me on to Lara's Bakery and they are without a doubt the best empanadas I've ever eaten. I wish I could find a bakery like that here in Houston. Every time I get down that way I buy about five dozen because they freeze really well. Hopefully going to get down there soon. I miss having a good empanada.

I don?t know how we could have missed this local shop, but a big shout out goes out to Agua Cristalina (supervisor Lina) for introducing us to this local shop they truly have the best casera empanadas. They are delicious, soft and fresh!
Lara?s Bakery has been around for a long time and has been one of the best places with sweet bread and cookies and etc.... I have never had better bread anywhere than here in Raymondville, Texas. I am now stationed in England and boy am I missing this place. Such an iconic and wonderful place
This was my first time here at Lara's. My Dad and I are visiting family here in Raymondville and they told us we HAD to go Lara's Bakery. Now Houston has some pretty good bakeries but I kid you not that NOTHING compares to the quality of freshness you experience in every bite. I highly recommend Lara's Bakery as a must visit destination to anyone venturing out towards the valley.

This place is the BEST bakery! I have children who are now grown & married and live up state. I am asked to please bring some bread from Lara's. They have a great variety from cookies, donuts, shells, empanadas ect. They also have fresh coffee . Great place. Great freindly service.

I take my daughter here all the time. It really is a cornerstone to me as a resident in Raymondville. You want a quick morning treat and a coffee. This is the place to go. Amazing service the treats are fun and there are tons to choose from. Do yourself a favor and make sure you stop by here.

Best bakery in Rio Grande Valley. Many people that travel down to the RGV make quicks in Raymondville just to take boxes upon boxes of Lara's sweet bread back up north with them. Worth the stop with very little wait.
Drive all the way from SA for this or have family delivery on their way up! The best anywhere for sure. Just wish they would bake more so they don't run out before we can get there!
Employee of laras bakery..we always keep everything clean. Wash and sanitize hands. Try our best for good costumer service and never use our bare hands to handle bread..i do agree pumkin empanadas are awesome, cream cheese empanadas, long johns and laras big honey buns are the best!
