Kingston candy bar is LITERALLY the absolute spot you must visit when in kingston, NY! It is like stepping back in time in an old candy store combined with stepping into willy Wonka's workshop. First the smell of desserts baking will get you. But then you see all the old time and current day candy, and then the ice cream!!! It's so good. The creamest ice cream you will ever find! Locally made too! It's a mom and pop owned and run store in the heart of historic kingston. They have every candy you can imagi

The salesperson was very nice and helpful, but the candy we bought was stale, old and some of it inedible. Before buying I gave pause because the place didn?t look like it kept good fresh inventory, but after reading the recent stellar reviews on here I gave it a try. It was a real disappointment.

Warm, welcoming and helpful as soon as you walk through the doors, I had only stopped in for their raspberry jelly doughy nuts but sadly sold out the day before, but they offered to make them if I?d like to come back in an hour or so or they would have them Saturday, amazing customer service right ?? Instead I bought the Galette de Rios, a light, flaky pastry with sweet almond paste inside; Toasted marshmallow bar, sweet and sticky with a nice dense chocolate cookie/brownie base; chocolate covered whoopie p

I got vegan chocolate covered Oreos and they were delicious! 10/10 would satisfy my chocolate craving again.

This is a real deal, old-school candy store. Very friendly staff including Diane, the owner, who besides running the store so well has contributed countless hours to supporting the community in a variety of ways? Soup kitchen, donations, volunteering, etc. the candies you will find in here will remind you of your childhood if you're a certain generation. The ice cream is from a local maker and it's delicious. The truffles and fudge she makes are fantastic and creative. She makes some pretty fantastic donuts

My daughter loves this place, her eyes go wide she is pulled in many directions to where she wants to go and asks for EVERYTHING, as a child should. I love how kid friendly they with an age appropriate movie everytime we've visited to the assortment of candy, I am even brought back to my childhood. Their specials draw me in all the time and they never disappoint. The staff is always so friendly and light up when they see my daughter, makes you feel at home.

Kingston Candy Bar is a staple of Kingston and for good reason! They not only offer bulk candy, but lots of unique homemade treats like giant peanut butter cups and other confections. Even vegan options! The staff is also very helpful - I came in looking for decorative Xmas sprinkles and the owner sold their own personal supply to me. 10/10 all around!

This is my FAVORITE place in Kingston. The staff is awesome and the home-made candy is AMAZING. Plus her treats are BEAUTIFUL!!

Kingston Candy Bar is a walk into the best memories of childhood with its huge assortment of novelty candies and attentive, warm service--without any pressure to buy. In addition to the old-fashioned candies, there is plenty of homemade chocolates, fudge, cookies and other treats. The owner, a graduate of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America, has put her heart and soul into this oasis, providing the perfect landing for all who enter. When I have visitors from out of town, they cannot go home until

The place is amazing and staff is always friendly and helpful! There was a specific candy my son wanted that was in high demand and I had reached out to them via facebook about when they were going to be restocked. They replied immediately and were able to get me the item quickly and had let me know when I?d be able to come pick it up. I loved how easy it was! I?ve never had such great service before! Such a great experience!

An absolutely incredible array of tasty sweets. The owner seems to have endless creativity. Old school, new school, all the schools. Felt like a kid in a candy store ?? A definite destination. If you are within 50 miles of Kingston, get your butt over to Kingston Candy store.

The real deal candy store!! Not only do they sell many old favorites, but the owner makes treats every day! Creative fudge flavors, amazing cookies, s?more-style treats, ice cream & more? always worth a visit to see what?s fresh that day.

Loved this old school candy shop, complete with $1.00 surprise bags.

After eating and shopping our way through the Berkshires. It was nice to come back to Kingston. We had stopped in a candy store in Stockbridge and they weighed out 2 pieces of candy ( one a dark chocolate bar and a pecan turtle). When they told me that 2 pieces were going to be $38, we decided if we really want quality candy to look no further than our own backyard. Walking into Kingston Candy Bar is always a pleasurable experience. Diane Reeder is always pleasant and takes interest in her customers. Her

Diane specially made gingerbread cookies for our anniversary party, they were a hit with all attendees! And you must try the happy husband or one of the s?mores brownie bombe things! Always smells delightful in there-the cinnamon toasted pecans are divine

Diane & Staff always have a great attitudes and are very attentive to their customers. Their selections are awesome and always taste so good. Keep up the good work and ignore the keyboard warriors.

Went for the first time at the snowflake festival, the guy I ordered from was very pleasant, I got a sparkly hot chocolate with a huge marshmallow and it was amazing! They gave us a little bag of free popcorn too I?ll definitely be back

it's dirty inside, the candy is the same as what you can get at the dollar store, literally, I've gotten the same candy at the Dollar Tree, for cheaper. the ice cram is good, but it's Jane's ice cream, I can get it at local grocery store for less, or direct from them at the farmer's market.

This could potentially be a great store. The candy variety is so nice. There were some things there I hadn't seen in a while and it was nice to see a variety of licorice!(no fudge tho... so sad). The girl/lady working there looked as if she'd rather be somewhere else and really didn't have much patience for my 8 year old....

It?s actually a bit of a depressing shame that you can mess up a candy shop, but here we are. It?s not clean or organized and there aren?t scoops to pick out candy, which means each jar is filled with? other people?s hands? I not one to give a poor review but I?m doing it in the hopes that they change or hire and organizer or cleaning crew. Sad. ??

I always order my cakes here for bday parties. They are so nice and efficient. The cake and candy is delicious! I am a happy regular!

Having a candy store in this area is hugely fitting and this is an especially great candy store. The owner is a generous lady who used to run the Queen's Galley soup kitchen. (Disclaimer: I used to work here, but haven't in years.)

My family and I love this candy store. It's fun and inventive. In the summer we take evening walks into town to get icecream from Kingston Candy Bar and in the winter we get hot chocolates with marshmallow piggies floating on top.

I had a ridiculous experience here. I walked in and asked to try the chocolate ice cream. The young girl behind the counter rattled on about how some issue with the electricity had caused all the ice cream to be too soft to scoop. I asked for a cup of lemon sorbet, which looked fine to me. The girl behind the counter said it was also too soft, that it would make a mess if she tried to scoop it, and that I should come back in half an hour. I said I wouldn't be around in half an hour and suggested she put it

Going to Uptown Kingston stop in to Kingston Candy Bar for a true old time sweet experience Lots of fun candies available but that?s not all also are gourmet treats from CIA trained chef proprietor Diane Reeder - think donuts fudge pecan pralines chocolate and more Plus bring your pup and you?ll get pup ice cream too Visit Kingston Candy Bar and ENJOY

When ever I am in the Kingston area I have to stop in and grab some goodies from the Kingston Candy Bar. Diane and family make some amazing fresh treats on the daily. Not to mention the large variety of candy lining the walls of the candy store. Old fashioned candy store where you choose the candy from glass canisters. Scoop it out or with tiny tongs ?? Our favorites from the shop are the Happy Husband Bars, The moonpies, and the Widow Maker....ohh and i recently tried one of their Dark Chocolate Raspberry

I'm biased, my wife owns this candy store. It is fun; she has a lot of different items and variety. There are vegan, gluten free, and some sugarfree options. Stop on by and have fun!

$5 for a1/2 cup of ice cream in a bowl?! The shop's energy was off and found it to be dirty and unorganized.

TERRIBLE experience here today!! DO NOT USE ONLINE ORDERING!!! Placed an order yesterday at 7pm to pick up a couple treats they usually keep in stock today at 1pm. Showed up at 1:30 and the lady working just said ?we don?t have that? and said she didn?t see the order this morning so she didn?t make it? She did NOT offer any solution, instead I had to ask if she could still make them for me ASAP. She seemed annoyed and said it would be a while? I had to ask exactly how long. She did not offer anything for my

Yummy homemade treats, offered me a gift box when she found out they were for my girlfriend. Happy to support a local business. Owner is sweet and very friendly.

$8 for half a scoop of ice cream. Don?t waste your time stepping in the door. Place is a joke.

I can't say enough good things about this place. The selection and options are so numerous and imaginative and humourous they boggle the mind (think "unicorn poop merengues" as an example). And then the incredibly helpful, positive, and genuinely friendly proprietress (and daughter) just knock it out of the park. Throw in some vintage board games to play while you consume your confection of choice, and I'm not sure I can think of a better place to end an evening.

Went in looking for the advertised vegan chocolates. The girl with the pink hair said she didn't know or not if the chocolate on the shelf was or wasn't vegan. Showed me chocolate in the case and said " I'm not sure if this is vegan, but it should be". I said I wanted a gift box of chocolate. She began attempting to put together a box, which she couldn't figure out. Then got another box and couldn't put that together either. So I was left with a box that she couldn't operate and chocolate that may or not be

I went in to purchase some candy. In the middle of helping me her cell phone rang. It was a personal call, that wasn't important. I stood there for 2 or 3 min while she catted on about nothingness, then I walked out. How rude! Customers aren't important to them.

The owners of the Kingston candy bar are the nicest most caring people you Will ever meet! Thank you very much!

A joy to both the eyes and the tounge. This place is run by someone with love for the craft of candy and amazing skills. You have to pop in and treat yourself. Chocolate and peanut butter, yes please!

I'm adding a friendly review so that the negative one below isn't on top! This is a fun, friendly, family-run sweets shop on the main drag of a small town. What more could you want?!

We got donuts for our wedding. They were delicious, festive, and they gave us a few extra to try out! Everyone loved them.

Great selection, and the owner/operator is simply a joy to talk to. CIA trained and her homemade treats are extraordinary.

I really enjoyed my ice cream there. I love going to Mom and Pop places because they are the real reason why I love to travel and have good and different types of foods.

Family owned. Delicious desserts made on premises. Friendly staff. What more could you ask for. Oh btw you need to try the "Happy Husband". Simply Delectable!

Afternoon fun with the kiddies to get out and enjoy the biggest assortment of sweets that are available in one place! And the fact that you can walk the uptown scenic streets and let the sugar rush lead the way....

So many sweets, so little space! Keep turning around, there's always something amazing behind you! Make sure you stick around for a fresh fried donut.

Jane's Ice Cream by the scoop and the pint (and free sprinkles!). Every candy imaginable, bulk style. A dispenser for pixy-stik flavored sugar. A happy, happy place.

All the candy you could ever want. Small place but there is a large variety of candies. Ice cream and there peanut butter pies are really good.
