Peanut butter cookies had a good flavor but were dry and crumbly. The pastries we tried were all made from the same pastry dough and were too dry for our tastes. Also, not enough fruit filling in any of them. The bakery itself is clean and updated.

I'm so glad we came across this place. There are so many selections of breads that you won't know where to start. I definitely recommend you try the sweet bread and their cookies. We literally come here every two weeks, and they never disappoint. The staff is friendly and very welcoming. They also sell cakes, and on certain days they have tamales for sale.

Delicious Mexican pastries! Tried a new one, it was some sort of sliced sweet bread with butter and sugar spread on it... sounds basic but it was absolutely delicious. Stop in here for a treat, you won't be sorry!

I like mine with ham as well. The 3 leches was a bit dry, I like mine super moist. I just went for a cheesecake, and I have to say I?ve never had one without graham crumbs! ?? I think I make a better one at home and a better 3 leches. Almost $40 for that? No thanks. Chicago & Aurora area have better bakeries with reasonable prices

Absolutely fantastic! We stopped here before our trip to Starved Rock. It was so cheap with great service. We got almost 10 pastries for $10. I hope to have the chance to come visit again!

Great mexican sweet breads at this bakery. Try their tres leches cake is excelent. Now they have Pan de Muerto sweet traditional Mexican bread.

It's awesome,iam from Chicago and this is one of the things I miss from Chicago a Mexican bakery,there something nostalgic about them.The staff is friendly and they have so many things to choose from.

Ordered two cakes for a special event and we agreed I would pick it up the next day. Didn?t even have my order ready!!! I asked why they didn?t even call to let me know and the lady at the front said, ?We didn?t have the ingredients? huh??? why wouldn?t you call me and let me know that? Would always buy my cakes/flanes here for work parties but never again. Owner was called and only gave me a $5 discount on a random cake I had to get out the fridge. They wouldn?t even write ?Happy Birthday? on it!!!

So great! I was hiking at starved Rock and took the 10 minute drive to La Salle to get some baked goods. There was a great selection here and very friendly service. Check it out!
