Got 2 dozen glazed donuts expecting to pay $12.80 per dozen, but was charged $18.99 per dozen. Despite explaining the issue, the owner refused to refund me and was dishonest about the pricing. Be careful when visiting this place.
Alright, it's before dawn, the kind of hour when the world feels mostly asleep, save for the hum of refrigeration units and the faint, hopeful glow of early-bird joints. I'm in Decatur, Alabama, and the GPS has pointed me to a place called K May Donuts & Coffee House on 6th Avenue SE. From the street, it?s exactly what it looks like: a hole in the wall. No pretense, no cutesy signage, just a building that?s seen a few sunrises, probably a few too many, judging by the facade. But this, this is precisely it.
Do not be fooled by the outside of the building. These doughnuts were fantastic. Fresh. Tasty. Wonderful doughnuts. Very kind owners and staff. 10/10 would recommend.
Was there on Monday 11/18 with my granddaughter. We ordered two donuts apiece and regretted that we only got 4, they were awesome. Will definitely be back, best donuts I have had in Alabama so far. Price was great also, just over $4 for 4 donuts.
By far and away some of the best donuts around. And the customer service with a super smile is top notch. I have donuts here 1-3 times a week. A nice family atmosphere. There is some booth seating inside. Theres a soda fountain and a stand up cooler with milk an chocolate milk and other beverages. The prices are very fair. Very fresh. I often go around 9-10am. I came all the way from Jacksonville Florida to Decatur Alabama for my 2nd round of doughnuts. The staff is nice and friendly? but the doughnuts and fritters are delicious.
Drove from Cullman to check this place out and have some coffee. 12:35pm no coffee so I left. That was my main reason for the trip. Im sorry but how can you eat donuts w/o coffee or hot chocolate?

I love this place. I usually only get donuts or pastries but today, today I tried the bacon, egg and cheese croissant . It was the absolute best flaky, buttery croissant I?ve ever eaten ??. And the eggs were real, fried eggs!!(none of that stuff that comes in a liquid in a carton!) I will be back to get this again tomorrow!! #i?mhooked ??

This is my go to for donuts. No matter what time in the morning you show up, you can tell that the staff is thankful for your business. The donuts are always fresh always good.
Donuts had a taste of old cooking oil. Coffee cups and lids didn?t match all the while one of the employees sits in the lobby on his phone. Here is an idea while you have nothing to do but sit around on your phone . Make things better for customers!!!

Growing up my family always got K-May donuts mainly for the Apple fritter but recently I have been ordering myself and wow I forgot how much I loved this place. The last few weeks I have ordered a few times for my work and they are always a hit! Way better than any of the large chain restaurants! Breakfast sandwiches are also delicious! 10/10 recommend
The kind of donut shop that will leave you speechless. Everything about this place is amazing and I wish more people knew about it. Soft donuts, full of flavor with pigs in a blanket you wouldn't believe. This family deserves every penny they make and then some!

If your ever in Decatur,AL..... I'm telling you this is hands down the best Doughnut shop in town. These Doughnuts are delicious! They have a great staff. Plus excellent prices. Plus they are open most of the day as well. So even you late sleepers can enjoy. Be sure to give them a try if your ever in the area.
This donuts spot, I would prefer over any donuts place in Decatur, very sweet people who own this place , and will get extra donuts if you purchase extra. Dunkin' Donuts is overrated . Please go support this small business they deserve it.
The best donuts you can get in Decatur, fried fresh in the morning! Apple fritters are the best, bear claws are the best, any glaze with any filling. Also LOVE their breakfast sandwich croissants and spicy pigs in a blanket. Staff is welcoming and remembers my husband?s usual order. So good that we have to eat the donut holes on the ride home.
Absolutely fantastic!!! So fresh. Really filled donuts. Blueberry with tons of blue berries in it. Reminded us of the donuts we got at bakeries as kids. The lady that serves you is sooo nice. Whenever in the area will go back!
We visit family in Decatur a couple of times a year. K May Doughnuts is ALWAYS on our list to visit! The doughnuts are spectacular! So delicious! Melt-in-your-mouth! We eat here almost every day that we are in town and we grab a dozen every morning on our road trip home to Virginia!

Best donuts I have ever had! my favorites are the red velvet, chocolate with sprinkles, bear claws, and their pigs in a blanket! Everything there is delicious though. :) Everyone there is extremely friendly and helpful.
This place is amazing definitely the best donuts I've ever had. I had to edit this because this doesn't cover how much I love this place. They're so friendly always drop a few extras in your bag or box of donuts and the pigs in a blanket are awesome.

The place is unique like a non-chain donut shop should be. Donuts are very good and they have other items such as pigs in blankets that are very good as well. Extremely friendly service and definitely worth the trip.
My favorite donut shop anywhere. Their homemade donuts are always fresh and delicious with a wide variety! I drive 30ish miles to get them and it is worth it every time.

Not good at all. I am always searching for a local donut place when I travel. This place gave me the creeps; it smelled bad and was messy. I probably should have just walked out but I purchased 2 items and they both just tasted like old grease. I took one but of each and tossed the. Save your money.
The glaze was over the top sweet and they need a new microwave. Sausage rolls were still cold after being 'heated'.
