Kai's Donuts

Good place for quick breakfast homemade doughnuts and bakery items. In particular I liked the kais milk tea with boba, it?s not that expensive and tastes good. Kolaches and tacos were also good and the lady tending was nice.

I love this place! I go here pretty often for breakfast and have never had anything short of a great experience! They have a variety of drinks (coffee, tea) as well as a variety of donuts and kolaches! Their prices are pretty fair, and the workers are always very kind. My personal favorites are the Jalapeno Sausage and Cheese!

Absolutely awful experience. I came in a full week before my daughter?s birthday to order custom letter donuts. I spoke with someone in person, and then even called the day before to confirm. I was assured?again?that the donuts would be ready the next morning. But when I showed up today, not only were they not done, the woman actually laughed and said, ?Yeah, they didn?t make them because they didn?t know what colors you wanted.? Donuts were fine and all but they took down their massive menu with the prices of all the items so I had to guess what I was gonna be paying. Kolaches look like they have a full sausage in them but only have half of one so that was a bit misleading. $3 for half of a sausage link kinda sucks

Kolaches are fine, but the pre-made breakfast tacos are soggy, rubbery and gross. Donuts look good, but we didn't try any.

Love Kai?s kolache?s! The boudin was my favorite but all the sausage ones I tried were very good. Service was super friendly and the prices are very reasonable. They make very good coffee and have a wide selection of doughnuts. I like that this is a family owned and operated place, Kai and his wife do it all and do it very well. Go by and see them, you will not be disappointed.

Donuts were alright and the kolache was good, but I didn't order a kolache, I ordered a sausage egg and cheese burrito. Cost ne $5 dollars which was pretty good

Great doughnuts. They have a drive thru ?? I like their glazed ones and they always throw some extra Munchkins for free. They also have these breakfast kolashe or croissants that are really good too!

My favorite place to come when I visit College Station for Breakfast. My friend that serves the donuts and is the family owner I'm thankful for her. She does the best job ever.

I go here all the time and absolutely love the donuts. They always have cute and fun designs too! Get the boudian kolaches. They are incredible. My wife usually gets their coffee and she enjoys it. Everyone who works here is also super friendly.

I love donuts and have eaten at almost all the donut shops in town and Kai's Donuts is my favorite! They are reasonably priced, have a drive through, are locally owned, and have a great assortment of donuts, kolaches, breakfast tacos, coffee's, and teas! I've tried pretty much everything on their menu and have never been disappointed. The service has always been great too. I'll continue to support and share Kai's Donuts as a suggestion to everyone looking for a local spot to get donuts and more!

Went the first time for the specialty donuts, especially nutella filled and they didn't have any. Understandable because it was super early close to opening, so we settled for a coffee and donut holes instead. Coffee was really good actually, just pricey. The donuts were tasty and donut holes too. The only issue was selection. It was minimal choices with the the majority being regular donuts with different icing/toppings. Ot was a Monday after school was out so maybe that was the reason. They had a ton of kolachies though.

Been coming here for 3, coming up on 4 years, and it's been amazing every time. I've seen the shop grow: expanding their offerings, adding custom drinks, and the owner is absolutely amazing. New hires and employees are always super nice and helpful and you are noticed. Really feels like you're supporting a small business and you feel appreciated. I'm really glad they were able to survive the pandemic. Thanks. College is a little easier with this place nearby.

They are now offering boba! I tried their taro milk tea w/o boba, and it was great. Their donut and kolache menus are great, and the location is convenient too. Support your local, family owned business!

Best kolaches you?ll find in town. Only issue is I come about 3 times a week around 8am, and almost every time they are already out of the plain sausage (the only one I eat). I could understand if it was near closing, but it?s only 2 hours into them opening with 5 to go. You?d think at some point it would dawn on them to? prepare more of what you are always out of at 8? Especially the plain, it?s the only one a lot of kiddos eat.

Nice folks working there, they are a little inconsistent in what they have if you go early. They can be a little forgetful leaving items out when I get donuts for the office. Coffee is decent but never really hot and I really don?t like lukewarm coffee.

Kais was really great! I did go right when they opened, but they were already well stocked and ready to serve with a smile! Of course the donuts were SO great. Be aware, however, that their specialty donuts are very rich! We got a half dozen different ones, and had to eat them over the course of a couple days. Quick and tasty! Apple fritters are awesome. Specialty flavor donuts are fun and pretty good. Very sweet. Plain glazed are meh but not bad. Had iced coffee too though and it wasn't very good. It was just regular cheap hot coffee with ice but was priced as a cold brew or other nicer coffee. I'd stick to getting donuts here (which are very good)

Been regular customers for almost a year now. Their donuts are some of the best donuts I've ever had. My complaints would be that they have a lot of things listed on their menu that they don't actually sell (such as the Beef Philly and the tacos) and they are often out of the stuff to make iced coffee. Also, they don't write orders down (I assume because they've been doing this for years) but they've gotten my order wrong quite a few times because of this. I have tried pretty much every donut location in cstat (within 3 miles of campus) and have to say that they have the best donuts hands down. Great texture and flavor and reasonable donut prices too. I won?t rate the other stuff they sell since I barely tried them and don?t have anything to compare them to.

Service was friendly. Last visit the sausage rolls were luke warm in the cabinet and they made us all sick. We won't be going back. When they are fresh they are really good. Food opinions are always up for debate I'm eating the restaurant based on cleanliness and service and affordability. They are similar to babe's and much cheaper but food quality depends on when they made that last batch.

Great donuts, okay service. Then again, who needs service when all they really need to do is pick up a donut and put it in a bag for you? Interesting kinds of donuts that seems to come and go every once in a while. The menu stays constant for the most part. I personally enjoy the kolaches because of the dough they use. Coffee is decent as well. Medium roast, not too bitter, but not too sour either.

This place is old reliable. Just down the road for me, it has helped me through some lazy weekends.

Awesome new donut place. Best glazed in town, but the specialty ones are also great (and unique). Probably the best apple fritters in town, too. Kolaches are good, but Rolf are better (depending on the day). This place is a must-try, but I'd be very surprised if you don't go back.

Fantastic and fresh donuts made everyday before the sun even rises. Small mom and pop shop run usually just by the couple that owns it. The donuts are great and seem to be made fresh daily. After living in C.S. for 21 years, I'd say I prefer theirs to Shipley's.

I visited her with my son for his birthday. The donuts, iced coffee and kolaches were good, but the service was excellent!!! They made my son feel very special on his birthday ? This is definitely going to be our new donut stop!

Do NOT GO to shipley?s. This is the best kolache place in college station bryan area hands down. My boyfriend and I get it almost every weekend. They have the best kolaches and croissant breakfast sandwhiches! Donuts are really good too and the service is always great. First of all great donuts and kolaches. My favorite is the jalepeno kolache where it has great flavor and too much breading. Then the strawberry filled donut has some bits of strawberry in the filling that made it so tasty. Fast and friendly service makes this donut shop your one stop shop in the morning!

Anyone visiting College Station, must visit Kais donut. It's open from 6 am to 1.30. They bake everything fresh in the morning.

A very spare space that highlights the creations in two large display cases. The helper swore by the Apple fritter, and boy gum, it was among the best dang fritters I have had! Light, crispy with the perfect amount of chewiness and the hints of apples making their presence felt in a very pleasant way. I liked the fact that this was not cloyingly cinnamon filled as a lot of the Apple fritters are. Donuts were light and airy and eminently scarfable.

Donuts were not bad, but deeply disappointed with the service I received. We drove out of our way just to try this location and the woman did not greet us, had a poor attitude, and even tried to tell me how I was wrong on what I ordered, when she forgot to put one back. Over priced, poor selection, and never has the ingredients to make the coffee I order from thier menu. (Even first thing in the morning when they havent had an opportunity to run out of anything) this review will not be changed unless I get a good explanation for why you are repeatedly out of the ingredients you need at the beginning of the day, and when I can order a caramel frappe that's on your menu.

Single best kolaches and Donuts in town. Forget Kolache Rolfs, Donald's Donuts and Krispy Kreme; Kai's gets my vote! The price is the best as well- 3 kolaches, 3 donuts under $10 For a small donut shop inside a shopping center it is clean, well maintained, the owner is really nice and has a larger selection of donuts and kolaches than many larger spots. Kai's was the first place in town that has had Boudin Kolaches and his blueberry, cream cheese and red velvet donuts are fantastic.

A HIDDEN GEM. We tried the maple bacon, Oreo, and Nutella donuts and they were divine. Try their Vietnamese coffee; it was delicious and inexpensive too! Staff was also friendly and helpful in making suggestions.

Really good and creative donuts. For plain glazed, Shipley is still king, I think, and Rolf's may do better kolaches, but for any other kind of donut, Kai's is great. And also they have very decent glazed and kolaches.

Forget Shipley's. These are probably some of the best doughnuts I have ever had. We tried the red velvet, fruity pebbles, and a filled doughnut with Nutella. The red velvet is a cake doughnut.
