Tried these at the end of the day but the donuts were still amazing. Can?t imagine how much better they are in the morning. Their donut base is light, airy, yeasty and not too dense. It?s just what a donut should be. That comes through with their classic glazed donut. Their fritters were good but didn?t stand out. The apple fritter had big chunks of apple filling but the glaze for some reason was slightly too sweet for me (maybe it just has too much of it?). I preferred the blueberry part of the blueberry
The best donuts I've ever tried. We had three different tastes. Can't decide what is the best one. Thank you
Super friendly service, very fresh coffee, ground and used within seconds. The donuts are artisinal effectively, with traditional types but with flavorings and features that are very unique. The only thing missing is an area to enjoy your food. This is strictly takeout, although we stood outside and enjoyed our treats.
My wife and I have started doing what we are calling, "Spontaneous Saturday!" First, I pick our first place to start where her and I have never been. Today, I picked Kettle Glazed Doughnuts, and what an awesome pick. We live close by and never stop by. We'll that will change. I had the Blueberry Fritter, and my wife had the Maple Old Fashion. Both were extremely delicious. We had the Carmel Latte's. Unfortunately, I did not like their coffee, but for anyone who hasn't had a Latte from Starbucks. You may lik
Great local stop for doughnuts and coffee that?s a step up from your typical yum yum or California doughnuts. Their specialty items are tasty and they make a decent latte. The staff there are also incredibly friendly and attentive. We love coming here as a local weekend stop for a little something sweet. I will say however, if you are something of a a doughnut connoisseur you may by a little let down. Don?t get me wrong, these are good doughnuts. But there are small things - like their buttermilk doughnuts
Interesting flavors & really nice employees. However, I thought the donuts were decent but not to the caliber of the other more notable LA donut shops. check it out if you want some unique varieties. Go early as I went in afternoon and there were limited options.
Best donuts we tried during our time in California! We tried them because the place was conveniently located next to our hotel but we went back again and again because of their deliciousness. They are a bit pricey but totally worth it, and I?d highly recommend trying the S?Mores one - perfection. My only note is that one night we were coming back to the hotel and we saw they threw out all of their leftovers donuts and covered them in cleaning products so that nobody could eat them, which feels insensitive
The BEST cold brew in LA and that?s saying something. Very friendly staff. They just get it. I pick up coffee here more than anywhere else and feel excited to start my day. More of a to-go spot than a sit down. I also enjoy some of their vegan doughnuts from time to time.
Kettle Glazed half dozen - 5 ??! Glazed, apple fritter, nutter butter, Boston creme, raspberry fill lemon glaze, strawberry rhubarb This is a real hidden gem! I eat a lot of donuts and like pizza, even mediocre donuts are often good for me. But when you find a very high quality donut you immediately notice. Kettle Glazed has a really really good donut. A couple of highlights from this batch. They fill the Boston creme after you order. This is genius. Creme is as fresh as it gets. The strawberry rhubarb ha
I like this place! There were about 20 choices of donut at the counter and some interesting flavor combinations I hadn't tried before. My favorite was this plain sugar-dusted donut which was on the top left of the case. Also I had some if a lemon blueberry which was great. Donuts were between $2-$3 each, there was a nicely designed coffee bar and everything was super clean and safe.
Very delicious fresh doughnuts in a small boutique. I would highly recommend this to many of you as long as their drinks. Prices were appropriate and the staff were friendly. The place was mostly clean but the tables could use a little more elbow grease as well as cleaning up after previous guests.
Liked all the donuts I tried here but the thing about this place is that I usually don?t like filled donuts but thissss one hit different. The jam was very good - definitely fresh & not too sweet. I was surprised I liked it. Also the dough in the Crumb Donut was perrrfect ??
Edit: 4 years later and Kettle Glazed is still the best! Had cronuts at various spots in Los Angeles and still believe this place has the best one around. I feel that even the bakery at the Grove that's owned by the guy who invented the cronut isn't as good as this place. It's not heavy, not overly sweet, and just the right flakiness, they also have several other donuts which are all really good too like the maple bacon bar and apple fritters. Just try it.
This place was great. Good donuts for a reasonable price, and really nice service. I had a blueberry lemon fritter and some of their glazed donut holes, and was pleased with it all.
I was visiting a friend and found this place as a suggestion nearby. The location is small with limited parking but the quality of the donuts were fantastic. Very fresh and good quality food! I am a fan of their old fashioned glaze variety of donuts but you cannot go wrong with any option. Enjoy !
Never had a cronut before. This was a spectacular culinary experience. Cream filled once ordered, Cinnamon-sugar dipped with a chocolate drizzle. Super fresh and delicious. Daughter had a Vanilla vegan donut with Vanilla icing she loved. Worth the stop on the way to the Hollywood sign. Great coffee also!
Their donuts are fresh and delicious every day. Some donuts these days can be super over the top with the decorations and they don?t even taste good, completely missing the point of a donut - but the flavor on Kettle Glazed donuts hits the spot every time! They?ve got the looks and the taste. To quote Paul Hollywood, ?style & substance?!
Slacking on the social distancing monitoring and enforcement. Apple fritter was very light on the apple. Vanilla cinnamon twist was nice. A subtle cinnamon roll flavor. Would have liked a touch more cinnamon. Donut holes were the family fav. Parking is limited. Park in the aisle facing the alley for an easier get away.
I am almost 55 years old and I guarantee you I've had never never ever had any donut that takes him so great if you don't even close to that kettle glazed donut I suggest you run over there and buy them all out and try their chai tea or any of their coffee they are the best I'm moving next door into the liquor store so I have somewhere to go every morning for my breakfast because there is none that is better thank you now look what happened to my box please kettle please fill it back up simply the best I've
A short walk from the Kimpton Everly Hotel, this is a donut shop primarily for take out as there are just two small tables for seating available. The cronut was filled with cream though I must agree with other reviews that the amount of cream they fill it with leaves much to be desired. The glazed and smore donuts were decent. Overall not a bad option for a quick bite in the morning.
Great little coffee and donut place at a reasonable price. We had the drip coffee, a Chai latt?, the blueberry lemon old fashioned, vanilla old fashioned, and raspberry filled power donut. Everything was tasty and fresh, and the blueberry lemon was one of the best donuts I've ever had.
Such a gem. Doughnuts are all fresh and delicious and staff is friendly. Highly recommend.
awesome donuts close to the Adler Hotel reasonable price USD2.5 to USD4 per donut they serve barista coffee as well, around USD4 per cup
The shop seems to be unimpressive, but the variety and quality of donuts is really at a high level. I recommend to stop by and indulge. The line of locals which is forming in the morning is a testimony of the quality.
The 2 stars are for the POOR customer service. I asked for donuts and she put one on another as she didn't care at all. I was bringing breakfast to someone and I had to have donuts like that. I asked for a small coffee and coffee refill and she forgot the coffee cup... I had to remind her that I ordered a small coffee as well. If you cannot be nice and energetic with customers, you shouldn't work in customer service
Quick service, great donuts, good (pretty damn hot) coffee. Not that much room to sit and eat, but I guess most people will be eating in their car or getting donuts to take away.
Amazingly delicious selection of old school, fresh, glazed doughnuts, crunchy crullers and croissant donuts, prompt service, small parking lot. Come early before they run out of doughnuts.
Let?s face it, the LA area is FILLED with donut shops and it?s often tough to figure out if you are getting something unique and home made or something defrosted. Well Kettle Glazed is legit - they are tasty and have some yummy unique options. Service was great and also very quick. Prices are in line with the quality of the donuts and their iced tea was great as well. Hope I can come back on my next visit to LA!
Perhaps the best donut AND the best latte I've ever had. Truly. Crazy smooth and creamy latte and decadently fluffy and sweet donuts. ??????
Honest to goodness the best donuts in LA and fantastic smooth coffee. There's a lot of debate on donuts in this city but I have and will loudly proclaim that they are the best. Get the fluffernutter.
Place is very basic and simple no efforts was made to make it remotely attractive but the doughnuts were delicious we tried a few different ones and they all tastes pretty good . The guy helping us out was also very helpful and nice
The doughnuts speak for themselves. A little better tasting than anything in town and also some how magically healthier, Kettle Glazed had a local following that is already loyal and ripe for franchise. The only problem being that they sometimes don't have that favorite donut that you came in for. .
These are the best donuts in all of Los Angeles - great flavors, specialty flavors, great vegan donuts. Try the cruffin, the best cinnamon twist ever, we love em all! I forgot about the ube! Great price range - specialty if it?s in your budget but the ?original? styles are great too. And best of all not overly sweet like some donuts. They catered our wedding and were a huge hit! The staff and Sami are the best! And the coffee is great! Parking can be tricky but worth it, just don?t be a jackbag and bl
We got the strawberry rhubarb, the vanilla filled croissant doughnut, the cinnamon twist, the ube and the cruffin (a muffin doughnut). The strawberry rhubarb was a cronut with a slightly sweet and tary jam inside. The vanilla cronut was filled with french vanilla thin pudding. The ube was if you took ube chips and turned them into a donut. The cruffin was a mini monkey bread. And the cinnamon twist was a small cinnamon roll in twist form. Very good donuts but not worth the 30 min drive.
coffe its most of the time good enough, choice of sizes its good, but doughnuts are kind of heavy dough like bagel style something gummy, service is whatever depending on their mood, some times are rushing and urge to pay when you just start odering coffe, even is no one else waiting.
Very delicious old fashioned style donuts. I came here with my fiance and we decided to try the vegan donuts which were strawberry cake flavored with icing on top. The donuts were AMAZING, so fresh soft and delicious. Mmmmm we will definitely be making this our new local donut quick stop for regular and vegan friendly donuts! The customer service was great also, we were greeted and taken care of very well.
Delicious! I had a gluten-free pumpkin doughnut with Maple icing. Coffee was great & my kids loved the regular glazed doughnuts.
I?m from the Bay Area, When I went here I thought it was gonna be another crafted donut shop but no, they really do have the best in the whole city, they don?t over pack the donuts with sugar so they aren?t overly sweet to the point it becomes a huge turn off, they are ALWAYS fresh and tasty! , and the staff are so Friendly and knowledgeable about everything! So good strongly recommend trying!!!
Damn good donuts! Very tasty and generously proportioned, coffee is fantastic too! THANKS LILLY, YOU WERE ALSO GREAT!!
First time here! Loved it i got a iced coffee and glazed they were good! They have alot to choose from but i tried the traditional glazed, next time I'll try something else! Definitely a place to try.
The doughnuts are phenomenal. While they have the classics (which are baseline really good), they always have interesting flavors like lemon frosted raspberry jelly filled or s'mores or vanilla bean glazed. The Boston cream was filled-to-order! Always way tastier than anything from a national or regional chain. Coffee is great. Service is pleasant. There are only 4 seats and 2 tables so it's really a to-go place but worth a stop. Definitely not overpriced.
Oh my goodness! Great place...super yummy doughnuts and this one is a VEGAN lemon! Do yourself a favor and make this a have to on your list!
I have personally always favored the chocolate w/ sprinkles. But the DO DOTS that are ??????. At a quarter a DOT, you can?t go wrong with some bite sized cinnamon donut holes
The Kettle Glaze place is one of the best surely everyone loves. It?s the best place to buy deliciously made donuts, drinks freshly made at an affordable rate. From the staff friendly, knowledgeable, and warm welcoming. Excellent service and foods great.
Used to be decent, but it has gone down hill. I ordered 2 filled cronuts - one was almost not filled at all, just two pitiful tiny dabs of vanilla - and for almost $6 a donut too. It also tasted stale, as if it was made too long ago... and the employee literally turned around and stared at the screen once the tip selection popped up until I made a choice, which was awkward and uncomfortable. It was also the most attention I got from the employees - service was vaguely rude and unsettling as it has been the
I'm not gonna lie , it's just normal. None of their doughnuts are bad at all , but it's not like it's any better than Yum Yum , or Randy's . I would go again , but I wouldn't go out of my way .
Best donuts ever. I like their Arnold palmer drink and the chocolate peanut. That is my usual. I just ate the S'mores donut. It was delicious I recommend the kettle.
The people working there seem like they don?t want to be there. On multiple occasions, I?ve bought jelly-filled donuts that have little to no filling inside! They also taste a little stale. Not worth the price! The Matcha latte is good though.
Hit or miss. Gotten really good donuts there, also have gotten donuts that taste like frosted play dough. Same with coffee, sometimes it?s solid, today it was burnt. That all would be worth a trip except it?s also kind of expensive :/
My boyfriend lives a few blocks from here so we come monthly for their delicious donuts. Friendly staff as well. We will definitely be coming back.
Always excellent. A company I work for sources here, and I gotta say its not only efficient, but friggin delicious. Otherwise Ive been coming here before I even worked for (stated company) cause theyve got a nice mom n pop feel to them. Great spot for a quick bite, or just sitting down to brainstorm ideas over coffee. Absolute maximum dedication to making people feel good instead of trying to make a quick buck by being a "Donut and Coffee Shop in Hollywood." Highly reccomend. Its where you can taste the lov
My favorite were blueberry lemon and the cruffin! Yum!
Great small donut shop. Small selection of donuts but everything single one is very flavorful and unique. They were a bit cold but I understand they had been sitting there for a while. Overall great customer service and friendly staff.
Kettle Glazed make the best doughnuts I?ve ever had in LA. Always freshly baked. The maple glazed, apple fritter, and ube are my current favs. Service is friendly and efficient, too.
Great doughnuts (I got chocolate glazed, raspberry filled and an apple fritter), good coffee, friendly service.
I?ve always been welcomed and left the store with happy heart, but today was different. When I visited this afternoon, I noticed that the employee seemed unwelcoming. To my disappointment, when I opened the box, I found that he had crammed four donuts into a small box? it doesn?t look like what I bought anymore.
Visiting from Canada and we really needed some good coffee and doughnuts. We chose the right place by coming here. The staff were very friendly. Good, strong coffee, amazing apple fritters and the croissant style donuts are so good. Will definitely come here again
Our favorite local donut shop! It's delicious and fresh every day. The maple donuts are always my favorite. Even though the lot is small, I've always gotten a parking spot. It's at a busy intersection though, so turning out left is annoying but it's doable.
Two guys behind the counter were rude and it made the whole experience uncomfortable. They could use some customer service skills. They acted as if I was there to serve them, very cold when I asked questions. On top of that, the donut did not taste that fresh and the items were overpriced in my opinion for what you get. They also tried to charge me for an item I did not order and luckily, I saw it on the screen and had it removed. If I had not noticed, I have no doubt I would have been charged extra. Will n
Friendly service. The lemon iced raspberry filled may be my new favorite doughnut anywhere. Perfect! Don't miss this treat just a couple of blocks from Hollywood Blvd.
Surprising excellent donut shop, not your average donut joint. I bought 1 ate it & came back for 3 and coffee.
Best doughnuts in LA! Very decadent but somehow not at all heavy or greasy. Great staff. Wonderful selection including vegan.
My first time at the location, my client who lives in the area brought me an Ube donut and Vanilla donut to my work at Thomas Acura. In Covina. Instantly fell in love with the Ube donut!!! Not crazy sweet, u taste the ube and it's like a cake texture instead of donut. Ordered 4 to go. Also had Boston cream, Pumpkin, Blueberry/lemon fritter. All so delicious. Also had a chocolate croissant/donut cream filled. AWESOME! But the best of all was the service! Alex was very patient with my wife n I, we asked her
The best Ube donuts in Hollywood!!!
I've been going to this location for donuts for 33 years. It began when it was still Alex Donut and they were the best donuts in town when they were open. Kettle Glazed Doughnuts has continued the tradition of offering the best donuts in L.A. period. The staff also is friendly and helpful just as before. Thank you to the new owners for continuing the great service and quality all the while adding a new spin on things.
The donuts and the service was great!! However, there are no tables insides to go and sit down to eat. We would have loved to eat them there.
Donuts are awesome, but customer service is even better! Our 4 yr old was having a meltdown and wanting a very specific donut (with white frosting and sprinkles- of course). The sweet lady popped in to the back and made him exactly what he wanted, without even being asked. So impressed (and thankful)!
This place is A all around only thing that keeps it fork A+ is the hours are wrong. It opens at 7am NOT 6am like the listing. I waited for 20 mins
The best donuts store in my neighborhood.
A little GEM in a tiny strip mall! Our family of 4 ordered 4 different donuts, including a "cruffin". We shared bites & these are some of the best donuts we've ever had! DELICIOUS! Very good coffee too!
I almost gave this place one star because of how much weight I?ve gained from eating so many delicious donuts, but it?s not their fault. This is, hands down, the best donut spot in Los Angeles. Staff is friendly, donuts are incredible? get the s?mores one or the chocolate long one. Also, read the bad reviews carefully. They?re snotty Hollywood type people complaining because they?re miserable having to wait two minutes for donuts. I live down the street, this place rules.
Great donut and coffee shop with a great selection. Their donuts are not too sweet and have a nice weight balance and bite to them. Some flaky and have filling in the center or around the sides.
This was my first visit to this location and they were closing for the day. I had just made and ordered one donut just to taste. The flavor and texture of the donut was so good I almost caved-in and bought another one. But I decided to stay disciplined. They're located inside a mini shopping area and parking is limited.
Overall 4.5 stars. We are on the constant search for the best donuts. I would place Kettle Glazed up there. Our favorites were blueberry vanilla, blueberry lemon, maple vanilla, blueberry cruffin, vanilla bean. I will advise that these donuts are sweet. On a 9.9/10 sweetness scale. Just don't eat too many or else you'll feel sick from the sugar rush. I definitely see myself coming back.
This place is a favorite for fresh doughnuts! They have some really creative options like smores that are great but the classic glazed ones are killer. The coffee is also really good and they have a lot of options. Seating is pretty limited but they do have a few tables inside, and you can definitely still have a meeting there while you have coffee and doughnuts!
WHAT DID I GET: A dozen assorted donuts including the Maple Bacon, the Vanilla Raspberry and the Original Chocolate Drizzle Cronut. HOW WAS IT: They were all delicious. Full of flavor, satisfying and unpretentious, these donuts are some of the best I've had in LA so far, and it's clear why this place is highly rated. HOW MUCH WAS IT: It cost around $25 including my contribution to the tip jar. WOULD I GO BACK/RECOMMEND THIS PLACE: Absolutely to both! If you're in the mood for a donut, don't just se
PHENOMENAL donuts! Their cronuts are amazing as well as their blueberry donuts!! And the gentleman that was working when I was there was SUPER kind to the lady behind me who was having a rough day. Love this place, just wish I didn't live on the other side of LA.
The best donuts in town. The worst customer service. Why dont people understand that when you work in hospitality you have a responsibility to the customer to give them service and if your any good at what you do , you naturally want to make that person's day or at least serve them with a smile. Maybe it was just an off day ...but that was just about the most un friendliest service I've had in a while. Both girls at the counter were to be flat out honest. Rude. It's a shame because I really like the donu
BEST BEST BEST donut shop in town! Try the a vegan donuts; you will not be disappointed! The regular coffee is amazing and just a little cream is all you'll need!! I will not eat a donut from any other shop!!!
excellent donut spot in LA... better than pink box joints but priced like pink box places. they have their version of the cronut, which is about $3.75, but I'd rather get 2 Boston creme filled donuts for the same price. they also have gluten free donuts (haven't tried it yet)
We visit here every time we stay in LA. Highly recommend every morning we ride or walk to get coffee donuts and chat with the server, she knows where we are from back east and we love her fun cheery disposition. Donuts and coffee and great too lol. It's a must have to get us going every morning.
DONUTSSSSSSSSSS. This may make my top 5 donut place now. The place is pretty small and hidden. It is in a small plaza on Franklin and traffic there is so busy. The donuts are really good, I enjoyed their mocha croissant donut and the vanilla glazed donut. So good! I will be back to try more!
Their donuts were good but their customer service was awful. Moreover, we went twice to give a chance, both times we encountered rude employees. It's the customers that give a store its presence, and how painful it is to treat them in such an offensive way. I don't think I will ever visit this place again.
My favorite donut shop in Los Angeles! The donuts are delicious and the service is wonderful. One of the employees there is an artist and even wrote a special message on my box as the doughnuts were a gift for an office. They really go the extra mile!
The staff is friendly, the doughnuts are delicious, and they have some damn fine coffee. This place is the policeman's dream, except I feel comfortable showing up with a performance enhanced appetite. Oh yeah, be sure to show up early. The popular flavors sell fast. I'm not vegan but their vegan doughnuts are fantastic. You can call ahead to have an order ready too. They also deliver with a minimum $20 order and within a 3 mile radius. For anything lower or further away use Postmates.
CRONUTS! This place was a bit of a challenge to get to but definitely worth the effort if you're in the area! It's located in a tiny plaza. There's ample free parking in the lot. Has a good variety of donuts and cronuts to choose from. The people at the counters are really nice and friendly. You can ask them for good recommendations. What I ordered: -Original Glazed Cronut -Chocolate Old Fashioned -S'more Donut -Blueberry Donut -Vanilla Bean Glazed Donut All the donuts were amazing! They were all tasty.
Best coffee. Best donuts. Best friendly faces in Hollywood! The ham and cheese croissants are impossible to refuse. Their Boston cr?me is rich and silky. Love this place.
So addictive!!! I can get over how delicious their apple fritters, raised and cake donuts are. I'm obsessed with their chocolate glazed chocolate cake is. It's like a little dessert cake but for anytime including breakfast! It's terrible how much I love them and how conveniently they are located to my home.
