Ken's SuperFair Foods & Shell Express

You haven't been to Aberdeen until you've been to Ken's supermarket. The market is extraordinary well laid out specialty items galore like fresh made sushi everyday, who would have thought you'd get sushi in Aberdeen? The bakery makes beautiful donuts and all sorts of bakery items the meat department has many blends of their own meat like tiger meat which is unusual and extremely popular. I enjoyed the liquor department that has a large assortment of wines whiskeys vodkas but then who could ever forget the

Tried to cash a paycheck but a very rude lady told me she didn't "have bank" the day before and had to "watch her money". Could at least have been polite about it. Everyone else was friendly though.

Shannon - the manager, was very rude to myself and my brother (who used to work there) when we asked for help finding a specific item. It was unnecessary when we were asking for help finding a product in the ethnic foods sections. It?s usually a more positive environment but this time around it was not.

Great selection of greeting cards. They have a large selection of Mother's Day and Graduation cards as well as a wall of everyday cards for all occasions.

Prices are fair for the higher quality foods they got. Their tiles feel nice on bare feet too.

We stopped for a bucket of fried chicken from the deli. Their fried chicken puts all other grocery store fried chicken to shame. It was moist, perfectly seasoned and delicious, and the price was very reasonable. It was enjoyed by someone with a gluten sensitivity with no negative effects. (I don't know if it is gluten-free or not.)

I love this store! The employees are so polite and a very big help! One of biggest reasons I continue to stay with them. Never a problem I have encountered. A big thank you to Tammy with Grocery To Go! She's amazing!

I had the pleasure of dealing with multiple employees in the deli department as I was trying to set up an event from out of state. Thanks to all the employees knowledge and patience, the event went off without any issues. All the party trays were beautifully done and well received by party attendees. Thank you all!! Well done!!

We bring a group of 10-12 guys up to SD twice a year. We make sure to stop in both to and from our destination each trip. They have about everything you need.

Nice grocery store, but prices are crazy! I'm not sure how a small town store owner thinks it's ok to gouge their prices and screw their own town folks. Smh. But, I will say, they are cheaper than keslers. I'm a visitor here. All small towns do this. It's sad, really. That's why a lot of people shop at walmart for their groceries now. I DO! Do better, small town business owners.

I appreciate the customer service here. The young people are friendly, and I enjoy their upbeat attitudes. Wish I could say the same about the other two big grocery stores in town. There's a good variety of food items to chose from! Nice. I've also heard the owner is gracious and conscientious about the community he serves here in Aberdeen. Wonderful! Highly recommend this store!

They carry a decent selection, not to willing to accommodate special request, don't care for deli meat as they pre-slice the lunch meat and place it in a case with other deli items giving the meat an off taste and drier then it should be. Sometimes, find items that are still on the shelf but beyond the good by date.

Love Ken's super market they care for the elderly and the residents of Aberdeen. Fantastic customer service provided from all the staff especially Ray the manager.

We went to the Deli at 5pm on June 1st 2023 We asked for a 12 piece chicken the older lady working was extremely RUDE She said it would take 20 minutes or longer. She said some of us employees want to go home at 6pm. She was yelling at the employees people shopping stopped to see what the yelling was. She needs to be fired and take a anger management class. I have never been treated so RUDE by any emplyee ever

When we needed to feed our team and their parents on short notice (20 people in all), the deli staff at Ken's met our challenge. We were able to order chicken tenders and salads, and had everyone fed in a short time. Excellent service!

Fantastic store. Kevin is just super. I was there to work a table for Alzheimer's Association. Keven bent over backwards to accommodate us...coffee, Thanksgiving cookies, you name it. I can't say enough about Kevin and his staff...JUST FANTASTIC. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING KEVIN!!!

Good grocery store with great employees, love there great choices and verity. Especially the Mexican Isle. I also love the Big Buy ends and pieces Bacon 3lb pack. I made some homemade tamales and enchiladas for Thanksgiving, and they had everything that I needed! (Corn Husks, I couldn't get anywhere else in town) It's so convenient since I just moved to this side of town. They have a great atmosphere there. Great produce. And the people like spirits. They have a great selection.

I ate a pack of the Jerky right after purchased.. I was an absolute mess for 2-3 days after eating with a horrible gut ache. I noticed a while after purchase (and eating) there was a good bit of mold on one piece. (not to mention jerky was quite mediocre)

Ken's is easy to get around and find what you are looking for. Prices are good for most groceries. I love their 3 cents off coupon for fuel.

Reasonable and great customer service..

We only go here for meat sales. The check out people are so unfriendly. They will not say hi or did you find everything. We are new to the app to get your coupon scanned from your phone so we forget (our fault) but that's why you buy it. And the biggest problem I have when they bag your stuff the put the bloody meat on top of your stuff like can goods. And when you say something they shoot you dagger eyes. Not that hard to train your employees on bagging groceries. Its probably not a big deal anymore

Their prices are EASILY twice as high as any other store in the area. I compared prices here with prices at 2 other stores in the area on basic things like cat food, dry pasta, milk, eggs, peanut butter, various soups, mac and cheese, sandwich bags, dish soap....all my usual stuff was twice as much or in some cases a little more than twice the cost of walmart. Aside from that their selection is severely lacking. I wouldnt shop here again unless the other stores burned down or something and there was nowhere

Was surprised to find brisket bacon at Ken's, so I had to try it. It was delicious! Love finding new things to try there! Thanks Ken's!

I love Aberdeen, Ipswich, and Britton locations. Gorton needs some love in their work. Not too many actually care about their jobs. It is a paycheck. I did work their recently. Even told managers of being treated in derogatory ways. Even showed a public post about my son that someone posted. Nothing done ever. Used to go to work happy. Bought 2 cartons of icecream that was clearly marked clearance for 5.99 per carton. Cashier charged over 7.00. When I asked about it, told me to go to service desk. Service desk refunded only one of the overcharges and walked away.

Pathetic customer service and one of there drivers needs to go retake his license test because he almost hit me on 6th ave because he didn?t use his blinkers and no less started switching lanes with our vehicles side by side still damn near. They may be slighter smaller than other Aberdeen grocery stores, but the customer service is top notch and they support the local community. For these reasons we shop at this grocery store most often.

I shop there all the time. And sometimes I call and ask for reduced apples or stuff and I get a 5 lb. Bag for .99 cents. They make u feel important and welcome.

Great personality staff they have good food there to eat inside the cafeteria part they have a great meat department they have a nice new beer cave that they built and have a nice selection of liquor . Their prices are reasonable they have a nice selection of deli item you also can buy hot food items there too they have a bank set at the store and also a pharmacy

My goto place in Aberdeen! (And I visit family here alot!) Great deli, bottle shop, and of course groceries, gas, sportsman store... everything necessary for life!

It is nice that they have items on hand that I do not find in other stores. I would like to see more of Mountain Dew throwback or real sugar carried in the store then they have on hand now.

I came to get a brownie cake and I had to ask for help after like 10 minutes waiting and no other customer around so anyways so asked John how long would it take to make a brownie cake or just put happy birthday on a brownie cake and John said two days lol but the guy wasn't even doing nothing but eating in the back he just kept running off when I needed his help his name is John lazy guy

Store is spacious and you're not bumper to bumper cart. Always seem to have at least 3 checkouts available.

I was in cans looking for garlic butter which they are in the deli I didn't know that so I picked up a jar of garlic and some butter when I got to the front I found out that they had the garlic butter already made so I got it and I paid for it and got stopped at the door for shoplifting all because I didn't put the garlic back in the spot where it was not every person that comes in your store shoplifting

This is my choice of locally owned grocery store! I get groceries, medicines and gas all at the same place. Better yet, it's only 3 blocks from home!
