We just moved to the area and have been to Kim?s Bake Shop a few times now. It has now become a staple in our house! Our little ones love when we go. The food is always delicious, including their gluten free options. I can?t even tell they are gluten free and are so good. Plus, their French press coffee is the absolute best! The staff has always been very friendly when we have gone in as well! So happy we found an amazing bakery ??

Wedding Cake Delicious! We allowed the baker creative license in style with our color choices, the results were in the newer method of spoon sculpting. She did not disappoint. They also coordinated with the venue for delivery and set up.

I adore baking at home which is why I didn?t go into Kim?s Bake Shop at all, for years. But, OMG she knows how to bake! I have never tasted cookies or donuts made by a bakery that are as delicious as hers. I have to give a shout out to Kim and the cakes that she bakes. We reached out on Tuesday to order a cake and she was able to have it ready by Friday. It tasted amazing, like when you attend a wedding and have really amazing cake. I want to support local businesses and I want to support them even more when they bake delicious cakes!

This place never disappoints! The coffee is great, pastry selection is incredible, and it all is so meticulous and perfect. Mixed in with the 'local' vibe the Nickel gives off next door, this is the place! Whether you sit with a French press and a fresh danish, or take a dozen donuts to go.

Met a friend for coffee and a treat Friday, May 30th. Got the French press coffee and the fruity pebble doughnut. One of the best doughnuts I?ve EVER had! It had the texture of a cake doughnut but not too heavy with a perfect slight crisp on the outside. There was no glaze (I prefer this to keep it from being too sweet) but the icing was the perfect amount and had just enough fruity pebbles on top. Was hiking with friends at the Hillsborough River Walk on Saturday morning and decided we needed coffee and a nibble afterwards. We're big Wooden Nickel fans so we decided to give Kim's Bake Shop a try. Loved it! Fantastic locally owned pastries, quiches and coffee. Great folks, great food, and one of the only places open downtown on Mondays. They've always got a quiche and it's almost always got a vegetarian option too. You can also pick up beer to go!

Phenomenal? Every single thing is delicious. I highly recommend the cinnamon apple fritter, quiche, bread and their pot-pies.

Bakery items look good however I didn't get a good vibe from the place, no hello's when I walked in perusing through the baked goods. The place wasn't busy at all.

Artisan bakery and coffee/tea house with lovely employees and a lovely vibe. Pastry?s are a level up from many triangle bakers; They are made with quality ingredients and the pastry skills are there. Kim?s can by no means compete with the Owl bakerys, Hole Donuts or Bolted Breads of North Carolina. Flavors are punchy and interesting but not quite in balance. I?m glad Kim?s isn?t afraid of a little bit of sourness, tartness or bitterness in their baked goods. But the harmony of Ingredients isn?t perfect

My new guilty Saturday pleasure. Their blueberry vanilla scone besides being huge is without a doubt the best I?ve ever had except maybe, the blueberry white chocolate might be better. I got chocolate cake for my daughter's birthday. Everyone loved it. The cake was moist with perfect sweetness. The design looked great with nice color combination.

A lovely gem of a shop in Hillsborough! From their outrageously delicious donuts, to the relaxed and welcoming music selection, this shop welcomes you with open arms! I highly suggest the Ham Jam Tart, it was savory and sweet and just the perfect thing to start the day. If you want quality baked goods that taste amazing, go to Kims!

Donuts are delicious, so are the bear claws, and the pop tarts. Well everything really. Kim?s cakes are the absolute best (love the salted caramel chocolate cake) and the staff is super friendly and accommodating. Update: If I could give Kim?s Bake Shop 36 stars I would. My husband ordered a gluten free cake for my birthday this year and IT WAS THE BEST GLUTEN FREE DESSERT I HAVE EVER TASTED. Multiple friends commented the same. If you?re GF, go with a GF chocolate caramel toffee cake. Life changing.

The cinnamon toast crunch cake was by far the best cake I've had in my life. Do yourself a favor and order one for your next special occasion. 10/10

What a treat! My husband and I visited on a whim right before they closed. I was nervous to go inside because it was so close to closing time. Kim was so warm and friendly! We got a couple cookie sandwiches and a apple cider donut. Everything was delicious. Can?t wait to go back and try their chicken pot pie.

Kim did the desserts for our small wedding and did a wonderful job! Everyone was talking about how delicious the desserts were. We had an assortment of cupcake and cake donut flavors and a small decorated cutting cake. She was very responsive and took care of delivery and set-up of the desserts for a reasonable fee. I'd be happy to work with her again!

I?ve been there three times now and have been so happy with everything every time. Delicious pastries that are priced right! Cold brew is absolutely so delicious! First visit...stopped in Friday morning...no pies , and only one cake choice available. Ordered 6 mixed doughnuts for the office. The doughnuts were very dry and crumbled in our hands after first bite. Knowing that the shop has limited days they are open, I was hopeful with Friday being their first day of the week being open , that the goods would be flavorful , moist and a have a selection of pies and cakes. Friendly service, plentiful outdoor patio seating, an amazing peaches and cream scone, and easy access to downtown. They also had a great selection of craft beer for sale. Kim's Bake Shop is definitely worth a visit.

Excellent local bake shop always has plenty of delicious options, including usually at least one gluten free baked good option. Staff is friendly, location is lovely, nice outdoor seating. Highly recommend!

One word describes Kim?s Bake Shop?.?OUTSTANDING! There were many fresh baked items to select. I went for the cranberry orange scone. I?m a fan of scones and this was the best. To top that off, I had a pot of French press coffee. If you?re a lover of coffee, French press coffee is as good as it gets. The atmosphere both inside and out was charming. It was great to see the bakers busy at their craft. You will not be disappointed!

Went in on a whim, and walked out with the most delicious, cakey, buttery pumpkin glaze donut; and a chocolate orange babka that was so wonderfully balanced!
